Barry Scott -Digest Editor

Drawing traffic to your website for sales is the basic premise of the marketing game and of course that is a given. Setting up ads and marketing plans to attract potential customers is a requirement for success, but what if in addition to this you added something that wasn't for sale that was placed on your website just for viewer interest or information? So now you would have two ad campaigns, one that offers your product and one that offers a free service that just happens to be on your sales site. This may not be directly related to your product, but the viewer looking at the free offer just might find interest in what you are selling.

Everyone likes free, it has to be legitimately free with no catches or gimmicks. It has to provide some sort of benefit, information or service that will draw the viewer to your site. If you have this offered and advertised as a separate campaign in addition to a normal sales marketing plan you would increase hits to your site and all the benefits to this increase in traffic are obvious. If it is really interesting, a word of mouth campaign could start and with it even more benefits.

Here are some suggestions that can be added daily; Top 10 News Stories, Sports Scores, Sports Stories or Daily Top 10 Lists. Free information (related or unrelated to your product), Trial versions or free e-documents can also be used. Two things you must remember, advertise these separately from your normal sales campaigns and make sure the free offer is legitimate and resist the urge to place a selling pitch.

People will always comeback to "free" if it is informative or serves some type of benefit to them and they will talk about it or pass the link along. For you to provide a free offer or benefit without attempting to sell will increase the traffic and bring in the occasional sale and your long term forecast will a continued rise of traffic and sales.

As always and feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below

Top 7 Benefits of Building a Website

By Gary Jamieson

Many of us have built a website. Whether it was for personal reasons, for music, for family or to create an income, we have made a home on the world wide web. Here is a list of the top 7 reasons to build a website.

7. There are proven concepts. You can search the internet to find the right ones for you. SEO (search engine optimization) is important for you to grasp as this will control where you are found in search engines.

6. There are many free marketing and learning services that are offered to anyone. Master courses that help you understand why 98% of small online businesses fail.

5. Affiliate programs are one of the best avenues for gaining website revenue. Many people earn a living with this alone.

4. Webmasters have a leg up for most people! Anything you have done wrong, or less than adequate on previous websites will be learned right. Run with a logical concept that explains step by step how and why costumers will visit your site.

3. Google offers more tools and assistance than any web host. They are the number 1 site on the planet, there are reasons for this.

2. You can promote yourself.... your business, your music, art, etc. The only way to have full control of your visitor potential is to create your own site.

1. To Generate an income. Find your passion, whether it be wrestling or the many trips you took to Cancun. There is more potential in creating your own website than there is of the endless work at home circles. You can earn income making a service site. If you are selling a service, it is best to eliminate the middle (eBay). You can also be an Infopreneur, relaying good quality information can earn you a monthly income.

I currently have 2 websites, the first I started in September 2008. This month I was offered $4500 for my genealogy site. I denied the offer because I have complete confidence that it was built to generate much more income. Here is how I did it.

How Can I Promote My Website For Free? The Sure Fire Marketing Method!

By Dominic Tay

Promoting your website is a skill every internet marketing expert knows just like the back of their hands. Why? Consider this - You take 2 days to build your website, write a fabulous salescopy and you launch it. One month pass and still no traffic. What can we do?

With the discovery of article marketing, you no longer need to pay to advertise your webpage. In fact, it requires nothing except lots of hard work and effort.

By now, you'd have already heard that article marketing is a powerful reliable method to drive free web traffic, increase search engine traffic and boost your search engine listing - all at once. Everything you've heard is right!

So how do we use article marketing to promote our website without money? Here are 2 steps you must follow...

Website Promotion Step #1: Creating Irresistible Articles

That's right. The first step is simply creating articles. But the trick here is not just to write, but to write an irresistible article - that is, articles with quality content that educates your readers and give them a potential solution.

I said 'potential' solution because the main aim of article marketing is to get these readers to visit your site. (and that's where you'll be selling your solution)

Give yourself 30 minutes to one hour to create an article.

Website Promotion Step #2: Article Promotion

In other words, you'll be submitting your articles to free article directories for them to be published. These directories must have healthy traffic volume and high ranking so that you could get highly targeted customers and back-links to your site, thereby improving your search engine listing.

Warning: This step can be real tedious and time consuming if you were to manually submit your articles to all the free article directories all by yourself.

And that's where article promotion software comes in. These software are created with features to submit your articles automatically.

Adlandpro Tips

Some detail into Adlandpro's products and services for the new or experienced user.

Common Technical Questions

I had purchased Traffic Exchange/Impression credits and they ran out and now it shows me as having negative credits, am I obligated to pay for those?

No. Our system for both the Traffic Exchange and the Impressions (Banner/Text) display will always overrun and produce a negative credit balance. The reason is that when the system is aware that you account is getting low on credits or you are at a level where it will get ready to stop, but it cannot account for the views that are in the queue as traffic to our site fluctuates on a daily basis.

So your Ad/Banner may be set up to run in the next few minutes and because we are dealing with 1000s of displays per hour the database cannot account for the credits that will be displayed in queue and will run regardless of the credit balance. Therefore the TE and Impressions will always run into the negative which works to the member's advantage as the member is not accountable for overdrawn credits.
