=================Success Story=====================
From:Cédric J. Andriamady

I am Cédric J. Andriamady.

What I will tell you cannot be considered as such a big success if you
do not love exiting ventures.

I am 23 and I am the third gay of a modest family in Antananarivo
Madagascar (here I am talking about modest in my country where
$1.00 =  Malagasy francs 6,800.00)

Few months ago, I started to be committed to network marketing. I
started to have my own web pages and promote them like every people
in network marketing. Here's the page I promote:
http://www.stormpages.com/cedric

My first problem was the fact that most of online investments
require credit cards and do not give you the alternative to pay by
check. And since I live in developing country like Madagascar, I cannot
have a credit card like 99% of people don't. So I started to look for a
program which gives possibility to pay by check. and finally I found it!!!

Here starts my success story!!
Now I am starting to earn hundreds of dollars a month and later on
thousands. But can you imagine that a VERY good household income in my
country is around $834.00 / month ($10,000.00 / year). That means you
can be ranked in the middle class if you make 1/6 of it.
Now, I am almost starting at the top income of my country and I am going
toward a BIG SUCCESS!!!

If you already make some big checks a month and yet you are not
satisfied, join venture with me!!!
Go to a country where the currency is low and most things are cheap!!
And if you choose Madagascar where you could watch eclipse in June with
YOUR wealth, I will be glad to welcome you!!! Make sure that you keep
your credit card with you and you will have access to it for your
network marketing.
To contact me, visit my site and send me a message in the feedback form.

Bogdan,

I think Jerome's article is right on the money.
Ebook are the ultimate in viral marketing. I've
been creating ebooks for my downline members
and I can see the difference it's making in their
efforts.

An ad is read and may or may not be acted on.
Ebooks are read over and over and if the information
is solid they get passed around so often that they
can take on a life of their own.

I wouldn't market without them.

That's interesting that you are talking about E-books.
I just published a book through www.1stbooks.con
The book is a book of "four Piano Sonatas for Piano."
It can be bought as a hard-cover book and as an E-book.
I am actually the first person to publish an E-book as music on 1stbooks

future.  I think it is nice that people are catching on to E-books^_^

Congratulations on your article on spam/govt. We need LESS govt
intrusion - the govt getting involved creates regulation -
(laws to break) - and only serves the govt - not the people.
Having said that there are a lot of people who like complaining
to govt about everything/anything. Pitty they don't start taking
control of their own actions - not relying on big brother. Its
amazing what one can learn from spam - even if its a pain sometimes.

Subject:In response to spam issue

Greetings, All!

Been reading the A.D. & the concerns presented about SPAM.

We get tons of it ourselves, but not as much now as we used to since we
inserted these three simple little characters several months ago into the
html code of our e-mail addresses on all of our web pages: %20

This is html code representing a space.  When a SPAM-Bot accesses your web
page & tries to harvest your e-mail address, the e-mail address that is
coded with %20 comes across as invalid to the SPAM-Bot; hence causing it to
IGNORE your e-mail address.  However, when your visitors click on it to send
you legitimate e-mail, it works perfectly with all the e-mail programs that
I have encountered to date.  It won't stop Spam completely because you
probably send out e-mails & leave your address at places where they can be
harvested, and also because of those who sit on the computer all day
browsing sites for addresses manually, but at least they won't be able to
use a SPAM-Bots to harvest it from YOUR site.

Here's the coding for anyone who wishes to implement it using our e-mail
address as an example:

<a href="mailto:%20questions@explode-web-traffic.com">Hyperlink text that
appears on browser goes here</a>

Hope this helps you out with your SPAM problems.

Happy Marketing,

===========C o n t i n u i n g D i s c u s s i o n (3.1)=============
From:Joyce Lampron
Subject:Freebonanza Guide Suggestions

Hello Bogdan,

One of the problems I have seen with the guide program
that I am cureently working with is spamming. Some
guides are submitting just about any kind of sites
they can find just so that they can make submissions.
Submission of mirror sites is one of the problems,
mirror sites means having the same site submitted to
the same topic more than once. I think you should
emphasize that quality Web sites should be submitted
to encourage visitors to Freebonanza that they will
find the best of what they are looking for.

I have found that these guide lines are helpful when
making Web site submissions.

Guide lines for a good site submission.

Use initial caps in titles. Exp: Free Tools for
Webmasters

Be objective in your summary. Avoid judgments like
"this is the best", "the greatest", "the most
popular", avoid exclamation marks (!)

Describe the features of the site - does it have news,
pictures, articles, a searchable database, etc.?

Spelling counts. Proofread your summaries.

Write a good Web site description in 250 characters or
less.

Start the description with a one-sentence overview of
the site's main purpose.
Concentrate on 2-3 key aspects of the site.
Mention something that makes the site unique or
exceptional.

How to evaluate sites. Criteria to use.

Look at five things when evaluating a Web site's
quality.

1. Content. The site should be interesting,
entertaining or informative.

2. Currency. Is the content current and frequently
updated? There are sites, however, that are no longer
updated and can be Very Good sites because of their
historical, archival or Web cultural icon
significance. If so, indicate this in your summary.
Originality. Does the site complement the existing
sites within that topic?

3. Originality is based on both a) originality of
content and b) originality of site design or enabling
interactivity

4. Usability. Is the site easy to use, have an
intelligible navigation structure and is it compatible
with the popular browsers?

5. Layout/Graphics. Look at the site's design and
aesthetics.

How to title a Web site.

There are a few things you need to know when entering
Web site titles.
1. Use the name of the site or company only, do not
add a description. Leave that for the description
field. For example, a site title might say: "Online
Paperclips - Tacks & Office Supplies". Use "Online
Paperclips" instead.

2. Edit a general title to indicate the source of the
page to help clarify the title. For example, a USA
Today page might be titled simply "Weather Page". Edit
the title to read "USA Today: Weather Page."

3. Each site title within the same topic should be
unique since duplicate titles confuse the user. In
order to avoid duplicate titles, include additional
information in the title such as the domain name,
newspaper or magazine name. Examples:
Salon Magazine: Britney Spears
FirstCut: Britney Spears

4.Avoid use of "A", "The", and "Welcome to" in the
beginning of a title, unless absolutely necessary.
Incorrect: The Computer digest Almanac
Correct: Computer Digest Almanac
And for proper titles, do the following: "Mummy, The"
or "Bug's Life, A".

I hope the above information will help everyone as much
as it has helped me.

Best Wishes To All,
Joyce Lampron

Subject:About Altrasearch ??

Hi Bogdan & Adland Members,

I have a question about Altrasearch and wondered if anyone has
had any experience with this company.

In September I joined up with this company because the concept
appeared to be a good one (you message is sent to everyone who
posts an ad, usually the number of recipients numbers around
5000).   I have decided to cancel this ongoing monthly
membership of $25.00 per month (translates into $40.00
Canadian), but have been VERY unsuccessful try to cancel.

I have written to the "support" link supplied and each time, my
message has bounced back to me saying the mailbox has reached
its capacity.  The owner never seems to answer his mail and it
is now turning out to be a disaster!  I also called my credit
card company to request they stop any further payments to this
company and they, in turn, told me I have to contact the
Merchant.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Nancy Ball

Hi Bogdan,

I have been receiving your great newsletter Adland Digest for
about 6 months now.

I think the best method of promoting is to publish a newsletter.
I created a such one..The newsletter will be targeted towards the
needs of non-native English speaking net entrepreneur.I am sure that
the project will be a great success because the market for that
group of netusers is more expanding than average.

Now I am looking for an editor who moderates the newsletter.

The benefits for the new moderator will be excellent.S/he can promote
his site intensely and will have brand awareness for his business.

The new editor don't need to have professional writing skills.
Required is plain English.

Being perfect in two other languages(Turkish and German)I need
honestly the writing capabilities from someone with motherlanguage
English.

I would be very grateful if you could put this appeal out for me..

(I will not be angry if you make some grammatical corrections
on this letter ;))

From:Andy Sparks
Subject: Advice from the list.

Hi Bogdan;

I have discovered as I read the Adland Digest, that there are some very nice
and very smart people here on the list, Yourself included.  I would like
their help and opinions on the following matter.

I am building a real estate web site with my own domain using the site build
it program.  http://www.sitesell.com/?967andy

I want to advertise my real estate listings and also sell advertising to
people that don't want to list with a broker, but would prefer to sell their
property own their own.  What I would like to do is similar to what You do
when you sell advertising on AdlandPro.  I would like the people to be able
to enter their ad, pay with plastic all from a web site.

I am going to start here in Southern Indiana and the Metro Louisville,KY
area.  If it works like I think it will, I want to go nationwide and then
worldwide, but I have to crawl before I walk.

The problems are two fold.  I am seriously undercapitalized (that is real
estate sales talk for broke) and I don't have a clue how to make it work.
What I do have is eleven years experience selling real estate, an
established place in the Southern Indiana Real Estate Market and All the
Members of the Adland Digest.  That should be enough.

It would be excellent if the members posted their comments to the list for
everyone's enlightenment, but they can email directly.

I light of the recent SPAM discussion, let me make it clear.  I am actively
seeking advice and business offers from the members of Adland Digest for
this subject only.  The members can send me emails that contain commercial
offers.  That doesn't extend to adding this address to a list.  This is my
personal and primary email address and I try to keep it as clear as
possible.   It is not a big issue, because if they send me too much, I will
just block them.

andysparks@owol.net

They can also send info via snail mail if they like.

Thanks and keep up the excellent job you do with Adland Digest.

Subject: http://www.thelosthaven.co.uk

Hi Adlanders.

Thank you for your kind comments on my site, of which I have read
carefully and also took note.

I have adjusted my very first page, and I have informed the visitor
of my site, in the way of a quick text guide. please check:
http://www.thelosthaven.co.uk

Also I am slightly baffled about the slow Graphics complaint, as I
made sure that all the graphics were web optimized. I am using Adobe
Photoshop 6 which has a built in Web optimizer. Every picture has had
this treatment.

I have viewed my site on other PCs and also the odd 486 computer, and
I could not find much problem with the pictures? It all seemed to load
pretty quick. Of course I don't know what software is being used by
people who surf my site so I can not make a comment directly on that
issue. I have just started to use a Web loading program which boosts
web connection a lot more faster:they can be found at
http://www.netsonic.com/index.asp

But please take another peek to see if the text guide helps you out any
more. Also please note, I have a great and varied life style, which
incorporates , Business, Music, and UFO research ( Hence the UFO pages)
, so bear this in mind when paying my site a visit!

Thanks once again Adlanders for your advice, it was much appreciated.
Can I say a big thank you to Tom Falco.

Best Regards to all,

Roy.

=====================Site Review Response  (1)===============
From:Rodney Favors
Subject:http://www.wisepros.com

Renee,
Nice site that loads quickly and smoothly and is easy on the eyes. Very nice
mouseover on the navigation buttons.  If the site was mine I would remove
the "awards" from the pages. They don't really add anything to the site - so
many awards are "awarded to anyone" (and I don't have the time or
inclination to find out which are and which aren't) that an award does not
add any credibility. If you are really proud of them you can put them all on
one page with an awards link from the home page. If they are something you
really don't want to move you might consider sizing them all the same size.
However, do they need to be on every page of the site? The safe shopping
site graphic is too small to read comfortably. It also looks kind of out of
place where it is - since you have nothing to order on the home page does it
really need to be there? I think it would serve just as well if it was only
on the order pages. You might want to consider moving your contact
information closer to your referral form so as to remove that big open white
space. I also think it would look better if your contact information was
centered. I think your e-mail graphic looks kind of strange where it is, it
disrupts the flow of squares, how about moving it above the free small biz
graphic? Hope this helps, Rodney

How to Use Other People's Money for Your Business
ByMatthew Lesko

"Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant."
- P.T. Barnum

John Ray, the famous 17th century author, was known to have
written the aphorism, "Money begets money."  In the business
world, I'm sure you've also heard the saying, "You've got to
have money to make money."

There are countless sources of cash, but by far, the best one to
utilize for your business is ... other people's money.

Perhaps one of the greatest "secrets" of the richest people in
the world is summed up in those 3 words:  Other People's Money -
OPM for short.     If you took a cross-section of the most
affluent business people, you'll find that the majority of them
launched their fortunes using OPM.  In the next few minutes, I
will show you how you can obtain other people's money for your
business.  What you do with the money, however, is up to you -
but if I were you, I'd take P.T. Barnum's advice, and make money
your servant so that you, too, you can make your own fortune.

The use of other people's money has become such an ethical and
acceptable  mainstay in business because one can leverage other
people's money to your benefit.

For example, you can leverage borrowed money into high-yield
investment programs that could generate a return that would then
pay back your lender and line your pockets as well.  Or you can
leverage borrowed money into asset-producing or
income-generating real property.  Or you can simply borrow money
to start or grow your business.

The benefits to using OPM are obvious:  1)  When you use other
people's money, especially within the parameters of a
corporation, your debt is assigned to your business, and your
debtors can make no claims against your personal finances; and
2)  the infusion of cash allows you to have money to make money
for your business.

Of course, even with the proliferation of lending institutions
and venture capitalists, it is often difficult to obtain other
people's money.

Well, since Wall Street Journal has kindly called me a man who
"finds answers in unlikely places," I'm going to reveal an
unlikely place where you can obtain other people's money.  This
one is available to all, and yet very few ever take advantage of
it.  It's the federal government.

I've coined a phrase for this source of money:  I call it "other
taxpayers' money" - OTM for short.  The federal government has
millions of dollars of taxpayers' money allocated to funding
businesses like yours.

Here are a few great sources of OTM:

1)  If you want to get training and/or money to start your own
business, millions of dollars are available at www.sba.com.
They'll also show you how to find alternative sources of
financing, how to protect your invention, how to sell your idea,
how to license your product, how to write legal contracts, how
to sell overseas, and how to buy business equipment.

2)  If you want money to export and sell products to foreign
countries, you can obtain it from the Export-Import Bank of the
United States at www.exim.gov.  Or you can go to The Overseas
Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) at www.opic.gov.

3)  If you want to obtain government contracts, then access the
Procurement Assistance Offices online.  Here, you'll learn how
to draw up a business plan that'll get your business noticed.
They can match the product or service you're selling with the
appropriate agency, and then help you market to them more
effectively.  You can find these programs at www.dla.mil.

4)  If you need venture capital for a new or existing business,
then you need to go online and access the Small Business
Investment Company (SBIC).  These are privately-organized and
privately-managed investment firms that are licensed by the
Small Business Administration (SBA).  With their own capital and

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

Having been married ten years and still living in an apartment,
the wife would often complain about anything, as she was tired
of saving every penny to buy a "dream home".

Trying to placate her, the husband found a new apartment,
within their budget. However, after the first week, she began
complaining again.

"Joel," she said, "I don't like this place at all. There are no
curtains in the bathroom. The neighbors can see me every
time I take a bath."

"Don't worry." replied her husband. "If the neighbors do see
you, they'll buy curtains."
