Hi Everyone.
I am sitting in for Bogdan for the next 3 weeks while he has a well deserved
break, so
the next few issues will start out here in New Zealand instead of Canada. Not
that many
years ago, when the World was a bigger place, it was a fairly common joke that
when
International flights were arriving in New Zealand the stewardess would announce
the arrival
and invite passengers to set their watches back 25 years. But all of that has
changed and
New Zealand ranks high in the adoption of the Internet and has most of the
things that seem to
qualify a Country as having arrived - high National debt, questionable politics,
unemployment,
pockets of poverty and students enslaved by Student Loans.... Oh! and lots of
sheep.
Having travelled quite extensively I am aware that many people view Australia
and New Zealand as
almost one and the same. Contrary to some beliefs, it is not possible to cross
from one to
the other at low tide and the relationship between the two countries is highly
competitive, particularly in the Sports arena. At one time, when the migration
of people from New Zealand to Australia was particularly high and there were
"brain drain" concer
ns, the (New Zealand) Prime Minister
of the day scoffed and suggested that it would likely increase the intelligence
of both countries.
I will not comment extensively on Sports issues as the Australian Rugby team
yesterday
defeated the New Zealand All Blacks and I am busy sending "flames" to
the referee, touch judges and coaching staff. Perhaps that will lift my share of
today's National depression.
Okay, so none of that has anything to do with Marketing and Promotion on the
Internet. Sorry!
Perhaps there are some Aussies and Kiwis out there with some tips on how they do
it "down under."

Hi Rick,
The best way to advertise on the internet is through email.
I don't mean spamming but joining optin lists that allow you
to send your ads daily spam free. Also advertising in ezines
is a great outlet and the last one I reccommend is the pro
ffa sites. When you join pro you receive the daily leads to
send your offer's to.

In reference to Rick's advertising question, I suggest he make sure that
he never uses a "HERD" ad. Do all cows in a herd look alike ?
Of course , they do. So does your ad in a herd of 50 ads. Get a good,
Flashy Ad to have your business or service noticed. Your ad must
stand out. I am fond of Free Ezine Ads and Classifieds. I have a lot of
good results with both advertisig mediums and the ones I refer are FREE.
Post a minimum of 40 hand posted ads DAILY, in addition to any other
methods that you are using. This plan will yield good results.

The way you ask your question make me think that you
could be involved in MLM as you mentioned that you are
involved in 2 business opportunities.
There is no particular place where you should
advertise. You could be new on the Internet and you
need to realize that it will take a while and a lot of
hard work to get your business off the ground because
nothing can be done overnight on the Internet. As you
said there is a lot of hype.
The best thing to do is for you to subscribe to many
newsletters with good content that will teach you how
to be successful with an Internet business.
There are tons of techniques to help you promote your
business and if you go to a site like topica you
should search for newsletters that target your specifc
market. Once you learn all the tricks from these
publishers you'll you know that they have other
readers like you in the same industry and if these
newsletters have 5000 and more subscribers like you
then it could be a good place to advertise since
readers will trust the publishers of these
newsletters.

One of the best offline advertising resources that I have
found AND use is Web Decal.
You can enhance your online marketing efforts for pennies a
day by advertising on your car, truck or van.
This really does work. I've had several people tell me they
learned about my online business by seeing the Web Decal on
my truck. Every time you pull out of your driveway you'll
be advertising your business. Sometimes you don't even have
to pull out of your drive. I once saw someone stop in front
of my house, get out of their car with a pen and paper and
copy down the info on my Web Decal. This also happens in
parking lots quite often.

hi
In regards to everyone with advertising problems, free advertising
doe,s not work well. I have been marketing on the net for a long time
and the only way to get results from advertising is to pay just like
in the real world of business.
I myself prefer emails because this can be done for free with great
results without spamming, it just requires a little bit more effort
than placing an ad here and there to expect to become rich overnight.
It takes a lot of time and effort, and the right training(which 99%
of internet business don't give, they just give you an identical
website and send you on your way) to be successful on the net.
I am a highly qualified computer programer(C++, java etc)and it
hasn't helped me one little bit when it comes to marketing on the net.
Its a whole new learning process everyday.

This is my second post to Adland Digest. In response to my first post I did
receive a lot of replies advising and suggesting me about the program I'd
put on the post. I was very thankful to all those people who've sent me
their opinion and ideas. Because of your valuable advises I did not joined
Skybiz. Now again I need your such advises and assistance.
I know that Network Marketing is wonderful kind of business. It was just
because of so-called MLM experts that have put this industry into bad name.
I know if there is genuine MLM company with good up-line support is with

always put me into disbelief. Things they mention are always too good to be
true. And I always avoid them.

I wanted to thank Steve Hustoft for his comments
on my site. I only had one question for him.
You said in your comments that the term
dropshipping confuses people and I should change
the name but what do I change it to?
I am dropshipping if the person buying the item
wants me to ship it to another address for them.
This is for resellers that do not want to keep
alot of products on hand. They buy from me and I
ship it to whomever they want it shipped to. Is
that not dropshipping or do I misunderstand the
meaning of it?
I again thank you for taking the time to visit
my site and give your comments.
I invite more readers to check out what a

If there were one key to exploding your sales, it would be
your headline.
Do you know why?
Master marketers know that ninety percent of the success or
failure of your sales letter is your headline!
Just listen to what marketing legend John Caples has to say
about the almost mystical power of your headline.
"Advice to copywriters: When you are assigned to write an
ad, write a lot of headlines first. Spend hours writing
headlines or days if necessary. If you happen to think of a
headline while walking down the street or while riding the
bus, take out pencil and paper and write it down."
Why is the headline such a powerful tool?
1. It attracts the readers attention.
2. It's packed with the benefits of your offer.
3. It appeals to the readers self-interest.
4. It compells the reader to read you full offer.
If you've read this far you should be convinced of the
importance of your headline.
Our next goal is to deterimine what an attention grabbing
headline is.
The most important feature of your headline is it must be
believable. If your headline isn't believed by the reader
the rest of your sales offer will never even get read.
Your headline should be compact and to the point. Most good
headlines are less than 17 words.
Lastly, be sure to use quotation marks. Quotation marks have
a way of etching your headline in the readers mind.

Okay Bogdan, here is the first of the New Zealand origin jokes (but it has
probably travelled):
A certain bar that was headquarters for a local gang, was known for illegal
dogfights
in the carpark. The gang leader had a particularly nasty rottweiler that had
never lost a fight, and
the word went out that $500 would be paid to the owner of any dog that could
beat him.
One evening a suited, rather effeminate man, found his way into the bar by
mistake with
a pampered and perfumed chihuahua on a leash. There were laughs and jeers from
the gang followers
and the suggestion that he had brought the dog in to challenge the gang boss'
rottweiler.
The boss sneered and said that if the chihuahua could kill his rottie, he would
pay not $500, but $1,000.
Following some not so subtle intimidation, the chihuahua and owner moved out to
the carpark for the fight.
The gang boss disdained to watch, saying that it would not be a worthwhile match
and gave
$1,000 to one of his aides to payout in the unlikely event his dog lost.
There were snarls and yelps from the carpark and then the gang members filed
back into the bar
to give the bad news to the boss and watch the man, $1,000 richer, walk past the
windows cradling
his wet and bedraggled chihuahua.
The gang boss couldn't believe it, he ran to the window and called out to the
man - who was moving
fairly fast and almost to a corner:
"How could that puny excuse for a dog possibly kill my mean
rottweiler?"
Over his shoulder, the man replied, with a lisp and the shadow of a smile:
"It got stuck in his throat."
