LETTERS TO THE EDITOR!
I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year". I
would also like to wish those that are celebrating other holidays a very happy "Holiday
Season".
This is a very special time of year for people all over the world, and it is a
time for people to reflect on the things in life that have true meaning and value.
It is also the time of year that people want to share with friends and family, and to
make memories that will last a lifetime. It is a time to pray for peace amongst our families,
neighbors, and all over the world.
My wish for all of you this Holiday Season is that you may have peace, joy, and love among
your families and with all our Brothers and Sisters around the world. I pray that we can be
thankful for the people and things in our lives that truly make a difference, and without
them life would just not be the same! Take the time this Holiday Season and let those whom
you love know how much they mean to you...each and everyday.
I personally want to take a moment to tell the Newsletter Team how much I love all of
them, and without all of them my life would not be the same. I would also like to express
my sincere thanks and gratitude to Bogdan and Michael for allowing me to make this Newsletter
happen. I pray that both of you and your families have a lovely and happy Holiday Season!
Last, but not least, I would like to thank God for my new husband, Mr Rick Martin!
Rick... you are my life, my love, my soulmate....life is much better now with you in
it! I thank you for being my friend and for loving me unconditionally! Merry Christmas
Babe....I love you!

The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but
rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge

Gustave Flaubert
Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always
someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that

Each issue of this newsletter will be featuring a different forum from the community.
Chances are, if you spend any time in our forums at all, you will be familiar with the
moderator of this issues featured forum, Tim Southernwood.

Tim's helpful posts can be seen in many forums, but did you know he has an excellent and most helpful forum of his own? It is called #101 Motivational Central. I asked Tim to tell us a bit about it and here's what he shared.
1.What struck me when I looked at the index of threads in this forum was that you are
addressing not only business motivation, but personal motivation as well. Could you comment
on what you had in mind when you started it and how it has evolved over time?
My intent in creating that forum was to share some of the motivational pieces from writers
like Jim Rohn ,
Brian Tracy,
Louise LeBrun and others, that greatly assisted my development as person and a
network marketer.
I also saw so many forums where people thinly veiled advertising with bits of pasted
information, and I felt that people needed to read uplifting and informative articles
that would help them develop their careers, something without all the distractions of
advertising. Any posts in the forum that don't relate to the topics of business or personal
motivation are politely removed.
I believe in the importance of both business and personal motivation, and have attempted
to find and offer helpful articles for both. The members also post related articles, and
that participation means so much!
I know in my own business, things went a lot smoother when I employed good business
housekeeping, and in my personal life...exactly the same when I employed good "personal"
housekeeping.
My greatest desire was to help my friends here in AdlandPro to improve their experience and
success in marketing.
If I've managed to motivate just one person to stay the course and move towards success,
then the forum
#101 Motivational Central has been a smashing success!
2. How has this forum contributed to your experience here at AdlandPro?
Overall, I would say that the responses and conversations as a result of my offerings
have been most gratifying. I do know that people have benefited from the forum, and I
know that from their responses. In fact I don't even think of it as "my" forum. It was
created for the benefit of my friends here in AdlandPro, and in my mind it belongs to them,
and it is their participation that makes it a success.
3. Is there anything you'd like to add about your forum or your experience here at
AdlandPro?
AdlandPro saved my marketing career in many respects. I was recovering from a nasty experience
with a direct sales company, and was being mentored by my good friend
Carl Haavaldson
in the SV Success system. It was recommended that I post in forums and AdlandPro was one
of them. I certainly didn't expect to find the kind of community spirit that exists here.
I come from a small town with just such a spirit,
and coming to AdlandPro was very much like coming home. AdlandPro made it possible to develop
the skills that are critical to marketing success, namely the skills of networking,
advertising, copy writing, etc.. My participation here, and the skill level and quality
of people in AdlandPro helped me realize perhaps my most important marketing asset.
My reputation.
I'm a people person and I totally enjoy helping others, and so offering that help through
a forum was a perfect fit for me. If there's any advice that I could offer my AdlandPro
friends with regards to creating forums, I would strongly suggest that they create something
that fits within their field of experience, something that they are passionate about, and
something that offers value to others. In following that suggestion they will develop a
presence, people will join their forum and stay and will participate, which makes the whole
experience not a job, but a labor of love.
Last I just want to thank everyone who has joined with me in
,
#101 Motivational Central and to stay tuned for something new that is in the works for
that Forum.

GETTING TO KNOW OUR POWER MEMBERS
Hello fellow Adlanders!
This is John Sanchez and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing one of the most
respected Power Members of the community, his name is
Dave Cottrell.

Dave as far as
I'm concerned is one of the wisest individuals here at AdlandPro. He is also one of the
kindest persons I know, he has a heart the size of Canada which happens to be where he's
from. Dave, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to answer my
questions. Blessings to you my brother!
1) Dave, what first brought you to AdlandPro?
I joined AdlandPro in 1998 because the classified site was so good, and also became an
affiliate at that time. I have advertised in the AdlandPro classifieds for years and get
a lot of traffic that way.
2) Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Well, back in 1959, I was being carried to a very wealthy and important family, when the
stork dropped me into a poor family in the middle of nowhere... LOL! Actually, I was born
in Hazelton, BC, into a wonderful and loving, but definitely not a wealthy family. It was
great! My 3 younger siblings and I grew up on a 320 acre farm bordered by the Skeena River
and ringed by high, snow-capped mountains. I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior at a very
early age, and have lived a very blessed life. I am married to the love of my life whom
I met at UBC and married when I was 18. We have 4 children - 2 girls and 2 boys. The elder
two are attending Heartland Bible Baptist College in Oklahoma City. Life has certainly not
always been easy - that would be boring, anyway - but God has definitely carried us through
all the difficult times and blessed us immensely.
3) What do you think it means to be a Power Member?
Well, first of all, it was a real surprise and an honor to be given that title. It does come
with some extra responsibilities, as
forums need to be kept up-to-date, and of course, it's
expected that a Power Member will represent, respect, promote and protect the spirit of the
community. I think one of the main things a Power Member needs to recognize is that freedom
of speech needs to be exercised with empathy and reasonable restraint.
4) What do you feel you add to the community with your presence here?
It is my hope that my small contributions will inspire questions and thought. If a
person goes through life questioning and thinking about many different things, rather
than just accepting the status quo, she or he will continue to grow and be a strong
contributor to society.
5) Any last thoughts you would like to share with us?
Yes! I would like to encourage all members of our great community to carefully read their
posts before hitting the submit button! It's a great way to make sure it's something that
really should be posted, rather than regretting the post later! God bless, Dave
Well my friends, I hope you enjoyed getting more acquainted with our Power Member
Dave Cottrell. He is great person to have on your friends list so make sure you invite
him to join your list of friends. And check out
his forums, you will be blessed by them.
Thank again Dave!
Sincerely,
John Sanchez

The Doctors Visit
I recently picked a new primary care physician. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests,
he said I was doing "fairly well" for my age.
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, "Do you think
I'll live to be 80?"
He asked, "Well, do you smoke tobacco or drink beer/wine?"
"Oh no," I replied. "I'm not doing either."
Then he asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?"
I said, "No, my other Doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!"
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing hiking, or bicycling?"
"No, I don't," I said.
He asked, "Do you ride motorcycles, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?"
"No," I said. "I don't do any of those things."
He looked at me and said, "Then why do you give a crap if you live to be 80?"

A Redhead Joke
A young redhead lady goes into the doctor's office and says that her body hurts wherever
she touches it.
"That's strange," says the doctor. "Show me."
She takes her finger and pushes her elbow and screams in agony.
She pushes her knee and screams, then pushes her ankle and screams.
Everywhere she touches makes her scream.
The doctor then asks, "You're not really a redhead, are you?"
"No," she says, "I'm actually a blonde."
"I thought so," the doctor says. "Your finger is broken."

INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
Hello Pauline

First, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule and honoring
us with an Interview. We all know what a busy woman you are with your job and with all your
duties at AdlandPro! So, thanks again for obliging us!
1) Our readers would like to know more about you as a member of the AdlandPro Community.
As a member of AdlandPro I feel it is my duty to see that I contribute something to make this a great place to be. To give as much as I take from it!! I'm here to learn as I am a newbie, and I know I'm not alone, there are many like me, and with a little help from my friends here I am finding my way around, and as I learn and grow in the knowledge of the online biz; I would like to think that I do my best to help others find their way too.
2) What brought you to AdlandPro and why?
I had joined an opportunity; in Feb 2006 that required me to post in free classified adds. AdlandPro was one of the places, and I just happened to check out the site, and found it very interesting. No sooner had I joined AdlandPro I made friends with a wonderful lady who then informed me that the biz opportunity; I was promoting wasn't a genuine one and that some of the endorsements on the site were fake!! there went my $125/- for joining, down the drain,!!!! That was my first BIG mistake, but I learnt from that and I'm ever grateful to my friends here for helping me.
3) What do you think about AdlandPro and the community?
I think this is the greatest place to be, Thank you Bogdan for having a vision and bringing this amazing community together. I see a lot of team work and team spirit here, a coming together for each other, and that touches my heart tremendously, you get a sense of belonging, even though there are miles that separate. I have no doubt in my mind that this community is going to grow from strength to strength and will one day soon be THE VERY BEST community one could find!!!!!!
4) Now that we know more about you as a business woman, we'd like to hear more about you on a personal level...how do you like to spend your time when you are not working.
On the personal front, I'm a very down to earth sort of person who will call a spade a spade!! my time spent with family are the times I relax the most. I usually just like to watch TV, spend time with my son Bobby chatting with him or listen to music, cooking something special for us.
5) Is there anything else you would like to add Pauline?
I would like to say a BIG thank you for featuring me here, Thank you Bogdan and team for giving us ADLANDPRO!!!!!
I dedicate this to you all:
'The heights of great men reached and kept
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they while their companions slept,
Were toiling upward in the night.'
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
God Bless you All!!!!!
You can see that Pauline is a very exceptional person and why we chose her to
write about! If you are not a friend of
Ms Pauline Raina. already why not take the time to invite her to become one of your
friends today.

* * * *SPECIAL MESSAGE* * * *
Dear Community Members,
Welcome to yet another issue of the newsletter ... and a very special one as it is the
issue before Christmas.Instead of harping on about the good forums to visit, I would like everyone to take a moment
this Christmas season to look to the positive things in life; the things to be grateful for;
the people who have come into our lives and given us a little happiness; the people who have
walked out of our lives but taught us a lesson and the people without whom we would never
have learnt anything.
We should be grateful for all the happy moments and all the sad moments because as long as
we can feel both, then we know that we are alive.
My prayer for everyone is that Santa may bring you everything your heart truly desires and I don't
mean material presents ... I mean the kind of presents that will last for an eternity ... those that
will never fade and those that will make your heart feel warm and your mind be at peace for the
rest of your days ... especially through the difficult times.
Seasons Greetings to one and all and may peace be upon you.

Inspirational Story
There was a young flower in the desert where all was dry and sad looking...
It was growing by itself...
...enjoying every day...and saying to the sun "When shall I be
grown up"? And the sun would say "Be patient"---
Each time I touch you,you grow a little"...
And she was so pleased.Because she would have a chance to bring beauty to this corner of sand...
And this is all she wanted to do---bring a little bit of beauty to this world.
One day the hunter came by---and stepped on her.---She was going to die---and she felt so
sad.Not because she was dying ---but because she would not have a chance to bring a little
bit of beauty to this corner of the desert.
The great spirit saw her, and was listening.---Indeed,he said ...She should be living...
And he reached down and touched her---and gave her life.
And she grew up to be a beautiful flower...and this corner of the desert became so
beautiful because of her.

Introducing one of our new members to AdlandPro
In each Newsletter we will be picking one of our New Members and
introducing them to you, our community, so that they can get more familiar
with other members of the community, and vice versa. This person will be
someone that has already started to be quite active in the community by
posting in forums, and making new friends - someone very much like my
friend, Mary
Hannan, this issues featured new member.

It was, in fact, her upbeat posts in many forums that first brought
Mary to my attention. There was something so caring about her replies, and
then there was the warmth and genuine happiness in her smile. When I
went to her profile I discovered several marvelous stories in her
"About
Me" section and I wanted to know how she found us, so I asked.
1) How DID you find us here at AdlandPro, Mary, and what made you
decide to join?
Hello Judy,
Well here goes. I hope this will be of interest. I found AdlandPro
while looking for places to advertise my site and affiliate programs. I
really did not know what an online community was, but I liked what I saw
and thought it would be interesting to be a part of it.
2) Can you tell us a little more about yourself?
As a housekeeping aide in a nursing & rehab facility, I hate my job but
I love the residents. I enjoy listening to their stories and oh what
stories they have to tell! Most have no family to come and visit them.
Quality of life can make the difference between adjusting to that
environment or losing the will to live and just giving up. If I can make a
difference in their life in any way, I will find it and do it.
I am now making a small profit on some of the programs I am promoting
after over two years of losing money.
3) Are there any experiences you've had here at AdlandPro that you'd
like to share?
I was honored to be chosen to be in the
"Spotlight", which is sadly no more.
I was totally blown away when I went to
Ambassador
John's 8th Awards Presentation Forum, scrolled down and saw myself
as one of the Fabulous Four Award recipients. There are so many great
forums here, so many kind, caring and helpful people!
4) Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am very proud to be a member of this wonderful community!
Bless you,
Mary
If you are not yet a friend of Mary's, you can invite her
here.
And/or visit Mary's forum,
"I value Your Opinion"
here.
