Greetings All

Welcome  150 new subscribers who joined list since last mailing.

                                   ----===(*)===-----

There is an incredible piece of technology which will increase traffic
to your site. You just offer  helpful tools for your visitors which
will be integrated with their browser and to that you attach your
logo. User of the browser with your utility will use the  extra tools
like form autofill, integration of all of your web email addresses
without going to each site, weather, dictionary, stock quotes,
search box and more. User of the browser will get addicted to
those utilities and will keep browser toolbar attached for ever to their
browser and your logo with link to your site and other links you want
to promote will appear next to it.

Check it out here to see what I'm talking about.

Again an incredible idea.

Hello to All,
I just read the message from Cédric Andriamady regarding autoresponders.
I have tried several but now I have found the best!
If every email you sent out had a stunning movie at the base
instead of a plain text signature, do you think people would
become curious enough to click on it for more information?
DOES YOUR AUTORESPONDER DO THIS?
Sends attachments in over 30 formats
Uses colored text, images, and movies
Earn you up to 50% 1st tier / 25% 2nd tier
Talks to your prospects? Mine does!

Brady, thanks for your positive review on my web site I have put a lot of
thought and effort in this www.ecarpetstains.com I have submitted my site to all
major search engines and YAHOO and others and I'm listed on all in the 1 or 2nd
page  2 Questions
1) should I continue on a monthly basis submitting my site to keep the listing
on top.
2) This question is I believe just as important. Search engines are I believe
just the beginning to marketing your site. To link and spend as much time as
possible  with as many of the thousand's of web sites that are similar to what
you specialize in exchanging banners etc.
Is their a way I can post  an article in the forum and describe what has
made my site a success in getting it listed properly .
thanks again for a great informational site Dave

Hi Ian....here are a couple unique, and free promotional Ideas.

The first one is called linkwars. When people signup, they automatically get a
members website as their startpage everytime they start up their internet
connection. It's a new page everytime, so everyone has an equal chance to see
everyone else's site.
Really neat and fun to use
http://www.linkwars.com/index.php3?hop=alioops/canemedia

The second is called Bigbooster. It is an email list builder. It also allows you
to place up to 3 ads in the sidebar, which appear on everyone's page that signs
up under you. I signed up about 20 days ago, and have over 100 in my email
contact list, which also means that there is over 100 other people showing my ad
on their Bigbooster page. I have not been promoting it much, so most of my
growth is a result of upline spillover. 100% Free to join. No money to be made
with it, but excellent exposure.

Hope this is of some help to you Ian,

Hey Ian,

A wonderful place to post your opportunities is in ezines!   Search for ezines
that accept ads.  You will need to subscribe to them to be able to post to them.
You can post to many of them free, and some offer you to post at a cost, some
are minimal and some or more to get top ads.  Many of them, myself included,
also offer EASY contests to win top ad positions.  Ezine ads are great because
they get read by the targeted markets.

I post to a lot of ezines, and the response has been great!  Feel free to post
at my ezine.  I accept free, paid and swap ads.  See the website @
http://www.villageoftidbits.bigstep.com/ and visit Classifiedville, it covers
all the guidelines.

Don't just stop with me though, go to Adland and search for ezines that offer
free and paid ads.  You can also do a search on free ezines free ads.  Once you
join these ezines, you'll find in the ezine lists other ezines that accept those
ads too.  Since I swap ads with other ezines, I have those in my newsletter, and
you can click on their urls in the newsletters and join the other ezines.

I hope this helps and I wish you the best of success in your business endeavors!

In His Joy,
Seqkat

Hello Bogdan,

In reply to Krystine about Adplacing, her comments on Adplacing.com is answered
by the preceding articles in your Adland Digest 223#, including SFI articles,
you have to work at any program to make money, and the other article "Stop
looking for easy money"
I forgot about the $49.50-$59.50 joining fee, but the training material you are
given is as good if not better as some e-marketing books sold on the web. I
still refer to it now, for tips in Adplacing and my other programs on the web.So
for me that made up for the joining fee, and more.  I think this would mean only
people who are really keen would join and like me work hard to get the fee back.
All I can say is if you like job satisfaction and prepared to work at building a
good income, Adplacing is the program to join.

I'd like to make a comment about what Krystine Lewis said about Ad Placing.  It
seems to me what she said ties in what was said also in today's digest...don't
go for the easy money.  It takes time and work to make money at anything,
whether it's SFI or Adplacing.  Yes I work at it every day and put effort into
finding resources for advertising and getting other's attention.  If you just
put up a site and advertise for a month and wonder why you aren't making much
money...well you'll never make a success out of anything you try that way.

Yes it's true that Ad Placing will be increasing their price soon, but there
will be a lot of free tools that all members will be getting also. These tools
will include a free autoresponder and a free classified ad submitter.. so it
will balance out because the tools will help us promote our client ads more
efficiently.

Hi Bogdan,

I'd like to comment on H.M. Williams' and Krystine Lewis' post on
adplacing.com:

It sounded interesting, so I checked the website, Wow, they pay $1
per clickthrogh! Industry standard is  $.001 - .002, $.4 for highly
targeted lists. I don't think they could find anybody for that price, so
my opinion is that this is not the product! If this was the truth - they
wouldn't need the entry fee. More then likely the "product" is the entry
fee. Smells fishy to me!

Subject:SFI

Hi Bogdan

I read pretty much all the Adlands Digests that arrive in my box. I don't
usually respond to too many of the posts but I would like to respond to the
SFI post.

I have been a member of SFI since June of 2000. I was an affiliate of SFI
for about 3 months before I upgraded to member. The reason I joined is that
I was familiar with Gery Carson. I knew of him from a previous endeavor that
we were in several years ago (1992) . I also knew that where he is there is
money to be made. I met Gery in person for the first time when some folks in
South Carolina decided to have and SFI seminar. My wife and I attended, and
I am glad we did. Unfortunately I could only stay for one day of the 3 but
it was well worth the money for the seminar and for the trip. I have to
agree with the other posts I read regarding SFI. It is a good solid company,
with sound management, sound ideals and good products. I have received a
check every month since upgrading to member, my powerline has far in excess
of 1000 and the last time I checked I had over 50 upgrades. That doesn't
count those that I have received in my box in the last week or so and some
days that can be as many as 5 or 6 each day. I will be glad to help anyone
that is having trouble with SFI if I can to get there marketing efforts up
and going.  Thing is the tools are all there, you just need to use them.  I
knew I had very little time so I joined the Wildfire Co-op to help me market
it. There is also an Eagle Co-op that can help. The discussion board gives
you lots of ideas and support too. And there is a monthly newsletter as well
as the FCS thought for the Day. They can contact me at jgoodwin@zwallet.com

Hi,
I have a question or two about six figure income, I too joined as a free member
a few months ago. I am apparently in an active powerline, there are hundreds of
members under me that have upgraded. The question is even if every member under
me upgraded as long as all they are buying is the SFI mag. doesn't that just
mean $9.00 per month per person unless you are personally recruiting? I don't
see how anyone can make money with this unless they are either a great recruiter
or someone starts selling or buying the products they have available on the
site. I never see anyone advertise products with SFI though. This has kept me
from upgrading, I can't see spending $29.00 every month to make $9.00.
Thanks
Diane Hessin
p.s. I think the Adland digest is great. I am a newbie to internet marketing and

Hello Adlanders & Especially SFI affiliates and members,

Two Issues ago Steve Pronger recommended dropping out of your initial signup and
rejoining under a new powerline, namely his.
This practice is expressly forbidden and ground for removal from SFI. Further it
is not good business ethics. Mr. Pronger's item was forwarded to SFI management
and has by now been informed of the consequences. Further all of his recent
referrals will be checked for this illegal pattern.
I know how many of you in SFI feel, going through months without any results
whatsoever. You would love an easy answer, anyone who can build the income for
you. Who wouldn't? However SFI and the world in general just don't work that
way. If you don't put out any effort you won't get any results. There is no
magic Bullet. No pill or drink or mantra that will suddenly turn you into a
successful business person. You simply have to keep trying longer, harder,
faster and better than the competition.
After months of futility I am having success with SFI. How, you ask?
Although this sounds trite...think of it this way. If what you are doing isn't
working...do something else! Do something that others aren't. If that doesn't
work try something else. eventually you'll *discover* something that does work.
When you do keep doing it...and doing it and doing it.
I wish you all the best of luck.

Hi Adlanders.

Its me again. I need address on this issue SFI too.

Cedric, You are lucky because you recruited by those high hitter, a mover or
shaker in SFI. But many are not. Again SFI is not for one man show. Its very
much depend on the leader either they want to fed that powerline or ignore which
is bad. Leaders can't fed all the off shoot line. Like mine although my GL is
SFI
pioneer but I never get her referrals and neither is from my referrer. I build
by my
own & my powerline members/affiliates. Refer the previous issue on "Stop looking
for the easy money".

Valerie, take a very good look at SFI policy and there strict policy. If you
want to stay with any program don't violate its rules especially a legitimate
internet business like SFI. Few bad eggs can destroy a good basket of it.

Robert, good advice. SFI is not a Get-Rich-Quick although some members mislead
which I think mislead by high earner. Example like ..."earn $3,000 for working
20 min/day.." Those who found the niche place to ads and been long enough to
learn the tricks in getting leads it possible. But not the one just join couple
of hours.
I been with SFI since 8/00 but my commission still below $200.

Happy hunting.

surprises in my e-mail about new affiliates coming in and apparently, despite
the fact that I do a lot of "free classified ads" and opt-in list ads, on of
my biggest pullers seems to be my signature tags.  Don't underestimate the use
of signatures in drawing attention to your business, SFI or others!
Advertising at adland and other places is a good idea too!  Stick with it and

From:Patty Baldwin
Subject:I'm very sceptical now

Hello Edward,

So sorry to read that you've fallen victim to some
of the unsavory aspects of this wonderful world of
e-commerce.

Unfortunately, we all learn differently.  Here's an
excerpt from one of my web sites:

"Notice the keyword is "effort". Sorry, folks, but
there's no such thing as a free lunch! It's really a
shame, but the internet is fraught with fraud
(try saying that ten times in a row! :)"

The point is that just like offline, there are online
vultures who prey upon people.  Be wary of anything
that offers massive amounts of income for little or no
effort.  Nothing is free.  Repeat....nothing is free.
There is always a price tag.  It may not always be
money, it may be time, attention, response etc.

In the Better Business Bureau we coined the often
quoted phrase, "If it sounds too good to be true, it
probably is".

Now, having said all that, don't let yourself fall victim
to an even worse folly......quitting.  The only one who
ever loses, is the one who quits.

There are numerous honest, ethical and yes even
profitable business ventures online.  Just do your
homework.  Ask alot of questions.  If the owner/affiliate
can't or won't answer, it's a pretty good bet that isn't
someone you'd like to establish a long-term relationship
with.  This forum is an excellent place to get your
questions answered as well.

One other bit of advice.  Don't try and build a successful
business (online or offline) without expecting to invest
time and money.  Many years ago, Bill Gates operated
out of a garage in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Paraphrased,
he was ready to expand and was looking for investors and
tax advantages to growing locally.  The city fathers refused.
Need I say more?

Good luck and remember, never, never, never give up!

Warmly,

Patty Baldwin

Subject:I'm very sceptical now

Hi Bogdan,

The post from Edward hit home and I thought he and others might benefit from
this example I found.

Too many times people look at things the wrong way. Often, a slight change in
perception can make a huge difference in success. Everyone wants a few thousand
people to jump into their downlines and they are actually looking for the magic
plan to make it happen. What would happen if you sponsored JUST ONE person per
month, who each sponsored JUST ONE person per month and you had a "slowly"
growing organization of people who, no matter what, each of them at least
sponsored JUST ONE person each and every month?

Let's do a comparison:

Let's say there's another group that has a "heavy-hitter." Each and every month
this heavy-hitter sponsors 100 new people into his organization. The only
difference, though, is that this group relies completely on the heavy-hitter, so
even though he makes 100 sales every month, no one else in the organization is
making any sales. He's the "lone-sponsoring-ranger."

Group Each Sponsoring One A Month        Heavy Hitter Group
1st month: = 2 people                                 1st month: 100 people
2nd month: 4 people                                   2nd month: 200 people
3rd month: 8 people                                    3rd month: 300 people
4th month: 16 people                                  4th month: 400 people
5th month: 32 people                                  5th month: 500 people
6th month: 64 people                                  6th month: 600 people
7th month: 128 people                                7th month: 700 people
8th month: 256 people                                8th month: 800 people
9th month: 512 people                                 9th month: 900 people
10th month: 1,024 people                           10th month: 1,000 people
11th month: 2,048 people                            11th month: 1,100 people
12th month: 4,096 people                            12th month: 1,200 people
13th month: 8,192 people                            13th month: 1,300 people
14th month: 16,384 people                          14th month: 1,400 people
15th month: 32,768 people                          15th month: 1,500 people

For the first 9 months, it looks like the heavy-hitter is winning the sponsoring
game for his group. But, in the 10th month, the group that is
committed to JUST ONE per month catches and surpasses the heavy-hitter.

So, who would be the wiser? Would it be the people over in the heavy-hitter's
group, positioning personal non-productivity behind the heavy-hitter, in order
to rely on the heavy-hitter's spillover?

Or, would it be the wiser to be in a group that held a clear minimum monthly
production quota among themselves, even if it were a seemingly ridiculous "JUST
ONE" per month?

To Succeed you don't need to be a mega promoter, you don't need a massive
promotional budget, you definitely don't need to SPAM. If you can sponsor one
person a month and you can support your group to sponsor one person a month by
keeping in touch with them and teaching them what you do you can be successful

To Edward,
1stly in respect of being new to the internet marketing, do not worry, we all
have to start somewhere.
If you have joined any programs already your upline sponsors are the people to
contact re promoting the particular programs.
If you are just interested in keeping ahead of the "scams" try Edward
MacWhirter's ezine (newsletter) at webmaster@theinformationbrokers.com .  I have
found he is right on top of most of the scams and readily responds to queries.
Of course if you read ALL mail from Bogdan (AdlandPro) you should never have any
questions re scams as he will keep you in touch also.

As for other ideas on how to get a mailing list without being accused of "spam"
then you should join up "for FREE" to WorldiNetStar and actually READ the
maillers from their CEO Gregory Locke.  Greg is always willing to provide
information and quite happy for you to utilize his advertising 'quoted or not'
in your own ads.
You can get more info on WorldiNetStar by emailing me directly at
rikimath@yahoo.com .
Please include your full name and email addy in the body of the mail.  If you
wish me to sign you up, please include the words "count-me-in" in the subject
line.  The main website is currently locked whilst the self-replicating websites
are bing distributed, (2-3 days).

Thanks

Subject:More Free Traffic

Hi Bogdan

I have been receiving the digest now for some time.  The tips that other
subscribers give have been an absolute goldmine and have helped me a lot.  It is
a great shame when companies like HY98 do collapse, but that I supose is the
nature of the internet.  Only the strongest survive.  I have every sympathy for
those who had their sites set up on HY98 because of the amount of work involved
in not only creating them, but also the amount of work involved in promoting
which is now wasted.

The demise of HitHarvester recently was also a pity, more so because it was
caused by its own success.  I found it to be a great program for getting more
hits.  I now use http://www.Ezhits4u.com which works in very much the same way.
I would certainly recommend it to any readers who are looking to increase their
traffic.

Best wishes to you and all your readers.  Keep up the good work.

Alan

Hello Adlanders-

I enjoy reading everyone's comments, suggestions. I need a web page
my own domain but don't know what to sell. Seems like a link, banner
program (Worldprofit.com looks interesting) is the way to go but
online companies won't bother with links to a site unless looks
viable. Probably need to join a mall. Yahoo offers FREE web pages.
Suggestions GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Vivian Ellison

Subject:Best Affiliate Program

Hello,

I've been reading the newsletter for several weeks and have learned quite a lot.
Being new to internet business and ecommerce, I did what a lot of newcomers did
and signed up for a bunch of affiliate programs, FFA sites, etc. until I had to
set a side one evening to write all of them down in a spiral notebook!  Then,
the inevitable frustration set in.  I was receiving about 10 so called training
newsletters a day that purported to provide training but consisted entirely of
advertising fo r the publisher's programs so I unsubscribed from almost all of
them, this one being one of the few exceptions.

One of the very best affiliate programs I have found, with outstanding free
training, is Ken Envoy's 5 Pillar Program.  The FREE Affiliate Training Manual
is 220 pages long and is so good that I immediately purchased his book "Make
Your Site Sell" which is fantastic.  Check it out.

Subject:World Inetstar

I would like to ask a question about a completely unrelated company. The
company I would like to know about is World Inetstar. I joined this company
several months ago. It is the brainchild of one Gregory Locke.  The
"company" offers an awful lot of stuff.  Just go to the website and look.
The fee is 15.00 per month per "position" . The founder fills your box with
emails, and a lot of them are pretty interesting. Some of the emails seem to
just ramble, but even then make some sense.  I have promoted Inetstar for
awhile now. I haven't had much success with it. That of course is not their
fault. My computer was down for a while, had to buy a new hard drive.
Personal business has kept me from doing a lot of things that I wanted to.
Working a Full time job a part time job and running my personal training
business, means I don't get to do a lot of the things I would like to do. I
was just wondering if anyone reading this is also in and promoting Inetstar.
I was also wondering what they were doing to promote it and if that is
working.

Thanks for the Digest. It is great.

Subject:http://www.orientalgalleries.com

Dear adlander's,
I am in desperate need of a web-site review. It is a very specific
web-site and I think that is part of the problem. The site is used for selling
Oriental Antiques. It has been up for a couple of months and has only had 59
visitors (ouch, that hurts). I have tried classifieds, auctions, etc..
Anything that is free and I haven't had a sale yet (ouch, that really hurts).
I run this web-site for a friend of the family who is trying to be rid of the
antiques but, doesn't want to pay anything for the advertising if possible.
And I am at my wits end trying to promote it (I am sure there a people who can
relate to the feeling of running into a brick wall over and over again). Any,
and I mean any advice possible would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Michelle Kincaid

Hi Paul
I looked at your site and I think it's nice. There's a lot of neat info
on it. One critique I have of it though is the fact that my browser
shows the free classifieds and ezine info pages as having both grey text
and background, which doesn't show up too well. (Actually, I think it's
because grey is my default background. Many people probably have white
or some such, but it's safer to explicitly put your background in the HTML.)

From:Patty Baldwin
Subject:http://www.cajuncookingrecipes.com

Hi Peggy,

Wow, you sure do have alot on your site!  Looks like
you've worked very hard.

I have a couple of questions for you.

Judging by the name, cajuncookingrecipes, I'm
assuming that your primary product is food related,
right?  Perhaps it might be a good idea to bring that
primary focus up to the top of the page and move all
the unrelated links to a bar down the side.

Right under the first two paragraphs you're inviting
folks to leave by telling them "Before you leave, don't
forget to claim my thank-you gifts."

Oops, also got some mis-spelled words in there.

Are you using a free hosting service?  If so, is this why
there is such a large explanation at the top of the page
about having to click away?  The reason I ask is that
you\ve only got a few seconds to grab your viewer and
if you don't complete that task then they're gone forever!

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Good luck and much success!

Warmly,

Patty Baldwin

To: Bogdan and Colin,

This is a nice and informative site.  Moving from
page to page is very smooth and the site has a
consistent feel to it.  The only item that you might
consider attaching to it is a calculator to translate
the local income to either US dollars or British pounds.
Thanks for sharing

=====================Site Review Response  (4)===============
From:Brady.
Subject:http://www.cajuncookingrecipes.com

Dear Peggy,

I checked out your cajun cooking site and my first impression was good and
bad.
I liked the fact that you have navigating links for your site right at the
top of the page underneath your title.  That makes it easy for your viewers
to go directly to the area they desire.
The part I did not like very much was how zooey your main page is.  I was
confused by all the information because it is all text.  And you list one of
your products, then an advertisement, but it all looks like it runs
together.  A suggestion from me to fix that would be to use pictures or
graphics and maybe put some of the ads on other pages on your site.  Or just
get rid of some of your advertisements all together.  I know you don't want
to hear that because you are collecting commission from all those sites
probably, but you potential customer is weaving his/her way through a jungle
to find your product.  Most of your viewers probably get sidetracked to
another site before even getting the information you have presented for
them.
My advice, take it or leave it.
Good luck with your business!

From, Brady.

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

Joan, the town gossip and supervisor of the town's morals,
recently accused George, a local man, of being an alcoholic
because she saw his pickup truck parked outside the town's
only bar.

George stared at her for a moment, and said nothing.

Later that evening, he parked his pickup truck in front of her
house and left it there all night.
