Famous Quotes

(Venerina Conti)

It's not wise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little.

When you pay too much, you lose a little money, but that's all.

When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.

The common law of business prohibits you from paying a little and receiving a lot - it can't be done.

If you deal with the lowest bidder it would be as well to add something for the risk you run and if you can do that then you can afford to pay for something better.

(John Ruskin, 1819-1900)

Getting To Know Our Power Members

You may have seen those red letters "Power Member" beneath their pictures in a forum, but just who are these people? To answer that question, we are going to feature one such member each issue. New Power Members are being named with great regularity and today's featured member is one of the newest,

[Sheri Webber's photo]

Melissa Fulwider

.
Melissa has gained quite a following with her "AdlandPro Interviews" forum in which she interviews one of our own AdlandPro Associates every two weeks as well as for her visits to many forums.

You can visit her AdlandPro profile and invite her to be a friend here:
Melissa Fulwider.

You might also want to pay a visit to her attractive and very professional website, The Write Times as well to see the variety of writing and copywriting services she offers. www.thewritetimes.com, but first, here are some words from Melissa herself.

Q. What first brought you to AdlandPro, Melissa?

A. I first joined AdlandPro a few years ago, but didn't really network. Last year I was getting myself together to start my freelance career so I thought I would hunt around the community again. I have been through the affiliate rounds before, so I just wanted a place to hang out, gather ideas, get to know a bit more about the globe as it were. There are so many interesting people here and so much to be learned, not only about business, but about cultures and habits. I also like the fact that most people here are professionals. They have a business to run and so do I. There is a lot of respect here.

Q. Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

A. Married with toddlers, man, married with toddlers - that about covers it. I have two articles coming out in September 2006 that I am very excited about. The first is going to be online at the Mom Writers Literary Magazine and the other is for a brand new magazine called Underwired. I can't wait. Links to both of these publications can be found at www.thewritetimes.com

And of course the Interviews are there also…

Q Could you share some thoughts about AdlandPro and the community we have here?

A. I am here kind of for an alternative reason. I enjoy the interaction and have made some very valuable and dear friends. I am not selling anything or looking for a downline; although a few more readers on the Interviews would be nice. But the thing that makes this place work is everyone here IS here for a reason. Be it more sales, to help other people, to make money, whatever - you don't come to AdlandPro without a purpose. And I really like people with purpose…

Q. What do you feel you add to the community with your presence here?

A. Well, the Interviews, of course are my baby right now. I enjoy the process and I feel like it gives people a moment to explain to the community what their purpose for being at AdlandPro is. I enjoy the neutrality also. I want people to say what they think and how they feel, and I am not the judge and jury impeding my belief structure over on them (keep it reasonable, future interviewees - you know who you are). I like to go through and find those not-so-known faces and turn the spotlight on them for a moment. I like the fact that I can talk with people all over the planet and find similarities - which are harder to find sometimes than differences.

Q. .Is there anything else you would like to add?

A. Yeah, ya'll have a great AdlandPro Day!

Making up for lost time

An airline pilot was scheduled to take a flight from New York to Los Angeles. The weather was too bad in New York to allow his usual on time departure. The weather in New York finally cleared and the pilot asked for his departure clearance. He was very dismayed to hear that he had another delay due to the increased traffic now leaving New York.

Sometime later he finally received his clearance and decided he would try to make up the time lost by asking for a direct route to Los Angeles. Halfway across the country he was told to turn due South. Knowing that this turn would now throw him further behind schedule he inquired, quite agitated, to the controller for the reason of the turn off course. The controller replied that the turn was for noise abatement.

The pilot was infuriated and said to the controller, "Look buddy, I am already way behind schedule with all the delays you guys have given me today. I really don't see how I could be causing a noise problem for pedestrians when I am over 6 miles above the earth!"

The controller answered in a calm voice, "Apparently, Captain, you have never heard two 747's collide!"

My wife was chatting with her brother, a business executive who had retired last year. While discussing the joys of his new leisure time, he remarked that he had been compelled to give up skiing, a sport he had enjoyed for many years.

"Afraid of injuries?" my wife asked.

"Now I am," her brother responded.

"Before I could drag a cast into work and still do my job, but now I'd be messing up my golf game."

Be Inspired

(by Venerina Conti)

You are special ...

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied, "What if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.

"Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.

You are special

- Don't EVER forget it."

INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY

Hello Everyone!

This is John Sanchez again bringing you another interview with another interesting member of the community. AdlandPro as you know is an International Community made up of all kinds of people with all kinds of Characteristics. Today I'm bringing you an interview with someone who is very entertaining with his slapstick sense of humor. His name is

[Sheri Webber's photo]

Michael Caron.

Michael with his wisecracking and witticism has more than once made me shake my head. Let's see if we can figure out what makes Michael so funny and kooky.

1. When did you first join Adlandpro and why?

I joined in June of 2005 because I was looking for some free advertising for my business M&S Music Management and when I placed my ad I began to browse to see what else they had to offer for free. I'm nosey and cheap.

2. Michael, you are married to Shirley who is also a popular member in the community. Tell us a little bit of how the two of you met.

Shirley and I just celebrated our eleventh Wedding Anniversary on August 19th. If you throw rice, leave it in the box. We can use it. I met Shirley back in our home town of Taunton, Massachusetts. I drove cab and one day I was stuck in traffic. This beautiful girl walked by with a glittery blue halter top. I beeped. She looked, didn't recognize me and kept on walking. Every day after that for about two weeks, I made sure to make some excuse to be at that same spot. Around the third day she gave a timid wave. By the end of the first week she waved wildly.

About two weeks went by and she called for a cab. I had found out before hand that she walked everywhere she went, and never rode cabs. We got to know each other, she laughed at my jokes, but I also learned that she knew when I was laughing through tears. She stopped me half way through a joke one day and asked when the last time it was when I went to church. That question bothered me and I told her that God didn't care about me. This was one of the few times that she raised her voice to me saying that he did care and would help if only I would ask. I told her that I did not know how to ask and she said that it was okay because she already had.

Keeping this as brief as possible, Shirley was married to a man that beat her at least four times a week, never in the face, to keep her in line. I was married to a woman that ridiculed me, lied to me, and I later found out never broke off with her old boyfriend even after he got married. For the seventeen years that I was married to my ex-wife I had five nervous break-downs and was hospitalized. Shirley and I met in 1984. In 1987 I was ready for a massive nervous break-down. I got on a bus and headed for Indianapolis, Indiana. Shirley and I kept in touch, and in the spring of 1988, stopped in Indy on her way to The Grand Ole' Opry in Nashville. We had a wonderful two days together.

When her bus pulled out, I ran out, waved the bus down, ran on the bus, and hugged her as hard as I could. It was than that I realized that she was my whole life. In September she called and asked if she could move in with me. She was scheduled to arrive on December 22,1988. On December 21,1988 I visited every bar that I frequented, had a couple of beers and said goodbye to my friends because I had decided to stop drinking. Many of them laughed hysterically because they knew that I could not go three days without a drink. By the time her bus arrived the next morning I had consumed about six cups of coffee.

There was a Catholic Church in our neighborhood. I walked her to the church for Christmas Day. It was icy, and she had a cane. I walked her up the steps because they were icy. I went in with her so she wouldn't be alone. I stayed. During the collection the priest announced that there was a young mother with them today with her three young sons.

Their Van had broken down and they couldn't get home to Arizona. I put a dollar in the plate. Shirley put a $50.00 dollar bill in the plate. If I had not been sitting, I would have fainted. After church, the priest came over to us with the woman who was in tears. He blessed us. I pointed to Shirley and told him that I didn't know what a fifty dollar bill was. Shirley asked the woman if she was going to be able to get her van fixed. The woman said "With an Angel on my side, how can I go wrong?" another parishioner that happened to be a mechanic heard her, stepped forward and replied, "Make that two Angels."

Shirley than asked if her children had gotten any presents from Santa yet, the woman blushed and admitted that she was trying so hard to get home that she didn't think about it. Shirley put her hand in the woman's hand and said "God will Help." When the woman looked down there was another $50.00 bill in her hand. As this was our first time in this church, the parishioners lingered longer than usual. They began to shake the woman's hand, each with a dollar, five dollars or ten. The priest was beaming with pride. He asked his regular parishioners why they hadn't been that generous the first time.

Shirley shook her head, bowed her head and said, "We are all God's children whether we are White, Black, or whatever, and I have a new sister." The black women hugged her, and her three children did also. She asked Shirley if she could have our address so she could pay back what she owed. Shirley smiled, pointed to the alter and Jesus on the cross and said, "Let him guide you wherever you go, keep him in your heart always, and treat everyone you meet with kindness, and I have been paid back." The priest cried, (I did also), and we all went out for Christmas Lunch. I have not had a drink since December 21,1988, I have not been in a hospital for a nervous breakdown since Shirley came into my life, and I have learned to respect myself. Shirley truly is My Angel on Earth. Aren't you glad I kept that short?

3. Now Michael, tell us why you're so mischievous, you're one of the community's funniest members. Where does that come from?

I don't know, because I had a pretty bad start in life. I remember it clearly. When I was born, the doctor looked at me and slapped my mother. I tried my best to help her, but I was all tied up at the time. Then I saw those scissors coming. As soon as he cut the cord I yelled, "Run, mamma, Run. You're free now!!!" Well, that's what I tried to yell, but all that would come out was "Wahhhh, Wahhhh, Wahhhh!!!" It's difficult without teeth. Your tongue is wobbling all over your mouth trying to find something to latch onto.

My earlier years were not that great. When I was seven and my second set of teeth were all lined up in a row, one of my brothers knocked them out with his four wood. It was an accident. I believe he was headed for my head.

For the longest time after that, whenever I was near a golf course and heard someone yell "Fore!!", I would cover my mouth. Whenever I can, when there is a nice looking girl near by wearing real tight jeans or skirt, I wait until she bends over to pick something up, and I rip a piece of paper. Immediately thereafter I point at her and say "WoW!!!" Do you realize how many people actually think they can see a rip in her skirt? Power of suggestion is fantastic!

Why do I make light of things so often? I did go through school being ridiculed for my bad teeth, my teachers always asked me why I couldn't be more like Billy or Carl, or Eddy or Jack. One day I asked the teacher why she couldn't treat me more like Michael James Caron rather than Billy or Carl or Eddy or Jack. Basically, back in the late forties or early fifties you had to be a carbon copy of everyone else, so, one day in the eighth grade, when the teacher asked me why I couldn't be more like my brothers, I slammed my book down, stood up and said, "Because I am an individual, not a family. If you do not like who I am, than fail me, but I refuse to be someone that I'm not!!"

The following year in the eighth grade..........Basically, with all the faults and failures, bad judgments or whatever, I like who I am, because if I can make one person smile for one minute and help him or her forget their troubles, just for a little while, I feel that I have accomplished something. For someone who will remain nameless let me ad "And those are the Facts!!!"

I don't like ridicule, nor do I like joking about a persons heritage, looks, or beliefs because that falls into a much more sinister category that I don't care to dwell in. I love everybody, I do, have, and always will reach my arms out to all. I do not hesitate to hug a person because they are Jewish, Black, Oriental, Spanish or any other culture. I do hesitate to kiss that person if he is Male. Yukky, Pooh!!!! Laughter is the best music that you will ever hear.

4. What do you think about AdlandPro and the community that we have here?

We've been doing good for quite awhile. AdlandPro Community has been, is, and always will be the best online community. HOWEVER, we all have to work at it. If there is a complaint, stop whining, address it and decide how to solve it. I have written two forums in two weeks. One response to one, and I believe three responses to the other. That's fine. I did the forums because I had something to say. I don't go into many forums, not because I don't want to, but mainly because Shirley and I share the same computer and that cuts down the amount of time that either of us can be on.

However, some of the forums that I have been to lately have had a negative tone to them. If you wonder why our newer members haven't been to many of our forums or haven't posted there own is because the tone in many of the forums have been lashing out at others. This is like trying to get a Pit Bull to come to you by cracking a whip.

A very wonderful member of AdlandPro, Jadranka, has attempted to put out a couple of very informative forums, but, nobody came. Now, most of you know Jadranka. She is a Sweetheart that has been into a lot of our forums and giving us positive support. What excuse is there for not returning the favor? She has proven herself more than worthy for the support that she has given all of us. We need to get rid of the negative attitude, support one another more, encourage new posts by new members and when we see one we can at least go in and say Hi.

5. Is there anything else you would like to add Michael?

Remember, John asked. There is only one thing that I would like to add (There would be more, but I've got to poop!!) We have a friend in our community that is about to loose her house. I would like to invite everyone to visit my site and read her story on my home page. There is a picture of her and her beautiful family but there is nothing in the background. That in itself is not disturbing. What is disturbing is that the picture was taken on Christmas Day. I would like to do as much as I can for this wonderful family. Prayers help, of course, but when you are loosing your house to care full time for a child that you love, this is not justice.

God Bless You All!!!

Hmmmm! There's more to Michael than the Comedian side we're used to seeing.

Thank you Michael for sharing with us the other side of you and thank you for making AdlandPro an interesting place to visit.

Can you handle the TRUTH?

Truth is: To succeed on the internet You MUST have the proper mindset. This is why 95% of the people fail that try an internet business. They want a 'fast click' way to riches.

I asked in the subject line "Can You Handle The TRUTH ????"  Let's see if you can. Four simple things to succeed. First off I want you to understand certain things about starting ANY online marketing business:

1. It will require your TIME.

While there are ways to leverage the resources of others, you must be able to put time into getting your business started. There is no magic amount of time that you need to spend, but I would say you need a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week to get going.

2. It will require your MONEY.

If you just lost your job and you have no money, and your mortgage is coming due and you have bills that need to be paid, you are NOT in the position to get started with this business.

You need to invest some money into this business. Furthermore, it will take time before you make enough money each month to be able to survive.

My biggest suggestion is to have another source of income while you are starting out. I was working a part-time job in a Job Corps center and playing music on the weeknds when I started out.

Once my business was strong enough I was able to quit (even though I didn't quit) that job and devote full-time hours to my business.

3. It will require your PATIENCE.

Your Marketing business will most likely not be an overnight success (with a few rare exceptions).

You will not become a millionaire in the first week, or in the first month, and most likely not the first year. In fact, it will probably take a minimum of two to six months to get to a point where you are able to rely on your Internet business.

It will most likely take one to three years to build a very strong business that will last for decades. This all requires your PATIENCE.

Success will come if you continue to work. Success will surely NOT come if you give up after little or no effort.

4. It will require your PASSION.

If you are not passionate about starting your own Internet business, then stop right now, close this window and go back to your day job.

If you are the type of person who goes day to day without caring about much else than himself (or herself), then please kindly leave now.

This business is not for the selfish or unpassionate. You must be ready to help others. You must love the idea of working for yourself. You must be ready to put your heart into this business.

Only then will you see success. Your clients will sense your passion and trust you more. Your partners will enjoy working with you. Your business will grow naturally.
So I'll ask one more time ...

Can You Handle The TRUTH ????

Introducing one of our new members to AdlandPro

In each issue of the Newsletter we will be picking a new member of the Community and feature them here! For this issue of the Newsletter the new member we chose is

DR SANDEEP SINGH.

Thank you Sandeep for allowing us to feature you in our Community Newsletter! I am sure that many people will enjoy reading and learning more about you!

1) Sandeep, What brought you to AdlandPro and why?

I have 4 websites www.sahajdental.com; www.dentotourism.net; www.sahajdental.in and www.sahajcreation.com

Managing 4 websites is a mind boggling job. The best part is, I do my websites promotion, myself. For this, I need to spend at least 3-4 hours on net everyday, after my busy Clinic hours. I do lot of netsurfing during these hours. Almost a year back, it happened that I came across AdlandPro Community Website, just by chance, and here I am on this Community News Letter.

2) What do you think about the AdlandPro community?

Wow......!!! That was my first thought and reaction, when I came across AdlandPro Community website. Its a great and perfect place for people who are interested in Online Marketing [promoting there products] or just getting in touch with Global Community and presto....u have a list of great, like minded friends. I salute AdlandPro for this. The best part is that its Free of cost.

3) What do you think your presence here adds to the community?

I think every individual have an edge here in this Community website !!!
Regarding my presence, I feel it matters to me a lot, at least. Most probably, I'm one of those few [maybe the only one] Health Professionals who have joined this community and I'm sure I can contribute a lot, making people aware of the latest in Health Industry, especially Dentistry. Community Newsletter is a great tool for creating this awareness globally. One needs to be really active to reach out to the people around, for this, on this Community Website.

4) Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself and what you do?

Hi ! I'm Dr. Sandeep, practicing General Dentistry with my wife Dr. Tanuja, in one of the holiest city of India, Allahabad, which was earlier known as Prayag because of its unique geographical wonder i.e. union of three holy rivers of India at one point, called SANGAM. Our clinic, which is situated in the heart of the city, is a State of Art Dental Clinic with all the latest and necessary modern equipments. This helps us to provide the best of treatment to our valued patients, all over world. Our another Clinic with the same name "A Complete Dental Care : Sahaj Dental Clinic", is fully functional in : A - 105, Super Mart - I, DLF City, Phase - IV, Gurgaon - 122002, Haryana State, ( near Indra Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi ), INDIA. We graduated from V.Y.W.S. Dental College and Hospital, Amravati, Maharashtra State, India with a dream to bring a beautiful smile on every face. To fulfill this dream of ours, we worked along with India's few eminent Dental Personalities viz. Dr. D.G. Adwani, Dr. R.U. Thombre, Prof. B.P. Singh and Dr. Hari Prakash of A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi. In this endless journey of ours:

· I got First Merit in my final B.D.S.
· I did my Residency from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
· I presented a paper on "Prophylactic Removal of Third Molars".
· We prepared a Thesis on "Management of Impacted Mandibular Third Molars" and "Sterilization In The Dental Clinic", respectively.
· We did a course on Dental Implantology from A.I.I.M.S. New Delhi.
· We attended various National and International Conferences.
· I served as a State Representative, CDE Convener and Vice- President [for two consecutive years] of IDA, U.P.State Branch; Hon. Branch Secretary of IDA, Allahabad Branch and President of IDA, Allahabad Branch, which has made me more responsible and more concerned towards educating and making common people aware of Oral Care and Dental Hygiene.

5) Is there anything else that you would like to add?

Yes !! I would like to tell everybody on this Community Portal about:
DENTAL TOURISM: The Latest Buzzword In World Health Industry

Dental Tourism is a budding concept for a planned vacation along with total Dental solution and care. Health problems and treatment are very costly in most of the European and American countries compared to this part of the world. We provide excellent package to meet your treatment expenditure and at the same time guide you to spend the vacation. You can enjoy your holidays and receive services related to Dentistry such as Dental Implants at a very affordable price.

A dentist can charge $300 to $400 for a Dental Filling in USA and Europe. It costs only $20 to $40 in India. A Root Canal is $1,500 in the West but only $100 to $200 in India. Dentures can cost $1000 overseas but only $200 in India.

Dentistry is a growing industry with 13,000 practicing dentists in the US. However, at the same time it is not affordable by average citizens due to the expensive Dental Care Services. Dental treatment is generally not reimbursed by the National Health Schemes of some countries and is too expensive. The difference in charge of a Dentist from US to India is worth a thought. That is why India has recently become a major tourist hub of Dental Care Solutions. You can have your tooth fixed and make your holidays memorable at the same time or simply, enjoy the different hues of Mystic India and get the Dental treatment done without getting a hole in your pocket.

In spite of low cost, you are still getting Quality Treatment in India primarily due to low labor cost as compared to any other region in world viz. Middle East, Western European Countries and United States of America. Probably for this reason, it is possible to receive high quality Dental Treatment at Sahaj Dental Clinic, Allahabad and Gurgaon, India, up to 75% less than what you would pay at home for the same.

At Sahaj Dental Clinic, "Quality is First and Foremost". That is why, in spite of being so cost-effective, we strictly adhere to the Quality Control of our Equipments and Facilities, Materials, Procedures practiced in Dentistry and the Professional competency of our Dentists and Lab Technicians.

Because, savings are only meaningful if the patient receives Quality Treatment, equal to or better than that available in their home country. Again, we are pleased to inform you that we are the Pioneer to start Dental Tourism in India, especially when no one was exclusively promoting it. We started this project, three years back, from a small Historical City of Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad. Now we have a state of art Clinic in Gurgaon also, the most happening City of India. Our first patient was from Ireland that too treated in the city of Allahabad. When a patient came from Australia, a 20 min. Documentary on Dental Tourism in India was made by India's leading news Channel: Channel 7 and then a telephonic interview was taken from a Australian Reporter working for Sydney Morning Herald news paper.

Another big achievement we got is, top ranking in all major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN for search words like Dental Tourism, Dental Clinic India, Dental Implants India, Dental Clinic etc with a PR of 4.
