Hi Bogdan,
Just over 4 years ago, I began my journey as a webmaster. Using a
built-in online HTML editor, I created my first website at TheGlobe.com
(they are now offline). It was there that I earned my first US$7.98 for
a month's commission. I hadn't worked too hard for the money, it was
just as if it had fallen from the sky into my mailbox. I was doing
something that I enjoyed (creating a web site), and earned a few dollars
for my efforts. I added content like crazy to that first web site. I
researched what people were looking for and created a web site around
those items. Online photos of where I lived, free images that people
could use as backgrounds for their own web pages and downloadable free
programs became my content to draw traffic. My earnings steadily
increased. Month by month I was seeing an increase in traffic and an
increase in the size of checks that I was receiving. I met my wife-to-be
through an online personal ad and continued my affiliate business
through an increase of partnerships and traffic generating content.
Today I can say that if I were to quit my day job, I would be no worse
off. My online income far and away exceeds my paychecks from my "day
job". My humble website at TheGlobe has now grown to more than 5 domains
that are regularly updated and generating more traffic and revenues that
ever before.
The secret of my success? Find something you like and create a web site
around it. I have found that some of the most successful web sites
follow what small businesses do in the "brick and mortar" world - do
one
thing and do it well. People look for quality content above all. You do
not need to be the Yahoo of it all, they all ready exist and you aren't
going to beat them, but if you can find one subject to be very good at,
you can match or exceed your own goals, and that is more important.
I always wanted a small business, something to call my own, but never
had the financial backing to create a brick-and-mortar business. The
Internet brought with it he opportunity to be as creative as possible,
set my own hours, meet people from the safety of my own home (no
knocking on doors!) and earn as I learn as well! No one ever said to me
"Rob, it can't be done", so I never knew any better than if I put
forward my own best effort, rewards would be realized. I truly enjoy my
online work, I have found areas that I enjoy working in and promoting as
well as creating an online entertainment site (of sorts) at Robrob8.com.
It can be done, earning a good living from affiliate programs, you just
need to work at it, and hard.

Hello Adlanders,
Hello Brian Sater,
Brian, following up on your last post to this list about
your FFA links page I'd have one question.
Aren't your FFA links pages automatically send a
confirmation email a the time of the posts?
I'm using FFA links page to promote my sites (one in
several techniques) for more than 3 years now and never
had one spam complaint in all those years! However, the
confirmation email letter is sent right at the moment of
the post. I do not harvest email addresses from posters to
send one or more emails, confirmation or not. Just don't
do this and don't subscribe them to NOTHING either, they
obviously don't _opt-in_ when they just post an ad, many
don't understand that and get in very hot water by acting
like this.
Moreover, I'm not paying for this service since the FFALP
is on my own server, I've just installed the FFALP script
on my site and everything works automatically. If your
FFA links page system is working like this and then you
send some more "confirmation" to a list you've harvested
from the submitters to your pages, then YES... chances of
being accused of spamming are greatly increased.
I strongly suggest that you use a FFA script from your own
site that sends confirmation email right off the bat from
your site. You can find FFA scripts at many places on the
Internet and most of them are free, you must have cgi-bin
access however.

Once done, make sure that you clearly state a "thank you
for posting" message and make sure you include a link
to the page where they have just posted their ad. This
way they can easily click on it, for those who actually
receive and read it, and go to see the link they have just
posted on your page. This way, chances of being accused of
spamming are extremely thin.
Considering that a certain percentage of users are actually
clicking on the link to see their ad on your page (especially
new users will), this is where you can put your efforts to
present your offer(s) to the visitors. One of the most
powerful techniques to do so is using POP-ups technologies.
This technique is very powerful even if many find pop-ups
to be annoying. Many Internet Marketing experts are raving
about it and a few of them have even created products, that
we start to see here and there, that will teach you how to
use and implement them from your web site.
Nevertheless, you still need a certain level of technical
skills to implement it on your web site and this is why
I've recently created and launched a new service free for you

implement the technique from your web site without the need
of special technical knowledge at all. If you can copy and
paste a slight piece of code on your web page you're done

My name is Bryan Marsden the CEO of the Referral Machine I am British and like
many US, German, French, Italian, Canadian, the list goes on, live and work in
Malaysia.
I would like to share with your readers my disgust and contempt for the actions
of US companies like Paypal and ccScan and other credit card authorization
companies, who have carte blanche blacked complete countries and closed down
internet businesses. It is now impossible for internet business to be
conducted
from these countries and the people that are suffering are the customers from
around the world.
The US ambassador in Malaysia made a public statement this week that the US
government do not have any problems with the Malaysian Government or its people
and that US investment in the country is increasing.
So who the hell do these US companies think they are to take such action when
their own Government is supporting the countries they are blacking.
Through their actions they are penalizing honest hardworking people around the
world and handing victory to terrorists.
My view is that the management of these companies are narrow minded self
opinionated bigots that will, in the end alienate the US from the rest of world
and as such should be removed the world business stage.

Boost Your E-zine Subscribers With 10 Techniques That Work

Starting an e-zine is easy to do. Decide on a topic. Pick the
perfect name and poof you are the proud publisher of your very
own e-zine. Getting subscribers is a different story.
That is why I'm going to share with you 10 techniques that
have worked well for me. In less than 6 months, using these
simple techniques, I have added over 2,000 subscribers to my
own e-zine and you can do the same.
1. Show your potential subscribers a sample issue of your e-
zine. Black out some of the important info; this will make
them curious and compel them to subscribe.
2. Give away a free follow-up autoresponder course. Publish
your e-zine ad in each lesson. The more people see it, the
higher the chance they'll subscribe.
3. Offer your potential customers a discount on a particular
product you sell if they subscribe to your free e-zine.
4. Give other businesses permission to give a free
subscription to your e-zine as a bonus for a product they
sell.
5. Ask your potential subscribers questions that'll persuade
them to subscribe like: "Would you like to learn how you can
make a living at home?"
6. Write your e-zine's ad to sound like it is common sense to
subscribe. For example: "Everyone knows you have to..."
7. Assume people are going to instantly subscribe to your e-
zine. For example: "Dear Valued Subscriber." They will
want to
subscribe in order to feel important.
8. Allow your subscribers to collect stuff from each issue of
your e-zine. It could be ebooks or software. They'll tell
others and those people will subscribe.
9. Tell people what their friends or family might say as a
result of them of learning what's in your e-zine. People care
about what other people think of them.
10. Make people feel like it's their idea to subscribe and they
will be less hesitant. Tell them in your ad "You are making a
smart decision for subscribing."
Don't feel like you have to use them all. Pick the ones that
will work the best for your situation and apply them. The
more you do, the more you will benefit.
Publishing an e-zine is a great way to build your credibility
and inspire trust in your business, product or service. Not to
mention it's a fun way to help others!
