1.0  Community Central

Huge Jump In Community Traffic

I'd like to extend my thanks on behalf of everyone here at Adlandpro to you, our Community members for the tremendous recent response to our community pages.  Your visits and support over the past 2 weeks have resulted in an enormous jump in our traffic ratings.  We are now ranked in the top 3500 sites according to Alexa.com where only 2 weeks ago, we were ranked at 4300.  This is an 800 point jump from where we were before!  Not only that, but we have jumped from an average of 30 people online on the community at any given time to around 50 or so.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.  And it's all thanks to every one of you!  We couldn't be one of the number one sites without members like yourselves.  Many thanks once again.

1.1  New Community Features

Surf Adlandpro Faster, Free Credits Offer, and New Features

New Web server, Faster Surfing

The response to our community pages had been so great recently that, in the name of good customer service, we had to get our hands on a brand new web server (dual processors, 3 gigs of RAM, Serial ATA drives - It's geek speak for FAST!) for our Community Pages so you wouldn't experience any slowdown with the increased traffic flow.  Now you will see pages come up lightning quick, stats and profiles will come up even faster.  The whole thing is, to say the least, impressive.  We hope that this will make your experience on Adlandpro Community more rewarding and prevent frustration at having to wait for pages to load.

Click these two links to experience the difference in speed:

Let me know what you think of the new Web Server.  Is it faster?  Much of the same?  Wow?  I want to hear from you!

100 Free Displays of Your Ad

Did you know that if you sign up someone to be an Adlandpro Community member, you will get 100 free displays of your ad on our Traffic Exchange?  It's a great opportunity to bring your friends who don't know about Adlandpro into a thriving and active online business community and you get some free credits in the process.  If you haven't already been, you should click here to start earning some display credits

You can also add this signature to your emails to promote the Adlandpro Community and be rewarded by receiving 100 ad displays for each sign-up.

New Community Features Added

You may have noticed that several new features have been added in different areas of the Community.

  • Editors Pick - Forums that have lots of activity (replies, posts etc) on the main page of the forums section.  [ Go To Forums ] and scroll down to the lower part of the page.

  • Notify/Contact All Friends - Send a note to everyone in your friends list.  [ Click This Link ] and then click on the "Contact All" button to do this.

  • Notify Everyone of New Thread - When creating a discussion, you can notify everyone you choose (of your friends) that a new thread has been created.  In order to do this, you have to own your own discussion board.  To do this, [ Click Here ] and then click "Create New Forum" button.  Once your forum is created, whenever you post to your own forum, the option will be available for you to contact everyone on your forum list.

  • Create a Signature - When you post to forums or discussions, if you create a signature people will see this signature at the bottom of all your posts.  To do this, you can [ Click Here ] to access your Personal section of your Community Profile and add a signature.

  • Privacy - You now have the option to hide your age and gender from other members because we realize that some people aren't comfortable sharing too much information with others.  If you wish to hide your information, you can do so by [ Clicking Here ] and choosing "Do not show my gender/age".

  • Archived News - If you missed any of our previous Community Newsletter issues, you can now read/view them on the Community Newsletter Archive page at: http://www.adlandpro.com/Opt-In-List/Archives/Community/archives.asp

  • Reports - A new subheading is now available in your Community section marked Reports which will display users of the Community in broad categories.  Two of which are available now are Newly Created Users and Most Friendly Users explained in more detail below.  Take a minute to check it out.

  • Newly Created Users Feature - Now you have the opportunity to view and contact users who recently joined the Adlandpro Community by using the "Newly Created Users" feature.  This system will allow you to:
    • Contact brand new users to the system
    • Add new friends who you can work with or socialize with.
    • Contact these users to welcome them and provide assistance and expertise.
    • Newly Created Users will appear in order of joining so the most recently created accounts will appear first.

You can view our Newly Created Users here.

  • Most Friendly Users - You can now see a listing of our community's most friendly users.  These are rated according to the number of friends someone has.  You can see this list here

2.0  Feature Article

Friends Invitations

The Adlandpro community is based on creating networks of contacts who can help you learn, you can promote to, and socialize with. The Friends feature was added to make this so much easier to do in a Community that has thousands of registered members. In order to get friends, become someone's friend, or invite someone to be a part of our Community, you must use the invitation system. Adlandpro has 2 types of invitations: A Community Invitation and an Email Invitation.

Community Invitation

Sending an invitation to become friends on the Community means that, if this person approves your invitation, you will be on this person's friends list and they will be on yours. This also means that you can locate this person easier and send a message to this person on the community by going to your friends list and clicking the icon below their profile.

Here are the different places you can see profiles to add as friends:

  • Clicking profile links in the "Who Is Online" section on the left sidebar of any Community Page

  • Clicking profile links in forum posts
  • Clicking profile links in Adlandpro Newsletters and Publications
  • Searching for profiles using the People Find link on the Community (Instructions Below)
  • Virtually anywhere you see a profile link, you will find the link to Become Friends.

[ Click Here For Instructions on How To Send an Invite Using People Find ]

Email Invitation

Sending a Email Invitation allows you to invite people to become part of the Adlandpro Community and become your friends who are not already registered as members. These can be friends, co-workers, colleagues, associates...just about anybody who has an email address!

Send invitation by e-mail now.

*Don't forget, if you invite someone to the community who is not already a registered member, you will get 100 free Ad Displays for your ads!*
