Dear Bogdan,
A few years ago I bought my very first computer. What a difference it made in
my life. I was able to visit faraway places from the comfort of my home. I
started chatting and then for fun started making personal webpages. The
ability to be online made a big difference in my life.
I have a disability which prevents me from leaving the home. I've been on
disability for several years now. I tried finding legitimate work at home
online without much success. My goal? To get off disability!
I am so very proud to say that I am now well on my way to that goal. I opened
my very own free lotto game. With the help of my local credit union (and the
collateral of my car <grin>) I was able to obtain a loan to purchase this
site.
For me it's the perfect job. I give away prizes to people and give the

Robert Olson here with a bit of bad news. It seems that a hacker got into my
freeyellow website. They had added a bunch of junk to one of my pages and
next thing I knew, freeyellow.com must have thought I was a hacker and I
have been denied access to the website or at least that is what I assume.
I have se up another site but only a couple people know it is back up. They
had tried to find my site through your success story page and emailed me to
find out what was wrong.
My 7th place will no doubt slip down until I can get things going again. I
had alot of people who are your newsletter subscribers who would like to
find my site again. Could you let them know what has happened and give them
my new url?

I loved your issue today Bogdan! (As usual - it is the first
one I read when it comes in my mailbox!) The guest article
on newsletters was right on target! It is definitely not
always easy to get those newsletters out the door on time,
is it? I'm sure many of you (especially you Bogdan!) can
relate to wishing you could just crawl into bed and do it
tomorrow? *smile*
Is it just me? Or is there a secret to getting into your
new forum, Bogdan? It asks for a user name and password and
I have no idea what mine is.

You can go to this page and see the actual coding that the author
used for a doorway page. The site also has a lot of great information
on positioning and I believe they will submit your site for you too.
The commercial things don't detract from this excellent sample of

this is another Internet hoax! I researched this very carefully
a couple of months ago when I first saw it and found that it was
definitely a hoax. Type Bill 602P into Excite's search
engine and it will come back with a list of articles about it,
including from the Post Office itself. Not saying we should
let down our guard! The gov will probably slip something by us
the minute we do *grin* But just check it out with one of the
hoax sites before we pass it on.
I also visited the logo submissions and was very impressed with
the quality. I visited Yelena Shabrova's site and want you to
know it is delightful! I really loved the way you have your
site laid out and how easy it was to navigate. Your art is
truly beautiful too! Keep up the great work, Yelena!

I have been half-pie following the gateway discussion in Adlanders and of
course want to add my 2 cents worth.
I notice most posts speak of Web Position Gold and I have heard it works
very well. I downloaded and tried it myself a couple of months back.
Man it took some work!! I made a couple of pages, but found it took a long
time and was very complicated and each time I thought "ahhhhh at last
finished " the page critique always threw more things at me to fiddle with.
Anyway I submitted the couple I had made and waited for the
results......which were disappointing. (Yes I know I needed to work on them
some more)
But I wanted LOTS of gateway pages for our Gift shopping site (and then
later the Beer In Mind site).As an example of what I was up against, just
some of the keywords/gateway pages gift ideas, birthday gifts, birthday
presents, baby gifts, Christmas gifts, jewelry, teddy bears, natural skin
care and so on and so forth.
It would have taken me a whole year to create all the gateways I wanted
using Web Position Gold. So I have to confess I gave up.
Anyway some time later I discovered www.searchpositioning.com
who do it for
you! Yahhh.
You join for a year and are able to very simply and easily make your gateway
pages on-line. Actually you fill in your information and THEY make them and
send them to you.( I LIKE easy peasy!!) And I can go back as often as I like
and have them make as many as I like for the year.
I have had some very good results with hotbot and lycos, getting some top
positions for a number of my keywords/gateway pages. The few Alta Vista ones
I have tried have also been very good. I have also had some good results for
the Beer In Mind site as well.
(Oh a by the by which I have found very interesting. The hotbot gateway
pages have also done very well for us with the inktomi yahoo searches!!)
The only thing is I have not been able to crack Excite and Infoseek using
searchpositioning. If you're really dedicated maybe a mix of search
positioning and Web Position Gold?

and not even lose any revenue being generated by the affiliate
program. (which I am about to do) - it is a win win situation.
I went to the above site re:"how to make money with re-Gen's" -
they said you simply CANNOT make money without them with a
regenerated website-that is just Not So. Not by a long shot!
Next-my hat went off to the Tonya getting listed 2 - 7 with alta-
vista. No small thing being listed number 2 and 7. The number 7
link however-doesn't work. When you *back it up*, it takes you to
a car web site in a language I've never seen before! ANyway-the
number 2 link works! yippee :}
Someone asked about -
Doorway pages (so long as they provide useful content) are Not
frowned upon by the SE-only spammy ones and a spammy page
won't keep it's listing spot for long anyway.
Someone asked about writing a doorway page. Here is a very
simple way to *figure them out* - find a high-listed one and read the
source code for it. Simply re-work it with your own keywords.
It's pretty simple. Write keywords first, include them in the title,
pepper them thru the text and voila! there you have it.
At least...it works for me :]

regenerated sites. Sites where the ONLY product you have to sell is the
site itself. It is NOT our opinion, it is a matter of FACT. Affiliate
programs are NOT regenerated MLM programs - big thin, affiliate programs are
FREE to join, where most regenerated site cost money!

--Sure, this does NOT apply to everyone. People with extensive knowledge of
marketing and the internet may have a good go at these programs. MOST

WHEN IT PAYS TO PAY- RealNames

We all know of great free services, software, and
"stuff" you can get on the 'Net. But this week I'm
focusing on Internet services worth paying for. Believe
me, there are some incredible bargains."
RealNames is an innovative service that helps your
prospects find you on the Internet in ways you probably
have not even realized were possible.
Let's say you sell Cat Toys and you have registered the
domain name kat-toys.com because cattoys.com,
cat-toys.com, and kattoys.com are taken.
Now, when people try to remember your domain name, it's
just too easy for them to make a typo, so your chances
of having them find you are less.
Then, when they go to a major search engine like
Altavista and type "Cat toys" you will be buried under
thousands of responses.
RealNames has created a workaround that makes it a lot
easier for people to find you and it's catching on
quickly.
Already, companies like Altavista, and Microsoft have
put their support behind it and I think for good
reason.
That's because For $100 US, you can now leapfrog
thousands and thousands of other sites in ways that are
simply not even available to anyone else. It doesn't
matter if you have a dot com, dot org or dot something
else. It doesn't matter if you have a slash in your
domain name or an .html extension. People can even type
your name (or keywords) into their Internet Explorer
browser and they will find you.
When you pay for the Realnames service, you receive
these benefits:
1. A Realname. This will include your company name and
a few keywords.
2. First page exposure on a few Search Engines.
Altavista and Infoseek are a couple of the the heavy
weights here.
3. When people type in your Realnames keywords *into
their Internet Explorer browser*, they are taken
directly to your site.
4. Inclusion in the publicly accessible Realnames
database which boasts 2 million hits a day.
5. Typically your search engine rankings with
participating Search Engines rises too.

and type in

2. Notice just above the usual results there is a
phrase that says:
"cebn - List of near matches related to cebn provided

Click that link and take a look.
3. Notice how not only is a link to my chosen CEBN page
listed, but also the phrase:
"CEBN Free Merchant Account"
That phrase is gold. Why?
4. Go back to Altavista and type in:
free merchant account
5. Scroll down past the first page results you will see
a link that says:
"free merchant account - List of near matches related
to free merchant account provided by RealNames."
6. Click on that link. Again a link to my subscription
service that teaches how to get online credit card
processing capabilities with no set up fees, regardless
of what country you live in - guaranteed.
7. Now, if you have Internet Explorer 5 and you type
free merchant account
into the url field you will also be taken to that link
again.
8. If you type in my complete Realname keyword phrase:
cebn free merchant account
into your Internet Explorer 5 browser you get taken
directly to my special page.
This is powerful stuff.
Here are a few things to be absolutely clear on before
you lay your money down:
1. RealNames has a no-refund policy. This is to
discourage people from signing up, selling a powerful
name, and then requesting a refund. They are very
helpful though, and will work with you to get a name
that reflects your Internet presence well.
2. You can only get names that are directly related to
your business. I tried to register "Free Merchant
Account" and they said that was too generic. So, we
settled on "CEBN Free Merchant Account".
Why this service is definitely worth paying for:
1. The FIRST person to grab a RealName owns it. Think
of the early days of .com names.
2. More than two million people use RealNames every

Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeders, a State
Policeman sees a car puttering along at 22 miles per hour. He thinks
to himself, "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!"
So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over. Approaching the
car, he notices that there are five old ladies - two in the front and
three in the back of the car - wide-eyed and white as ghosts.
The driver obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don`t
understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the
problem?"
"Ma`am," The officer replies, "you weren`t speeding, but you should
know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to
other drivers."
"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit
exactly -- twenty-two miles an hour" the old woman said proudly.
The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her
that "22" was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit
embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing
out her error.
"But before I let you go, Ma`am", the officer says, "I have to
ask...Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken and
they haven`t muttered a single peep this whole time."
"Oh, they`ll be all right in a minute, officer. We just got off Route
119."
