Ten Tips to Create a Good Web Banner

By Surinder Sharma
Banner deign is a most important factor of any interactive advertising. A web banner should be both attractive and interesting. Let us see few tips in detail which would help us to create the good web banners.

1.Eye catching line
You need to spend lot of time to create the catchy line, if you are planning to have the copy of a corporate banner design, you should think something that would create the interest and would attract the viewers to click on banner. The line must be small phrase, few words also it must be visually appealing. Make sure that you are using the correct colors and fonts.

2.Good copy
Keep your copy short and simple. So spend lots of time in thinking that what will interest the viewers. The text should be practical and informative. It should go along the punch line.

3.Relevant picture and content
Ensure that the pictures and content used in the banner is relevant to product and services you offering in your website.

4.Include website URL and logo
It is desirable to use both the site address and logo in your banner as it will help you to create your corporate identity too.

6.File size
You should keep the file size of a banner to the minimum. A reason is very simple, as the banners are displayed on the top of the web, so they must be immediately loaded till the time visitor move to the next page. Studies have provided a fact that the visitors spend hardly ten seconds with the page, therefore the banner should display everything in this time.

7.Using flash
Banners which are developed in flash get the higher click through rates than the animated GIFs. Flash is actually a new area in web ad design and banner.

8.Blue text
Viewers understand the blue underlined text as a link. So if you have an idea that the banner is going to be displayed out in web page. With the white background than you should create the banner with the blue underlined.

9.Many banners for the single campaign
If you do not know your target audience than it is important that you should have 5 to 10 banners as the single banner would not be sufficient. Therefore you must keep rotating all the banners

10.Professional look
Ensure that your banners look professional. Images which you have used should be clear, they should not look blurred.

It's Time We Be a Social Media Success

By Ricky P
With the advent of the Internet era, there has been a redressing of consumer power, with shoppers now able to tap into a much wider choice of products and services than ever before. No longer does the audience stay mute and follow what the advertisers have to say. The consumer today has a voice, about everything he does, uses, or experiences, which he openly shares with the rest of his fellow consumers. But the real change the World Wide Web has brought about is that consumers can now exert full control in their buying options. An average consumer today would turn to the internet to take the final call in any decision that he makes, in other words, look for reassurance. What consumers want is the guarantee that they're getting the best product at the best possible price and that is exactly what the internet delivers to them - a confidence in their buying decision. Looking at a bigger picture here, the social media has clearly become one place which has made all of us to believe any and every stranger's opinion that comes our way.

And not just price comparison, the internet is fast becoming an enormous platform where people build or break the reputation of any brand with the click of a button. An opinion, when posted on the internet, spreads like wildfire all across the social media platforms which in turn forms a generalized opinion about anything or anyone. Such is the power of the World Wide Web today.

So, the question here is, Is the social media turning out to be the next best thing to reach out to the audience? The answer is yes! The constant involvement of the social media in our lives has made brand development and marketing take a whole new turn. We now have an incredible opportunity to know more about our best customers, what their likes and dislikes are, send out relevant information about our company and its products, engage with customers, and offer up our products and services to answer their needs. Be it blogging, face-booking or video uploading, social media has given us some scope to let our hair down a bit.

Neither do we have to be a David Ogilvy, nor do we need to spend a billion for our marketing strategies and advertising anymore. All we need to do is to turn the World Wide Web into an open comment box and then sit back and watch the magic. Figuratively speaking, the Social media spending in the U.S. will grow from US$ 716 million this year to more than US$ 3.1 billion by 2014, making it a 34 % compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Also, according to a recent survey, 71% of sales come from friend recommendations. Not witty advertising. Not catchy taglines.

In such a scenario, all we need is to do is "Listen, Learn and Engage". Keep our eyes and ears open to all that is happening at the social media platforms, and keep up with all the expectations attached with us - globally.

Adlandpro Tips

Some detail into Adlandpro's products and services for the new or experienced user.

Common Technical Questions

How can I use the IP address you provided in email messages sent to me because someone clicked on my ad and visited my website?

Although by using sophisticated tools you can determine many things based on the IP address (not the email address though) we provide the IP address for a few reasons:

Sometimes you will see the same IP address appearing in the email messages in a short period of time. This might mean that the same user is clicking for a repeat visit to your site or they can't connect to your site.

This can also be either your server is busy or down, the visitor's connection is slow, or there are some other network problems. You may want to check if there are any problems on your end.

Through various outside sources you can get basic location information such as city, state or country information that may be useful marketing information for your ad campaign.

If you have any questions regarding email notifications or if we can help in anyway please contact us.
