Many of you may recognize Kenneth Sword as the "blog guy", but did you know he also has a forum of Network Marketing Advice?

Kenneth's background as a businessman and a Power member here at AdlandPro more than qualify him as an advisor, and his thread topics vary from practical advice such as "What Does Your Press Release Say? and Is your Mentor REALLY A Good Mentor? to proper messaging as in the thread, Link Says [Send Me A Message] NOT [Send Me An AD].

I had a few questions and Kenneth was kind enough to reply.
Q: First of all, I notice this is a moderated forum. I'm guessing moderating a forum takes up quite a bit of extra time. What do you feel are the advantages of doing a forum this way?

A: Moderating a forum does take a little more time to manage, but, in doing so, it keeps the threads on topic and not cluttered with ads or the person that thinks that talking about their program is the answer to the topic. This involves them all to actually think about the topic and write something and leave the copy/paste alone. This makes better reading for everyone. It, as well, shows that bad behavior will not be tolerated including spamming the forum, flaming, etc ...

Q: I found the thread that asked folks to answer a series of questions in a "vote" format pretty interesting. How did you come up with the idea for it and what do you think was the most interesting thing you learned from it?

A: The questions were from the concept of how to find out what people need. Since I am in the business of helping others I needed to see what was the success rate and failing rate of people and what they were doing. This had to include their program usage, whether they owned their own program or are an affiliate for another, cost factoring of operation, passion, training and if they are happy with their earnings.

After examining the results there is an overwhelming trend to say no training or poor training is involved for most. Well over half surveyed are not happy with what they are making. Some may be even confused as to what they are really involved in. The majority say they have the passion for what they do and would do it for free but when looking at the other answers this really isn't the case.

In summary, lack of good network marketing education is evident and people are either misled to what and how or just won't take time and spend the money to learn properly.

Q: How do you see the forum evolving over time?

A: There will always be some form of network marketing and it will be dictated by the tools and platforms available at the moment. Web 2.0 is growing and changing as I write so staying up with information will always be critical. The forum will adapt and bring these as new topics for peoples awareness and learning.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to say about your forum, and how it adds to your experience here at AdlandPro?

A: I was blessed by Bogdan Fiedur and his team to be allowed to have this forum. It came from the original Power Members group and they gave me the green light to go with it. It has been a growing experience for me as well needing to stay educated on current issues of Network Marketing and rules that govern business and Internet. It also has allowed me to see the many faces we deal with at AdlandPro and to get a good idea of that person's character, their ethical standing and honesty. Also, those that are active with this forum are those that are willing to help others and/or are they're really wanting to learn.

THE POETRY CORNER

In this issue of the Newsletter's Poetry Corner we are featuring one of AdlandPro's most prominent figures in the intellectual circle. In fact, she has just started a new forum about the transpersonal world, which also delves into the life of Edgar Cayce .

That person is none other than our very own newsletter designer Dr. Venerina Conti Venerina doesn't very often allow us a glimpse into her poetry. She is quite a modest person when it comes to her accomplishments. I had to pry it out of her that she has had two poems published in poetry books in the United States!!!.

Here's what she had to say to me during an Interview;

Thank you Venerina for allowing me to Interview you for our Newsletter! I have to tell you that I was really surprised to discover that you write poetry. I have a couple questions I would like to ask you. I am interested in when you first started writing poetry, and what was it that made you start writing?

A. Thank you for interviewing me Sis. To be honest I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I did my apprenticeship by starting with simple poems and song lyrics and then moved onto bigger and better writing. (I hope!!!) heheheh...

Writing, was for me, a way of releasing what I had bottled up inside. It was a way of talking through my feelings with myself. It's actually not something that I share very often with others, despite having two poems published, as you mentioned above. I must confess that one of the two poems won an international award.
Q. Where do you get your inspiration from to write? Is there something in particular that inspires you?

A. My major inspiration is life itself. However, having travelled so much I have been inspired by so many wonderful people, beautiful scenery, history, culture and so on. Pretty much anything inspires me. Events, people, experiences, beauty. I just love to sit in quiet contemplation in deserted areas like the mountains, or the seaside, or even the desert at sunset with my pad.

This particular poem was inspired by a dream I had, which I also interpreted by way of an intense dream workout exercise. The dream revealed my connection to previous lives and mysticism through creativity. So, the poem carries with it a flavour of mystery.


"The Black Scorpions"

As hundreds of these creatures attach themselves to this bewildered seer
I just stand there observing, yet not with dreaded fear
Encircled and ensnared, I think not to run away
There are so many and yet seem, oddly, peaceful in their way

They do not harm me for it seems they wish to share
A truth that is infinite, honest and inwardly bare
They are guides and protectors of the infinite way
For those whom from their path should go astray

To struggle or reject them would be to deny
The answers to so many questions that start with: "Why"?
For this is a gift, from the heavens a token
A blessing and a curse for the voice unspoken

In the stillness of the mind is where I hear what they say
They illuminate the darkness and show me the way
Mysticism and magic of realms unknown
I do not scream nor wish to moan

Therefore I ask, black scorpions, please help restore
The longed inner peace and this soul reassure
I am not sure that I am worthy nor that I deserve
But your vision was clear and your voice was heard

May this humble servant be your channel of expression
As the infinite in me remembers through regression
My subconscious mind your humble abode
And my physical hand your scribing mode

Let, therefore, creation of creativity begin
The time is right for the enlightenment from within.
