Feature Of The Week
Active Members
John Sanchez and
Kathy Martin have come up with an idea to feature each week
one special person from the community to be the Person of the
Week (POTW). Bogdan and I have decided that this is a
terrific idea and will be supporting it fully. Each person
of the week will receive:
- Premium Exposure -
POTW's photo and bio near the top of the next community
newsletter.
- Recognition - Your
photo linked to your profile will be archived in the POTW
Archives on the community.
- Free Advertising
- 2 Months of Free Gold Membership. (A $49.90 Value!)

Beverly Armstrong
Person of the Week - July, Week 4
I entered the business a little over 20 years ago and
found it to really be a tough business. I had worked as a Nutritional
consultant and found it emotionally rewarding, but not necessarily
monetarily rewarding. Networking was an unrewarding adventure my
first year, but I was determined to succeed! As I began to
identify the various reasons it was so tough, I began to work at solving
them.
I love people. I love this business. I love writing, and I write for
several groups and companies. I also consult on pay plans etc.
I realized early on the need to provide ... I am called the 'Mother Hen'
by many, and I guess I am.
I love working with the Adland groups there is so much talent here, and
such a vast potential financial future ahead of this community and
others like it, that it excites me no end. I believe that as a
community the potential exists to eventually have enough 'muscle' to
make or break an opportunity based on its real potential not its
existing hype. THAT IS POWER! Power that we need in order to
change and the industry's image for the better! It would also be
the saving grace of this industry through the elimination of the scams
that pervade the industry to everyone's detriment!
If I could leave you with a thought I guess it would be this:
Like Mark Twain, "I have never let my schooling interfere with my
education." I advise you to do the same, educate yourself

Attitude - A
Marketer's Most Important Trait.
By Lynn Harris
Attitude is a key part of each of us. A central part of our
make-up, who we are as individuals. It is also a major factor
whether you succeed at what you do or fail. Your attitude about
life can give you many different outcomes to a situation, the
choice is up to you.
For an example, let's say you just woke up on your day off with
plans of doing something outside, to find an unexpected downpour
of rain. You can look at the situation in different ways, each
will have a different outcome. The choice is up to you.
Scenario one - You are instantly disappointed, fly off cursing
thinking "my plans are ruined!" You slump into a state of
depression and anger that your entire day is shot. And now
everything you do and everywhere you go is affected by this
course of action. Your cat rubs on your leg and you kick it off
breaking the new lamp you just bought. Your dog comes up licking
your hand, you slap at it and he runs under the table, knocking
over the table and dumping your breakfast in the floor.
Scenario two - You wake up glad to be alive and above ground.
You notice that the wind is blowing and it is raining like cats
and dogs. You realize that the days plans are completely wiped
out. You shrug your shoulders as you prepare to fix breakfast.
Thinking, "It will be a good day to spend inside and catch up on
things in here, spend time with my loving pets." You get things
done inside you had put off for months and enjoyed it.

My examples my be a little extreme, but you get the point.
It is human nature to "react", the emotional side of us.
We can change our outcomes a lot of times if we only start
thinking, instead of reacting. Think, "Is this the best reaction
to this situation?" If not, try and figure out how you are going
to approach it another way.
Be willing to do what it takes. If you fail at something, try
another approach. Don't give up when you are faced with a
downturn. Work on ways to turn it up. Be willing to help your
referrals. Make yourself available as a mentor and friend.
When we take the proper attitude, success itself may even have a
different definition. It may be more about being satisfied with
our efforts and the way we treat others than the amount on the
checks we get.
Just what is success for you?

1. Adland Members Businesses
Melih Ozetalay has given Community
Members a place to "Show-n-Shine" their businesses,
programs, products, what have you. This forum allows
us members to really showcase what it is we are involved in. Feel
free to have a look around or post your own opportunity.
This forum is on fire!
2.
A New Month - Humor, Humor, and More Humor
When I first
saw the name of the forum and then subsequent discussions
being created, I will admit, I put this forum on the
backburner to visit. When I finally did look at it, I
quickly realized that I should have come SOONER!
Craftie Linda gives us a daily dose
of humor very likely from her inbox but that's ok. I
enjoyed every post. The nifty thing is that everyone
else gets involved posting similar anecdotes and jokes which
will have your tummy hurting by the final post.
3. The Quality of Your Life Begins in Your Mind
Dave Young, who has been selected to be our Motivational
and Inspirational Expert demonstrates a shining example of
his action-stimulating skills. If you need something
to motivate you, look no further. Dave's forum is
chock-full of articles and other material to light a fire
under your chair.
