A Famous Quote

"A man will die, a writer, the instrument of creation: but what he has created will never die! And to be able to to live for ever you don't need to have extraordinary gifts or be able to do miracles. Who was Sancho Panza? Who was Prospero? But they will live for ever because - living seeds - they had the luck to find a fruitful soil, an imagination which knew how to grow them and feed them, so that they will live for ever."

(from Six Characters in Search of an Author, 1921) - Luigi Pirandello

Featured Forums

Each issue of this newsletter with will be featuring  different forums from the community. In this issue we are featuring Lisa (Lee Lu) Westberry's "Who's in the spotlight" forum. These forum is awesome because it helps to recognize some wonderful people of our fine community, as well as give them some added exposure which they definitely deserve.

"Who's In The Spotlight" forum started by LISA (LEE LU) WESTBERRY.

The Spotlight forum, for anyone that is not familiar with it, honors those members in our community that are very active and highly visible, professional, positive and always willing to help others. We had the pleasure of Interviewing Lisa and here is what she had to say to us;

When did you first join Adlandpro and why?

I've been a member since 9/17/2004, I came to Adlandpro for internet marketing and to find out more about the community and the internet world.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My husband George and I moved to North Carolina in 1994. We met in Missouri. George has family here and mine was soon to follow in 1995 and 2000. We have two wonderful children, Chris 10 yrs and Elizabeth 3 yrs. My husband and I started out in Greenboro, then High Point, now we live in King. Goal, to move into the mountains. We were both born in Florida, but our love is for the mountains. We have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 goats.

We are interested in your forum called "The Spotlight". What gave you the idea to start the forum, and how did you come up with the name?

There are a couple of forums like this, but I thought the community could use another forum; one with a little different character and more personal approach. My wonderful partner Cheryl Baxter was the one who came up with the name. This forum has allot of time, effort, and caring put into it. We also have a Blog that Ana Maria does http://www.wsof.blogspot.com

How do you feel your forums add to the Adland community?

Our team put together another great forum to recognize and honor the well deserving, friendly people in our community. We are all so fortunate to be a part of this community, and it is a blessing to find people that want to give back some of the love that they receive from there friends. Thank you so much for your support and for wanting to make this event so special. This forum has increased alot in views, posts, and support. This forum gives everyone a great feeling!

What do you think about Adlandpro and the community that we have here?

Adlandpro is an amazing community for people to make friends, do business, and help each other with support, and visions for the future. The admin is always working to make things better and offer more options. You can always count on help, advice, and direction. I am so proud to be a part of this community and to be making a difference.. I have met some amazing friends thanks to this community. I have also learned alot about the internet because of Adland. I must make a very special thanks for meeting my Great Friend Dennis Clairmont and being so patient and sincere about helping me with alot of things that I just did not know about internet or computers. Much Thanks to my Buddy.

Is there anything else you would like to add Lisa?

I have been with Adlandpro for over a year now and have many different activities for the members going on. I love to help others and love meeting new people. This all would not be possible if I did not have an incredible team. The Spotlight Gazette Team. I have to express my appreciation, respect, and a heart felt thank you to all of them. They are all the Best!!!

Jokes

Life Before The Computer

There was life before the computer

An application was for employment

A program was a TV show

A cursor used profanity

A keyboard was a piano!

Memory was something that you lost with age

A CD was a bank account!

And if you had a broken disk,

It would hurt when you found out!

Compress was something you did to garbage

Not something you did to a file

And if you unzipped anything in public

You'd be in jail for awhile!

Log on was adding wood to a fire

Hard drive was a long trip on the road

A mouse pad was where a mouse lived

And a backup happened to your commode!

Cut--you did with a pocket knife

Paste you did with glue

A web was a spider's home

And a virus was the flu!

I guess I'll stick to my pad and paper

And the memory in my head

I hear nobody's been killed in a computer crash

But when it happens they wish they were dead!

Community Interest

INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR MOST INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY

Each Newsletter we will be picking one of our Interesting Members and sharing more about them to you, our community. This will give new members the opportunity to meet some of our older members and vice versa, plus give our member some added exposure. Without future ado here is this month's Interesting Person:

MR GEORGIOS PARASKEVOPOULOS

Written by: John Sanchez

Hi Folks!

This is John Sanchez bringing you an interview with one of our more recognizable members.

Georgios

is a very charismatic individual who recently won the Person of the Week award. He has several forums that are really popular with the community so we at the Newsletter thought it would be nice to do an interview with this interesting Gentleman. To check out Georgios' Forums go to: Georgio's Forums

Now for the interview:

When did you first join Adlandpro and why?

First time I saw AdLandPro was in Product. Only a program I joined in July 2005. There were at least 4-5 members good friends of mine promoting AdLandPro. I am not sure who my referrer is, anyhow I am thankful to them all. I joined in July 2005 with the username Zeuxis, a name taken from Greek Mythology, but by mistake I deleted my first account. Same day I re-joined but I could not have same user name.

My new username again a Greek word Genesis is taken from the Bible. At that time I was a high surfer and I wanted to promote the programs I joined. Best way to promote is direct contact or through communication and contact in a forum. I tried to understand the philosophy behind AdLandPro which I found difficult. Still today there are things I have to learn.

The first months I was a passive member. In four mouths I had about 90 friends and I joined some forums were I sent about 40-50 replies. In December there were a special discuss about WOSAT. I began to activate and more and more go in the forums to send my opinion.

Can you tell us why you think you were chosen to be on the PowerMember Team?

I am not sure why I am chosen to the Power Member Team. I guess it is because I have successful forums where people like to be and send their posts. Forums were my purpose is to give information help, advices and hits and tips and knowledge. I seldom promote business programs and opportunities. I have never sent an invitation with ads or opportunities. I believe, I must first be accepted as a friend and after that I can recommend opportunities to my friends or to accept their proposals.

Which one of your projects or forums is your favorite and why?

Celebrations - Birthdays - Name's Origin is my best forum where I am working on two projects: a) Names origin and definition, b) Greek Mythology. Both projects are connected to each other. I love to play with words, their meanings, synonyms, origin, definition, legends, forgotten or hidden history behind the myths and the names. I started a new forum titled The Mysteries - Unknown Truth, a forum where very sensitive subjects will be discussed. I hope the members there will be objective and not subjective.

How do you feel your forums add to the atmosphere we have here in the Adland community?

I am sure the members like the themes and the subjects I chose to post. We live in the era of globalization. Sensitive subjects are difficult to discuss. Globalization means a change of traditional beliefs, culture, values and manners and habits. People aren't ready to meet new things. School is not preparing us to meet cultural changes and we act very conservatively. What is not given voluntarily, we try to take it with our power. We still live in a world of wars, a world of non equal rights, and the resources earth gives us are going to private pocket. Even though we live in 3rd millennium we behave like barbarians. We haven't learned to accept our neighbours with respect. This behaviour reflects also in AdLandPro. Generally my forums are regarded as successful.

What do you think about Adlandpro and the community that we have here?

In AdLandPRo there are three categories of members: a) they who joined just for promoting their business and make their downline grow, because AdLandPro is a big community and it is easy to find unsuccessful business men who want to try something new and they don't care the future of this community, b) they who joined for finding new friends, learn how to use internet in a better way and try to build up a business by getting advices from other members, and c) they who work with the community for the community for helping all friends to succeed and make sense of life. The majority belongs to 1st group. In this group you find a 5 % who know what they are doing and 95 % who are the victims. At this moment few are they who are really associated with AdLandPro activities working as a community. Most of the members just follow the stream and happen what it happen will.

Is there anything else you would like to add gerogios?

Yes, a small input. Truth is a difficult word. We are living in a big lie because truth is created by God and truth is one, the creation of universe. We easily deny truth in the fame of individual success and prosper. The biggest lie is to be wealthy. Money is the tool to separate man from truth, and this is the direction our global leaders have chosen to follow, with other word they try to defeat God. It will not be easy. It is impossible. There fore we have to work united to a better universe to meet the truth. With God I mean the Power that created universe and the name of this power can vary form culture to culture.

Yours sincerely,

Georgios

*************************************************************

Well Folks,

I hope you enjoyed the interview. Please take the time to invite Georgios to be your friend if he's not on your friends list.

Love and Blessings to you all from,
John Sanchez

Adland's Community Bulletin Now In Blog/RSS Format.

By: Kenneth R Sword Jr

We have GREAT NEWS for YOU! The Adland's Community Bulletin was the first great idea, featuring members of the community and highlighting special events and celebrations. And, a being a newsletter it goes out to all of our members via email.

That's great but we thought about taking it a step further to make sure you can get it.

The first idea was to possibly encode the letter with xml so it can be read in an aggregator or RSS reader.

Then I got to thinking. That's great to give the members access to the newsletter via rss. But what else can we do to add more benefit to all members. Ah ha! Well, if we blog it we can have it registered in all of the blog directories, making it available for quick spidering to all search engines. This means anyone with a link in the newsletter is getting reciprocal linking to your profile and other forums featured. This helps with your popularity in search engines.

So adding the newsletter to a blog account made it RSS capable without having to add code to the actual newsletter. The blog service takes care of that. And with the click of the mouse we can ping* the directories when new content has been added. Plus, all entries are archived as well. being available to find and read and using the built in search can help you find anything posted by any keyword you wish.

Why did we choose the blog service Bizzy Blogz? The flexability of using html in the posting area made it the most logical choice. And not having to modify the layout of the newsletter to accommodate the blog as other services may require was another blessing.

It's quite simple to get the newsletter in RSS format. Firefox users can see it right in their browser with the right plug-in. Most ISP's now give their clients a "My Page" that is customizable. In the blog version of the newsletter there are buttons for each type of aggregator, reader and My Pages Just click the appropriate button and the feed is automatically added to your service or you can copy and paste the XML link in to your reader.

Lastly, I want to mention our Blog Manager, Nan Herring. She was chosen for the job from a recommendation. Her blogs speak for themselves. Her work is outstanding and she shows a great knowledge of using blogs. Now this doesn't mean she has all the answers for all types of blogging services but she is tops with the service she uses. Take a look at some of her Poetry Blog to see what I mean.

If you have any questions feel free to send them in and we'll answer them for you any may post them in the newsletter to help others as well.

Happy Blogging.

* In this case ping is a signal to blog directories that basically says "I have added content and I'm ready for you to spider my blog". This is different from the original ping tool's funcionality.

Introducing one of our new members to Adlandpro

In each Newsletter we will be picking one of our New Members and introducing them to you, our community, so that they can get more familiar with other members of the community, and vice versa. This person will be someone that has already started to be quite active in the community by posting in forums, and making new friends.

This month's New Member chosen is Jenny S.J.

It has been my great pleasure to meet Jenny, and to have her become one of my new friends here. Jenny is a very warm, loving, caring and nice lady with so much intelligence, and she shares that with us in the forums.
She has been a member since February 26, 2006, and in her short 5 months of being a member of the community, she has made 280+ friends, and is active in 70 forums.

Jenny is from Almunecar, Granada, Spain and she has a love for angels. She has taken her love for angels and has made a business for herself using them in her craftwork. Jenny's business is called Alas y Cia Granada and it is an Angel Craft Workshop where she produces hand painted figurines of angels, cherubs and nativity sets that she sells worldwide. I am sure Jenny is very busy before the holiday season!!

When Jenny is not busy with doing things for her business, she is busy raising her teenage family, which is a job in itself I am sure! Jenny loves to read, listen to music and enjoys collecting other peoples' craft and art. Jenny is now learning about the computer and the internet.

If you are not a friend to Jenny already, and would like to invite her to be your friend, please go to her link and invite her to become your friend today. Here is her link for your convenience; http://community.adlandpro.com/go/265830

It is great to have Jenny as part of our Community! Welcome to the family!

********** People can only hurt you for as long as you let them ********** Written by: Dr. Venerina Conti

The very basics of human nature is made up of complexities, fears, doubts and so forth and so on ... The very society in which we live has become more and more difficult and unstable, full of uncertainty and fear.

People put other people down and hurt them for a variety of reasons:

1) Their own, personal, insecurities, so putting someone else down makes them feel good about themselves;

2) Their own unrealised dreams, that they had little, or no courage to face for fear of failure, or that they even failed at ... not really fully committed at trying;

3) In a parent's case, it could be a defence mechanism for the offspring, in so much that a stable pay check at the end of the month provides a home and a family with whatever is necessary, whereas an uncalculated risk could mean disaster. Parents never want to see their children suffer for whatever reasons.

4) Self image preservation, in confrontation with another person, i.e. they maintain superior standing instead of appearing less capable or smart or whatever.

5) They don't know anything different. It's the way they were raised. People often fear change because they don't know what's on the horizon.

And the list could go on ...

The important thing is to learn to listen to the inner voice ... let go of the past and the hurt in order to move forward and taking a chance on the self, in the belief that a person can be anything they choose to be.

Take a moment to sit down quietly and analyse all the people around you, who put you down and try to stop you from doing anything you really want to do... , you can even start with your family and friends.

Think about their life and their parents life ... their missed opportunities, their hopes and dreams and anything else you can come up with ... try and put it all into perspective. Look upon them as simple human beings, with all their troubles, worries and fears. Once you have done this you will be able to look at them in a new light ...

Visualising each of them in turn, in your mind, say to yourself repeatedly...

"... I forgive you because it's the way you are, it's the way you were brought up, it's how you deal with you in this world and I will always accept and love you for who you are ... but you are not me ... I am me ... I want to be ... I believe I can be ... and therefore I will be .... "

Once a person can say this to them self, a whole new perspective begins to come to light and it's amazing what can be achieved ... the human imagination is the only limiting factor!!!
