Editor's Comments
Barry Scott -Digest
Editor
I was in a conversation with a few friends, when one of them mentioned they could hardly wait for the economy to get back to normal. I started thinking about it and wondered, "What is a normal economy?" My friend of course was referring to a year and a half ago when things could not have been better, but I know that time and the current situation are not normal economic times. So it has to be in between the two, so how do we recognize it or know?
I imagine it is close to what we are going to be approaching for the next year. The positives and the negatives will seem to balance out, there will be the occasional layoffs and spot areas of job growth, nothing spectacular and nothing dire, in other words; some may say "boring". With that said and as we head into another shift of economic times you should be attempting to adjust with it. During this time period the individuals and companies that make the necessary adjustments will prosper and contribute to a once again growing economy.
What do you do? Look at your advertising and marketing strategies, do they require a complete altering or some fine tuning? When there is a swing in the market, remember the market is still there and what you are offering is still in need, but it may have relocated itself and you have to change with it or get left behind. For example, advertising with a general heading may not work as well anymore, people are looking for a direct approach, they want to find what they need and not have to look to hard, so offer what they are looking for more directly. In a good economy people feel more relaxed and feel they have more time, the opposite can be said for tougher economic times, they are still looking they just don’t feel they have as much time to do it.

7 Steps to a Sure-Fire Successful Work
at Home Business
By Matthew Renner
1. Build a relationship with your customers. Connecting with your prospective buyers is far more important than the work at home opportunity itself you are promoting or how your website looks (though those things are also important). Opt-in lists, free reports, and newsletters are all great ways of keeping in touch and building a long list of loyal followers. 2. Write a few articles every week all related to the content of your website, particularly using main keywords in the articles' titles and bodies relevant to your website. Most importantly, add a link to your work at home opportunity in each article's resource box.
3. Start a blog and post to it regularly. One thing you can do if you are stuck for ideas is to display the first couple paragraphs from an article and link back to the original article (one you have written, not someone else's). Of course, keep your blog relevant and centered around your website's theme.
4. Join social networks like MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter and find like-minded friends and a target audience. Some of your best customers think just like you, will be looking for more work at home opportunities, and whom are interested in the same things.

5. Post to free classified sites such as Craigslist,
Backpage, and AdlandPro. Think of a good headline to grab
one's attention. Keep in mind some of these have had to beef
up security against spammers (some do not even like work at
home programs as a general rule), so they can be very tricky
if you intend to post scores of ads. Nonetheless it can
bring in some of highest volumes of traffic if done
properly. 6. Join forums and discussion groups relating to
the theme of your website, posting and commenting using a
forum signature (which includes a link to your website).
7. If you do have money to spare, start a pay-per-click
campaign. Choose a seed keyword, find more variations of
that keyword, and then variations of those keywords, and
include the seed keyword in your ad title & its description.
Keep it relevant but catchy so that it will be clicked on.
All of these techniques can be used in promoting almost
any work at home program, direct sales program, MLM, or
affiliate program.

Affiliate
Marketing - What is That?
By Kelly Roy
Affiliate marketing is a good way to generate an extra income online. Once you have everything all set up and ready to launch, you can start earning revenue from your work. Affiliate marketing is when someone else pays you a commission, normally by percentage of what you sell for them. For example, a camera shop might pay you 10 percent on all sales that you make for them. That's how this works! If a company has made the decision that they would like some help selling their product, service or memberships. Or they just want to increase there revenues, they will then start an affiliate program. When this is done, they are asking others to sign up as an affiliate and help promote their products, services or memberships that they are offering. Those that sign up to the affiliate program have many ways that they may promote the offers, we'll get into this later. However, the company that's asking for the help selling their products, services or memberships will then give all of their affiliates a unique code that is embedded in their links, so that the company can see which affiliate has earned the commission for any sales that may be made.
There are so many different types of affiliate marketing programs. There are those that offer one time commissions off of a sale. Some of them may even offer lifetime commissions, and there are others that offer reoccurring commissions on monthly fees on memberships.
The types of affiliate programs that are offered to you is solely up to one person, would be the owner of that particular business. They also decide the percentage, or flat rate that they are willing to pay per sale. Then those that may be interested can sign up as one of their affiliates and help them increase their sales that you as the affiliate will collect your earned commission.
Those signing up for affiliate marketing to promote for other businesses can do this in different ways. They can promote the services, products or memberships on a website that is relevant to the affiliate programs that they signed up for or they can promote them on a blog, forum or even by creating and submitting articles. These are terrific ways to increase traffic to your affiliate programs and make sales. Some even use email and newsletter marketing as a way to promoting. Whichever way that you decide to choose is solely your choice.
Once you have decided which affiliate programs that you are willing to market, you will then need to be sure to read the rules to see the Dos and Don'ts for each program, because the chances are there will be slightly different.
Deciding which affiliate marketing programs that you want to go with is not a hard thing to do at all. Choose something that you may know about or something that you know will sell. The more passionate you are about the service, product or membership, the easier it will to be promote, as it will show through the way you promote it.
Affiliate marketing is something that anybody can earn an extra income from. Start out by reading a good eBook or more articles on this subject. Go to some affiliate sites and check them out. Learn from others; see what they have done to achieve what you are trying to accomplish.

Common Technical Questions
How do I place your Affiliate link on
my Website?
There are hundreds of types of web builder websites and
programs out there that it is impossible for our support
team to correctly walk anyone through this process step
by step. This is not something which can be determined
easily. Imagine this example:
A person calls a mechanic and says
"Where do I install sparkplugs in my car?" naturally,
the answer from the mechanic would be, "What kind of
car?" if the mechanic is unfamiliar with the make/model,
they cannot tell this person step by step how to put the
sparkplugs into their car.
The same is true for placing a link. It
is not difficult but requires some effort to complete.
Here is the best way to go about it:
1) Consult the help files of your
program for phrases like "How to insert a link",
"Inserting Raw HTML". If you can find this, you're well
on your way.
2) Contact the support team for the
online website builder you are using. They will be able
to show you how to insert a link or RAW HTML.

notifications or if we can help in anyway please
