Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, and Eid Mubarak to all the rest of our members celebrating their holidays! Please submit questions or comments to me here:We have a couple of Prayer Requests that need to go out this time around! We would like to continue to send our prayers out to MS LISA WESTBERRY and her family. Lisa's little girl Elizabeth has a very rare form of cancer. The family is back home in Charlotte now, and Elizabeth is now receiving radiation treatments. Elizabeth is still having a problem with eating, and has barely eaten anything in almost 3 months. She is being tube fed, and the doctors are concerned about her not wanting to eat. Please keep praying for Elizabeth that she has a full recovery, and for Lisa, George and the rest of the family and friends as this is a very stressful and difficult time for all. We would also like to send our condolences to Terry Davis. Terry's wife, Linda, recently passed away after suffering with cancer for the last few years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Terry and his family during their time of sorrow. We have one last Prayer Request...we would like to send our thoughts and prayers to Robert Coaster and his family. Robert's Mom is back in the hospital, and his Uncle has an infection. Robert is a caregiver for 3 people, which in itself is very difficult and stressful, so we ask God to continue to give Robert the strength and health to continue on with this very selfless act. Robert you are AWESOME!! If you know of someone that needs praying for please send us the information and we will add them to our prayer list in the next Newsletter. Thank you. Written By: MARILYN L. In this issue of the Newsletter we are featuring another one of AdlandPro's poets, MR PIERRE LOUMA. Pierre is an awesome poet and author. Its since I was eight years old that I started writing poems. I wrote one over every piece of humor, outing, suffering and windfall I came across. I loved particularly nature, the winds, the blue skies, the moon and loved everything that was beyond human imagination. I grew as an orphan, even though I had parents, who were divorced when I was 3 years old ,and abandoned me with different aunties, who made shifts off me throughout my primary education .. In 1974-76 I wrote two books. 'Whispering West Africa' which was based on a true story about life of dictators in Africa. Then I wrote a second one titled 'Hard Way To Love' this was based on my childhood, the difficulties and the Love I was totally deprived of. Three years ago I wrote another book titled 'The Universal Epistle' a spiritual and totally new way of life after Christ, based on healing, blessings and power. Everything I do is full of creative notions and I belong to those who believe totally in what I do, without any Ego or pride attached to it. I have always worked for the benefit of mankind, and admire issues or publications that unite people from all works of life without color, place or loyalty. SAMIPLUS, is the KEY WORD of that fervent imagination to elevate people. By Pierre Louma Over the rivers of serenity and hope, Copyright ©2007 Pierre Louma I want to thank Pierre for this great poem, and for letting us know a little bit more about himself. We would like to wish Pierre much more continued success with writing his poetry, writing some more great books, and with whatever else life has to offer him. Good Luck to you! Written By: JUDY SMITH FROM ALL OF US HERE ON THE NEWSLETTER TEAM WE WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE A WONDERFUL AND HAPPY HOLIDAY, WHICHEVER HOLIDAY YOU MAY CELEBRATE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! ![]()

No one can fracture a Christmas carol better than a kid. Sing along with these new takes on old favorites: - Olive, the other reindeer. - Frosty the Snowman is a ferret elf, I say - Sleep in heavenly peas - In the meadow we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is sparse and brown - You'll go down in listerine - Oh, what fun it is to ride with one horse, soap and hay - Come, froggy faithful - You'll tell Carol, "Be a skunk, I require" - Good tidings we bring to you and your kid **************************Christmas Tree Two goobers went deep into the frozen woods searching for a Christmas tree. After hours of subzero temperatures and a few close calls with hungry wolves, one goober turned to the other and said, "I'm chopping down the next tree I see. I don't care whether it's decorated or not!" YIKES!!! **************************What Denomination? A woman went to the Post Office to buy stamps for her Christmas Cards. "What denomination?" asked the clerk. "Oh, good heavens! Have we come to this?" said the woman. "Well, give me 30 Catholic, 10 Baptist ones, 20 Lutheran, and 40 Presbyterian." * * * *THE ART CORNER* * * *
I am thrilled and honored to be the writer of this edition of THE ART CORNER. These ladies work so hard always. These 3 ladies, ROSE ENDERUD, JENNY SJ, VENERINA CONTI, really out do themselves presenting this forum to us every 3 weeks. When I went to see who was being featured this time around I found a very talented impressionist, Mr Alan Long. Alan Long, the impressionist that is listed in the World Artist Directory, has more than 38 years of painting experience. He received formal art education when he was a teenager from two famous Singapore pioneer artists the late Mr Chen Chong Swee and Dr Chen Wen Hsi as well as the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Mr Lim Mu Hue was then one of his teachers at the academy. Alan is an amazing artist, he has mastered the skill of knife paintings, and is able to paint and complete the entire picture with the use of painting knives, except his signature. You see those little birds flying in his beautiful landscapes and seascapes are by sharp tiny brushes. With the special skill of knife painting, Alan has established his very own characteristic impressionism. His art lovers can easily identify his paintings before even looking at his signature. ![]() As you can see Alan's artwork is absolutely amazing and very beautiful. I am truly in awe of his artwork, and it is the first time that I have ever heard of this technique, knife painting. Alan certainly has an innate talent and has put his talent to use in an extraordinary way. I am very honored to have Alan featured in this issue of the Newsletter. Written By: MARILYN L. MARTIN
