In this issue of the Newsletter we are featuring another one of Adlands poets, MRS. SHIRLEY CARON. Shirley has received a lot of Recognition and High Achievement Awards. Editors Choice Awards, Trophies, Gold Medal of Excellence, and Certificates are just a few. I was delighted to have the opportunity to interview with her. Q. Shirley, Thank you for taking the time to interview with us. When did you begin writing poetry, who or what first inspired you? A. I am quite honored to have been selected to be in September's Newsletter! I started Writing Poetry when I was 25 years Old, about 35 years ago, and to date, I have written over 100 poems and several songs. I had been through some hardships and horrific events that happened to me and my son, George Jr., because of his Father (my Ex-Husband, George) and I just needed to write it all down on paper. I had so many different emotions that I went through the 16 Years that I was married to the animal, I came close to having a complete nervous breakdown. I had several Epileptic seizures all the years that I was with him. I would not say that he was an Inspiration to me writing poetry, but I just had such a need to get all the built up feelings inside of me, out in the open. I am shedding tears at this time. Q. You have written some great poetry. Where do you get your current inspirations? A) My Husband, Mike, has been the Person to Inspire me to keep Writing Poetry and to keep sending my Poetry into Contests. I am so grateful to the Good Lord and my Husband, Mike for watching over me and taking good care of me and I always thank the Good Lord for my Rare Talent of Writing Poetry and for a Beautiful Voice with which to Sing His Praise and Glory to all!!! Here is one of my Favorite Poems, "A Touch of Beauty", which has also been Recorded as a Song! A TOUCH OF BEAUTY The Sun shines bright with it's Golden Hue It's Domain is the Sky - so Azure Blue The Mountains with their Majestic Peaks stretching towards the Heavens above, Soaring high above the Earth is a Snow-white Dove The Unrelenting Ocean with it's Never-ending Tide As each rushes into shore - against the boulders it does collide The Depths of the Sea is the Fish's Domain In this Fluid Wonderland they will always remain The Trees stand tall, and their branches sway to and fro During the Winter, it is a sight to behold when they are draped with Snow In Autumn, the Leaves are speckled with Amber, Brown, and Red Slowly, through the Season, the Leaves begin to shed. Talking Dog for Sale This guy sees a sign in front of a house "Talking Dog for Sale." He rings the bell
and the owner tells him the dog is in the back yard. The guy goes into the backyard
and sees a mutt sitting there. "You talk?" he asks. "Yep," the mutt replies. "So, what's your story?" The mutt looks up and says, "Well, I discovered this gift pretty young and I
wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA about my gift, and in no time
they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world
leaders, cause no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their
most valuable spies eight years running. "The jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger
and I wanted to settle down. So I signed up for a job at the airport to do some
undercover security work, mostly wandering near suspicious characters and listening
in. I uncovered some incredible dealings there and was awarded a batch of medals.
Had a wife, a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired." The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.
The owner says "Ten dollars." The guy says he'll buy him, but asks the owner, "This dog is amazing. Why on
earth are you selling him for $10?" The owner replies, "He's such a liar." Football Wedding Two guys are talking about their boss's upcoming wedding. One says, "It's ridiculous,
he's rich, but he's 93 years old, and she's just 26! What kind of a wedding is that?" The other says, "Well, we have a name for it in my family." "What do you call it?" "We call it a football wedding." The first asks, "What's a football wedding?" The other says, "She's waiting for him to kick off!"

Sara is from South Alabama. She never had any formal training, but her work
is wonderful, and she works in so many different mediums. There is a charm in her
work that is hypnotizing. You really have to see it to appreciate the scope of this woman's talent. Her dad was a farmer and her mom worked along side him, so Art School was out of
the question. "To be able to create something was and still is, very exciting.
Just to have a thought and write it down, or have a vision and paint it, whether
it be on canvas, a wall, a t-shirt, paper, or even cardboard is a joy to see it
come alive." She has done many, many pieces and shows. "Since retirement, I paint or write for the simple joy of it. My testimony in life
is to spread God's word through the gifts He has given me. I find little time
now to actually paint, my work consists of promoting the many, many works of art
already created." Sara is really enjoying every minute now and it sure does shows.
She has mentioned that animations have caught her attention and how it's fun to

read some of beautiful poems. ***************** FEATURED FORUM******************** Q) Do you have any tips or suggestions for someone who is thinking of starting a new forum, and how to make it successful? A) Well, you have to find something that everyone is interested in. Not too many people are interested in coming to look at alot of advertisements. You have to spice it up, give them something they want. Something that will make them want to keep coming back. Now that is the trick! Q) Is there anything that you would like to add about, such as how your experience has been here at Adlandpro? A) I would say, I never knew joining a Classfied Ad site would be so much fun. I thought it was just a place to advertise your business. Boy was I wrong. I've met alot of wonderful people here, and it's like my home away from home. I don't regret it one bit. But, I will say this, if someone had told me to come and join because you'll have fun there, I wouldn't have believed them. Thank you BJ for allowing us to interview you.
