One of my Internet friends, subscriber to this digest and frequent
contributor,
long affiliate of AdlandPro is now in the hospital due to stroke.
Marianne is doing O.K. but probably this health problem, will put her
out of business for some time.
I thought that except for praying for her we could do something more
earthly and help her by visiting her link which  she is adverting in this
edition and in next three issues.
She was promoting YALZER BROWSER!

This will  make her feel better.

One of the most revolutionary tools to come out of the internet marketing
gurus this year is going to be Site Build It! This tool automatically
optimizes your meta tags, keyword densities, etc. and leaves you to
concentrate on writing valuable content for your web pages.

While most of the other search engine optimizing tools concentrate on giving
each web page a high keyword relevancy, this one focuses on developing a
site theme, but at the same time optimizing each web page for a certain
keyword or  phrase. It is a tool that can work with the search engines and
not against them.

Re: How do you write an Ad

Debra,
Bottom Line: Keep it simple.
Focus the attention on the company name, product/service, and phone # /
website address.
Don't add graphics that clutter the ad. (this applies only if you are
running a display ad, of course)
A simple coffee cup graphic or your logo is enough.
Stick to 1 or 2 clean typestyles.
White space is always more effective than clutter.

Here's a very quick re-write of your copy (but you'll get the idea)
that gives it more punch - plus includes your company name.

Good Luck.

Major brands of Coffee - Cappuccino and Espresso, too.
Over 70 flavored coffees to help create your favorite brew.
Whole Bean, Ground, or Instant - and supplies from every line . . .
to help you make a perfect cup for that perfect COFFEE TIME.

Subject:How do you write an Ad

Hi Debra,

A better ad would be something like this:-

SUNBELT COFFEE TIME OF OHIO
Major Brands Including Espresso and Cappuccino
Over 70 flavors of Fine Brands
Whole-bean, ground and instant, etc
Do-it-yourself with our coffee-making machine.
www.sunbeltcoffee.net
sunbeltcoffee@mediaone.net
TOLL FREE ......

I took out the obsolete like "On the Web" as it's understood that your URL
is a website.  The words "for me and you" are kind of obsolete unless you
are expecting customers to buy you coffee too.  "Over 70 flavored coffees"
has been changed to "Over 70 flavors of Fine Brands" - again the "coffees"
is obsolete as you already have "coffee" in your first line.  I have moved
all your website address and contacts to the last line - people want to see
"benefits" before they decide to visit your website or to contact you.

There may be better ways to shorten your ad and with a punch but what I have
given you is only the basics of what I do everyday - the art of copywriting.

Hi Everyone,

Two of the BEST free website companies are Bigstep and CooleBiz. The
great thing about CooleBiz is that they don't advertise, and you can
make money by giving away free websites 10 levels deep! They do offer
the opportunity to upgrade for a fee; but you get a 5-page website for
free, which is more than enough for most people. Visit
http://www.coolebizfreewebsites.cjb.net

At http://www.bigstep.com, they also don't advertise, but they don't pay
for referrals. No matter: they have arguably the easiest and most
efficient tools for building a professional website. I built mine
there...feel free to visit http://www.GlobeNetBiz.com

This a long long

HOW IS THIS FREE Mr. DANIEL JON EDWARDS
"When you purchase an E-commerce Web Site through me, you qualify to earn
$100 or another E-commerce Website FREE for every ten referrals who purchase
from me. Earn as much as you like by continuing to refer persons to me."

Myself as a business person has more to do that find referrals just to keep
my site free.  When it says free that means I am free to build my site and
not worry about looking for referrals to keep me at the free site.

Free means to start building a business to make a income or profit and then
be able to move to a paying host or start paying a host Plus having someone
else worry about keep the site up while I make money.  I am on the internet
to make a profit selling a product that I believe in.  You have to
advertise, advertise and advertise to get into business and to say in
business and not trying to make more work for myself by trying to get
referrals.  I myself do not have time.

There are a lot of free site out there and with or without banners they are
still free.  They all have to make money one way or another.  Some have
referrals, some have banner, some have some type of restrictions, some you
most upload your pages by ftp (I hate that) and some have nothing.

Some free sites know that once a person has set up shop there and that they
will tell others.  They hope that when you use there free hosting services
and see what else they have and what you can have by paying that you will
buy into one of the other packages.

Safeshopper.com is where I have one of my site and they have Web Store
hosting, Coupon Creator, Unlimited products, Secure Shopping Carts, Tax
Calculator and Shipping Calculator..  You can be e-mailed when you get an
order or notified once you get to the site if you have an order all for
FREE.

Take a look at http://sunbeltcoffee.safeshopper.com/ .  There are no
referrals,  just start building.   Just my opinion.

Subject:Free Websites

Hi Bogdan,

Some of your readers seem to like the idea of free web sites.
Unfortunately, I think they're a waste of time.

Not only are there the obvious problems of pop-up windows and/or unwanted
banners, but they are hard to promote.

Some search engines ignore them or rank them badly, and even if they do rank
them OK, would you click on a link that reads something like
myfreesite.com/fred/hopeful.html?

The bottom line is that if you get a lot less traffic for the same amount of
work, is it really "free"?

By contrast, I believe that the nearest you'll get to a free site is by
getting quality.  Have a look at

http://buildit.sitesell.com/potent.html

You get such great tools included that you'll save hundreds of hours while
building a very successful site.  If your time is worth only $1 an hour,
these savings could well mean that this site is effectively free.  AND
you'll be liked by the search engines.

Cheers  :-)

Bogdan,

Just wanted to add my experiences with free vs. paid websites to your
discussions. I think I have tried them all....well perhaps nearly all...and
I definitely have an opinion on most. I will spare you the details of most,
but I must say that my choice by far is Eflash Technologies. You can build
a multi-media web site in minutes with their beautiful templates, and they
have just added full e-commerce capabilities. Yes, you pay to have the site
hosted, but the power of the built-in compensation plan offers an easy way
to off-set this cost, so instead of paying for it, you actually can have a
built-in additional income stream instead.
I have been very impressed with the company, and they are just really
getting rolling. I expect we will see much more from Eflash this year.
Also, if you have a non-profit organization, they pay the hosting fee for
you on their largest package. An offer that shows their dedication to the
community. I give them an a+!

Thanks for letting me share!

From:Christian Schneider
Subject:Spam issue again

Happy New Year Bogdan and Readers,

in the last issues I've read so many articles about the
Spam discussion. Now I wanted to add mine.

Since May 2000 I market different affiliate programs.

As main promotion resource I use a replicated web-site
network called Linkscout.

Up today I've build a team of over 120 members sponsored
myself and much more in the second, third and fourth
level.

I publish 2 daily short emails as LS Tips where I give
help and advice on how to market more successful and
where to promote free. The Newsletter gets published
2 weekly and it contains much more actual news.

Everytime a new member signs through mine or one of my
team partners sites, they get an offer to subscribe
LS Tips and LS Newsletter.

If they subscribe, I get a short notify about the
subscription. It contains name and emailaddress.

If they unsubscribe, I get only a notify about a new
signup, but no personal information.

Now, I felt save, I got their subscription and I uploaded
their name and emailaddress to an Autoresponder where I'd
installed the LS-Tips.

Each and every email had a remove instruction at the bottom.

It was great. The team grows and I had personally contact
with much of them.

Finally at 12/30/2000 one of the subscribers has send
a Spam Complaint to the host where the autoresponder
resides. An absolutely false complaint, because I never
send unwanted emails.

To safe themselves against shutdown, the host had to
delete all queues about Linkscout.

This destroyed completely my follow up history.

Up today I'm in trouble to get the subscriptions again.

My tip for all who market with follow up autoresponders.

Even if you got a subscription, BEFORE upload them to
any responder or email them directly, let them confirm
their subscription.

Each and every email should contain a "This is no spam ...
you get this message because you subscribed XYZ..." on
top of your email and each and every email should contain
clearly remove instructions.

Question: Does anyone where I can get the information,
which person has send this Spam Complaint?? Up today
I got no info from the host.

I whish you all great marketing results
Sincerely
Christian

In response to Emily regarding HotYellow:
I am wondering if you (or anyone else) have ever received any form of
payment from this company.  I have been with them for over 6 months and have
had numerous email advices of checks being "on the way" to me but as yet I
have not seen any.  I have also had total silence in response to my many
email queries sent to their various contact points and my sponsor.
As I originally joined for their "free" services I am not too concerned, but
it seems to me that they should not promise something they have no intention
of producing.  There is way too many charlatans in this business as it is
and their "free" services are more than enough reason to join.

Hi Bogdan,
We owe you an explanation following the fiasco that followed
our recent ad in your newsletter, and the subsequent letter from Mr.
McPherson. Well, what can we say? All we can do is hold our hands up and
apologise. We decided to completely revamp the site following our
acquisition of the rights to Neil Shearing's 'Internet Success Blueprint'.
Unfortunately it coincided with the exact day that the ad appeared . The
minute
that we were informed about the hitches my partner went to work overnight,
and early the next day blearily announced all was well again. Appalling
timing
I know, but hey, we all foul up sometimes. In fact we forwarded a free copy
of the 'Blueprint' to the guy who first told us.
Thankyou Mr. McPherson for your comments. They say bad publicity is better
than no publicity at all, but I'm not so sure! Anyway, go there now, and
download to your heart's content. All the best,

that is basic white background

Perhaps one or two may grab your attention. This is a good

There we are; one year of pouring my heart and soul into
words. I hope that you have enjoyed reading them as much as
I have had writing them. For those of you who may be just
starting out in marketing, I couldn't recommend a better way
to learn about Internet Marketing and Business (or any other
subject for that matter), than to research and write
articles. It is truly amazing how much more you pick up when
researching an article you are preparing to write. If I were
a doctor, my prescription for your Internet Business, would
be "research... research... research... write... write...
write"!

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

As a Delta Air Lines jet was flying over Arizona on a clear day,
the copilot was providing his passengers with a running
commentary about landmarks over the PA system.

"Coming up on the right, you can see the Meteor Crater, which
is a major tourist attraction in northern Arizona. It was formed
when a lump of nickel and iron, roughly 150 feet in diameter
and weighing 300,000 tons, struck the earth at about 40,000
miles an hour, scattering white-hot debris for miles in every
direction. The hole measures nearly a mile across and is 570
feet deep."

From the cabin, a passenger was heard to exclaim, "Wow! It
just missed the highway!"
