Below article is re-print from GIM

Hello again and welcome to all new subscribers!

Sorry to start this newsletter on a depressing note, but yet
another dot-com company - AllAdvantage - has given up on
trying to succeed by paying people to look at banner ads as
they browse the Web.

A message on the company website states,
 "We are sad to
report that the major changes in the marketplace that
occurred during the last year now require that we close
the AllAdvantage Viewbar [a window that displayed banner
ads while users surfed] and our pay-to-surf, sweepstakes
  and other incentive programs.

Since our founding in 1999, the advertising and capital
markets have changed so fundamentally that it is now
impossible to continue our infomediary incentive programs
and benefits, including the Viewbar software."

But there is a bigger story here than just another dot-com
closing doors. AllAdvantage.com is not the first of the
pay-to-surf players to tank (LA-based mValue went out of
business in October), but their demise may signal rough
waves ahead for businesses very different from pay-to-surf.

Just a few months ago, when AllAdvantage quietly cut 35% of
its staff, they said the company would begin revamping
itself into a B2B play. According to that new plan,
AllAdvantage would focus on becoming a specialty ad rep firm
to sell banner space in software applications - similar to
what Radiate, EverAd, and Conducent are doing.

It took AllAdvantage less than three months to figure out
that idea was a no-go. Maybe I'm extrapolating too much, but
could it be that software application advertising is the
next business model to come under fire? Will these companies
be able to convince advertisers to seriously consider
software as an ad medium before they too run out of money?

=> As always, I love to hear from you!
=> Send your comments, questions, suggestions, and even
=> critiques to < patrick@linz1.net?Subject=128 >

Thanks!
Your striving Co-Editor,
Patrick Zell

=================Featured Post=================
From:Adrian Elman

 Hi Bogdan,

With reference to the various posts concerning FFA's
and other methods of getting your opportunities in
front of people, I would like to cover certain areas if
 I may.

It is true that the effectiveness of FFA's and classified
sites is more than questionable. I think we all know that
everyone is posting but nobody is reading, however it
won't matter how much we complain about the situation
 because it won't change anything.

The truth is, we are all looking for worthy methods of
advertising. I for one can testify that spending my money
with you on Adland Pro and Free Bonanza has been a
superb way of attracting traffic. I don't waste time with
low investments simply because this is a numbers game
and that's why I always buy 30,000 impressions for each
ad to include a banner. More recently I purchased 100,000
impressions with you purely because I know how effective
your site is in bringing me a consistent flow of genuinely
 interested parties.

Another of my favorites has been Links2U where as a
Gold member I am able to mail a full page ad to a list
of fresh opt-in subscribers. That is perhaps my most
effective source to date and consequently I think nothing
about spending AUD$750+ to use their targeted mailing
 service.

Links2U can be seen at http://www.links2u.com/?18020

All this said, there can be no doubt that the most effective
form of advertising is a mailing to your own contact list.
Ezine owners with reasonably sized subscriber bases
will no doubt bear me out on that statement.

Another issue that very few people understand where
contact bases are concerned is the genuine value of
the list. To clarify that, let me offer you this simple
 example:

Please imagine you have just opened a store filled with
toys but a few days later something unexpected happens
and you are forced to sell your store.

How much will it be worth?

Will you recover your initial investment or will the stock
now be worth less than you paid for it? And how about
 the fixtures and fittings?

Without putting too fine a point on it your store is worth
almost nothing and finding a buyer will be very tricky.

 Why is that?

It's because people are not interested in purchasing
start-ups. They want a going business with an established
client base. The store is valued fractionally on what it
sells but mostly on the "good will" aspect, in other words
its client base and annual turnover.

An ezine owner with a large subscriber base has a
very saleable item should he ever decide to retire.
Unfortunately, most people do not realize that and they
make the grave error of abandoning all the effort and
expense put into building their list. That's madness!

So what does this have to do with Adland's readership?

Each and every one of us needs to build our own opt-in
list but most have no idea where to start. But here's the
 good news...

A few days ago, a new system for building your list
was launched by the owners of Links2U and it's a
beauty! Using a forced 3x10 matrix people come into
your list at an unbelievable pace. Currently, my list is
increasing at an average of 11 per hour without having
to do very much at all.

An added bonus is the compensation plan offered
which pays AUD$10 (if qualified) per person that
joins the list in your matrix. A completed matrix will
contain some 88,000 people and there is no limit
as to how many matrices you may purchase.

If you built a subscriber list of that magnitude have
you any notion as to what it would be worth?

And while you are waiting for it to build you are
earning. If my list is increasing at the rate of 11
people per hour and each one is worth AUD$10
to me, try doing the math and decide if you want
 to have your own list.

Another plus point is that nobody can opt-out of
your list unless they resign from the program and
give up their income. Can you imagine someone
 wanting to do that?

There are minor qualification requirements of 4
referrals before you can begin to earn income.
You will earn up to $10 per head dependent on
how quickly you can refer your 4 people. Many
just purchase extra slots for friends and family
to lock in the $10 commissions but there is no
 obligation to do that.

I referred 4 in my first hour and ever since I have
been placing people under others to help them
earn money.  I am now helping Dario, an Italian
who lost his family, job, and wrote off his car. He
was close to ending it all when my wife showed
him this program. Today we will help him and then
 help the people under him.

If you are interested in getting more information
on how to build your own list while making an
 unheard of income, please visit:

 Thanks for your attention.

From:Rina Chen
Subject:Safe Lists

This is my response Edward Madison's.

First the safelists that you buy....

1)  How do these safelists seller get their lists and sell them to you?

Most of these safelist-owners get the email addresses of complete strangers from
forum/discussions boards to personals ads like those whose email addresses are
found openly at http://love.aol.com

2)  How do you know if the people on the safelists are "opt-in"?

You don't KNOW!  There is absolutely no way to know if the people on the
safelists are even agreeable to receiving your emails in the first place.  You
may even be accused of spamming because the safelist sellers who harvest or
compile the safelists have never had permission to sell their email addresses
in the first place.

If you have visited someone's site, and contacted the webmaster about some
mutual
co-op that you'd like to do with him. that is NOT spam.  But if you contact 3 to
20 times a day blasting the same message to him, then it is spam.

3)  How many people bought these "safe" lists and how many times do you think
people on the safelists are getting "offers, bargains, and opportunities" like
yours?

If you're one of those unlucky ones whose email address was sold for a profit
and without your permission, be ready for junk mail from people who buy
safelists without knowing or thinking about the above questions.

In the past, I have helped a few of my subscribers to promote their safelists
"business" (more like a scam/con), but now besides those who are affiliates of
postmasterdirect and yesmail.com, I have stopped allowing advertisements of such
in my newsletter.

Your best bet is to "cultivate" your own opt-in list of customers or people who
want to be updated about what you have to offer.  Offer a benefit and people
should have more reason to respond to your ad.

If you're afraid of getting ripped off by companies on the net, check with the
Better Business Bureau, or ask another fellow internet marketer (Bogdan's
subscribers are a great example!), or read up.
http://ww8.terrashare.com/freeweeklyezines.html has lots of newsletters
to keep you abreast of the news you want.
http://www.scambusters.com is also a good website that would update you on
fraudulent internet activities.

Newsletters from Briefme.com ALWAYS review good reading resources and some of
the websites reviewed in the past are those belonging to the internet experts
like Dr. Kevin Nunley and Dr. Ralph Wilson, Terry Dean, etc.  Reading is the key
to knowledge and building more confidence in your internet business.  That's why
you're reading this.  :-)

There must be numerous other of useful websites and newsletters that would help
you in your ambition and goals.  You just need to seek them out.

Sincerely,
Rina Chen

Hi,

In Adland Digest #233 N. Charron asked for a list of pay per click search
engines.

The simple answer is to visit http://www.payperclicksearchengines.com which
currently lists 60 engines. Most are US/International engines, a few for
Britain and a couple of speciality engines.

Right now I think it's the most comprehensive listing.

Hi Bogdan.

ThePayLine.com Questions that need answers

by Mike Hills. Editor www.DailyClassifieds.co.uk

Firstly it gives me no pleasure in writing this piece especially as I have
30,000 in my downline. But I have been doing some research, following a
subscribers question into www.ThePayLine.com.

Following this research I recommend that you DO NOT pay the $200 which will be
requested on the 15th February.

The reasons for this recommendation is.

The site was purchased by Richard Robles on the 23rd August 2000 and only paid
for, for one year only.

So I wrote to Richard Asking some questions.

Here are the questions and replies

1) The name www.thepayline.com was purchased on the 23 August 2000. just over 5
months ago and was only paid for, for one year. Why did you decide to only take
the name for one year.

-We own several domains... our systems team set up the site... they usually just
purchase the site and then continue to pay the annual fee.

2)What negotiations with the various airlines took place before that date. i.e.
length of discussions.

-We purchase large blocks of travel from different airlines, just like a cruise
company would, etc...

3) What links do you have with the various airlines.

-We strictly purchase bulk tickets and refer the ones we like.

4) What facilities do you have for booking a flight within America

-We currently have travel agencies that work directly for us in the states...

5) What facilities do you have for booking say a flight from Hamburg to Paris
i.e. outside the USA

-The same process exists for ticket bookings worldwide.

6) What facilities do you have for making all the necessary payments so far
45,000 per day.

-We have processed in excess of that amount with other companies.

7) Why is there no company info on your site.

-There is actually, but it is under the enrolment section. We also send nightly
e-mails to our members giving them updates. We will have a live CS center in
March.

8) Who are you and who is your team.

-My name is Richard Robles and we have a team of 14 others who handle everything
from datamanagement to marketing.

******************************************

As you can see Richard answers everything but with no real content in the
answers. Perhaps Richard thought he was running for President along with Bush
and Gore I don't know.

So I again wrote to Richard asking him to verify exactly what the domains and
companies were he referred to in answers 1 and 6.

The reply was

" Due to the fact that they are other prominent network marketing/mlm companies,
we prefer to keep them private... at least for now.

I hope you understand. "

After this reply I pointed out to Richard that if the other businesses were such
a success, as he has tried to make out, he should be proud of them, NOT hide
them away in a cupboard so no one can find them. To my mind that is NOT how you
build a successful business.

He then contacted me and said he wanted my assurance that if he gave me the
information requested, I would not pass it on. I gave Richard my assurance that
I would not pass on any state secrets. I just wanted to know if I could
recommend his company and program to my subscribers, and said at present I could
not do so.

I had a further e mail from Richard saying that he wished to speak to me and
could he phone me. When I said that I lived in the UK and the phone was an
answer phone. I have heard nothing since.

I have also written to him, now 4 times over the last 3 days saying that I am
going to print today, that the write up would not be favourable, and would he
like to make any further comments to put my mind at rest.

I even wrote to him today saying that I was going to print in 4 hours. It is now
well over 6 hours, and so far he has not even acknowledged my e mails.

My Recommendation as said is DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY WHEN REQUESTED. I know I won't
be paying.

I believe this company is farming e mail addresses at the very least, I have
just checked today 70,041 X $200 very nice $14,008,200. Who wants to be a
millionaire? ( hey give it to me instead, I could do with some loose change ( I
wish )

MAIN POINTS AGAIN.

1) Domain name only purchased for one year. Why would a company that wants to be
in business for years only pay for one year?

2) Why is there NO company background information? Although the address given to
NIC is the same as published.

3) Why has Richard Failed to answer my questions?

4) Why has he NOT contacted me to allay my fears. knowing I was going to write
this piece?

5) Why do all the company updates tell you to contact your sponsor for
information. Why not contact the company who is supposed to know more. DO YOU
really know everything there is about this business or did you just join on a
whim like me?

6) A single downline like this can only work on hype. i.e. get in very early
before you miss your place.

7) Why is nothing going to work until AFTER the 15th February AFTER you have
paid your $200. i.e. members area, support and the rest.

AT THE VERY LEAST YOU HAVE 11 DAYS TO CHECK THIS OUT

Write to Richard at rrobles@THEPAYLINE.COM ask him questions. you have the right
to know BEFORE you pay over your money.

Check the NIC register.

Go back and look at the site in detail

This site www.thepayline.com is ALL HYPE and no content. Just after I wrote to
Richard. I noticed that he Upped the

limit to more than $500 per day even more hype, and it's working. in the time it
has taken me to write this another 233 people have been sucked in.

WHERE IS ALL THE PAYOUT MONEY GOING TO COME FROM? You!

Just one last thing before I go. I have 30,000 people signed under me in this
program, and I am ducking out. They are getting NO money from me. Yes Ok I might
be losing $500 a day. but I haven't got $200 to gamble. HAVE YOU?

Thanks & Regards

===========C o n t i n u i n g D i s c u s s i o n (3.2)=============
From:Bill Reed
Subject:ThePayLine.com

Diane,
I signed up for Payline not long after it was put out
there. To date I believe there is over 70,000 under
me.

I stopped promoting Payline about a week ago, because
after a friend sent me a letter concerning a
conservation he had with the man who set Payline up, I
decided to go back and read the site very good again.

I believe I am correct in stating that Payline has no
contract with any airline at this time. They are also
very skimpy in the real information they give you.

The only time you will get any farther information
will be after you have sent your $200 to activate your
account, if you get any then.

The domain that Payline resides on was only purchased
for a term of 1 year. Don't sound like a long term
set-up to me.

Just close your eyes and picture a certain situation.
On or about Feb 15th they will be asking at least
100,000 people to send in $200 to activate their
accounts. Multiply that out if you will. Now just
suppose that about a week after all this money is sent

all of a sudden you hear nothing from Payline.

It has happened before, and it will happen again. One
thing that really made me back off is the fact that
they offer to pay you by PayPal or I believe EChecks,
but they will only accept the payment to them in the
form of a cashier check or money order. Strange isn't
it?

Last week I sent an Email to all that had joined
through me and advised them of my concerns, and
informed them that I would not be sending Payline the
$200 when it is requested. I also advised them that I
felt they really needed to study hard before they sent
any money. I may be sorry, but I do not think so.

This was a bit hard to do since I had promoted this
program to them, but I would rather admit I may have
made a mistake than to lead someone blindly into
giving away $200.

After all I hope to still be around here long after
Payline is gone.

With 70,000 in my down line and paying what $500 for
every 100 people under you??? Can't and won't be done.

The above is my feelings and I think it needed to be
shared.

Thanks Bogdan for the best news letter available
anywhere including mine. You are tops.

Subject:ThePayLine.com

Hi Fellow Adlanders;

This is the only ezine that I have really looked at lately, I get so many!
Great content and ideas here!

I am an Adland affiliate, with my site containing a complete AdlandPro
Classified Section at;

Quality Business Opportunities and Services
http://www.geocities.com/eee570/oppage1.html

The addition of the Classifieds has really helped with my site exposure, and
I hope to use more Adland services in the near future!  I am progressing as
a web page builder, but not satisfied!

I am responding to Dianes post, as I too have joined The Payline, and, I
have near 20,000 in my DL, in four days or so!

After sending out very excited emails last weekend, I received a "red flag"
post from one of my fellow list members on the Payline. It lead me to find
some interesting discussion, and outright blasts by the editor at;

The WorldWide Scam Network
http://www.worldwidescam.com/wwsbody.htm

I believe anyone looking into investing $200 on the launch date in eight
days, for the Payline, should read the articles posted by the editor and
some of our fellow net-workers.

I am also involved heavily in Going Platinum, and believe strongly that it
will change the internet, for the better;

http://www.geocities.com/eee570/gpletter.html

for all of us. Much like MCI changed long distance!

The editor at WWSN took some shots at GP, which took a different turn than
with the Payline.

Many of our fellow net-workers came out to support GP.  GP's president even
demanded a retraction of some "slanderous" material, which was, BTW removed!

The WWSN address is something that everyone should copy for future
reference.  There are so many programs coming down the pike.....

The Kiddie article really made me think about getting my kids involved in
net marketing.  It is fast becoming so important to all of us!

Best wishes and keep up the good work!

Ian

It's amazing all the ways there are to make money online.
Now here is one that allows you to make thousands of dollars - every day!-
and earn travel miles for air travel anywhere in the world.
All you have to commit is US$200.00 payable (a one time fee) by snail mail,
in the form of a cashiers check or money order only.
Does something smell funny?

Due diligence is winning - and the scams are losing...

Over 60,000 people have signed up to send in $200 each since last week and
The Payline.com has the potential of receiving over $12 million dollars
after 2/15/01 in cashier's checks and money orders. It has raised several
"Red Flags" in my opinion.
The Payline.com offers free air travel miles from legitimate domestic and
international airlines (so they say), plus, the opportunity to earn up to
$500+ per day as new members sign up.

We have made several inquiries and have determined that the president of The
Payline is Richard Robles. He states that his previous primary business has
been international investments. He also states that The Payline is a
non-U.S. corporation and the address listed on the website is someone they
have contracted with to issue checks, etc.

We physically checked out the address and discovered that it is a PostNet.
#121 is a mailbox only. The Payline website changed their address to reflect
US PMB 121 on 1/30/01 instead of a suite number.

The Payline.com requests that all membership fees be sent in the form of a
cashier's check or money order. How many legitimate companies ask you to
send in your membership fee with a cashier's check or money order?

When asked how the affiliated airlines shown on their website and repeated
on their information line #316-697-7722 can issue so many free air travel
miles to The Payline members, he replied in writing,

"The following airlines are recommended by The PayLine for their friendly
and efficient service. All logos are property of their respective owners and
do not indicate endorsement."

The closest we've gotten to an answer is that The Payline works with
numerous travel agencies. It makes a lot of sense for The Payline to update
a person daily to let them know how many free air miles they have earned (1
mile per each new sign-up) because people will think it is worth sending in
the $200 if they are getting all these miles in free air travel. The Payline
claims it takes 6000 free miles for a round trip ticket from NYC to LA. In
the few days we have been registered, we have supposedly earned over 32,000
in free air miles.

We talked with several travel agencies and they informed us that they don't
get involved with companies like The Payline because they are usually
running a scam.

The Payline.com also claims that they can pay up to $500 a day to activated
members who refer two additional activated members. They claim this is done
daily and they pay out 50% of what is brought in each day. As of today, if
they had to pay the 60,000 people enrolled after receiving $10 million,
those 60,000 people would receive one payment of $100 and unless more people
enrol and pay the membership fee, where does the $500 per day to each member
come from? It is a straight or linear downline which means that anyone who
enrols after you is included in your downline for payment.

Yesterday, we received an email from The Payline which stated they are
thinking of increasing the pay per day up to $2000. When asked how this was
possible the answer was that they are following a program that has been
proven successful and used by others. (Oooookaaaaaay...anyone specifically
and a formula?)

I would appreciate any information you might have to add. I am telling my
friends and family to stay away and keep their $200. If you know any of the
50,000 people who have signed up, please tell them to check it out further.

>>END Excerpt.

World Wide Scam message board for The Payline:
http://www.delphi.com/n/main.asp?webtag=wwsn&nav=messages&msg=1674.2

I find it quite interesting that the business is listed as a pyramid scheme
in the BBB.
And the numbers for earnings potential certainly don't add up, as the World
Wide Scam website will show you.
If you have a spare US$200.00, leave it in the bank, donate it to charity,
give it to a family member, do not join this program.
This is my opinion and you are welcome to it.
Any "true believers" out there to respond?

BTW - I cannot get to the "Going Platinum" website any longer to check on
updates... any comments? (This may have been a temporary web problem, we'll
keep trying in the coming days.)

Happy selling!

MMUHA,

I love UMS. I get paid on time and I have the
html files to create custom ebooks for my downline
and my Street Smart subscribers.

I also have plenty of material to study to help
research idea for my newsletter articles.

I also like the fact that unlike many mutlti-tiered
programs I only had to pay a one time fee and
made that back with my first week.

I've got over 50 downline members and not one
has complained about their decision to join, as
a matter of fact most can see the potential of
a program with an unlimited first level paying six
levels deep.

It makes it worth helping my downline because
whether a prospect signs up on my first level
or my sixth level I earn the same fee.

No matrixes break aways or any other complications.

From:Rob
Subject:iNetstar

Hi Bogdan,

Here I am again. No mails from me then 3 in 3!!

With regard to iNetstar. I am in an excellent position to comment as I am on the
top line of the matrix. I can also say this company PAYS. They have paid out
money in Pre-Launch. Not many companies manage that. You can see my cheques at
http://real-easy-cash.com/cheque.html Having been a subscriber to Gregs mails
for almost a year now I can fill people in a little on where he has come from.
He started an e-zine and promoted very successfully two opportunities. These two
opportunities then failed him. They did not pay him the money. He decided that
he could do it better himself and so iNetstar was born. The basic principle of
iNetstar is to provide for $15 a month the tools, resources and support to be
successful on the net. This includes free banner-less web-space, WYSIWYG
editors, advertising links and resources etc etc. iNetstar also offers the
opportunity to make some money as well. This is provided via a 3x9 matrix paying
$1 per person. But thats not all you also get a training allowance via a reverse
matrix. The matrix is 'read' backwards each week and the people who come in last
get paid. These reverse payments have been $00's. There will be other income
streams in the future via iNetstar.
YES the number of mails can seem a bit much but the guy opens himself up to his
subscribers and gives us all the ideas and processes that he uses to succeed so
that we can be successful also. He has also explained at every point any
difficulties.
iNetstar has had a lot of difficulties during this start-up process. They seem
to have hit every problem you can imagine from nobody taking responsibility for
the failure to register the URL to the server programmers and the programme
programmers arguing about whose fault it was that the self-replicating sites did
not work! These seem to be sorted now and I have my self-rep site
 http://www.world-inetstar.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi/main/rsewell9/index.html
In fact I have 30 self-rep sites because you earn another position in the matrix
for every 30 people placed under you. This provides spillover for the bottom
layers and more income streams for me.
Promoting iNetstar? The easiest method of promoting iNetstar is to offer a free
advert in the e-zine. This is only placed after the subscriber has been
subscribed for 30 days which gives you the chance to communicate with these
people and build a successful group. If you and your group can manage to sponsor
one person a month in a years time you would have an amazing income running into
$000's a month. Alternatively you can gather free adverts for iNetstar and leave
the 'selling' to Greg if that is how you wish to play it. I strongly suggest
keeping in touch with your people and helping and assisting them to promote. You
will learn from them also and then increase your effectiveness. I have provided
my downline with a site full of resources including a chat-room and message
board, you can too. The page I use for promotion is
http://real-easy-cash.com/iNetstar please feel free to copy it in any way you
choose.
If you wish to take advantage of the free advert offer please e-mail your name
and advert to free_ad_response@real-easy-cash.com I will stay in contact with
you if that is what you wish, I will help and assist you in any way that I can
and I will give you access to the resources and help available to the rest of my
group.

Yours together in internet success

I joined in January 2000 and upgraded to member in October 2000 and my first
check was $18 and I have sponsored not one person at that time. Being in an
active powerline is essential and mine is very active! My powerline leader is
very helpful and if you contact yours they might help you understand the comp
plan better. My check for December was $35 and I still have not sponsored 1
affiliate myself. There are 3593 people in my genealogy and 86 are members and
19 upgraded before the end of January. I am now awaiting the results of the new
structuring of the comp plan to see what my check will be for January commission
and will report the amount in the next digest from Bogdan! Diane don't be
discouraged yet because my situation in sfi is the perfect example of upgrading
and getting commissions for not sponsoring anyone personally! I too have a hard
time understanding the comp plan so I am waiting for my commission info for
January to tell me the real story! Thanks you and keep the digest going Bog!
Until next time! Good Day!

From:Steve Pronger
Subject:SFI

Re: SFI

Regarding David Weed's and Dar Thomas' posts.

Yes, I now know it is against SFIs rules to join an additional powerline. I was
NOT aware of this at the time I joined. It was NOT my intention to break the
rules or to encourage other members to do likewise. For that, I sincerely
apologise. I was not made aware of this by SFI but rather another member. As
soon as I was made aware of this issue I contacted SFI myself, cancelled my
second position, and then contacted my referrals to advised them to do the same.

I have been in my original powerline for about 3 months. During that time around
60 affiliates were added. Most were referred by the team leader, around 10 by
me. One other affiliate referred 2 affiliates. I had about 5 personal member
upgrades, but due to drop-outs, that now stands at 2. I was in the second
powerline (which, I might add, I was encouraged to join by one of those
drop-outs) for about 3 weeks. During that time over 2000 affiliates and 30
members were added. I referred 8 affiliates and 3 members. The team leader
brought in most of the referrals, but MANY other people brought in referrals as
well. Why? It was an active powerline. People could see that they weren't the
only one trying. They were motivated. Many upgraded.

SFI makes much of the Parent Powerline Bonus. Correct me if I'm wrong, David and
Dar, but the more members in your powerline the higher that bonus will be. Let
me ask you this; If you work for a company, and you feel that you are the only
one trying (apart from your manager), is it "poor business ethics" to want to
work for another company, or even another division within the same company? Is
it "poor business ethics" to encourage outsiders to join that new division?
Imagine if that company said to you "Sorry buddy, but leave and you can't work
in another division for 6 months" Would that happen in the real business world?
I think not. Yet, this is SFI's stated policy. I understand their desire to
protect the team leaders - you wouldn't want everyone jumping ship - but if the
team leader is doing his job, nobody would want to. But, why should those who
are having a go and NOT sharing in the bonus commissions enjoyed by those lucky
enough to pick the right powerline, be forced to wait 6 months before joining
another one? Sorry, but I can't see the sense in it!

I never said joining an active powerline was an easy ride, or that you should
let all the others do the work. To me, SFI is not one team but a collection of
teams. By SFI's own policy, the income you earn will very much depend on the
team you join. Just make sure you pick the right one.

Diane,

In answer to your question about SFI.  When you upgrade to member you will make
at the VERY least $9.00 per month.  You will also make $3.00 per month up to six
members below you that are NOT your referrals.  So, ANY six members below you,
you will make $3.00 per month.  In no time you will be making at least $17.00
per month off of NO efforts on your part.

You will make $10.00 per month off of EACH affiliate that upgrades to member
that YOU referred.  While you're waiting to acquire your members your monthly
membership fee  is brought down to $12.95 per month and is a great tax
deduction.

Why does SFI stop paying you after 6 members that aren't yours???  Because if
they didn't YOU would NOT contribute any effort to add affiliates to the
downline.  Why should you get paid tons of money, while one individual works
their fingers to the bones?  Then everybody else would be freeloading off the
others' efforts.  SFI is set up, so everyone can contribute fairly.  That's why
you the big bucks on YOUR referrals, to give you some incentive to contribute to
the downline, to keep everyone from freeloading.  You wouldn't work at an
ordinary job, and get paid for doing nothing while a fellow co-worker did all
the work would you???  SFI is NO different.

Hope this explains clearly SFI's truly fair business ethics.  This way they are
fair to everyone.  You would be highly mad, if you were the one doing all the
work in your downline, and everyone else sat back and rested and got paid tons
of money doing nothing.   Keep this in mind.  Your OWN online businesses, (with
SFI or anybody else) will require some work...these businesses are not
lotteries...they are ACTUAL businesses, and when ANYBODY goes in business for
themselves, they KNOW they have to work it!

Best of success to all your business endeavors.

In His Joy,
Seqkat

From:Kathleen VanBeekom
Subject:I'm looking for ideas

I've been publishing FreeCashHound Ezine for 6 weeks now and its going very
well for me and my subscribers,  approximately 500 of them that I've gained
from advertising at Adland, among other ad sources, and I also brought in
many of them from my be$topp$ opt-in list at Globe.

The difference between an opt-in list and an ezine is that more people
actually READ ezines, and the ezines are only SENT BY the publisher, not
thousands of people.

FreeCashHound subscribers can win up to 8 free ads daily from both the ezine
contest and the Solo ad contest.

FreeCashHound Solo's are very popular because I visit your site and think up
a question about it, then thats the contest for the subscribers:  They need
to visit your site & get the answer, then they can win free 2 free ezine ads
and 2 free on-site ads on 2 different sites.  (people can win a total of 6
ads from just 1 contest)  Right now the Solo ads only cost $5.

Internet marketing is a very fast-paced environment, we don't always have
time to read everything or visit other peoples sites.  But you may find
something you like, even if you're not interested in their business...maybe
you'll like the layout of the site, or the color scheme or the
graphics...something WILL catch your eye & make you think.  Possibly you'll
see something you don't like and you'll try not to do that with your own
site.  Can you find a couple of minutes to visit someone's site to win free
ads for yourself?

People who purchase paid ads send out these 2 impressions:
1. They have a belief in their business.
2. They can afford paid ads, possibly because their business is already
successful.

I offer very competitive paid ad rates,
a 1-year ad package only amounts to 51 cents daily and provides you with:
1 daily TopSponsor ezine ad for 365 days,
2 daily on-site ads for 365 days, (total of 730 ads if
you count an ad on 2 sites for each day of the year)
and a weekly solo with a contest to send people to
your site.  (52 solo's)
The subscribers need to answer a question about the Solo advertiser's site in
order to win free ads for themselves.  These will bring you great traffic
every week!
That all adds up to 1,147 advertisements for you through safe-email daily and
permanently on sites for an entire year with no effort to yourself!  You can
even request to change your ads at  anytime!
ALL for only $187.50!   That boils down to 16 cents per ad or 51 cents per
day!
(you get 1 ezine ad daily, plus posted on 2 sites, that's 3 daily ads, plus a
weekly solo)

FreeCashHound Ezine paid ad packages are much better than a paid submission
service or opt-in list, you don't need to post ads every day or send emails
every
day, I'll do it all for you for an entire year.  You can request to change
your ad at any time. My prices are low right now because I want new business
and I want to show you what actually READING an ezine can do for YOU!  The ad
costs probably won't stay this low forever!

You won't be getting tons of mail every day from hundreds of people, just a
few from me: the ezine, the solo ad, and a response-mail if you enter the
contests & send in free ads.  Even if you enter more than 1 contest daily,
I'll try to only send you 1
confirm email.  Its well worth your time to subscribe and read FreeCashHound,
considering the amount and diversity of ads you can win, up to 8 ads daily :
4 in the ezine and 2 posted on 2 sites, your ads will be linked to your site.

Subject:I'm wondering if thousands of other people aren't wondering also

Dear Adland,

I will call this an opinion/question.  Hopefully it follows the  guidelines for
inclusion.  I am a "newbie", or a slow learner,  that is I've been on the
Internet and trying to market for sometime, and with less success that I would
choose. I have my own product. Something I have produced that I am attempting to
distribute. I'm not aware of what a signature line is. It is to here be no more
than five lines.

Every time I post to and FFA or even if I purchase the right to place an ad, I
receive hundreds and hundreds of return offers to sign up for free or for a
small price and receive great sums of money in return.  I would love to be
"straightened out" on this, but I really don't believe these claims. Perhaps
better stated, if some people are receiving great rewards in doing this "sign up
and offer others to sign up, to offer others to sign up", thing they would have
to be in the vast minority.

This will perhaps turn into two questions. Initially my opinion is that this big
money return does not have the potential to became a reality for most people. My
question is, "Isn't that right, or have I missed something, or don't understand
something?" If that isn't right, then I will stand corrected and start signing
up in every place I can and hope that something works.

If what I think is  correct, as I believe, then I wonder what perpetuates it? I
have been on the Internet for only a little more than a year.  I see many people
claiming that they have been doing this for many years, every-once-in-awhile
mixed in is an ad pleading for help because some desperate person has been
joining everything for years and nothing ever happens for them.  I'm very
interested in the "truth" about this. I have been wondering bout it for some
time. I'm wondering if thousands of other people aren't wondering also?

Hello Dan,

You've got an interesting concept, in a very
competitive market.  I'm not certain how many
folks will spend $100 for a "do it yourself" site
when there are similar "free" programs out
there. I build five page basic sites for not a whole
lot more than you are offering for a do-it-yourself.
The concept of free lifetime hosting might carry the
ball, but hosting can be purchased so inexpensively,
just not sure, but I wish you success.

Now, a couple of comments and constructive
criticism on the site.  It took a long time to
load.  Could be because even though it's all
text, it's built as graphics.   Couldn't tell as you've
got view source blocked.  Because of that, don't
know if you've done your meta tags.  Judging by
the low number on your counter, you could
probably use some work on the tags and se
placement.  This should carry a very high click-thru
ratio.  I'd lose the counter until the numbers reflect
higher.

You really need to have some screenshots for
folks to actually see what it is that you're asking
them to fork over $100 for.  This could also account
for the low number on the counter.

Your initial page needs to be a real "sales" page.
There's nothing that really "grabs" and holds their
attention.  Some command lines could help as well
as a "free offer".

Hope this offers food for thought.  If I can help any
further, shoot me an email......I answer all of it :o)!

Hi Luke,

Is your intention to create an income
producing site?  Your site is interesting
and if the purpose is just to share your
information with friends of like mind, it
will do you well.

If, however, you are looking to generate
income with this site, you need alot of
work.  You could probably do fairly well
in niche marketing if you design a good
sales presentation, crisp graphics etc.

Your products are buried where no one
can find them.  Your site has good

got alot of studying to do or hire someone

The first observation I would make is that your home page does not sell -
instead, it advises on content, particularly the banner, logo, homepage
information etc which is well covered in the Web Design section, and is
information known by most people looking for such services anyway.

My first suggestion would be to select some key factors that differentiate Web
Space Station from competitors and deliver this as the primary marketing message
on the home page. High on the list to me would be your price advantage and I
would couple this with a "look at what we have done" and reinforce that location
is an advantage and not a barrier. Remember also that "cheaper" also often means
inferior in the perception of many so you need to pitch your message very
carefully.

Perhaps there are some negative perceptions that exist about Eastern European
location/services - poll this and find out, and at the same time, link to
profiles of your people, who have the expertise you are marketing.

The second suggestion that I have is to demonstrate the expertise you have
interactively, give some of your scripts and tools away - with the only cost
being (free and automatic) subscription to your newsletter or ezine - which
again, you can use to demonstrate your expert position in Web Design and
Software development. You could also develop some banner templates to give away
(with your link and credit unobtrusively inserted) - all of this would encourage
repeat visits and increase your linking etc.

I wish that I had the funds available to commission website development on two
domains that sit currently as concepts. When I do, be assured that I now know
where to go for my Design and Programming resource needs! In the meantime, if
you have any interest in exchange of services, I would be happy to discuss
further Marketing strategies with you.

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?
You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports,
she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and
dip coming.-Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God
decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck
with.-Kirsten, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
Camille, age 10

No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married.
Freddie,
age 6

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the
same kids.-Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids.-Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to getto know each
other.
Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough. Lynnette, age 8

On the first date, they just tell each other lies, and that usually gets
them interested enough to go for a second date.-Martin, age 10

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and
make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.-Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
When they're rich.-Pam, age 7

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
Curt, age 7

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and
have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.-Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?
I don't know which is better, but I'll tell you one thing. I'm never going
to have sex with my wife. I don't want to be all grossed out. Theodore, age 8

It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to
clean up after them.-Anita, age 9

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?
There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there? --Kelvin, age 8

"And the #1 Favorite is........"
HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK? Tell your wife that she looks pretty
even if
she looks like a truck. Ricky, age 10
