Use an Ad Check List!
An ad is effective based on many factors, where it is seen, by whom and a well written informative ad can be one of your most valuable assets. These ads can perform very well and for a long period of time if advertised in a relevant market. When you are putting your ad together use the checklist and tips below as this can be invaluable in your pursuit for success:
Checklist - your ads can and should include the following:
o appropriate category listing
o any sales or promotions expiry date or length of days/hours
o pricing, the more specific the better
o accurate details of what you are offering.
o no misleading or overly exaggerated phrases
o contact information
o Address or directions to location
Offering an excellent benefit in your headline.
Choose the main benefit of your product or service and feature it in a convincing headline. You can then strengthen this message in your ad body. Avoid using general or overused phrases for the benefits you are offering. This should get you started!
As always and feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below.
Sincerely, Barry Scott Editor

About Being 'Lucky'
By Alicia Forest
I'm a believer in creating your own luck (thus why I don't buy lottery tickets). Actually I don't usually use the word luck because I think it's too easy for people to use it as an excuse, and not in a positive way. I'll share something personal here - I bristle whenever someone says to me how 'lucky' I am to have such well-behaved kids. Don't get me wrong - I know how blessed I am (and those of you who know me or have been reading my ezine for awhile know this too) to have two happy, healthy, whole kids. No one is more grateful for that than I am. And yet, that comment (and similar ones) always comes across to me as if James and I had nothing to do with it, that it's the luck of the draw that we have well-behaved (most of the time) children. Are you kidding me?
It's the same thing in your business. I'm not 'lucky' to have a multiple 6-figure business. I created it, I earned it. And I did that by doing 4 things consistently:
1. Learning
I'm always learning something new or re-learning something I already knew. If you're not learning, you're not growing. If you're not growing, your business won't grow. The more you grow inside, the more successful your business will be. So whether I'm learning a new marketing tactic or studying 'divine success', I know that learning will ultimately show up in the success of my business and my life.
2. Implementing
Of course if you don't implement what you learn, what's the point? I implement more often than most, which shows up in my success. I've also learned to delegate much more to my team which means we collectively get a lot more done. My coach's request to you is to pick one thing you've been meaning to implement, either choose to do it yourself or decide who to delegate it to, pick a completion date and get it done!
3. Leveraging
You can't create a truly lucrative business without leveraging as much of your time and your talent as possible. One way I do this is via my '3+' rule. Whenever I'm trying to decide whether or not to implement something, I ask myself if I'll be able to use whatever it is I'm considering in three or more ways.

A simple example of this is writing articles about my area of expertise. When I first started out, we would publish the articles in my ezine, make them a blog post, and submit them to article directories. Now, we do those three things as well as post a podcast, submit that to podcast directories including my Artist's Page at iTunes, submit it to blog directories, and more.
4. Mentoring (with and to)
I've had at least one mentor since I was 13 years old. One of the many lessons I learned from him was that I didn't have to go it alone, that I could ask for help and be given it without strings attached. As I grew up, I've had different personal and professional mentors, which is why it's always an easy decision for me to make that investment, in both time and money, especially when it comes to my business.
And being a mentor to other women entrepreneurs is absolutely part of my path. It brings me great joy and allows me to give them the lift they need to go from where they are to where they want to be.
Which of these four resonates the most with you right now? Pick one and create your own luck by putting it into action right away.

Targeting the Right Market By Zeshan Momin
When it comes to marketing and advertising, Small Businesses are faced with seeming overwhelming tasks to attract customers. This is especially true of businesses where competition is fierce. The result of a poorly planned marketing and advertising campaign can be a lot of wasted dollars. This article is a part of a series of articles aimed at helping small business owners to build better marketing and advertising campaigns to attract the most customers (more bang for your buck).
The very first step all businesses (not just small businesses) have to do is to identify their target market. Identifying the target market can allow the small business to customize the campaign for the business' real customers. It is infinitely more profitable to reach out directly to ones customers than to try and take a shot in the dark by targeting a much larger number of potential customers.
When trying to identify the target market there are a few things to keep in mind:
1) What is the product or service you are selling?
Write down (or discuss) the product or service your business offers. While this step might seem redundant, it helps to visualize the product (or service) and the potential customer that would use it.
2) What industry is the business in?
It is good to start the process at a higher level. People are always surprised at the many niches within the parent industry they find. This helps to open up new segments of the population for your product or service.
3) What makes the product or service so special?
Why should someone use your product or service? What makes you stand out from other competitors? This step might seem something that comes after the target market is identified (in preparing the marketing campaign) but it is also very helpful in certain industries where the product or service meets a need that there are not many choices for. A good example of this would be a BMW car dealership (not many choices within that city and only a certain type of person would purchase a high end car).
4) To Whom do you want to sell your product or service to?
Arguably, the most important step. In fact many businesses go straight to this step. However, it is important to understand that the above steps would provide valuable insights in order to get the most out of this step. In this step you want to visualize the customer of your product/ service. With the information you have gained from the above steps you should have a pretty good profile of your target customer. Things like age, sex, wealth, height, weight, etc are all now clearer to you. The end result will not exactly be one value for each of these identifiers but a range. For example, you sell high end fitness equipment. Your target market would include both males and females, would be more affluent, and possibly younger than 60 (unless your products are meant for older people).
Using this information you can fine-tune your marketing and advertising efforts to focus on your target market.
Don't fall into the trap of thinking your products or services can be used by everyone. While we would all like to believe that, it is something that rarely happens.

Adlandpro Tips
Some detail into Adlandpro's products and services for the new or experienced
user. |

Common Technical Questions
What you mean by Keywords, what do
they do?
Keywords are words or short phrases that you would use
to assist the viewer in finding your ad when they are
searching the Adlandpro classifieds database.
For
example: if you were selling Telephone services you
would want to use keywords like; long distance,
cellular, mobile etc…
This will assist the viewer in finding your ads if they
are doing a search of the Classifieds and bring your ad
closer to the top of the search if they type in one or
two of your keywords related to your product or service.
This
something you can do by researching what are the common
keywords for your product. You can also ask family
members and friends "What word or phrase would they use
to find your business?" This will give you a start on
some effective keywords that you may not have thought of.
