I try to recognize all the worldwide holidays and recently I have had enquiries as to the absence of Good Friday and Easter Sunday on the holiday schedule to the left. The reason for the omission from my original listing was because I had come across two dates when I was looking this up, it was December 2007 and there was some concern in the discrepancy of the dates, so I left it out until I could confirm the actual date.
Turns out, as I am sure some of you already know, there are two different Worldwide dates for both Good Friday and Easter Sunday based on Western and Eastern religions and the calendars used. So I will recognize it for both dates and come away with a little more knowledge regarding these holidays.
Did you know? In the Western Religion, Easter can fall between March 22 and April 25. It has not fallen on the earliest date of March 22, since 1818, and the next time it will happen is 2285. It will, however, fall on March 23 this year, but will not do so again until 2160. The last time Easter fell on the latest possible date, April 25, was 1943 and will next fall on that date in 2038. However, it will fall on April 24, just one day before the latest possible date, in 2011. The most common date for Easter is April 19th happening 3.9% of the time with the rest of the dates having a mean occurrence of 2.9%.
As always and feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below

What Does Your Customer Really Want?
By Sameep Shah
It's as important today as it was before the invention of ecommerce and the Internet. No matter what business you're in, customer feedback is one of the most important things you'll need to work out if you want your business to grow and become successful. To that end, the Internet has presented the online entrepreneur with a great advantage over his predecessor who could only rely on postage stamps, envelopes and the telephone to get an accurate feel for his customer. Today's business owner has the use of technology that makes getting a feel for what the general consumer wants almost instantaneous with technologies like email and pay per click testing. There's absolutely no reason in today's world for the business minded go getter to design a static web site that's got only what he or she thinks the customer wants on it. In the Internet world, getting the necessary feedback is fast and a lot cheaper than the methods used only several years ago. In virtually minutes, it's possible to gather information from customers who bought from you-what it is they bought, and how much they spend, as well as whether they plan on coming back. This kind of data can be gathered and analyzed in house. There is no need to guess at what attracts customers to your site and what keeps them there. Almost all website hosting accounts include ways to track the statistics for your website such as which page is popular, how long they're staying on your website, what they like or dislike and so much more.

There's no reason not to build your site with the intention of adjusting at least the written content once you've got it online. Many web designers have the option of allowing you to change the content through an administration site as will. By following the visits to your site, you should be able to quickly adjust the written content to get a good idea of what works and what doesn't. Other methods combine the new technologies with older more traditional methods. "Was this information helpful?" boxes somewhere on various sites should give a clear indication of how the site works. Some of these even go a step further and ask respondents to number their responses from one to ten.
Remember that you're trying to sell something when you start an online business. Following the trends, regardless of your personal opinions of them, can be a great way to keep your site on or near the top of the page rankings. For example, one of the latest trends is incorporating video into your websites. These short clips are on the cutting edge of what's popular today and they add an even more personalized touch to the other graphics and sound bites available to web designers. These videos often introduce the principles in the company or demonstrate part of the product line.

Internet Marketing Tips
- Do Gimmicks Work?
By Steven Wagenheim
Do gimmicks work? Good question. Some people would say yes and others would say that marketing still comes down to solid tried and true methods. Is it possible that both camps are right? Well, much to what I am sure will be your disappointment, I'm not going to outright answer this question. The reason is because there is no one answer. Why? Because the truth is, both camps ARE right. And to illustrate that, I will give you a couple of examples from my own experience that support both theories. You can take away from this whatever you like. I will admit that most of my promotional campaigns do not rely on gimmicks. I am a pretty straight shooter when it comes to marketing and don't normally like to fool around with things. So when I launched my latest product that did about $1700 in 4 days, I did all the normal, dull things I usually do...wrote articles, emailed my list, frequented forums, posted a few ads around the Internet and told my friends in the business in case they wanted to help me promote. It was all basic stuff and it produced some great results in a relatively short period of time. That's how I normally do things.
However, once in a while, I will try something off the wall like make some crazy videos and let them go viral. I'll make them weird enough so that people will talk about them. I'll even throw my own face up on the Internet for people to see how nerdy I am. I don't care. I don't take myself very seriously and because of that, I can have fun with myself. On top of that, I might try some viral script and throw it online with a giveaway of some sort. I may even contribute to a giveaway, which is certainly a form of a gimmick. Do these things work? Of course they do, but the truth is, not any better or worse than my standard methods. It's all marketing.
Certainly if you use a gimmick and there is no real product behind it, you're not going to do well...and THAT my friend is the real key. I don't care what corn-ball method of marketing you use. If the product isn't worth squat, prospects are going to see right through it and they won't buy it. That is really the ONLY thing that matters.
So, you can try some gimmicks to see if your campaign takes off. They do work for me.
Just make sure you have the goods to back it up.
To YOUR Success

Common Technical Questions
How Do I Place Your Link On My
Website?
This is a very common question which does not have a
simple answer. There are hundreds of types of web
builder websites and programs out there that it is
impossible for our support team to correctly walk anyone
through this process step by step. This is not
something which can be determined easily. Imagine this
example:
A person calls a mechanic and says "Where do I install
sparkplugs in my car?" naturally, the answer from the
mechanic would be, "What kind of car?" if the mechanic
is unfamiliar with the make/model, they cannot tell this
person step by step how to put the sparkplugs into their
car.
The same is true for placing a link. It is not
difficult but requires some effort to complete. Here is
the best way to go about it:
1) Consult the help files of your program for phrases
like "How to insert a link", "Inserting Raw HTML". If
you can find this, you're well on your way.
2) Contact the support team for the online website
builder you are using. They will be able to show you
how to insert a link or RAW HTML. If all else fails then
you can place your link on your Community Webpage. You
can find your link code by
clicking here and you can find instructions for how
to do this in this
Article.
