We do not have any particular prayer requests today, so I am just going to ask God to watch over everyone in Our Community! You know their needs Lord, so please help our friends and family here with whatever needs they may have.

I also want to pray for all the people around the world, and ask you God to bring Peace where there is turmoil. Be Inspired

by DrŠ Venerina Conti

According to the Edgar Cayce readings, what is the essence of the spiritual path for each soul? In other words, what is the journey of the soul?

Well, in essence, the journey and the whole point of the soul is to learn, and grow, in order to earn its right to return to the Source and sit by the side of the Creator.

Edgar Cayce’s readings are quite eastern in philosophical thought. He is, in fact, essentially responsible for awakening western culture to the notion of reincarnation.

In eastern culture, the concept of reincarnation has been around for centuries. The Vedic scriptures proclaim that a soul will incarnate, several times, on earth in order to restore balance within its, very, karmic nature. In other words it is believed that the soul carries with it its own karma. Karma is, essentially, a concept that adheres to the belief that actions have consequences and that we are repaid with what we pay out. The belief is that we will be treated by the way we treat others and that we will receive what we give out. Karma is not, necessarily, related to the deeds themselves but the belief patterns behind the deeds.

THE POETRY CORNER

profile pic

I enjoy writing the Poetry Corner because it gives me the opportunity to meet some of Adlands Finest Poets. In this issue we bring to you, MR MATTHIAS KROON. I had the opportunity to interview Mattias, and this is what he had to say:

Q) Mattias, Thank you for taking the time to interview with us. Can you share with us, When did you first realize that you had a talent for writing?

I realized that I had a talent for writing poetry a few years ago. This was when I started to write on a Swedish site, which receives both novels and poems. Iīve been selected in some contests and my poetry has been reviewed in Poetry.com. Iīve received good reviews and good tips to develop it too. Itīs nice to write both in Swedish and English. One Swedish politician wrote to me that one of my poems was the best she had read in a long time.

Q) What is your favorite thing to write about, do you have a preference?

For the most I write poetry with a perspective on life. With an engagement in society today I have a vision to impact my readers. Poetry is a fascinating art, which reveals so many truths to us. I have studied many different forms of poetry, but all the time I come back to the perspective on life itself. I want to reveal something from God in my poetry as He is our creator of life.

Here is one of Matthias' poems that he has decided to share with us;

OPUS 3

A great musician tries to convey
his work to the world.
A painter needs his colours,
to heal the wounds of the world.
Trendy thoughts aren`t always
a smell of roses.

To walk against the trendy streams,
always costs, more than every dollar.
When a Predator dresses up like an "innocent"
politician, you should be aware more than ever.
Step by step he infiltrates peopleīs minds, and he thinks he is clever.

Like risen from an abandoned graveyard but an Actor in his speeches.
Assasination arrives, with this charismatic creature.
When the archangel Mikael sings his mighty Opus this Antichrist tremble.
Another angel takes his heavenly harp, and pianissimo is not foreseen.
If you believe in what you see, you will enter a place you have never seen

Forte fortissimo and the crescendo is arriving in its magic.
A musical battle reveals the struggle of every human being.
The Predator plays his hellish fiddle, but will turn to his grave again.
Tranquility tunes talking to thee.
An infidel will never see.

Music Maestro!
Give me Zarathustra! give me the Uncompleted Symphony!
Music of life never destroys, never darkens thy souls.
If you give me your music I will play it with my imagination.
If we caress creativity we will embrace our souls satisfaction

Thank you Mattias for the beautiful poem. You have a true natural talent and it has been great getting an in depth view of your writing!

Sally Sells
=-=-=-=-=-=
A couple lived near the ocean and used to walk the beach a lot. One summer they noticed a girl who was at the beach pretty much every day.

She wasn't unusual, nor was the travel bag she carried, except for one thing; she would approach people who were sitting on the beach, glance around furtively, then speak to them. If they seemed to respond negatively, there would be a quick exchange, she would nod and then wander off. The couple assumed she she was a cop, but since they didn't know for sure they just continued to watch her.

"Honey, have you ever noticed that she only goes up to people with boom boxes and other electronic devices?" He hadn't and said so.

He said "I'm going to get a towel and our big radio and go lie out on the beach. Then we can find out what she's really doing."

The wife was hopping up and down with anticipation when she saw the girl talk to her husband and then leave. She ran down to the beach and asked her husband to give her the full story.

The man grinned and said, "She's a battery salesperson."

"Batteries?"cried the wife.

"Yes," he replied.!

"OOOOOOOH!!!!!!", said the wife. "She sells C cells down by the sea shore."

-----

Yesterday I went to the optician's, walked up to the counter and said to the guy on duty, "I think my eyes are going."

He said, "They've gone mate - this is Burger King."

-----

At the airport check-in counter I overheard a woman ask for window seats for both she and her husband.
The clerk pointed out that this would prevent them for sitting together.

"Sweetie," the woman replied, "I've just spent 10 days of quality time in a compact rental car with this man. I *know* what I'm requesting!"

Rose Enderud has really done a wonderful job on the 18th Art Exhibition. The featured artist is Sara Gardner Blow for your viewing pleasure. Sara has been a member of Adlandpro since May 2006. She works in a variety of mediums and is a lovely talented member of our community.

Sara is from South Alabama. She never had any formal training, but her work is wonderful, and she works in so many different mediums. There is a charm in her work that is hypnotizing. You really have to see it to appreciate the scope of this woman's talent.

Her dad was a farmer and her mom worked along side him, so Art School was out of the question. "To be able to create something was and still is, very exciting. Just to have a thought and write it down, or have a vision and paint it, whether it be on canvas, a wall, a t-shirt, paper, or even cardboard is a joy to see it come alive." She has done many, many pieces and shows.

"Since retirement, I paint or write for the simple joy of it. My testimony in life is to spread God's word through the gifts He has given me. I find little time now to actually paint, my work consists of promoting the many, many works of art already created." Sara is really enjoying every minute now and it sure does shows. She has mentioned that animations have caught her attention and how it's fun to create them. Please go visit Sara's Art exhibition...you will be so glad you did!

You can also visit Sara's website to see more of her artwork, or visit her Sara's Poetry site to read some of beautiful poems.

************** FEATURED FORUM **************

profile pic

The first time I “met” Sam Sunday was when his birthday was being celebrated in a forum. I went and wished him a Happy Birthday. I didn’t know Sam, but his smile captured me and I loved his response to my post. I have been following his Inspirations of Samiplus forum ever since. Recently I sent him a PM just to see what his thoughts were on this most successful forum, and here are his responses:

Q) Over time your forum has had threads on a wide variety of topics. Could you share your thoughts on what you had in mind when you first started it and how it evolved to where it is today?

A)When I first joined Adlandpro, late 2006, I noticed that the community is blessed with people from all works of life and from all over the world with the drive for friendship and the knack to share. I also observed that more than 60% of members are above 40 years of age and therefore highly experienced in both their daily living and professional callings.

With such wealth of experience, I thought I should build a forum where I can initiate topics that will attract members to discuss and share through their individual experiences and talents to the benefits of everyone, especially our young people and those who are down in one way or the other, that need such inspired discourses to find their rhythm to excel.

Starting Inspirations of Samiplus was not easy due to initial lack of patronage and visitors to the forum. It took the supportive encouragements of my first set of friends here as well as their tutelage on how to sustain and attract members to visit the forum. They include Jill Bachman, Leslye Miller, Judy Smith and many more. My friends kept visiting and posting in the forum which gives me the much needed inspiration to continue.

Q) Your Articles of Virtue series has gotten a phenomenal response – and for good reason. How do you manage to get such a wide variety of people to co-ordinate on each article?

A) “Articles of Virtue” series was borne out of the need to harness the rich deposit of wisdom and experience that abound all over the community. When you look at a member's bio, you’ll see that almost everyone has something very rich and inspiring to share with the rest of us. “Articles of Virtue” provides a platform where these priceless possessions by our members can be relived. We do this by encouraging participants to put these thoughts into a summarized writing format.

We try to bring as many members as possible into each project, this in turn fetches us the needed wide variety of member-visitors. But I’ll give alot of credit to my first team of Judy Smith and Neil Sperling for the success of Articles of Virtue.

Q) Is there anything you would like to add about how this forum has affected your experience at AdlandPro or about your experience at AdlandPro in general?

A) As a matter of fact, I am a geologist by profession and writing has always been my leisure call, but not to such an enjoyable height as I experience today. Through my association with the good people of this community, my writing skills have been greatly sharpened. There is nothing as satisfying and inspiring as realizing that my work is appreciated by people whose nationalities cut across the larger world.

I want to thank you so much Judy, for an opportunity to participate in the community’s newsletter. Please keep the good job going.

Remain ever blessed!

You can invite Sam to be your friend Here.
