1. What is my Affiliate URL? |
Your affiliate URL is the site
address of the page on your website on which you have placed
your affiliate link code. Once this code is placed on your
website, you can then submit this url for approval. If the
link code has been placed properly, your registration will be
accepted. [Back To Top]

2. How
Do I Place a Link On My Website? |
Placing a link on your website is
not difficult but it does require some effort. Because there are
so many different website builder sites and programs out there,
it is impossible for our support team to show someone step by
step how to place a link on their website.
What you must do is determine how "Raw HTML" code can be copied
onto your website using the tools you have. If you are using a
website based builder (building your entire site online) then
you will have to contact the support team for that website and
ask about inserting "Raw HTML" code and how to do it.
If you are using a program or application to build your website
such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver, you can consult the help files
for the program to find out how to insert the HTML code.
Once you've found out how to do this, you simply copy our code
onto your site the way that you were instructed to do so by the
support team or the help files and you should have a valid
affiliate link. You can then submit this address to our system
for affiliate approval.
If you're really stuck, here are a few links that will help
you on your way.

|
4.Why
Was My Affiliate Link Rejected? |
There are any number of reasons why an affiliate URL may not be
approved. You should check your link by clicking it first
to see which of these situations (if any) may apply to you. Here are the main reasons:
- Submitting a URL which refers to Adlandpro
- The purpose of the program is to divert external
traffic into Adlandpro.com. If you are submitting a
URL which refers to Adlandpro.com (the URL you are typing
into the address bar starts with 'http://www.adlandpro.com')
then traffic is not coming from
outside the site and thus defeats the purpose of the
program.
Solution - See FAQ #11
by Clicking Here
- Incorrect Page Submitted - When you submit your
URL for approval, make sure that you are submitting the
actual page that the URL is on. If you only submit the
address without the page, our system won't find the link and
thus reject your link. Think of it like if you live in
an apartment and you wanted Fed-Ex to come pick up your
package but you only gave them the apartment block address
and not your apartment number, how would they find you?
The same idea applies here.
Solution - Go to your
website, find the page where the link is placed. When
you reach the page, copy what is in your address bar at the
top of your browser (the
http://... part) and submit that address to the system.
- Incorrect or Invalid User Linked - Make sure that
the code you used refers to YOUR userID. There is a
portion of the code which appears like "?ref=281002"
the portion after "ref=" must be your userID. If not,
this must be changed.
Solution - Make sure you
get the correct linking code from the Affiliate Area
under "Link Code"
- Submitting a non-English Character Set URL -
Because the vast majority of our user sites are in English,
affiliate sites must be in English or will not be accepted.
We do not have international subsidiaries at this time.
If your site was rejected, make sure the character set is
not in a different language. Sometimes there is a
different language used but the page still displays in
English. If this is the case, you may need to manually
submit your URL.
Solution - This is often
not a problem. Some site builders default to a
different character set. If you receive this error
when you submit, contact us and let us know the situation so
we can inspect your URL manually.
- Page Not Found - This is pretty self explanatory.
The page which you submitted is non-existent and our
automated system cannot access it. Make sure the URL
you submit is correct.
Solution - Double check
the URL you are submitting. Copy and paste it into
Internet Explorer and see if you get the same error and then
correct the URL.
- Time Outs - Sometimes servers will be down for
whatever reason and we understand that this happens from
time to time. When we get this error message on URLs
you submit, we try them once more the day after. If it
is still down, we suspect a greater issue is responsible and
thus remove the submission from the database.
Solution - This problem
has more to do with where you're hosting your website.
Check to make sure the page is up. If it is not, email
the hosting company or site and see if there is a problem
currently with their webservers.
- Link is Banned - There are a lot of websites out
there which use simulated clicks to divert traffic to
websites. We watch for these carefully on our
Affiliate Links. Make sure you are not using a site
which uses pop-unders, spiders, robots, or any other
auto-surfing technology to create activity on your Affiliate
URL. If your URL is repeatedly being rejected, this is
very likely the reason.
Solution - Chances are
if you receive this message, the site on which you are
hosting your website uses some form of a rotator or traffic
exchange which sends traffic to us that does not generate
any sales or commissions. To stay safe, don't submit
our link on a site with a rotator or traffic exchange.
There are other viable options you can take advantage of.
- Inappropriate Content
- We will not approve any
websites which link to, distribute, or is in any way
associated with Adult-Related or Pornographic material,
pirated software or copyrighted material, Questionable
Content, or any subject or theme which may be considered
offensive in nature.
Solution - Remove all
inappropriate content outlined above and re-submit.
Please note that our system only detects text. To our
system, "FREE Pornography!" and "Do Not Post Pornography"
will be seen the same way. If you are certain your
site does not contain adult material, contact us with the
URL and the details regarding the site and we will inspect
your URL manually.
Please ensure that when submitting an affiliate link that the
link is visible on the page, the page is accessible (ie: not in
a password protected area like a mailbox and such), and your
webserver is running.
Please email our support department if you have questions beyond
this document. [Back To Top]

6. My
Custom Page Says "Missing" But I Don't Know What To Put There |
Adlandpro affiliates have the
option of placing a separate page on their website which looks,
feels, and acts like AdlandPro. This is designed to look
as if you have your own classified advertising site on your
site. Because this type of affiliate link is much larger
and more complex to put together, we give you 5 credits for each
click through as opposed to only 3 for most other links.
You can find details about the custom page here:

7. How
Much Commission Do I Get? |
As a standard affiliate, you will earn 20% commissions on
each and every sale which results from your promotion of your
affiliate link. If you are a
Gold Member, you will earn
30% commissions for each sale.
|
8. When
and How Are Commissions Paid? |
In order to get a commission, you
must first meet or exceed $35.00 in affiliate commissions.
Once you get to that mark, your commissions will then be
processed and a notice of your commission amount will be sent as
a Paypal payment to the Paypal email you specified when you
registered to become an Adlandpro Affiliate. This is done
14 days after the month in which you met or exceeded $35.00 in
affiliate commissions.
If you do not claim this within 14 days, the payment request
is withdrawn, a check is made up for the same amount, and then
mailed out. Please note that checks can take upwards of 2
weeks to get to you depending on where in the world you live.

9. I

11.
What If My Website Does Not Allow Other Links On It? |
Many of our members have
reciprocating or duplicable websites which often do not allow
other links of any sort to be placed on them. If this is
the case with your website that you would like to use as an
affiliate website for Adlandpro, you can use one of these
alternatives instead.
- You can place your link on another website to which you
have modification rights to.
- You can place your link on your community web page by
copying your code and following these instructions here to
place it.
http://www.adlandpro.com/Opt-In-List/Archives/Community/8.htm#20
- You can sign up for a free webpage here:
http://www.myownweboffice.com/login.cfm?SignupSiteID=111
and then place your link on this webpage.

12. Why
Is My Affiliate Status Still Pending? |
Your affiliate status is still
pending because of several reasons:
- Your Adlandpro Affiliate link still has not been placed
on your website. If you do not know how to place a
link, you can
click here for some general information about
creating web links.
(See FAQ#11 above if you do not have a website of your own
for additional link placement options)
- Your affiliate link cannot be detected by our system.
Sometimes with certain methods of web page programming,
links can be hidden or pages can be hidden so that our
system cannot detect it. If this is the case, please
ask us to verify the link manually and we will.
- You are submitting a website which does not contain your
Adlandpro affiliate link.
|
13.
What URL Do I Put in the URL Field of the Affiliate Registration
Form? |
The primary requirement to becoming
and Adlandpro.com affiliate is to have placed your Adlandpro
affiliate link onto a website so that our system can verify that
it is up and correctly placed.
The URL link you would use to set up your account is the address
of the page on which the link discussed above has been placed.
So for example if you placed your affiliate link "http://www.adlandpro.com/default.asp?rep=affiliateid"
onto the page called links.html on the website
www.exampledomain.com,
then the url you would enter here would be
http://www.exampledomain.com/links.html
because your link is on that page.
