"Name The Newsletter" Contest Winner!!

I would personally like to thank all the members of the community for submitting a name for our new Newsletter. As you can see, the name that won is "Adland's Community Bulletin." I would now like to announce the name of the winner of the contest:

CONGRATULATIONS JOHN on being the winner of our contest!! There were many names submitted and I appreciate everyone's support and participation in this contest. It was so exciting to see all the different names that people came up with for the Newsletter! Now with all the votes counted we are a newsletter with an official name.

We are now officially "Adland's Community Bulletin"

What is AldandPro?

It is a gathering place for global minds to exchange ideas. It has no confining boundaries and welcomes new members with open arms.

It is a friendly place to come to and just "hang out", share a joke or two, invent silly scenarios and forget the long, daily, grind.

It is a serious place where opinions are shared and lasting friendships can be made.

It is a community of caring people where you will always find a shoulder to cry on, (when in need).

It is a place of support where people are always willing to jump at the opportunity to provide help to others

It is a place where members awesomely inspire and motivate each other.

It is a meeting room where "friends" does not just equal the number you have in your network.

It is a virtual "opt-in" family where joy, grief, celebrations and unity bring new meanings to the words "Internet Experience".

It is an "Internet Society Pillar" going from strength to strength and much, much more than just a "Business Advertising Machine".

INTRODUCING OUR TREASURE HUNT GAME!!

It's time to have some fun everyone! In each issue of the Newsletter we will be having a new Treasure Hunt game for you to play! Each issue of this newsletter with will be featuring different forums from the community.In this issue we are featuring John Sanchez's "Feature Of The Week" forum. These forum is awesome because it helps to recognize some wonderful people of our fine community, as well as give them some added exposure which they definitely deserve. We have had the pleasure of interviewing John about his forums and have gotten his thoughts about the AdlandPro community

"The Person Of The Week" forum aka The POTW started by MR JOHN SANCHEZ

The POTW forum, for anyone that is not familiar with it, is the #1 forum at AdlandPro started to honor and give recognition to those members that are very active or highly visible within the community, are always seen as respectful, professional and helpful. In order for someone to become POTW it is necessary to be nominated by a member of AdlandPro, and then voted in by the members of the community. This forum is a great one for a few different reasons which you will read about here in an Interview we did with The Goodwill Ambassador himself, MR. JOHN SANCHEZ;

When did you first join Adlandpro and why?

I joined AdlandPro in March 13, 2005. I was doing an engine search on free advertising and it led me to this community. I was greeted warmly by some of the members so I felt welcomed right away. The interesting forums and kind folks kept me coming back for more; it quickly became a home away from home.

Can you tell us how you got the title "Goodwill Ambasador"?

Good question, I was recently accused of being egotistical for having the title of Goodwill Ambassador on my profile but I think that person must not be aware that the title was bestowed on me by Bogdan Fiedur the CEO of AdlandPro. I believe he bestowed the title on me because of all my projects were I uplift people by featuring them on my blogs or forums. I believe there's nothing more rewarding in this world than what you do in kindness for your friends and family. One is blessed in the act of blessing. A kind gesture or a kind word can really make a person's day when nothing else has been going well for them until you chose to be cordial with them. I've always wondered how many people wouldn't have commit suicide if somebody had just said something nice to them on that day that they were so despondent they took their life. So no one should under estimate the power of a kind gesture or word.

We are interested in your forum called "Person of the week". What gave you the idea to start the forum, and how did you come up with the name?

One day I was doing some brainstorming on topics for interesting forums when I came up with couple of ideas. Like I said earlier, I like cheering people up so I thought a weekly forum featuring people who promote a pleasant atmosphere at Adland would be interesting. I called it the "Feature of the Week". I believed Bogdan was the one who came up with the "Person of the Week" title for the front page of Adland's community page. The forum was really popular with the members of the community so when I asked Bogdan if he would contribute something as a prize for the person being featured he said yes, and generously offered a prize greater than the one I asked for. Bogdan is a very generous human being as anyone can see by the current contest he's got going for people who promote AdlandPro, he blew me away with that one when I came to him with the idea for the contest. I was thinking he would offer some free advertising for the winner and he comes up with the $500 prize. Wow!

How do you feel your forums add to the Adland community?

The Person of the Week (POTW) forum and other projects like the Birthdays of the Week, the Welcome Wagon, and the Happy Place promote a good atmosphere in the community. These projects unite the community and make folks experience at Adland a pleasant one. They help to promote folks self esteem while at the same providing them with their 15 minutes of fame or in this case their week of fame. It's an awesome experience to see your picture posted on the front page of a community site where the total membership is over 30,000 members. The winners of POTW get some great exposure for their business by being on the front page and they meet some awesome new friends through the experience. I get excited each week when I see the new winner posted.

What do you think about Adlandpro and the community that we have here?

I have visited many communities on the Net and in fact I belong to about 8 but I spend almost all of my time at AdlandPro. Why? Well, I would have to say because of the friendly members we have here. This is truly the friendliest community on the World Wide Web. I wouldn't say it's perfect but the majority of members here are awesome folks. I also think AdlandPro is quickly becoming the most interesting community with all the new features Bogdan and his team have been coming up with. He and his team our always looking for new ideas to improve the community and they will listen to any suggestions folks may have. I've had the pleasure of seeing some of my ideas implemented.

Is there anything else you would like to add John?

I would first like to say thank you to Bogdan Fiedur and Michael Dela Cruz for the kindness they have shown me in my time here. The past twelve months have been an incredible experience for me and they have made it all possible with all they have done for me. They have my deepest gratitude and respect. I would also like to say that I hope everyone reading this article will help us the Power Members, the Advisors, and the AdlandPro staff make AdlandPro the best and the biggest community on the Web. Introducing one of our new members to Adlandpro

In each Newsletter we will be picking one of our New Members and introducing them to you, our community, so that they can get more familiar with other members of the community, and vice versa. This person will be someone that has already started to be quite active in the community by posting in forums, and making new friends.

This month's New Member chosen is DR. VENERINA CONTI

Venerina joined Adland on April 19, 2006 and since joining has already made 183 friends in the community, and is active in 13 forums. Dr. Conti is a very interesting person, and she has travelled the world over, visiting 39 different countries. Venerina is into holistic healing and has learned so much from so many great people during her travels throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The stories alone that Venerina can tell are just one reason to get to know her.

Venerina is a very lovely person; warm, kind, considerate, outgoing, always willing to help people, and extremely intelligent as you will see from all her credentials. We spoke with Dr. Conti and asked her to tell us a little more about herself, and here is what she had to say;

This is a great honour for me. I haven't been in Adland very long but the human warmth and friendship I have found in this community are unsurpassable. I joined Adland in 2002 but made one BIG mistake, forgot my password!!! Hehehehehe, gave up and didn't come back until 2006!!! I did have a lot of other stuff going on though, as you will read later. The reason I joined AdlandPro was similar to everyone, I suspect, I wanted to try and promote my business, but the truth is, that since I have been here, I've done just about everything except that!!! I have made so many new friends that business has taken second place to getting to know people, wonderful people from all walks of life who all have something interesting to say and share.

As a psychologist and an amateur theologist/spiritualist, I have always been interested in the powers of the mind and faith, and having travelled throughout the middle east and Asia, I was introduced to the ancient ways of natural therapeutic remedies and healing via an inner to outer process, the mind, body and soul as one. But it was a near fatal accident and subsequent recovery that got me into the therapies in a serious way.

In 2002, I fell 200 metres off a mountain whilst out trekking and was left practically for dead for 24 hours before anyone managed to rescue me. To this day nobody knows how I am still alive. It was nothing short of a miracle. I had to fight nature, the weather, the odds and my own bruised, battered, torn and broken up body just to survive. 18 months later, still partially incapacitated from use of all limbs and after constantly taking antibiotics, painkillers and other chemicals just to get through my day, my body and its immune system shut down and I was suffering more serious physical problems because of it, including cancer that was successfully removed twice. I piled on an extra 45kgs and was suffering a serious case of manic depression. It was then, at my very worst, that I decided to take action and start a long, lonely, journey to recovery, "lonely" because I live on an island far away from friends and family.

To fix my body, (and get a few more post graduate diplomas!!!), I started by studying anatomy and physiology, diet and nutrition, rehabilitative exercise, Ayurveda, Reiki, relaxation, yoga, aromatherapy and so forth and, basically, became my own patient… and to fix my mind and soul, I ploughed myself into a series of ancient and modern day philosopher's courses alongside all kinds of religious and spiritual guidance material from ancient and modern civilisations, including angel therapies, Tibetan Style Meditation and philosophies and mental visualisation as a means to realisation. I am, now, going on to study Homeopathy, Natural medicine and Kinesiology among others. I had to learn to ignore societal prejudice, change my own convictions and create my own new set of perceptions of reality.

It has been a long, hard struggle of "mind over matter" and "choosing to live" and only this year, 4 years later, did I get an all clear from my bone specialist. I still have to fight every day, both mentally and physically, but with focus and serious determination, I have dropped 30kgs, I am almost fully active, haven't managed any serious trekking of late but slowly and surely I will get back there again too, knees permitting!!!.

One day, I am determined to write a book on mind over matter, combining Psychology, Spirituality and Holistic Health Care. My website is still a work in progress but I hope that, eventually, through it, I may give back to the "higher powers that be" a little of the miracle given to me, by helping others.

Holistic Health is a way of life, handed down to us by ancient civilisations and forgotten over time but, now, once again it is becoming ever more popular. It is not a short term fad or quick fix remedy. It is something that has to be practiced as part of our daily lifestyle.
