PRAYER
REQUESTS We have a couple of Prayer Requests that need
to go out!
First we would like to send our prayers out to MS
LAURIE KONSCAK. Laurie takes in many abused and neglected animals,
cares for them and finds them new loving homes to go to. She has a
Siberian Husky, named Sierra, that has cancer and is not doing very well.
Please pray for Sierra and ask God to not let her suffer, and take her
peacefully into her next life.
Next the Newsletter Team would like
to send our prayers out to SHIRLEY
CARON. Shirley has been having problems with one of her legs and it
may be due to a back problem. Shirley is having tests done to
determine the problem. Please keep Shirley and Mike in your thoughts
and prayers.
If you know of anyone that needs praying for please
send us the information and we will add them to our prayer list in the
next Newsletter. Thank you.

According to the Edgar Cayce readings, what is
the essence of the spiritual path for each soul? In other
words, what is the journey of the soul?
Well,
in essence, the journey and the whole point of the soul is to
learn, and grow, in order to earn its right to return to the
Source and sit by the side of the Creator.
Edgar
Cayce’s readings are quite eastern in philosophical thought.
He is, in fact, essentially responsible for awakening western
culture to the notion of reincarnation.
In eastern
culture, the concept of reincarnation has been around for
centuries. The Vedic scriptures proclaim that a soul will
incarnate, several times, on earth in order to restore balance
within its, very, karmic nature. In other words it is believed
that the soul carries with it its own karma. Karma is,
essentially, a concept that adheres to the belief that actions
have consequences and that we are repaid with what we pay out.
The belief is that we will be treated by the way we treat
others and that we will receive what we give out. Karma is
not, necessarily, related to the deeds themselves but the
belief patterns behind the deeds. To Read the whole

THE POETRY CORNER
I
just love writing the Poetry Corner because it gives me a chance to
discover how many talented people we have here in our Community at
AdlandPro. In this issue I am featuring another fine talent, and that
is ROSALIND
BRINSON.
I had the opportunity to Interview Rosalind to ask
her about her writing, and here is what Rosalind had to say to
me;
Q) Rosalind, it is really great to be Interviewing such a
gifted writer such as yourself. I was wondering…when did you first
start writing Poetry and what made you start writing?
A) I
began writing poetry in high school (1983). The yearbook advisor noticed
my work, and put me on the yearbook committee. It was the most fun I
had in school. Once I reached my sophmore year of college I realized
chemistry wasn't going to work. (My original major was pre-med.)
English became my major and it just went from there. Life got in the
way however, so I will need to go back to complete my
degree.
Q) Everyone has something or someone that inspires them
to write poetry…. What is it that inspires you to write your
poetry?
A) Inspiration comes from many sources: a snatch of a
conversation, a noise from the street, a human interest article in the
newspaper. Quite a bit comes when I travel. Several poems came from a
trip to Las Vegas. Others from Sedona, Baltimore, and Cape Cod.
Here is one of my favorites:
GOING AWAY
Don’t
take that shirt My arms need the sleeves
Don’t take your
cologne It’s my inhaler
Leave those socks behind My feet are
cold enough
Don’t take that old sweater It hugs me when you’re
not around
Don’t take that beer It enhances the light from the
fridge.
Don’t Don’t Don’t go
There’s too much to
pack There’s too much to lose.
Thank You!
Rosalind
Brinson © 2007
Thank you so much Rosalind for the very
lovely poem. I enjoyed reading it very much and I am sure that our
readers will as well. I appreciate you taking time to allow us to
Interview you. It was a pleasure to learn a little more about you and
your poetry.

An older
woman recently returned from her hometown in North Carolina and told a
friend they'd spruced up the churchyard cemetery since her last visit
several years past. "Lots of new greenery," she said. "And families are
together now."
"All together?" her friend asked,
puzzled.
"Well," the first replied, "years ago they never much
worried where they buried someone because everyone was a neighbor anyhow.
They'd just dig a grave wherever it seemed to balance things. But they've
redone it so people are with their children and grandchildren, instead of
scattered."
The friend was aghast. "You mean they exhumed all those
people and reburied them?"
"Oh my, no," was the reply. "We just
shifted the headstones.
*****************************
A
tourist walks into a pawn shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the
stuff, he notices a very lifelike life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It
has no price tag, but is so striking he decides he must have it. He takes
it to the owner: "How much for the bronze rat?"
"$12 for the rat,
$100 for the story", says the owner.
The tourist gives the man
$12.00. "I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story."
As he
walks down the street carrying his bronze rat, he notices that a few real
rats have crawled out of the alleys and sewers and begun following him
down the street. This is disconcerting, and he begins walking faster. But
within a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him has grown to
hundreds, and they begin squealing. He begins to trot toward the Bay,
looking around to see that the rats now number in the MILLIONS, and are
squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.
Concerned, even
scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay, and throws the bronze rat as far
out into the water as he can. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump
into the Bay after it, and are all drowned. The man walks back to the
curio shop.
"Ah ha," says the owner, "you have come back for the
story?"
"No," says the man, "I came back to see if you have a
bronze Democrat."

* * * *THE ART
CORNER* * * *
When Rose
Enderud opened her 17th Art
Exhibition and stated that Mario
Labonte had put together a slide show to dazzle you, she was not just
throwing pretty words around. This slide show dazzles in every sense of
the word from the sparkly stars that twinkle throughout to the seemingly
endless parade of images shown. And what images they are: mythical
creatures, snow scenes, kid's art, sketches and paintings of unforgettable
faces, window designs - you really have to see it all to appreciate the
scope of this gentleman's talent.
Mario lives in Victoria, British
Columbia, Canada and is relatively new to AdlandPro, but obviously he's
not new to the art world. After you check out his slide show, you might
want to visit his website as well. From
individually hand signed and dated Art Cards to Murals to a page where
you can request a Commissioned Work in an easy fill-in-the-blanks format, the site
is well organized and easy to navigate.
Oh, and I mustn't forget
the contest. Do you have a child who likes to color? Mario has a page of
Christmas
Pictures ready for copying and coloring, and yes, it is a contest!
Just invite your child to color one of the pictures provided, email them
in to Mario with your child's first name, age and city before December
25th and you will be entered into a drawing for the signed print of your
choice. Pretty neat, huh?
You can see Mario's Art Slide Show here,
his website here and invite him to be a
friend here.

***************** FEATURED FORUM
********************

One
of the best new forums on AdlandPro is the ALPHABET
GAME AND FUN forum started by MONICA S. Monica has
not been with ALP all that long but she sure has made a huge presence with
her wonderful forum. I have been to the forum a couple of times, and
everyone that goes there has so much fun! There's a lot of joking and
silliness among the players, it's a nice break from all the work and
seriousness going on otherwise.
I had the opportunity to talk to
Monica and Interview her about her forum, and here is what she had to say;
Q. Monica, first I would like to Congratulate you on having
such a great new forum. I was wondering...Where did you come up with
the idea for your Alphabet Game forum?
A. After becoming
active in Adland, I realized that so many people were so serious. Don't
get me wrong, it is great to be a Serious Marketer, but you have to relax
every once in a while also. I thought a game of this type would help some
to loosen up, and get to really know one another. Not just the business
side of the other members, but their personality.
Q. Your forum
is a big hit..people love coming to your forum and playing along. Did you
think your forum would be so popular when you created it?
A.
Actually, no I didn't. My original thoughts were that perhaps a few
members would participate, and I had planned on doing only 1 game a day.
But after a few days, it was immediately becoming a success, and we have
since had 3 games a day, every day.
Q. You have not been at ALP
very long...What do you think about the Community, and is there anything
else you would like to add?
A. I think the Community and the
Members are awesome. I was welcomed with Open Arms by most of the members
when I first joined. There are a variety of Forums, a variety of
personalities, well blended.
Thank you very much Monica for taking
time out of your busy day to talk with us. I appreciate that very much,
and I wish you much continued success with your forum.
If you have
not been to Monica's forum and played the Alphabet game you really should
go and check it out! It really is a whole lot of fun. Be prepared though,
it goes very quick! Click HERE
to go to the forum.
You can also catch Monica on her website
