• Well as you know SlideShare has come to Adlandpro or is it that we have gone to SlideShare lol? In many ways I have Chuck Bartok to thank for getting this started as I had noted a couple of posts that he had done on G+ about SlideShare and a seed was planted!
  
  With a bit of help I wanted to see what would happen if I created a presentation that was fun and hopefully engaging to see not only the response of others, but to also share the good times of Adlandpro and the stats have gone beyond my expectations. At the time of writing , the stats to We Love Bacon! are showing 2,857 views, 29 likes, 24 tweets and 10 Linkedin shares. This one presentation is showing on the front page of SlideShare and is listed hot on Facebook ( at this time) ;-)
  What lessons can we learn from these kinds of presentations and what can we learn about social media marketing when we share fun and something of value? I would love to hear your feedback as I feel we can learn from this one presentation and we can start talking about how to make these kinds of venues work for us when we are marketing.

• Bill Vanderbilt talked about on Adlanders in FaceBook, where he talked about Adlandpro and the different messages he receives, questioning why he would talk about topics other than business. As was said to him “whats that got to do with business people here on Adlandpro ?”
  
  While many people replied to his post, I would like to clear the air ( so to speak) and the position of Adlandpro. Yes Adlandpro is indeed a business site, but it is also a social network where people can talk about a variety of topics.
  Every social community offers options to engage others, like inviting to be friends, contacting and posting on their timelines. In addition to this you are also given ways to control who can contact you and also disable future contacts with a person who is not respecting your wishes like not to be sent offers in the future.
  
  We can’t tell people not to contact others when we offer a means to do that. If we disable such an options, then we will defeat the purpose of social community.
  
  So there has to be a balance.
  You can set your profile settings to be accessible only to friends or entirely private.
  You can block any person from further contacts by clicking “block this person” button below the message they contacted you with.
  You can make your forums only accessible to your friends or only invited individuals.
  You can set your forum that it doesn’t allow others to start new threads in it.
  Just to let you know I’m always open to suggestions if they can help with creating better experience here.
   

• Jim Allen has a great Scoop.it that I know many of you will like and suitably called Roadkill Marketing Cafe Insights and Foresights. Maybe grab a coffee and lets see what the Curmudgeon the Cares has to say today :-) . When we help our members by following and sharing, then we are also helping ourselves.

• As many of you are now aware, I have started to use SlideShare. I intend to be putting all of my Blueprint to success on SlideShare and its a work in progress.  There are 7 lessons posted there as of this moment.
