Famous Quotes
(Venerina Conti)
The trouble with so many of us is that we underestimate the power of simplicity.
We have a tendency it seems to over complicate our lives and forget what's important
and what's not.
We tend to mistake movement for achievement.
We tend to focus on
activities instead of results.
And as the pace of life continues to race along in
the outside world, we forget that we have the power to control our lives regardless
of what's going on outside.

Each issue of this newsletter will be featuring a different forum from the community.

In this issue we are featuring
Marilyn Ali’s Welcome Wagon Forum
When I was a child we moved a lot and sometimes, just sometimes very soon after moving in a
smiling stranger would come to the door bringing a casserole or cupcakes or fresh fruit to
welcome us to the neighborhood and give us pertinent information like the location of the
school and the post office. These people were representatives of a community organization
called The Welcome Wagon and it always gave me kind of a warm fuzzy feeling when they came.
Here at AdlandPro we have a forum that provides the same function. The moderator is our very
own Marilyn Ali and I was curious about how it all
came about, so I asked her. Here is her response:
Hello Judy and Newsletter Team,
Thank you very much for asking me about the "Welcome Wagon" forum! I started this forum because
John Sanchez was looking for people to help him with the "Welcome Wagon Blog." I had said I
would do that, but at the time I had no experience at all with Blogging and after looking at
the Blog decided that was not for me. So, I told John that if he still would like my help that
I would write up a forum! So, there you have it...that's how it all came about!
How do I feel this forum adds to the community? I think the "Welcome Wagon" adds a lot to the
community in a few different ways:
New members get welcomed to the community by a number of different people besides myself and
John, which gives them a very warm welcome into the community.
The new members are given the link to the latest issue of the "Welcome Wagon" and asked to go
there and introduce themselves if they so desire. This gives them the opportunity to start
making some friends right away.
Lastly, the "Welcome Wagon" is a great way for people to make new friends and/or contacts,
which we all need! It makes it much simpler for everyone to use the "Welcome Wagon" list
than to use the reports list!
For anyone interested in checking out the "Welcome Wagon" they can visit it by
clicking here.
I would also like to make mention of the “Welcome Wagon Blog” as well that
John Sanchez handles. People may
go to that and check it out by clicking here.
Thanks, Marilyn.
I know your “Welcome Wagon”
forum has made a big impact on my AdlandPro experience. I have met many extraordinary people
by just clicking on one of the links in your forum and inviting that person to be friends.
Many write notes of thanks for the warm welcome, so I just know that they got that same warm
fuzzy feeling I did when as a little girl I felt welcomed to the neighbourhood by a stranger.
Try it.
Introduce yourself and invite someone new to be friends. Who knows, you might just meet your
own next best friend.

GETTING TO KNOW OUR POWER MEMBERS
Hi Everyone!
This is John Sanchez bringing you an interview with one of AdlandPro's busiest Power Members.
For this issue I interviewed Kenneth Sword Jr. who is not only a Power Member but also an
Advisor at AdlandPro and the Lead Designer for the Newsletter. Ken is probably AdlandPro's
greatest asset because he brings a wealth of information to community which he shares freely.
Besides being very helpful, Ken is also a true Gentleman in the community whom we respect and
admire immensely. Now let's see what Ken had to say in reply to my questions:

What first brought you to AdlandPro, Ken?
I believe it was a banner ad or a signup form. Who knows? All joking aside, I
was looking for that all elusive get rich program that would solve my college
debts quickly. I had just joined one of those 5 pillar programs and it wasn't
cheap. I saw an AdlandPro banner, knowing I would need advertising, so I
clicked, signed and the rest is history.
Can you tell us a little more about yourself?
Myself. Hmmmm... I'm a 47 year old kid. A Star Trek fan. A computer geek hiding
in a drummer's body. I have lived in El Paso, TX since 2000. Richmond, VA before
that for 10 years and Frederick, Maryland before that. You can see my musical
bio here.
I am the Music Director for David L Carrasco Job Corps Center in El Paso, TX
I have been a member of AdlandPro since January 2005. Became a Power Member of
Network Marketing in September 2005, Blog Advisor a few months later. Lead
Designer of AdlandPro Community Newsletter (this letter) since July 2006. A am
the co-owner of:
www.megatraffic.us
www.bizzyblogz.com
www.bizzyblogz.biz
www.adsbythesquares.com/forum/
www.executive-hosting.biz/affiliate/affsignup.php
www.topwordads.com/
and owner and mentor of
www.yourowninternetbusinesstoday.com
Could you share some thoughts about AdlandPro and the community we have here?
The owner, Bogdan Fiedur, and team have a fantastic service and a community that
is totally helpful to anyone. It allows both marketers and non-marketers to
mingle, share ideas, stories, family and more in a place where there is
courtesy, respect and kindness that you really don't see anywhere else. Many
members here are willing to help anyone. They'll welcome you to AdlandPro, show
you around, introduce you and all.
As for the marketing tools, WHOA! You get more than you bargain for. There is a
learning curve to use ALL of the tools but that comes with being a business
owner; learning. The affiliate program allows you to earn from your recruits and
that is a nice bonus for those that promote other programs and can be a great
business to promote in itself to earn from. I also want to mention Bodgan's
other project. This is
a great underused resource right at anyone's fingertips. A Great Global
Classified Ads resource. It's free and huge!
What do you feel you add to the community with your presence here?
I feel I add thought, controversy, some education, support, and understanding to
internet business. I try to stay current with the internet and to share it with
the members. I will tell it like it is. I will not always agree and I say so,
hopefully, in the right way. And, if you copy and print my pic you either have
rodent control for your house or a new target if you throw darts.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The biggest thing I want to say is for anyone to always do the due diligence
into any business you are considering to join. Many have lost money (BIG MONEY)
because they didn't do the due diligence. Also, take the time to learn
marketing. Marketing is not just placing ads and trying to sell. There is so
much more to it. Know your product/program. Be able to answer people's questions
of what you have. Otherwise, you will throw away sales.
And don't push your biz at just anyone. Offer it and if they buy, great. If not,
move on. Don't use sneaky tactics to pin a prospect. Most products are 'niches'.
Look for those that are looking for what you have. Learn to market right the
first time and save time and money.
Don't try to sell a mountain bike to a legless person. Let them ask for it if
they want it. Serve their needs, not your wants. Now you really have a reason to
throw darts at me. Hehehehehe.
Thanks for the opportunity to share a little of myself and what my two brain
cells wanted to say.
Kenneth R Sword
As you can see for yourself Folks, Ken is one of AdlandPro's treasures, definitely
someone you'll want to have on your friends list so please invite him if he's not already
on your friends list. Thank you Ken for making time for our interview, we love and appreciate
you my friend!
Love and blessings to all of you at AdlandPro!

In the Army
When I was a recruit in Army basic training, one requirement was
a demanding 12-mile march. We got started at 6:00 AM and were
pumped up for the trek.
An hour later, feeling the heavy load of our packs, we wondered
if the end would ever come. "Men," our sergeant yelled, "you're
doing a fine job. We've already covered four miles!"
Revitalized, we picked up the pace. "And," continued Sarge, "we
should reach the starting point any minute now."

Funeral procession
My friend, her sister and I were driving in the procession to
the cemetery for the funeral of a distant relative.
"Since we don't really know anybody, do you want to head on
home?" the driver asked.
When the sister nodded, she made a right turn.
We had gotten about a quarter of a mile down the road when the
driver happened to look in the rear-view mirror. The rest of the
procession was still following us!

The scorpion and the old man
There was this old man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water.
He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him.
The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.
A man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him.
But the man said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love.
Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion
to sting?"
Don't give up loving.
Don't give up your goodness.
Even if people around you sting.

Thank you Chris.
You've been a great friend and a true inspiration, to me, over these
last few challenging months and you never sting!!! hehehehe

INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
Each issue of the Newsletter we will write about one member of the community that we find to
be a very Interesting Person! In this issue we have chosen to feature
MR RICK MARTIN.

Hello Rick! First, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule and honoring us with an Interview. We all know what a busy man you are with your job and with all your duties at WOSAT! So, thanks again for obliging us!
1) Our readers would like to know more about you as the Executive V.P. of WOSAT.
I have been blessed to be with WOSAT from the start walking aside Dr. David King our President. Dr King had an idea and many signed up to join him on informing "The Wizards of Success Adventure Team" which become known as "WOSAT". And quite the adventure it has been. We quickly grew to a team of 168 members of mixed knowledge and experience and through the realization of our motto, "Together Every One Achieves More Helping Other People Every Day". We now have a team of 48 partners living on 5 Continents with four WOSAT Pillar Offices where our partners are serving the needs of Customers 24 hours a day.
Nine month's ago we were a rag tag group but now we have retained a smaller group of partners that have weathered the storm, learned more than they thought possible and formed friendships that bind us into our family, WOSAT. Dr. King and I have never leaded a finer bunch of people than we have at WOSAT. At this moment we are stepping up to finalize and offer Distributor and Affiliate level. http://www.dipetane.net
2) What brought you to AdlandPro and why?
I originally came to meet up with a friend that had enjoyed AdlandPro so much that I felt compelled to join. At the time I had quite a bit of extra time on my hands and started poking around the community and found the most diverse group of friendly people posting and sharing their skills and friendship. LaNell was my first real friend and others started filling my box to welcome me to AdlandPro. I met Dr. David King. Dr. King and I talked and shared life's experiences for over 3 ½ hours. Since that meeting of chance I joined WOSAT and have met and shared with new people nearly every day.
3) What do you think about AdlandPro and the community?
AdlandPro is a very dynamic spot on the web that serves all of us well. I am amazed by all the features provided to us by Bogdan and Michael. It is an ideal place for people of all walks to meet and share with others from all walks of life on a myriad of topics and skills. It is a collection of the good, the bad, and the ugly as is life in general in our world. The collection of talent and resources present here in it's members is limitless and God knows that we all are students of our universe.
I have forged many friendships here and have found that most people here are friendly and eager to be of help for the beginner as well as the professional. AdlandPro is my second home away from home only second to WOSAT. It is a place where I wear only a smile and a desire to help others as they give to me without expectations. Who could ask for more? I have been honored in the Parade Of Stars when I didn't know I was one, chosen as Person of the Week, I must of finally had seven good days in a row, and now I am featured in this Newsletter! I am stunned and greatly touched by all of this as I only strive for being the best I can be, and I thank all who have placed their confidence in me. I am proud to announce that the "Cyber Bully" has finally left the room.
4) Now that we know more about you as a business man, we'd like to hear more about you on a personal level...how do you like to spend your time when you are not working?
Not working has always been a foreign concept to me. I am a workaholic and it has just seemed to get worse as I have become the guy to get it done in all walks of my life. At present, I spend the biggest portion of my time with my fiancée who has only today accepted my proposal. I can tell you that I have never been happier than at this moment and that she is truly the most active, sensitive and loving individual I have had the pleasure to meet. I am not sure of what she sees in me but am truly blessed by her beyond my wildest dreams.
I believe that we were put here by God and we are truly working to discern his purpose for our lives together. Dr King has been an inspiration in our lives and we are moving to Oklahoma City as a part of the WOSAT Team. We both have a desire to help others and are considering joining in a professional speaker's organization to further our opportunity to help others realize excellence in their lives.
In my community I have been active on the City Council when I and a group of folks barred a smut peddler from opening a strip bar in our town, which got me in the LA Times and on the TV News. He sued and we won. I have also been quite active with the school board here as well.
Personally I have been active in the church for most of my life and have been on the worship team as well as teaching adult bible studies and Sunday School. I enjoy all types of outdoor activities, skiing, sailing, camping in my motor home, fishing, or may be a day at the beach. I am a certified SCUBA diver for years now and was active in the capture and preservation of the Killer Whales and have maintained marine aquariums for many years. I have built many computers and work IT in industrial applications as well.
5) Is there anything else you would like to add Rick?
I would like to thank my many friends at WOSAT and AdlandPro for their hard work, love and devotion to this the best community on the web. Without them my times here would ring hollow and I know for sure that your readers have similar thoughts. I would like to thank my partner Dr. David King who's constant discipline has kept me and many others on the path of striving for excellence as the perfection that many of us tried in vane to achieve left us continually trying to attain a level as judged by others, truly an impossible goal that leads only to frustration. I would also like to thank my fiancée who has found something in me that I had all but given up.
Thanks again Rick, the Newsletter Team really appreciates you sharing a little of your time and self with us! Our readers can certainly see why now Rick Martin was chosen as the Interesting Person to write about in this issue. The Team would like to wish Rick a lot of continued success and happiness in his life!
If you are not a friend of Rick's already please take the time to get to know this very
interesting and friendly man! Here is Rick's link so you may invite him to become your
friend

Designing a blog
They all pretty much look the same except for two major differences - artwork and title.
What we would like to do is match the artwork with the title. Let's say our blog is titled
"Bonehead". A header or 'masthead' of a dog running in a field would be complimentary.
A sports car would not. But whether your title is relevant to your content, your artwork
should be relevant to your title if possible. The image and title are part of your brand,
the image you want your readers to remember you by so they'll come back for more.
Both, title and image should send a single messege to the reader at first glance.
That means professional quality artwork, It doesn't have to be professionally created, but
it must be of high quality. Create it yourself if your good enough. Cropped photo work can
do a good job for this but you'll need to know how to 'layer' text on top and make it look
spectactular or leave the image untouched and create a text image to place above or below
the image.
A sample to see: Auto Blogs
Again, I cannot stress enough the importance of title and image being relevant to each other.
Happy blogging.

Introducing one of our new
members
to AdlandPro
In each Newsletter we will be picking one of our New Members and introducing them to you, our community, so that they can get more familiar with other members of the community, and vice versa. This person will be someone that has already
started to be quite active in the community by posting in forums, and making new friends.
This month's New Member chosen is:
Mrs Jennifer Raison-Green

One of my favorite things to do here at AdlandPro is meet new people so I was looking forward to speaking with Jennifer. We had already "become friends", but hadn't really chatted before, so I re-introduced myself and when I mentioned she was to be featured in our Community Newsletter, she replied:
"I'm honoured that you would want to have an article about me. There has to be a few exciting moments in my life.. just joking... I do love AdlandPro, Judy. My biggest problem is spending too much time here. The people I've met and the friends I have made and the things I have learned…,there is just no other site that compares. Thank you for the opportunity."
Well, Jennifer, I can see from your "About Me" section in your profile that you live in Adelaide, Australia with your husband, David and two adult children, Stephanie and Michael and the little mutt, Scruffie. Can you tell us a little more about how you came to AdlandPro and your experiences here?
I do not think I found AdlandPro I think AdlandPro found me. I'm so glad they did! It makes my morning to stop awhile and linger over a few forums whilst having that first shot of caffeine. I have made some wonderful friends from all the corners of the globe -.From Jill in England who seems to be my perfect match to Robert in Pakistan who is sending me Indian Recipes..It really is an amazing place.
Any thoughts about your business you'd like to share?
Business oh Yes I forgot about the business -- I'm easily side tracked.
Payitforward4proftits has really
taught me the meat and vegetables of Internet marketing. I had previously done wine
marketing and sales but the Internet is a whole new ball game. If you want to learn
how to get traffic to your site, whether you already have a business or are looking
for one, Payitforward4profits is Free to join and a must for you to have a look at.
Even if you are new to this industry, follow the Internet Success Guide and you will
soon be up there with the professionals. I also recently joined the
$7 miracle --what a fantastic team effort! Don't be left behind
Thank you Judy for this opportunity to be featured at AdlandPro and enjoy your day.
Warmest Regards, Jenny.
My pleasure, Jenny, and if any of you folks reading this would like to invite Jenny to be
friends, I'm sure she'd love to meet you.
