Be Inspired
by Drª Venerina Conti
According to the Edgar Cayce readings, what is the essence of the spiritual path for each
soul? In other words, what is the journey of the soul?
Well, in essence, the journey and the whole point of the soul is to learn, and grow, in order
to earn its right to return to the Source and sit by the side of the Creator.
Edgar Cayce’s readings are quite eastern in philosophical thought. He is, in fact,
essentially responsible for awakening western culture to the notion of reincarnation.
In eastern culture, the concept of reincarnation has been around for centuries.
The Vedic scriptures proclaim that a soul will incarnate, several times, on
earth in order to restore balance within its, very, karmic nature. In other
words it is believed that the soul carries with it its own karma. Karma is,
essentially, a concept that adheres to the belief that actions have
consequences and that we are repaid with what we pay out. The belief is that
we will be treated by the way we treat others and that we will receive what we
give out. Karma is not, necessarily, related to the deeds themselves but the
belief patterns behind the deeds.

THE POETRY CORNER
I just love writing the Poetry Corner because it gives me a chance to discover how many talented people we have here in our Community at AdlandPro. I was very surprised to find out that our featured talent is a published writer in Canada and in the International Community. The person I am speaking of is none other than our very own ELAINE DE ROSIER.
I had the opportunity to Interview Elaine and ask her about her writing, and here is what Elaine had to say to me;
Q) Elaine, it is really great to be Interviewing such a gifted writer such as
yourself. I was wondering…when did you first start writing Poetry and what made you start writing?
A) My poetry has been a long time germinating in this body and soul. It has weathered
much pain and sadness along the way just waiting for the right time to blossom. It came to light as a result of some major personal challenges (Fall 2003) and through these I was ready to share not only myself but the deepest reaches of my soul through my voice
Q) Everyone has something or someone that inspires them to write poetry….What is it that inspires you to write your poetry?
A) My voice is becoming my "healing way" and is surely one of God's gifts. It has been
a huge challenge for me as a Mom because of poor role models, if any. I wrote this
poem for my 2 adult children - Trevor and Candice with the hope of supporting and
encouraging them through life in ways that were not given me.
I have chosen to send you a poem I wrote in the Summer of 2005 entitled "Dance,
Dearest One". Shortly after I wrote this poem, I had the wonderful opportunity to
spend an entire week with my 2 Sisters (2nd Sister Reunion) and less than 2 months
later, my baby Sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had given them both
a copy of this poem. My Sister is alive and survived Cancer with hope and God's grace.
It is for me, a real honor, to share this poem with you. It carries a very powerful message. Thank-you!
DANCE, DEAREST ONE!
Dance, dearest one --
Embrace all life has to offer;
Be all that you can be;
Give your heart and soul to others;
And let LOVE surely find its way!
Dance, dearest one --
Keep growing and always dreaming;
Laugh a little every day;
Be patient and forgiving;
And let LOVE surely find its way!
Dance, dearest one --
And don't be afraid of failure;
There's a rainbow in every cloud;
Let faith guide you and enfold you;
And let LOVE surely find its way!
Dance, dearest one --
Live each day with a purpose;
Be grateful for it all;
Remember life is an awesome journey;
And let LOVE surely find its way!
Blessings
Elaine De Rosier © 2005
Thank you so much Elaine for the very heartfelt poem. I enjoyed reading it very much and I am sure that our readers will as well. I appreciate you taking time to allow us to Interview you. It was a pleasure to learn a little more about you and your poetry.

An older woman recently returned from her hometown in North
Carolina and told a friend they'd spruced up the churchyard
cemetery since her last visit several years past. "Lots of new
greenery," she said. "And families are together now."
"All together?" her friend asked, puzzled.
"Well," the first replied, "years ago they never much worried
where they buried someone because everyone was a neighbor
anyhow. They'd just dig a grave wherever it seemed to balance
things. But they've redone it so people are with their children
and grandchildren, instead of scattered."
The friend was aghast. "You mean they exhumed all those people
and reburied them?"
"Oh my, no," was the reply. "We just shifted the headstones.

A tourist walks into a pawn shop in San Francisco. Looking
around at the stuff, he notices a very lifelike life-sized
bronze statue of a rat. It has no price tag, but is so
striking he decides he must have it. He takes it to the owner:
"How much for the bronze rat?"
"$12 for the rat, $100 for the story", says the owner.
The tourist gives the man $12.00. "I'll just take the rat, you
can keep the story."
As he walks down the street carrying his bronze rat, he notices
that a few real rats have crawled out of the alleys and sewers
and begun following him down the street. This is disconcerting,
and he begins walking faster. But within a couple of blocks,
the herd of rats behind him has grown to hundreds, and they
begin squealing. He begins to trot toward the Bay, looking
around to see that the rats now number in the MILLIONS, and are
squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.
Concerned, even scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay, and
throws the bronze rat as far out into the water as he can.
Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump into the Bay after it,
and are all drowned. The man walks back to the curio shop.
"Ah ha," says the owner, "you have come back for the story?"
"No," says the man, "I came back to see if you have a bronze
Democrat."

* * * *THE ART CORNER* * * *
It never ceases to amaze me how much genuine artistic talent we have
here at AdlandPro. Take for example Carol Ferrara. Carol is
a retired nurse who lives in Pennsylvania. She paints mostly, acrylics
mostly, but she also has published a book of poetry and has information
about all of that as well as about self-publishing on her website.
Well, maybe she's retired from nursing, but she certainly hasn't retired
from life!
Most of Carol's work is timeless. Check out Abby's
Starfish. Couldn't that have taken place way back when you were a child or
even last week? You can see some more of her work on Rose's, Art
Exhibition 16 Forum.
You can check out Carol's website here, or
invite her to be a friend here.

***************** FEATURED FORUM********************

One of the forums that I visit most regularly belongs to a gentleman named
Nick Sym. Have you seen it? It is called Poems of Life, Love and Religion,
but it is much more than that. For one thing, Nick peppers his words with
the most amazing graphics and photos.
If you want to know what I'm talking about, check out Cleaning Poem and then
for a laugh-out-loud good time, take a look at Cat Baths. See what I mean?
I wanted to know what Nick's views are about this forum, so I sent him a PM
to see if he would share some thoughts with us. Here's how our conversation
evolved:
Nick: Thank you so much for this opportunity and honor which just put me on
cloud nine. Adland is my home within my home and not being able to get
around much due to my disability I have made so many special friends which
I can keep in contact with on a day to day basis. I have never been a part
of such a community that everybody helps one another and it is such a
great feeling.
Judy: Since you spoke with Marilyn about your poetry some time ago, your
forum has expanded and evolved quite a bit. Could you share your thoughts
on how it has evolved and how you see it evolving in the future?
Nick: Years ago I found that I was blessed by our Holy Father with the gift
to be able to make people smile. Over the years it brought me so much joy
to be able to take away the pain of others for even just a moment. In time
I found I was able thank the Lord by spreading his word in my poems. Now when
I post I try to bring some joy to my Adland brothers and sisters and give
them total access to all my writings which are mostly religious but also
about life and love.
Judy: If a person were to visit your forum for the first time, what
thread or threads would you recommend, and why?
Nick: There are so many threads that I would not even know where to start.
In the beginning all I posted were my poems but there are so many talented
people here I had to find a venue which expressed how I felt and the message
I was trying to get across, so I went with what I was good at, humor. As my
friends here at Adland know I do have a serious side but you know what they
say, that a smile is universal! Then as time went on more people became
interested in my website which is a religious site and has my collection of
poems, and the longer I was a member the more people visited.
Judy: Is there anything you would like to add about how this forum has
affected your experience at AdlandPro or about your experience at AdlandPro
in general?
Nick: At Adland we have two sectors, the business and the general. I try
to keep in touch with both but find that some people in the business sector
are a little tense at times because they do not receive the replies they
expect. If the owners of the business forums came over and had a little fun
they might find they would get people coming over to their side. Remember
it has been proven long ago that everything in life is divided into Yin &
Yang and to keep an equal balance they must both co-exist! I can truly say
from the bottom of my heart that I love you all and since being here at
Adland you have all enriched my life and I thank you for that - God Bless
You All!
You can visit Nick's forum, here, invite him to be a friend, here, or visit
his website here.
