Greetings All

Welcome  250 new subscribers who joined list since last mailing.

                                    ----===(*)===-----

Welcome everybody to OLD Adland Digest. As per request of many
subscribers (quite a few who joined it about two years when it started),
we are returning to the old format which is  discussions about marketing
and promotion, publishing of interesting articles and success stories.

As many of you are aware, I have duplicated the original Adland Digest list
and informed you all in the last mailing. You were given option to remove
yourself from the second list which will  be discussions about money making
programs.
As of now  not more than 200 people removed themselves from the
second list.

I'm sure that this will make happy those who were annoyed by the latest
discussions about many making programs and at the same time I'm
offering option to discuss those programs in the second forum for those
who are interested.

You can remove yourself from either list and still get the other
one.

                                    ----===(*)===-----

Recently I received following testimonial.

<---
Bogdan...Thank you for the extra 1,000 credits! You have my business! I work
at WAL-MART and I know lots of people around the world! Guess what.....I will
be telling them about your Service! It's AWESOME!

Rob

---->

This was after I offered to Adland Digest subscribers doubling of impressions
if they use my offer by the deadline  and on top of that an extra 1000 credits
if they would let me know that they came from Adland Digest.

As you know, paying for advertising can't beat  personal testimonials
and word of mouth.

In short make your customers happy and  they will do advertising for you.

Thanks again Rob .

From:John Arthur

Hi Bogdan

I've been scanning through some of the correspondence about your newsletter and
would like to make a few points.

I work for my main income in the UK taking an adjustable bed to mainly elderly
or disabled people but although I am designated a salesman and I am usually top
man each month I believe it is because I focus on the customers needs for a
better quality of life, in fact I go so far as avoid anything that smacks of
selling.
All I can do is help them to make a wise buying decision and I take my chances
against the opposition who invariably are going in to hit "The Punter" whatever.

For those of us who try to develop an additional residual income via the
internet or not I think we need to adopt similar no pressure activity.

I've done my apprenticeship in seeking residual income from the biggest to all
sorts, too many of which ended up as real scams or were structured in such a way
that only the top 15% made real money with the other 85% being carried along by
the hype and sing song meetings and the like and turning over every few years as
they realise they are never going to make it and they are just being used to
distribute
products for the company at their own expense. As you can imagine I've lost too
much money on the way.
But probably worse I've used up my creditworthyness with my "personal lists".

Everyone has differing needs and your new change to split the newsletter content
may be a good one. What puzzles me is that you seem to keep adding new enquirers
every month and you obviously have a huge silent majority who still continue to
receive your info. Times do change interests of readers and up to a point you
have
to adapt to meet that change.

For my part I have to say your advertising impression services far exceed any I
have ever come across. Since January I have had a stream of enquiries to my ads
and the related banner you designed for me and this has at last given me some
hope that indeed a networking type business can be developed globally on the
internet as a very much part-time activity at time I can manage to get to the
computer
and to act on my behalf whilst I am asleep. Congratulations and try to find more
such
 ways for us.

I understand that the highest response rates on the internet are for adult sex
related sites followed by advertising/lead generation. As you don't deal with
the former expand as much as you can on the latter in bona fide ways and you
will see a massive increase in your readership as that is what the trend is
today.

I was interested to see the derision about free stuff and I would agree
generally there is no such thing as a free lunch but whatever is said it is
still a powerful marketing ploy which won't go away. As an example of a freebie
I have found as a useful benefit is a service suggested I believe by one of your
earlier contributors http://www.freeservers.com

I have little or no skills at web page building to promote my portfolio of
internet business but through the freeserver service I have within an hour or so
set up a basic referral web page as the signature line below shows.

If you publish this my thanks and I would suggest sending you a poem or two to
consider posting as an alternative content item just ring the changes. You know
I reckon there a sifting market possibility for budding poets who would never
get published.

Best regards
John Arthur

I use bigstep myself for portal pages but I think you are making a mistake
buy not expanding your bigstep site into a much fuller site with more content
and if you check out the different types of extra pages you could ad to
your site you would end up with a website that goes beyond just being a
simple portal page this is more in line with what the search engines are looking
for - content and more than a single page portal. you will find that you can
keep your visitors longer at your site by offering email accounts - chat
boards - search engines - link sites - and this can all be done with the "make
a new custom page" - if you did not know? you could make 10 more custom
pages alone just for that one site and have your ad to your main program
on every one of those pages plus be offering content and reasons to come back -
it is the same type of thought as the auto responder -
the more people come back to a site the more times you have of selling
your program or product. It is a very nice looking site and much better
that I am able to do but here is one of my portal
bigstep sites:

I have a comment for Edward Mayo..
About the Webhosting topic.

I just wanted to tell him.. That all is not true in his post.. He basically said
that you get what you pay for on a free host etc.. I use a Free host. And have
for 3 years.. My website does VERY well. I own my own web design business. My
website is http://www.webcreations99.com  .. Take a look at my page counter, And
take a look at my work that I have done.. I have created over 120 sites or
more....

My free host webprovider.com is great.. I have a 100% up time.. 24 hour tech
email support. (not that I need it) And its been a very good site for me.. So
what I am trying to say is that all hosts are not what you were saying..
Webprovider does not take any new customers now.. I am lucky I got them when I
did. They are the best out there in my eyes..  Like someone said in one of these
posts.. You pay $300 dollars to a host. plus monthly payments.. And get the
benefits of $7.95... But with webprovider its not that way. I have a clean page,
with no pop ups, and I don't need to advertise them in any way.

Thanks

Subject:Webhosting

This is reply to Mr. Ed's opinion about Free Web Hosting...

He states:  "Free site hosting is for people who are not serious about being in
an online business.  But remember, free sites come with a price of their own:
very slow access time, slow site management (takes all day to create a decent
page), annoying banners that steal or distract your visitors, and a lot of
visitors that view the site as low end or not as a serious net business
cause they don't have "real" hosting.  It basically ends up being a
confidence issue in some respects...Free Site creation tools are very lacking
and will make you appear ... well I won't say it.  You will look like everyone
else or worse."

I have a free site with Bigstep and it does NOT take long to load at all, I can
update my site within minutes, hec I MADE my site within minutes, I can make a
page within minutes, I have NO annoying banners at all to distract my visitors
attention.  My site does NOT look like anybody else's for I have created my own
logo and I upload MY animated graphics from my computers.

I have had some people that have HTML sites, tell me they love my site, it looks
like I'm in top business, it's very neat and orderly for the links remain on the
left side with every page you visit that are within my sites.  These people have
shared intimidation of my site, not liking their limitations they have with
their site, because they don't know everything about HTML, thinking I'm paying
big bucks for mine because of the appearance.  And it is my pleasure to be able
to tell them my site is free, and very easy to work with and that they too, can
do their own!

Mr. Ed also stated:  "Html is very easy and is very user friendly in most
respects.   Sure it has limitations due to being and independent process
language, but it can be enjoyable if you like learning new things..."

Here Mr. Ed implies HTML is easy, and then says it has limitations because it's
an independent process language.  Contradiction of terms there.

Let me translate for you.  I do SGML which is the same thing as HTML except it's
not universal, it codes manuscripts to be internet ready for a certain company
and it is their own HTML language.  This is what I do for a living.  It took me
a little over a year to master SGML (and it does for everyone else that does
this job) and still at times something pops up that alludes me.  Not everybody
has a years' time or more to master HTML to have their site to be user friendly
to them, and for HTML to be user friendly you need to master it.  Believe me, I
know from SGML.

If you can copy and paste, if you can click on continue buttons, if you can
double click then you can make a very professional looking site, sporting your
unique personality with Bigstep.  Bigstep is VERY user friendly and after
learning SGML, I know just how HTML isn't very user friendly.  I can read a lot
of HTML because of what I've learned in SGML, but dealing it with daily to get
things to parse tells me, I don't want to fight with that at my own website.

I constantly receive compliments of my site.  I'm a person that loves cats and
have cats very neatly animating several pages.  I also have some other pet
pages, such as horses, birds, mice and lizards and dogs.  I have that species
very neatly animating their pages.  The response to this has been phenomenal.  I
have subscribers to my ezine email me and tell me their off to visit my village
yet again, for they know I update it often, and I do, because it SO EASY to
update it.

For those of you that wish to save your money and save your time from learning
HTML, you can do it!  Try Bigstep!  http://www.bigstep.com

In regards to the posting by Judie (included below)
I think if you sell these products and they do indeed work, I would strongly
suggest that you take a photo of someone who has used the product rather than
mislead the public into thinking the woman on your website had beautiful hair
as a result of your products.
Also, the person whose picture you choose could write a few words about how
they enjoy using your products and what results they have seen.

Hello Bogdan and fellow Readers.

First of all, I want to say that I have been a subscriber for only a couple of
months. It took me a few issues to figure out what the 'zine was about but I do
enjoy it now. I especially like the way your subscribers address each others
queries as though talking to long-time friends. Well, most of them anyway!

That being said, I do want to say that I enjoy the issues and will definitely
remain a subscriber. This is the only e-zine that delivers what it promises. So
far, some of the others I've tried are just big sales letters and I'm tired of
all that.
Good job, Bogdan!

I have been reading the digest for quite some time and I read every issue
top to bottom and check out 90% of the sites listed. I find it full of
helpful information.............but............the ongoing discussions and
debates about programs such as SickFigure Income, GoingPee and
VisaRetards is getting out of hand. Personally I thing that if people
want to bicker and debate and respond to each other about the
programs that they are involved in they should email each other.
Sure, it is great that you include a few postings and responses each week,
but dragging on for a few weeks almost makes me want to unsubscribe
too.............

Keep up the great work anyway.

Subject:What I like/dislike about Adland Digest

Dear Bogdan,
I think it is good you are splitting your digest. Have you ever considered a
forum where people could express their views and argue away and if no one else
wanted to read their arguments we wouldn't have to..
I've always liked your newsletter because It only comes out once a week. It was
always pretty well balanced.
The constant arguments about the pro's and cons of the different programs has
started to become too long and drawn out and annoying.
The site reviews I'm getting tired of because it's always the same people pretty
much doing the reviews. I think you ought to just instruct people that want site
reviews to send them directly to the people who are doing all the reviews.
Some of the people doing the reviews strike me as people that are kinda full of
themselves. Who are they, What are their credentials?
I had my site reviewed and got told basically to redo it, but yet have received
many emails from people that admired and liked my site.
Who do I listen to? Many ordinary people or one person who thinks he is
somebody, But has no credentials posted.
Well I went with the majority. I now am getting requests to add links to my
site. I'm looking for ordinary people to visit, not professional know it alls.
It is said that everything changes about every 6 months on Internet. What was a
great idea 6 months ago is now old stuff. Maybe you ought to get some new
fresher people to do the site reviews, but make them provide some credentials so
we know who they are.
Sorry if I insulted anyone.

Subject:Search Engine Ready and Marketing Your Site

<snip>
>From Normand:
Hello Bogdan & everybody, it's my first post, but been reading
the digest for awhile now. Have obtained a lot of good information & tips.
Wondering if anybody can tell me what's a good guideline for how often
can you submit to search engines & directories.
Wouldn't want them to think I'm spamming.
<snip>

__________________
Normand, this will depend on the search engine but a good rule of
thumb is once a month.  But I do want to add a caveat here.
Before you submit your website, make sure it is search engine
ready.  I've written two articles on this which have been used by
major ezines (those with over 400,000 subscribers).  One is
called "Gateway Pages My Patootie" and the other, "Seven Search
Engine Similarities" and can be found at http://www.agoodread.com
There are other useful articles on marketing also.

As to the question of by Sheila Lee "how do you market on the
Internet," this is easy.  And, you don't need to spend a dime --
just time.  Assuming you have a product or service of value do
the following:

1)  First, you build a site which is search engine ready, submit
it to as many search engines and directories as you can find.
This is now harder as a lot of them have gone to making you pay
just to "be reviewed" but there are plenty of niche directories
out there which will bring visitors.  You can use the major
search engines to find these directories.

2)  Truly analyze who your target market really is.  Again I have
an article which talks about this called "Targeting Using A Mind
Map."  Once you have a target audience go to the sites where they
hang out and post to their message boards with useful information
and comments.  Usually they will allow you to put your URL.
Don't under any circumstances put up a blatant advertisement.
People WILL click over to your site from these posts plus it has
the added benefit of increasing your link popularity ratings when
the search engines spider their sites.

3)  With your target audience in mind,  go to yahoogroups.com or
topica.com and input some keywords to bring up lists that
interest your target market.  Look for a subscriber base that is
large and allows posting.  Something like we do here on Adland
Digest and subscribe.  But don't forget to click over to the
person's site who owns the list because they will normally have a
link page which will lead you to "like themed" sites.  Again,
look for message boards, etc on these other sites.  Pretty soon
you will just find yourself using these links instead of search
engines to find sites where you can market.

4)  Write informative articles (read that content rich with no
hype) and place them on your website and make it easy using an
autoresponder for people to download.  Make sure you have a
resource box on the bottom with a clickable link back to your
site.  Also submit the articles to the lists on yahoogroups and
topica which are expressly for this purpose.  Next, visit sites
which allow you to submit these articles on their site.  This
also increases your link popularity status because the sites
place your article on their web site.

4)  Correspond with the site owners who cater to your target
audience.  Offer them something they can use on their site.  I
built over 60 HTML pages of content rich articles (mine and other
authors) compiled them and offer it free to anybody who wants it.
They can put it up on their sites as a free download, offer it as
a bonus to their ezine subscribers and all I ask is they put up a
courtesy link back to my site.  The book is extremely useful and
most people love not having to do the work, yet can use it to
their advantage.  This is a win-win situation for all involved.
If you would like to read the informative articles in this ebook,
just click on this download link:

http://www.agoodread.com/NoHypeFreeEBook.exe

5)  Think of ways you can market offline.  Writing press releases
is one way.  Newspapers need filler and if you can think of a way
to incorporate your product or service into something newsworthy,
the free publicity will also bring you targeted customers.
Another method is to use your car as an advertisement.  There are
companies on the web which make removable vinyl signs for your
window or magnetic signs for your car.  Also leave your business
cards (with your .com address on it) anywhere you can.
Conveniently leave one or two on tables at dentist offices, at
telephone booths, in an airport, etc.

The idea behind marketing is to be consistent.  You can not do
this sporadically and expect to be a success on the Internet.  It
has to be a daily process.  Over time, you will build up a
critical mass (meaning people will start recommending your site)
and your marketing efforts will become easier because instead of
you contacting them, they will be contacting you.

I hope some of these ideas help,

Judith Tramayne-Barth

Buy this bait and catch tons of fish.  Similar? ? ?

Also I would like to add about how this adland digest has

From:Deirdre Jones
Subject:GoTo.com Price Increases

Well, here we go again.  Just when you thought that you had it locked down.
Okay, what exactly am I talking about? - the GoTo bid listings price increases,
of course.

When GoTo initially started the concept of bidding for keywords, this method was
highly touted as a way for the small business owner to compete.  If your
listings in the major search engines left something to be desired, then you
could turn to GoTo.  BAM!
  Instant Exposure...

Well, we should have known that it would not last for long.  When you place your
listings on GoTo, the idea is to bid higher for those keywords that are more
relevant to your site content and to bid lower on the keywords that are less
relevant and that are in less demand by consumers.  GoTo has a great search
suggestion tool that allows you to input a keyword and gives you similar terms
for
that keyword.  It also shows you how many times a particular keyword was
searched in their search engine for the previous month.  So, when you placed
your
bids, you could bid lower (as low as $.01) for less searched and less popular
keywords.

Well, now it has hit the fan.  I was a little surprised (not really) to get an
email from GoTo saying that now their minimum bid requirement is $.05 per
keyword.  Sooo, many of those great keywords that I am getting traffic from
currently at $.01-.02 will be increased to the minimum of $.05 per keyword.
I think that SUCKS.  But we all saw it coming, right?

Rest assured, if any of the keywords that you have listed are at less than the
minimum now, the price increase will not take effect until September, unless you
try to alter the bid amount.  Then that keyword will be subject to the $.05
minimum.  However, all new keywords that you add are subject to
the $.05 minimum.

Now, do not get me wrong.  The $.05 minimum is affordable, but this just does
something to the whole principle that GoTo was founded upon (and my advertising
budget - okay, so I am cheap).  Now that we have all seen it happen, you can be
sure that it will  not stop there.  Those price increases are coming in other
areas too.
It is becoming and will continue to become increasingly more difficult for the
small
business owner to compete online.  So you better "get in where you fit in" while
the getting is go od.  It may not be tomorrow and it may not be next week, but
it is
coming.  So I hope that we are all constantly thinking of new ways to grow our
small
and home businesses.  If you are not, you better be.

I would like to try setting up a gateway page, but my web

can actually hurt my placement.  Any advice out there.  I am not

Subject:Pay Per Click Search Engines

I have made the usual FFA and classified rounds.  Not to mention the click
thru-type visitation networks.  While the traffic comes, sign ups are low.  You
get what your paid for and free usually doesn't get you a lot.

I hear a lot of hype using pay per click search engines.  People say they have
received great results, but when the price you pay is also posted in your ad, I
think that would be detrimental to your marketing efforts.  Example:  If I am a
mean and vicious person, I will click on your .60 link just so you have to pay
for it.

I want pay per click search engines to stop posting the prices the customer has
paid.  It doesn't matter if it's .60 or .01, just rank them in the order of the
price they paid, but don't post the price.

I want to know if any of you have had any luck with the pay per click sites.  Do
you really see a rise in your signups using them?  If so, what sites have worked
the best for you?

Subject:Marketing  site inexpensively.

Hello everyone.  I am interested in finding out how everyone is
marketing their site inexpensively.  One idea we received recently
from an internet seminar we attended was to offer free items.  What
free items really draw customers to a site?  We're also looking to
create a survey so that when people visit our site, the survey will
automatically popup upon the visitor leaving and ideas of where we
can obtain this kind of survey?  Lastly we do have traffic to our
site, but have not generated the sales that we thought we would.
Please take a look at http://www.efi-warehouse.com and let me know
what you think about it.  Thanks ever so much.

I've noticed lately that some internet marketing analysts

or not to use banners in my promotion.

Nothing is Secret Anymore!" -- The Confessions of a Millionaire Information
Broker
By Matthew Lesko

Information is the currency of today's world.  Those who
control information are the most powerful people on the planet --
and the ones with the most bulging bank accounts.

The timely delivery of vital information is one of the most
lucrative businesses you can have in this new millennium.  I
should know.  I started one of the most successful information
brokerage businesses in the country.  I'm also perhaps the
world's most well known information broker, and I've made
millions of dollars from doing it, and I'm going to show you how
to easily do the same.

Let me backtrack a little bit.

All my life I wanted to start my own business.  I didn't care
what it was -- I just wanted to learn how to feed myself and not
work for someone else.  I even considered selling hot dogs on
the mall near the Washington Monument.  I just wanted to be my
own boss.  Sound familiar?

I had a string of failed businesses before I hit the big time.
It was while working as a computer administrator of a travel
company that I learned something that changed my whole life.

The hot shots that ran the company fascinated me.  They were
powerful individuals who discussed, negotiated and executed big
deals all the time.  In order to get in on some of that wheeling
and dealing, I'd hang around late at night when they had their
meetings, and volunteer to get coffee and doughnuts, do the
Xeroxing -- do anything to try to learn how to be like them.

One day, they came into my office and asked me -- not to get
coffee -- but to get information on how good or bad the rental
car business was.  It seems they were considering making a bid
to acquire Avis Rent-A-Car, and needed some good market
information to go along with the financial statements they were
poring over.  I, of course, said "Yes, yes, yes!"  I was their
"yes man," even though I knew nothing about the rental car
business and had no idea where I was going to get this
information.

Well, I wanted to do this so badly I could almost taste it.
This was one giant step up from coffee and Xeroxing that lucky
people are offered once in a lifetime, and I didn't want to blow
it.  I saw myself as a young turk on the way up the ladder of
success.  But I didn't have a clue where to go for the
information.

I sat in my little office wondering if I could make the grade.
I sat there staring at my desk hoping something would pop into
my head and give me the magic answer.  I stared at the telephone
and then picked it up thinking:

"Here I am in Washington D.C. needing to know about the rental
car business.  Who can I call?  Why not the government?  I pass
all those big buildings everyday on the way to work.  Maybe
someone there can help me."

Well, it worked!  By starting with the government information
operator, I was able to work my way through a dozen more calls
and referrals until I finally found an expert in the rental car
business.  It turned out to be a man who used to be the
president of Hertz and was now in Washington -- and bored out of
his mind with his government job.  He actually invited me to
lunch so he could tell me everything he knew.

I was shocked!

I couldn't believe that in 45 minutes on the telephone, I could
locate a real expert who was willing to tell me everything I
needed to know about the rental car business.  And, he even
wanted to take me to lunch!

Afterwards, I was so excited about the information I had just
received that I burst into a meeting my boss was having with his
hotshot merger and acquisition buddies.  He was eager to hear
everything I learned from my lunch right then and there.

They were blown away. They couldn't believe that a young turk
like me, who didn't know anyone, could get such information that
we had all assumed was privileged and confidential.

I got more excited about the information I dug up on the rental
car business than with any program I ever wrote for the company.
I knew then that information was power.  I also knew then that
there was immense value in delivering timely information on
demand.

I was hooked.  I started a new business obtaining information
for people on anything they needed.  I became a consultant to
people in the merger and acquisition business, and I got all the
information they needed to make their business a success --
information they were unable to find themselves.

This time, success finally happened.  The business grew from
just me, a telephone, and a desk in my one-bedroom apartment to
over 30 employees and a million and a half dollars in sales in a
little more than 3 years.  Even after a string of failing
businesses, I finally realized my first success, and I'll show
how you can do it, too.

How to Create Money Out of Thin Air

What I learned early on is that you can literally take
information that is free to obtain, but oftentimes hard for the
average person to find -- turn around and sell it for big bucks.
All it requires is a little resourcefulness, and the knowledge
of where to find the information that is sellable.

There's nothing to it.  These are the only things you need:

1)   Believe the notion that we live in an information society,
and if you're willing to make a few necessary calls (or
e-mails), you can gather information on almost anything -- and
make that information sellable.

2)   You need to know where to look for the information.
Although there are countless sources of information, if you do
nothing else but tap into the world's largest source of free
information, you can find virtually everything that you need.
That source is the U.S. Government.  [I've spent 25 years of my
life as an information broker, and I have yet to find a source
of information more comprehensive than the U.S. Government.]

Do you want to get an idea of just how vast the government's
information reserve is?

If you took all the major commercial publishers in the United
States, they collectively produce 50,000 new titles in all the
libraries and bookstores around the country in a single year.
In contrast, one single publisher in the government (the
National Technical Information Service) publishes over 100,000
titles a year.  Multiply that by the number of government
agencies that produce information, and the amount of information
becomes absolutely staggering!

The range of subjects on which you can find information is also
mind-boggling:  The government not only counts people, the
number of jelly beans manufactured in the country, toilets
installed, and how many potatoes grown; but also gives
investment trends and opportunities likely to show up in the
Wall Street Journal in weeks; it also answers any legal question
better than the highest paid lawyer.  There are 700,000
government experts in any field you can imagine, who will give
you free information simply because you asked.

How to Use the Information You Gather:

1)   Find customers who need, and are willing to pay for,
specialized information.  Position yourself as someone who knows
how to find information on practically everything, but do narrow
down the types of information you can get for your customers'
specific needs.  That way, you zero in with the precision of a
sharpshooter, instead of just firing a shotgun that goes in all
directions.

As an information broker, always remember what Willy Sutton said
when asked why he robbed banks.  He said, "Because that's where
the money is."  You need to live by the same slogan if you want
to stay in business.  Choose the path of least resistance.
Choose a customer base that consists of rich people or big
companies that have money to spend on finding out how they can
get richer -- and are willing and able to spend it.

2)   Gather specialized information that would be of great
interest to a specific business sector (example: Internet
marketers).  Position yourself as an expert on a particular
subject, then write in-depth special reports that feature the
specialized information you found, package them in an e-book,
and make them available to Internet marketers for a fee.  As an
alternative, you may also create a newsletter that regularly
updates the specialized information -- and make money on the paid
subscriptions.

More and more businesses are realizing the value of having good
information for good decision-making.  Whether big or small, a
business can't succeed today unless it keeps up on the latest
information.

What kind of information do businesses need?  They need
information on their markets, their competition, technology,
money sources and regulations, for starters.  Develop a
sensitivity to the needs of your prospects by asking them
directly what they need.  From that, you can determine the kind
of information that would best satisfy their needs.

Here's a useful tip:  You'd do well to develop a "hook."  A
"hook" is a marketing term that makes it easier for people to
purchase your services.  It's taking the situation I mentioned
earlier about "knowing how to find information about practically
anything" and refining it down to a specialty.  If you
specialize is some interesting aspect of the information
brokerage industry, it's easier to attract your prospects'
attention.

Define your niche by identifying the customer group that you
specialize in helping:  small businesses, or non-profit
organizations.  Or, you can define it by the area of information
you want to deal with, such as health information, company
information, or international information.  Another way you can
describe your business is by the medium of the information you
want to provide, such as:  only database searches, only document
retrieval, or only interviewing industry experts.

Mrs. Stone answered, "Well, he's a little behind with the pills,
