Subject:NoMoreHits

I Agree Colleen,

NoMoreHits is a good way to build brand name recognition and get guaranteed
hits. It is not a unique marketing method anymore but it's definitely worth
using. I have added it to my "click for click" marketing programs and eMarketing
for Success section of my website. I use tracker url's to verify my hits and am
very pleased with the results :)  I have utilized a strategy which multiplies my
"click for hits" efforts (which you can find here
http://www.echannel411.com/banners-and-more.html ) and have increased traffic to
my site as a result.

Some argue that You don't get quality hits but I disagree. If you have a
professional site with a good solid offer people will notice and some do sign up
or make purchases from these sites. What I find myself doing whenever I find an
offer or site I li ke is: 1) I right click on it and create a short cut to my
desktop so that I can continue with my "click for click" time. 2) Within the
next week I revisit that site to get a closer look at their offer and 3) Either
sign up, make a purchase, download a free ebook, or add the short cut to my
recycle bin (but at least they got my attention).

I know other surfers follow this pattern because I notice my hits increasing to
my website about two weeks after I started implementing my "click for click"
marketing tactic...so go ahead and give it a try and just for the fun of it
track your hit s.

Wishing You Success,

Ben Marroquin

--------------------------------------------------------------------
eChannel411.com
P.S. One of the best things about using tracker url's is that I can change which
WebPages will be displayed through my "click for click" programs by simply
modifying my url destination.

I also signed up for no more hits thinking it was a good idea. Now I am also not
so sure.
There are a few bugs in their system because I have seen my own page several
times.
I notified them about this and after 2 weeks so far have not even had my email
acknowledged.
Obviously customer service is not up to my standards. Oh well I guess we have to
take the attitude, "What do you expect for Free?"   It does make me wonder what
kind of service they provide to the people that pay for hits

From:John
Subject:NoMoreHits

Hi Vicki,
Seen your comments in Adland Digest
My name is John Younblood
I started out , was going to make my fame and fortune on the net
about 3 years ago.
After too many hours of working and learning and putting this page
and that one together, etc, etc.
Well to put it plain, I have a ways to go.

For someone to get on line and surf, and enjoy the net is one thing,
but to get on line and attempt to promote a product, or program,
Now that is an entirely different ballgame.
The net changes sooo fast , its unbelievable. It is very hard
for a new comer to keep up . In fact I really don't see how a
veteran pro can keep up.
You stated that you was new to this, that is the reason I wanted to
reply to you.
I am in NoMoreHits, thought it was a really good idea, I have become
tired of looking at the same old "homepage" have changed it many times.

With Nomorehits, I get a new page each time I come on , and each time
I click "next". and since most to them are marketing some kind of product
or program, I find it interesting.
And Yes, I for one, do review the sites as they come up.

Now, I also joined another program which enhances Nomorehits.
I did this because I have several programs I am trying to promote.
I suppose you could call it a co-op. It does cost a small fee to join it
but I for one am hoping it will give me some return. After all that's why
I'm promoting, these programs.

But, here's the plain facts about the net.
( Because you said you were new I will give you my opinion )
It's very difficult, and very hard to get a foot hold on the net,  as far
as marketing, you have too many " Big dogs" in the race with
way too much money backing them, at least at the present, that's
how it is.

For us little people to have  the slightest chance, we have to look
for every advantage we can find.
We will have to spend some of our own money to get anything we
put out here seen, even to the slightest degree.

You impressed me with you comment , that you feel , that they changed
the ground rules to the program. when you stated , and I'm quoting.
("  That means, that the whole premise gets screwed up and that only a
few watch and most of the ads are those that are paid for who don't watch
at all.")
I suppose what I'm trying to tell you , is that when a new program
like Nomorehits comes out, you can bet the farm , the ink won't be
dry on the editor page, before someone has another twist to add to
that program.
This is simply the way it is .
I can't even remember how many programs I joined, and wasn't
even in them good, until they changed at least something about it.

I found out, after 3 years or so, that I really had a lot to learn about
marketing on the net. I thought I knew, as I have marketed with some
success off the net. But it is a whole other world on the net.

I have found a couple of training programs , that I am taking at this
very time, that are really opening my eyes to the way it is.
They are produced and maintained, and instructed by the Pro's
that are making it big on the net. ( and now as ironic as it is )
they will make it by training us little people ,
but the fact is
The window of net opportunity is slowly closing each day
now mind you that window is a huge one , and will take a while
to close , but it is closing, that is why I decided to go ahead and
see what these guys had to say.
If you think you would be interested in seeing what they are about
let me know.
I would be happy to send you the Url's

Good luck to you in what ever you do.
Best Regards
John

From: TommyRay
Subject:NoMoreHits

Greetings,

I agree with Colleen Mandato, NoMoreHits is an awesome
alternative to pop-ups, banners, and link exchanges in that you never
have to add a single line of code to your website, AND none of your
visitors sees a thing. This is what excites me about it, as well.
However, there are some things to make note of.

The most obvious, after having added the specific URL to your
Browsers homepage, is the seemingly endless sites that promise to
deliver riches at your feet. In these site-owners' favour to obtain
success, albeit slim. they utilize little tactics such as a pop-up that,
when you clock OK, adds you to their Email list. Clever. But "tricky".
For shame.

The rules of NoMoreHits is that one (1) pop-up is allowed.
However, I have come across some that not only pop-up more than their
share, but also take you from the NoMoreHits frame so that you are
unable to report them. Make it a point to report them anyway, take their
URL and Email NoMoreHits, they dislike this sort of thing, too.

I run a Free site, a Graphical Chat with Voice that has the URL
and overtones of http://Play.at/once in the MagicRealm. Most of the
people using NoMoreHits are not out to Play, but to Work at collecting
credits for traffic to their site. Although many of the people who surf
through are only out to surf by and collect a token (You collect 2
tokens and get 1 visitor) so that they can help assure an early
retirement. As much as we click thru their MLM sites, they are just as
apt to click by ours, BUT, remember...

No Pop-Ups, no Links in your pages, no Banners or Buttons,
nothing is seen by your visitors, and you get a GREAT ratio for
collecting tokens and getting traffic. For FREE. So don't get me wrong,
this is a GREAT idea!! But odds are, a great percentage of the hits you
get will be click-throughs unless you have the right content to be of
interest, and/or can hold their attention long enough with the opening
of your sites page.

                Sincerely,

                                    TommyRay

Subject:Paid subscriptions

Bogdan,

howdy.  I find it discouraging when I see comments from a newsletter
moderator indicating that people hold the newsletter and/or it's
moderator responsible for advertising claims.  That just don't make
sense at all.  People need to realize that it's their responsibility to
evaluate whether an advertising claim is valid or not and a company is
reputable.  There are many resources to call upon ... even asking for
other's input on a particular company in a newsletter such as this.  If
readers feel that an advertiser did them wrong or looks fishy, they
should consult with local authorities and business resources in the
company's area (and their own area if wronged) and then notify the
advertising medium of a past advertiser's indiscretions.  I have run
major advertising mediums such as newspapers and radio stations and we
took customer feedback into account on advertisers.  If a reader feels
they were scammed or feel the quality of service was not what they had
expected, they should not go after the advertising medium ... they can't
blame anyone but themselves and the company that is to blame ... mostly
the later.

Personally, I advertise in this newsletter and frequent other
advertisers.  It's part of what makes getting this newsletter
enjoyable.  So count me out of the ad free version ... subscription wise
... I more than pay for my copy already.    I think you should add
another newsletter for those that don't want ads in the newsletter (very
acceptable), and those don't understand how advertising mediums work and
think everyone else is responsible for everything under the sun when
something goes wrong.  But then again, it's just more work for you just
to please a few complainers that probably sue everyone just because they
almost had to be inconvenienced or a warning label was not posted
saying: "do not to put a sharp object in your eyes and/or any other body
part".

So, please don't get me wrong, it's a good idea and logical addition if
you think it's worth it to you and you have enough people that are
willing to support an ad free version (looks like just a few quick ad
deletes before sending it out as the same version).  Just my complaint
against the complainers ... hehehe

Thanks, for a great newsletter!!!

From:Steve Hartung
Subject:Paid subscriptions

Bogdan,
I have decided to dump all the money losing affiliate internet
opportunities and develop a newsletter that "believe it or not" does not
exist on the www. At this time in the planning
phase, Iam dealing with the offer of "free or fee". I'm leaning toward
"fee" because I for one
am sick of the ads and the scams. Bogdan, the fee based newsletter is
the future!

When Salon.com decided to offer ad-free content to visitors
for a price, some critics said it would never work - "people
would never pay for something they could get for free."

Au contraire! About 20 million U.S. Web users say that they
have paid for online content, according to a Web study
conducted by Lyra Research's Content Intelligence Group.

The study's respondents identified two key reasons that
motivated their payment decisions: the paid site was the only
place where they could get what they wanted (43%), or they
paid because they were curious about the content (39%).

Yes, 90% of Web users who admitted paying for content were
motivated by personal interest or entertainment desires, and
yes, 45% of those who paid for Web content bought adult-
related material.

But, the survey also points out that the next two most
popular paid-for Web content categories were work-related
subjects: industry-specific business sites (27%) and online
database services (18%).

The probe found that premium music/video sites or
specialized/premium news sites also drew about 10% of the
paying audience.

Commenting on the findings, John McIntyre, managing editor
of Content Intelligence, says the research shows that as the
length of Web experience grows from one year to four, the
likelihood of buying content more than doubles. "This is good
news for the future of an industry that has endured a tidal
wave of failed business models."
(Source: mediapost.com, Masha Geller.)

One last thing. Would it be possible to poll your readers as to how many
members have birthdays between January 20th -- Feburary 18th? If you
were born between these dates please send me a email at
 lowcost@bouldernews.infi.net
My upcoming newsletter will only accept people with these birthdays and
I need their opinions on some questions I have and how many of "us" are
out there.

Thank you Bogdan. Thank you Adlands readers.

Subject:Paid subscriptions

This is the ONLY newsletter I actually read from top to bottom, yet I would not
pay for it.  It covers a variety of interesting topics and that's probably why I
read it, but I don't consider it "must have" information.  I don't mean any
disrespect to Bogdan or to his readers, but the digest mainly contains
questions, ratings and chastising.  Entertaining and informative, but not worth
paying for.  I understand the work that goes into creating and distributing a
newsletter, but there has got to be a better way for people to post topics and
questions, get feedback, do a little advertising and let Bogdan make a few bucks
for running it.

May I suggest a message board that incorporates paid advertising.  A moderated
board.  One little thing I dislike about the Adland Digest is that when a person
responds to another posting, I have no idea what the original posting said
unless I read the last digest and I remember the author's name.  I do not
religiously read all digests.  Having a threaded message board would solve this
problem.  Each time a page (thread) is displayed, a new ad would appear at the
top of the page.  Bogdan gets paid, we have a source of information and
entertainment, bandwidth is saved, no more bulk mailings that must take hours to
do and no more postmaster replies of full or invalid mailboxes.

Adland doesn't even have to host the board on their own site.  There are message
boards (for a small price) where you can control banner advertising.  Messages
can be moderated.  Member access can be controlled.  There is no need to pay for
custom programming.  Why reinvent the wheel when this type of product already
exists?

That's my two cents.

Bogdan,

I know you work very hard to keep this newsletter going and you should be
compensated one way or another.  The fact is nothing is absolutely free on
the Internet.  All web sites who came into this arena giving things away free
and offering such huge benefits to get people to come to them have pretty
much found themselves in financial hot water and/or bankruptcy.  I don't mind
the ads, but I would also pay for this subscription if it came to that.
Those who complain about advertising in ezines need a wake up call to the
direction e-commerce is going.  If they got into it to try to make money or
get visitors to their web site (which is most likely the case if they
subscribed to this digest in the first place,) they must realize that "free"
advertising comes with a price - no matter where they advertise!  If they
really don't want the ads, but want this ezine which doesn't put itself
together they should pay for your time and expenses.

While I do enjoy your E-Zine, I am not sure, that your subscribers will
gladly pay $15 annually for your E-Zine.

If I was you, I'd make a survey by making one issue with ads and one
without for the subscribers, who pays you via www.paypal.com or some
EASY way to pay you. OR you could make it AD FREE and FREE for
people, who refer new subscribers to you.

That was my 2 bits worth.

Personally I love ads! You never know what you may find.
I have received many good things from responding to ads.
There are many ads that promise too much, but as a consumer
I need to check out what I buy first. I honestly do not know what
the big deal about ezine ads is all about. I think an email from
someone you do not know with a false removal link is something
worth complaining about, but free ads in an ezine, who cares, I just
read what I want out of that issue. I did ask for it, so it's not Spam,
and I am happy with that! I like ezines for all that they are, ads and all!

Dear Bogdan,

I must say that I have to agree with Toni Ceely and Judi Copeland on this issue.
I subscribe to more than my fair share of ezines in order to stay on top of all
the new marketing tactics on the net, and they all come with ads. It is the
readers response ability to investigate any offer they find desirable in the ads
and links found in any ezine before making a purchase. Your Mass Marketing
segment alone probably saved many members from getting scammed and losing money!
My suggestion is to protect your as sets by providing a disclaimer at the bottom
of your ezine and not accept ads from sources or companies you know to be scams.

Wishing You Continued Success,

Hi,

I'm looking for internet banking which is cheap in charges. Transferable fund
between accounts. Credit card funding.

Much said about PayPal but I can't open it as my country (Malaysia) is not in it
list. It accept credit card on web accept but on the form to fill the credit
card particulars but US country already embed there... no other countries
available or it fix/set
up but account owner to accept credit card from US only. I open e-gold but not
accept credit card to fund it due to credit card fraud. Propay also not
available here. Open Clickbank too. Any comment by users? I open cyBank.. the
most expensive. fee 6% of
the transaction. At least paypal charge a $1 per transaction.

Another question is how good is free hosting is to host free web like geocities,
bigstep, tripod, angelfire etc. I build a simple amateur page at geocities
http://www.geocities.com/mekaridaman When I search it on alexa.. phew over 5
million hits & when I
search detail, it show geocities detail. Meaning that, the hit show on alexa is
geocities hits not my page. Again is it worth promoting it when it look like
promoting geocities as what ever extension after geocities.com which is not
belong to it is cut. S
ave for pay-per-click which I believe as we pay for it, it will appear properly.

Learning the hard way.

Dear Brandy:

I have been facing this same trouble of late. I have been actively seeking an
answer to this question. I certainly want to pass on good warnings to my friends
and associates, but confess to having felt like a complete goofs for having
passed hoaxes and needless concern to those I care about.

I have collected a few excellent sources for virus detections and detection of
virus hoaxes. They are:
1)Symantec at http://symantec.com/techsupp/ The site takes getting used to, but
it is well worth your effort. Their library and current list is topnotch.
2)Urban Legends by David Emery at About.com
http://urbanlegends@about.com
3)Hoaxkill Service at http://hoaxkill.com

Symantec sticks pretty much to computer viruses and hoaxes. The other two go
farther afield and their sites are very interesting reading.

When I receive any frantic e-mails, that have been forwarded I get suspicious.
If money or signing of petitions is included, I look them up. Most are nonsense,
browser-clogging junk. So I look them up before forwarding them. I never open
the attachments until I ask myself,"If this was a TV ad would I believe it?"

The way to see if an e-mail is a hoax is to look at the sites listed above and
then trust you best judgement. I thank G-d that I am not so cynical that I will
not act for good causes, but also that I am not a sitting duck for hoaxters. If
I ever get my hands on one of them...........

Brandy,

I'm no expert, but since I've had many hoaxes come my way, I know a little.
I have been sent many virus warnings since I started to use the internet.
Sure enough, one time my credit card that is on file started to purchase
things that I didn't purchase.  It was awful.  I had to change my account
information and everything.  I would sometimes get e-mail from people that I
never heard of, that claimed they knew me.  It was a robbery of privacy.
After talking with AOL on the matter, they told me "NEVER even open a virus
warning, as they may be the viruses themselves."  So, to avoid any hoaxes or
real viruses, never accept any e-mail from anyone except a trustworhty news
company like CNN for example.  (Not that I'm endorsing CNN)  If anyone knows
if a real virus is on the go, it would be a big news company.  Others are
passed on by many scared victims, even people you love.  So, just don't open
any virus warnings.  It could cost you.  :)  Sorry for the spill, but I
thought I should share my experience.....it might help.

Hey Brandy,

You asked how to tell if a virus warning is a hoax.  Search the internet.  There
are many sites out there that specialize in viruses and virus hoaxes.  There are
numerous sites out there, some are better than others.  Search, find the one you
like and bookmark it.  When someone sends you a virus warning - BEFORE you do
anything - BEFORE you send the virus warning to others or act upon the hoax - go
to the site you bookmarked and look up the name of that so called virus and see
if they list it as a hoax or a true virus - then respond accordingly.

Also, NEVER forward a virus warning!  Always copy and paste into a fresh new
email.  I never read forwarded virus warning especially if they have an
attachment - the warning could be a virus itself.

Hope this helps you, Brandy!

In His Joy,
Seqkat

Subject:Is it a virus, or is it a hoax?

QUOTE:
From:Brandy Tillman
Subject: How do you know when a virus warning is a hoax

I recently received a virus warning that turned out to
be a hoax.  Is there any way to tell whether or not a
virus warning is a hoax?
END QUOTE

Brandy, you don't know. Period.
But you can protect yourself by using the latest anti-virus software, being
wary of any and all attachments that you receive, only downloading from
known and trustworthy web sites, etc.
many people were taken in by the latest hoax email professing that there is
a virus in your system (Sulfnbk.exe), but this is just the tip of the
iceberg. Now there is a real threat, a virus that IS the file named
Sulfnbk.exe, sent to you so that you can restore the file you recently
deleted. See http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-6185693.html

I have a website, http://www.Robrob8.com that offers 100+ free downloads and
am asked all the time if I have infected files on my site. Many show a virus
alert, just because they do something strange to your system. They are not
viruses. I have received the "Snow White Continuing Story" virus more times
than I can count. It is a virus, easily found by a simple scan of the
attachment.
The steps you need to know to protect your computer:
1. Download files only from trustworthy sites.
2. Save any attachments you receive to a floppy disk, scan it, and if you
feel that it's ok, then open it. If it doesn't pass the scan or you are
uneasy about it, just delete it and empty your trash. If the file was sent
by someone you never heard of before, just delete it. Or send them an email
asking what it is they sent you.
3. Look for extra letters in the file name, many are picture.jpg.vbs - files
ending in .vbs are Visual Basic files that run on Windows systems and in the
popular Outlook email program. And usually viruses sent to you by whomever
are written is Visual Basic, so will have the .vbs extension.
4. Consider downloading the Netscape browser and the accompanying email
program. It does not use the Visual Basic engine so these files WILL NOT RUN
on your system if you open them in the email program. Plus you can easily
import your email contact list and saved messages.
5. Make a stop at http://www.news.com a part of your regular routine, to see
what is happening tech-wise and if you need to be on the lookout for
something, it'll be found here first. Of course, recent info about new
viruses can also be found at: http://www.robrob8.com/virus_news

Best of luck to you Brandy, and welcome to the New Millennium!

Hi
I think we all have to respect each others opinions
and work smarter to get our word across.
Want catchy headlines ?
Just go to your local book shop and see what
magazines people pick up and scan
Yes it`s the fashion mags. why?
Headlines sell so does your email headline
it can be the cheapest way to find headlines to
attract people
That`s my 2 cents

Subject:Melanie's email advice

Hello adland,

I don't understand why this guest's article has been so
  vehemently attacked.

I, for one, "copied & pasted" it to a permanent file so
I can refer to it to stimulate my grey matter to do what
the article suggested - GRAB THE READER'S ATTENTION!

Like most of you, I receive literally 100's of emails daily.
I don't have time for all of it - *but*, there are some folk
who have not yet learned the subtleties of advertising, or
attention grabbing jargon that the Marketing Gurus bestow
  upon us daily.

What do all the gurus say?  Think A.I.D.A.. How some of you
have misconstrued such a simple message is beyond me.  Shame
on all of you who were so quick to condemn a valuable
  lesson.

I thank Melanie for the ideas, and hope she realizes that
not all the subscriber's to the Digest disapprove of
  something that seems pretty innocent.

By the way, there was a newbie from Australia that sent in
a comment to the Digest about six weeks ago.  In the
comment, it suggested a visit to a URL which I clicked on:
  http://rikiesbiz.go.coolebiz.com/

Lo and behold when I went there this is what I discovered:

"1.  Create  a  FREE  web-based  email  address  with  an
autoresponder  capability.  This  will  be your junk mail
address. You can get this at "Smart Reply". Once you have
your  messages  set  up, whenever someone sends a (blank)
email  they AUTOMATICALLY get your information. PLUS they
will  follow up for you automatically with up to 20 sales
     letters everyday for you -"

Is this not SPAM in the making? [100 list members x 20 =
2000 emails a day going out!] What have you highbrows done
to steer this relative newbie clear of Spamming? Have any of
you offered valid feedback or suggestions?  In case you're
wondering if I responded to this, the answer is Yes!

Get off Melanie's back and take the article for what it was -
a lesson in Advertising/Marketing!!! Thanks Melanie.

Best regards,
 Jay

Something funny to share:
I've finally been listed #1 at Altavista!  Notice how lots of search
engine experts talk about using unique/niche keywords?  Well,
doesn't help when you're the only one listed ; )
http://altavista.com/sites/search/web?q=easyprosperity&kl=XX&pg=q
Lesson: check to see if there are other sites listed with certain
keywords, phrases, descriptions to make sure you're not by yourself.
Chances are people are looking for what you have?

Enjoy,

Subject:http://www.home-business-residual-income.com/

Hi Bogdan,

I was reading through John Barbour's
'freeflowmarketing' site which I enjoyed
as a progressive learning series type of
site, when I realized how different it is
from my own, new attempt:
http://www.home-business-residual-income.com/
I have gone for placing my main key-
phrases everywhere: in the domain name,
in file names, headers, first 25 words of
body text, link-text, alt tags.. The nav-
igation is not as clear as John's.....but I
guess some feedback / constructive
criticism would be in order! Please review
my new site: Home Business Residual
Income!
I enjoyed Digest#243 as the comments
are real and we can all learn from each
other, pooling our links and experiences.

Thanks Bogdan,

Geoff Dodd

Subject:http://www.marketingbusinessonline.com

Hi, my name is Valdimar Brynjarsson and I´ve been a subscriber for months
now, but never written before.  Now I finally have a reason, or actually a
question...
I have been in the process of building a website (like so many others).  Now
that I´m almost finished I´ve been searching for websites that I can get
neutral review of my site before I finish it, but so far I´ve not got any
real reviews.  So my question is: does anyone know of a website,
messageboard or forum that it´s possible to get a honest, detailed and most
of all FREE website review.

My website is located here: http://www.marketingbusinessonline.com

Thanks
Valdimar Brynjarsson

=====================Site Review Response  (1)===============
From:Andy Sparks
Subject:http://www.freeflowmarketing.com

Hi John;

You have a lot of things right but a few things need improvement.  You have your
own domain.  Your site loads and navigates well and you have something to say.
You need to rewrite your site and get it out of the first person.  You are
missing the #1 rule in selling.

TELLING IS NOT SELLING!

You tell me about many things on your site. You should be asking me questions
and providing the answer with your product or information. In a sales situation,
whomever asks the most questions wins!

If you where going to sell me a pair of shoes, the first thing to ask is dress
or casual shoes, then what size, then what colors and so on until I became
involved in the process and made a purchase.  If you want to make a sale, you
keep asking questions that lead to a buying decision and being helpful until
they buy or leave the store.

I believe you should lose the banner ads and stick with the text links inside
the paragraph.  Text links inside a paragraph that directly relate to the
subject are the most powerful links you can use.  Your navigation bar on the
left is okay, You might make the wording more descriptive.  A button that says
product doesn't exactly entice me to click.

I am completely in the dark about what you are trying to accomplish with the
autoresponder on the first page.  The message was about What makes an
Entrepreneur tick, but it went nowhere and didn't really say or sell anything.

Everyone will think this is a not very subtle advertisement, but you should go
to http://www.sitesell.com/?967andy  This is an excellent example of a sales
letter, You should rewrite your site to ask questions and provide answers like
this site.

You site really does have a lot of good points, like your background page, keep
that page and I really like your art.

Andy Sparks

=====================Site Review Response  (2)===============
From:Toni Ceely
Subject:http://www.freeflowmarketing.com

Hi John, Bogdan and all AdLander's,
John, I have never written a site review before - I wanted to make that
clear up front.  I am by no means an expert on web design, but I have
searched the net and know what I like.  I had to write to tell you that I
think your site is great.  Its nicely laid out, easy to navigate and I
really like the picture of you and your wife, gives it that personal touch.
I do have one suggestion - when I clicked on any of your links I am taken
to that page, you should consider all of your links opening in a NEW window
so that people can easily come back to YOUR site.  Some people get annoyed
if they have to keep using their back button to go back to one of YOUR
pages.  And you do want them to be able to browse your site.
So, all in all I think it's a great looking site.  I would just change
that one thing and it's easy to do.

Sincerely,
Toni Ceely

Powerful Way To Build Your List While Generating Revenue
ByVishal Rao

Affiliate programs are not only a great way to start an
online business but also a smart way to develop a second
income stream from your existing online business.

But to be really successful with affiliate programs or any
online business for that matter, it is vital that you build
your own opt-in list in the process.

Making a living by placing ads for affiliate programs is not
just profitable anymore.

Here's some tips that'll not only increase the conversion
ratio of your affiliate programs, but will also build your
list in the process.

GIVING AWAY FREE REPORTS/E-BOOKS

Most affiliate programs will have free reports/e-books to
promote their program.

You can create a one page mini web site giving away the
free reports/e-books. BUT, the only way your visitors should
be able to access them is by giving away their e-mail
addresses.

Here's an example of how I get subscribers to my list while
promoting one of my affiliate programs...

http://www.raovishal.com/smtat/ebook.htm

This is how you should promote any affiliate program.

GIVING AWAY FREE COURSES THROUGH FOLLOW-UP AUTORESPONDER

The idea behind this approach is to *pre-sell* to your
visitors. As put in Ken's words (Ken of Make Your Site
Sell!)...

Being A Great Affiliate Is *Not* About Selling...
...It's About Pre-Selling

Once you pre-sell, selling becomes easier. Free courses not
only do that but *also* follows-up with your prospects.

Here's how to craft your own course...

Most affiliate programs will have a good collection of
articles to include in your e-zine/newsletters.

Select some 3-4 real *good* articles and compile them in to
a 3-4 day course. Your conversion ratio will directly depend
upon the value of courses offered.

You can use a free no-ad autoresponder service like
http://www.freeautobot.com or http://www.sendthisfree.com to
deliver the course.

All the best!

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

Josie Smith started the day early having set her alarm clock (MADE IN
JAPAN) for 6 a.m.  While her coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, she
shaved her legs with her electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG).  She put on
a blouse (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and
tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA).
After cooking her breakfast in her new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA)
she sat down with her calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much she
could spend today.
After setting her watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA)
she got in her car (MADE IN GERMANY) and continued her search for a good
paying CANADIAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, Josie decided
to relax for a while.  She put on her sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured
herself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on her TV (MADE IN
INDONESIA), and then wondered why she can't find a good paying job
in.....CANADA.....
