Is it Too Early to Advertise for the Holidays?
We are just entering the beginning of the fall season, Halloween is just under two months away and I am talking about December's Holiday season. This is definitely the time to begin the campaign.
Now I am not saying you need to throw up the Snowman, Bells and Holiday wreath banners just yet, however there is nothing wrong with mentioning to the internet shoppers they can get a head start on the holidays and here is how you can help them. Some ad headings like "Get a Head Start on your Holiday Shopping", "Holiday Specials in September" can attract attention.
For the most part consumers have it in the back of their mind already and there are some that like to get a head start. Internet shoppers also want to make sure they are going to get delivery on time so they usually start looking and ordering early.
If you have some ads running in September they may be ordering in early October so why not get the jump on your competition?
As always and feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below.
Sincerely, Barry Scott Editor

The Flavor of Business - 10 Ways Ordinary People Can Start
Money
By
Vernice S Santos
Starting a business requires flexibility and perseverance. It also means taking the risk and rising above those who choose to play it safe with the tenacity to succeed. A simple smile can change impressions. A new fad may defy conventions.
These are the 10 Ways ordinary people can make money or start a business with little or no capital:
1. First, begin with your passion to start a business. Your passion fuels your production so you have to begin with something you love to do. Be indulgent about your products and remain focused. It is important to maintain the determination and enthusiasm to develop the business.
2. People first, profit second. Think of how your business can best serve others and your bottom line will take care of itself. Look out for trends and opportunities to capture a niche in the market.
3. Be creative. Be persuasive, give attention to details, be on the lookout for potential customers and attract them to buy your products.
4. Dare to ask yourself, "Why not?" Do not be afraid to pioneer something that has never been done before. Taking the risk is a part of a business. When you make mistake, admit it and learn from it but don't let it debilitate you. Move on and become a stronger and wiser person because of it.
5. Be impeccable with your word. Do what you say you will do and people will recognize you for your integrity. First impressions last so always try to impress your prospective clients and partners on what you can best offer.

6. Make principle-based decisions. Use your values and principles as compass points in making business decisions. Develop rigid standards and stick to them because the quality of the business depends on it. Make a personal approach and have charisma in dealing with customers, listening to what they want, making faster decisions, remaining simple despite competing with multinationals, ensuring high quality products, treating employees as family.
7. Be aggressive in advertising your business. Your business purpose should be about making lives of others better because you exist. People will soon notice.
8. Strive for balance in your life. You are the heart and soul of your business so take care of yourself.
9. Pray for wisdom. As a beginner, people depend on you to make wise decisions that will affect their lives. This great responsibility is a privilege so make God your source of wisdom. Have a strong faith-filled approach to life. This will be your reservoir of strength and support.
10. Use your intelligence to make a difference! Develop relationships with the community; take an active part in socio-economic activities and business organizations. Inspire everyone in your organization to use their intelligence to make a difference for each other, for the organization and for the country.

Tips For Small Business Networking Events
By
Michael Lemm
As a small business owner attending networking events should be part of your normal routine. Developing relationships with other business people can lead to partnering, mentoring, clients, and friendships. All of which can benefit your business as well as you personally.
Keep these simple tips in mind when you participate in a networking event...
Do not talk about only yourself
Do not push your services or products
Make sure to practice your elevator pitch
Be polite
Smile
Be professionally dressed
My biggest pet peeve is that so many people don't understand that networking is not selling!
Networking is about meeting people, exploring possibilities, perhaps getting to know people and their needs better. Yet so many are there only to sell, sell, sell. They could care less who you are or what your needs/interests are. They just want to push their products/services at you.
So some more tips are... be friendly & welcoming, ask more questions, talk about the other person more than yourself, if a sales pitch starts up, excuse yourself politely and move on.
Another pet peeve isn't necessarily what happens at networking events, but rather an outgrowth of it.
I usually end up with a fair amount of business cards, but despite my efforts to connect with these people after the event... many are non-responsive. I am left wondering why people went to an event if they had no intention of trying to establish new relationships.
It may be that some people are really only interested in what they can sell you or what you can do for THEM. So if they determine you aren't useful, they don't bother trying to get to know you.
Me, I enjoy meeting people. If I'm able to help them then I'm happy to do it; but I expect them to be engaged at the least. I go to networking events to network... not to have my time wasted by people who don't really care.
Modern networking is a marathon, not a sprint. It is about creating and building relationships with the people you meet.
I believe there isn't anything that can replace the benefits of in-person networking, and that is saying a lot because I am introverted and would rather stay behind my computer!
Where you network is as important as how you network; BNI is a more structured and results-oriented networking group... whereas Chambers of Commerce are informal and more about what your business brings to the community (money, jobs).
Whatever you do RELAX and be yourself. Don't fake it. Meet a new friend and grow an old friend.

Common Technical Questions
How can I use the viewer's IP address provided in the
email message I receive from Adlandpro when the a
viewer clicks on my ad on your website? I just want to send
them an email to thank them.
Responses to your advertisement are email messages sent
to you when visitors to our site click on the heading of
your ad. When this happens, our visitor is redirected to
your site. At the same time, a message is being sent to
you to notify you that a user has visited your site.
This helps you to analyze the effectiveness of your
advertising. Those messages act like simple hit counters
for your ad when you have no other sophisticated tools
to track your responses. There is no legitimate or moral
way to capture a visitors email address from there IP
address, simply because they have visited our site or
yours.
In some cases when the user who clicked on your ad is
our registered Adland Pro user, your confirmation email
will contain a link to contact this person.
If you have any questions
regarding email
notifications or if we can help in anyway please
contact us.
