In each issue of AdlandPro's Community Newsletter we will be picking one forum that we find
to be interesting, and one of the better forums in the community. The Newsletter Team decided
to do this feature to help bring more exposure to the forum and it's owner, as well as to
show our readers forums that they may not even know existed.
The forum picked to be featured in this issue of our Newsletter is:
"The Art of Blogging"
started by Kenneth Sword.
When I first went to check out Kenneth's forum I was amazed at the range of threads it has.
Here are just a few that caught my attention:
How To Get People To Your Blog
Earning and Protecting Your Reputation
Designing a Page That Compliments Your Content Pt.1
He really covers the subject from many angles, but I did have a few questions for him. Here's
what he had to share.
Q. As the Co-Owner of Bizzy Blogz, I can see how you
came to start a forum on blogging, but what got you interested in blogging to begin with?
A: Blogs have been around for many years. AP Wire, REUTERS and other news media have been
using them to post news stories for publications. There was a story on CBS News in the US
about the President (Bush) and how some documents were found to discredit his background
in the military. It turned out the story was fabricated. CBS was in hot water and a reporter
had to quit because of it. How was it found out it was fabricated? Bloggers. People writing
and answering to what they knew and could prove - within MINUTES! I said to myself, "Self,
There is another marketing tool."
So I started on Blogger, also known as blogspot.com. It wasn't that much difference from
webpage design as far as the templating and easier to update your info, known as a post.
This was the cool part. Being able to change your info without having to redo your webpage.
Q. In your forum I've seen questions ranging from "What is a blog?" to technical
questions on transferring content from one blog to another and how search engines view blogs.
Just how difficult is it to set up a blog and which thread on your forum would you advise
people to check out if they are just getting started?
A: Let me start with the a forum address.
This is an AdlandPro Advisory Forum
that I was selected to be the Advisor for.
Where to start? I would say the thread
Google, Yahoo, CBS, AOL and ASK are now confirming my vision ...This will give everyone
a broad scope of what the blogging industry is heading to and has started. It's long reading
but it's a BIG FIELD and still young and wide open to pioneers.
Setting up a blog can be as easy as just signing up to a blog service, selecting a
template, filling in your profile and typing away. Or, You can install your own blogging
script on your hosting account, design the template(s), add plug-ins to get it to do what
you want, add extras to the database, oh and you need to create a database on your host for
your blog, a blog domain name needs to be bought if not part of a site ... shall I go on?
Some people do like that sort of stuff. I would rather write than program and fix errors
on a blog program.
Q. Is there anything you'd like to add about your forum or your experience as "Blog Master"
at AdlandPro?
A: First, I am not a blog master, but yes, I am knowledgeable on the subject. There are so
many directions that blogging can go that it would take a team of specialists to cover a
'masters' status. Blogging can be used for personal, business, groups, and business teams
internally. It can be private or open to the public. Blogs are starting to cover communications
the way we use email. Start a topic, post a comment just like a reply. You forward email,
just tell someone to go to the blog instead. Whatever you can think of you probably can do
via a blog.
One last thought. The industry has been skewed by many people including the news media.
Places like MySpace, Friendsters, and other social networking sites are not blogs. They
have a blog feature in their overall service. The term blog got misused by many teens that
were actually posting comments to their friends and they considered that blogging.
Blogging and AdlandPro combined can be a powerful force in any advertising strategy for a
person's business. As some may know
The AdlandPro Community Newsletter is posted on Bizzy Blogz. Since search engines love
changing content blogs get scanned faster than sites. The newsletter that's posted on the blog
will be scanned within 30 minutes of posting. And that means all links, profiles, stories,
etc. are being cataloged and prepared for search engine display.
You can get a free blog account at " Bizzy Blogz ". You get 2 blogs with your free account.

GETTING TO KNOW OUR POWER MEMBERS
You may have seen those red letters "Power Member" beneath their pictures in a forum, but
just who are these people? To answer that question we feature one such member each issue.
This issue the Power Member to be featured is:
Marion Tucker.
Hi Everyone!
Judy Woodson here. When I heard that Marion was to be featured this issue, I couldn't
wait to interview her as she was one of my first friends here at AdlandPro. Marion was
born in Germany, but moved to the U.S. when she was just 1½ years old and now lives in
Georgia. She is a lover of both people and animals and is devoted to both her family and
her church. She's been on the Internet since 2001, made the usual mistakes and has developed
quite a good business sense. She also has an excellent sense of humor which is evident by
her
Something To Make You Smile forum.
If you don't know Marion you can invite her to be friends
Here.
Now, on to the interview:
Q What first brought you to AdlandPro, Marion?
A. I was looking for more forms of advertising for my online business opportunity at the
time, long before the community was even around. That was in 2002 I believe.
Q. Can you tell us a little more about yourself?
A. You can learn all about me by going to my profile and clicking on
"About Me."
Don't want to take up more space on the Newsletter than necessary.
Q. Could you share some thoughts about AdlandPro and the community we have here?
A. We have many fine people in AdlandPro from all over the world, all different age groups,
ethnic backgrounds and different professions. You can learn so much from these people and
there is always someone to help you out no matter what kind of problem you have, be it
personal or business related.
I have made some wonderful friends and I feel blessed to have them. Everyone is more like
family minus a few undesirable ones I have encountered, but you find them anywhere you go.
Q. What do you feel you add to the community with your presence here and/or why do you
think you were chosen as a Power Member?
A Well, I hope I was helpful to anyone who needed help getting around AdlandPro. Also I
offered some useful information and made a contribution.
Q. Is there anything else you would like to add?
A.I would just like to thank all my AdlandPro family for being there when I needed them
and please feel free to
personal message me if I can be of assistance to you.
My time is more limited now as far as coming to AdlandPro as my business with
Direct Matches has
taken off and I have to focus on that. Plus I have added
GDI into the mix as well.
I was approached by a personally sponsored person in Direct Matches who is deaf and asked
me to join GDI. I told him I would do so to help him out and be his ears if anyone needed
to talk. My main focus is on Direct Matches though and I have enjoyed meeting many wonderful
people in there as well. I love getting paid to meet people!
God Bless You All!

New Lawyer
Joe grew up in a small town, then moved away to attend college and
law school. He decided to come back to the small town because he could be
a big man in this small town. He really wanted to impress everyone.
He opened his new law office, but business was very slow at first. One day, he saw a man
coming up the sidewalk. He decided to make a big impression on this new client
when he arrived.
As the man came to the door, Joe picked up the phone. He motioned the man in, all
the while talking..
"No. Absolutely not. You tell those clowns in New York that I won't settle this case
for less than one million.."
"Yes. The Appeals Court has agreed to hear that case next week. I'll be handling
the primary argument and the other members of my team will provide support..."
"Okay. Tell the DA that I'll meet with him next week to discuss the details.."
This sort of thing went on for almost 5 minutes. All the while the man sat
patiently as Joe rattled instructions.
Finally, Joe put down the phone and turned to the man.
"I'm sorry for the delay, but as you can see, I'm very busy.
What can I do for you?"
The man replied "I'm from the phone company..I came to hook up your phone."

Empty yourself of everything
Let the mind rest at peace
The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their return
They grow and flourish and then return to source
Returning to the source is stillness, which is the way of nature
The way of nature is unchanging
Knowing constancy is insight
Not knowing constancy leads to disaster
Knowing constancy, the mind is open
With an open mind, you will be open hearted
Being open hearted, you will act royally
Being royal you will attain the divine
Being divine, you will be at one with God
Being at one with God is eternal

We are all eternal, the eternal is all that remains

* * * *SPECIAL MESSAGE* * * *
Dear Community Members,
As you all know I have been absent for a while ... but I am back on my feet and getting stronger
by the day. I owe a lot of you a heartfelt thank you for all your beautiful messages, prayers and emails,
they have been a true, very much appreciated, Godsend.
My message, this issue, is going to be a little different to all other issues as I feel that, in the light of
events, in my absence, I would like to remind everyone about the meaning of a true community,
whether it be online, such as here at AdlandPro or offline, in your neighbourhood, your community.
In every community there are members who are closer than others, just like family members,
there are always certain rivalries and competition, which is healthy, in measurable doses. There is always
some degree of discord and some degree of misguidance and misleadance but the one thing that holds a
community together is mutual respect and respectful communication.
Respect and respectful communication are the foundations upon which human relations are built.
Listening is more important than talking, when you listen you show you care. Talking is a way of
sharing, understanding, enquiring and equalising.
Every word has a powerful meaning and each one occupies its own space and time and has
its own, appropriate, place for expression. Hurtful words attract hurt, happy words attract positivity,
sad words attract tears. Freedom of speech does not mean the freedom to hurt others and there
is no excuse valid enough for such a gesture, not even envy or competitiveness.
It takes a stronger individual to be kind than it does to be harsh but being kind should not be
confused with being insignificant. Just because a person says only a few words it doesn't mean
they are not hurting. Just because some shouts, it doesn't mean they don't love.
Remember the old saying: "Do unto others as you wish done unto you"? and have you heard
that a drop in the ocean, on one side of the world, can cause a tidal wave on the shore of
another side of the world?... well ... this is true enough for words as well... One word can spark
a flame that can, eventually, cause a war.
The real significance of our AdlandPro Community is to have a place where people can come to, to chill out,
to network, to show off their talents, to learn, to share but most of all to meet other people. Even if
you only joined for promoting your business, remember ... nobody does business with people they
do not like or do not trust...
AdlandPro is very visible on the Internet, so any outsiders looking in see what you have to say,
they see your profile and your business, as well as our community ... so please ... think wisely before you post, for the
sake of being a respectful to others, for the sake of making our community a place where
outsiders would feel welcome to come to, (remember, more members equals more business opportunities),
and for maintaining the integrity of your business, as well as your own personal integrity as a human being.
God Bless you all

Branding - Your Name and Image That Will Stick In Peoples' Heads - Part 1
Every famous thing has a name. It may be one word that says it all - Motorola.
It may ride off of the success of others, as in Sprint Cellular Phone by Motorola.
Whatever name you choose will establish your brand.
It will be the name that people
remember and will be with you forever.
This is vitally important. What would happen to Pepsi if the name was changed tomorrow
to Phiz-Pop.
Would you still buy it even if it tasted the same? Would they still be the
popular drink that they are?
The name, that was built carefully over many years, is the
most valuable asset they own. Your brand will do the same for your blog.
Does Branding Need To Be Relevent To Content?
The question immediately arises whether your name needs to be descriptive of your
content, and the answer is, "maybe."
Sometimes it helps, as with AdlandPro you expect it has to do with ads, but you didn't
expect a forum community within.
But the blog Boing Boing, a techno-babble blog on tech
gadgetry. Who would have guessed? Nothing descriptive in the name to suggest hi-tech toys.
