What makes your ad effective? Most successful marketers have a formula they use when advertising their products or services, it works well and has taken them to the level of success they desired. Now their formula does not necessarily apply to anyone's advertisements but the method used to develop their formula does. Confused? Let me explain!

Everyone can develop an advertising/marketing campaign that will determine their success, they just have to be dedicated and put in the amount of time necessary! This  means put aside the notion you will be an instant success or that you are guaranteed to succeed! It also means, like any business, if you put the time into really studying the information and feedback you receive you will have a measure of success that will be at the very least worth the time you have invested into it. It may not always be a monetary value, in some cases wisdom may be more valuable.

The best information I can give you is, never assume that your ad writing skills have no equal. Too many times I have seen someone place there ads and never go back to look at the data or information received (usually because there is little to look over), instead they wait for the sales to start piling up and cannot figure out why no one purchased anything!

Some suggestions for successful ad(s):

  • An effective ad will draw a viewers attention, your ad heading has to say something that will grab there attention.
  • Once the viewer is drawn to the ad, the ad body has to provide accurate information or have a special offer the viewer may want.
  • A rule of thumb is to make the ad information accurate to what you are offering  on your website and if you are making a special offer make sure it is special. You may be able to fool some by misleading them to your website, but most that are fooled will be turned off and if they get there and leave what will you gain?
  • If an ad is not drawing attention and bringing viewers to your website simply get rid of the ad or heavily edit it. For each day an ad is not bringing viewers is a day that another ad could be bringing them.
  • Any feedback you receive about your ad or website should be taken seriously and if the expressed concern is negative and could be perceived by others the same way, it is better to fix it then debate it.

Please remember there is a lot more information that you will receive from your advertising that can and will be used to make you even more successful. The more your ads evolve so will your business, you will have good, great, average and bad ads as part of your evolution but you can and will learn from each of these and with that wisdom you will have success.

Know the Purpose of the Event

First of all, when you're planning an online event, you need to have a good idea of what the purpose of your event is going to be. Make sure that you know the significance, the outcome that you want, and your goals for the event. Are you trying to promote sales or build contacts? Depending on the purpose, your planning for the event will be a bit different.

Decide How Many People to Invite

Of course you are going to want to figure out how many people to invite. Is this going to be an online event for anyone online, for those on your email list, or an event that is just for current customers? This is an important decision that you will have to make if you are going to be able to adequately plan your event online.

Set a Budget

It's important that you set a budget for your online event. More than likely it's going to cost you some money in some way. So, have a budget set aside that you can use for the event. Make sure that you stick to that budget, but have a little extra in case you suddenly need to pay for something else. Consider what you are willing to spend and how much revenue you may be able to gain back with the event.

Have a Date and Time

Make sure that you have a date and time for your online event and make it well known to the people that you are going to include in the event. You'll want to announce the date and time well in advance so people can plan on attending the event online.

Publicize the Event

Publicizing the event is important, even if you are not inviting the entire web audience. This is a great way to get more people to visit your website to see what you are doing. So, write up some press releases about your online business event and make sure that you get the word out for the best results.

10 High Powered Ways To Increase Your Traffic

1. Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.

2. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they'll be reminded to revisit your web site. They'll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.

3. Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room.
When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.

4. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions.
Include your business information and web address at the end of the article.

5. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away.
This'll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time.

6. Combine your products or services into one big package deal with other businesses offerings. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal; which means double the traffic.

7. Submit your freebie to the online directories that list your particular item or service for free. If you're offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine directories on the internet.

8. Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people's questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings.

9. Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it.

10. Post your ad on free advertising areas on the internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites, free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads, free yellow page directories, etc.

Common Technical Questions

I misspelled my User ID when I created it/I would rather create my User Id instead of using the number you gave me! Can I do this?

The database is set up and for security reasons we do not have the ability to change user names. The only option would be to re-register with us but you would be starting your account all over again as we cannot transfer information from one account to another so any information on your old account would be lost.

If you want to proceed with a new account by closing your current account we would need to know so we could disable the email address associated to this account to allow you to re-register with the same email.

Something to keep in mind! You are really the only one that sees and uses the User ID, so keep in that in mind  and is it really necessary to start over again!
