I think Robert is taking a harsh stand with you, Terry. There are a number of
known, effective, positive words in
Advertising, and 'PROVEN' is one of them
-for sure! Proven induces belief. The
use of 'HOW TO..' is very good copy-
writing also!
I'm confused by:
$500/mo is all that separates you from your own successful
business in Health and Nutrition!
Terry, this makes it sound like the cost
of $500 per month.. separates, or prevents someone from running this
Health Business!! Alarms! Otherwise,
the:
"discover how you can put the secrets of our success to work for you!"
sounds like excellent Ad copy.
I just don't like the confusion about the
$500 per mo. being a 'possible cost.'

Thank you to everyone who responded to my request. I passed your
comments (most negative) on to the writer of the ad. Below is what he
wrote back. This makes sense to me, but who am I to know for sure.
What do you guys think? If you still don't like the ad, what would be
better?

Hi Terry,
I agree with everything that each of those people are saying... that is
for their specific advertising medium... a newsletter. In a newsletter
you want to encourage, or lure the reader to respond to your ad. You
don't try to deter them, or qualify them. That is because a newsletter
is not a "pay for performance" advertising model. You simply pay for
your ad insertion and hope that as many people respond to your ad
as possible.
On the other hand, our original "Opt In" campaign is a "pay for
performance" model. We are guaranteed to receive a certain amount
of leads and we only pay for those people that do respond to our ad.
Because of this there is no reason to try and seduce the reader into
requesting more info. We can tell the reader that it is MLM, we can
tell the reader that you need $500/mo, we can tell the reader that
it is health and nutrition without any consideration to how appealing
it sounds because we are "guaranteed" a certain number of responses.

Hello Bogdan and to all fellow Adlanders!
I share the sentiments of Bryan Marsden (AD#263)and
Numan Izzat (AD#264). As I have been trying to find
ways to earn via the Internet for the last 2 years or
so, I always find it difficult every time to transact
business whenever I find an opportunity that interests
me as they require payment. Paypal does not accept
international accounts to date. I have to go to the
Post Office and use Money Order, as it is the only
option I have. I don't possess a credit card and even
if I do, I doubt it, if it will be accepted/processed
as I am also in Asia (Philippines in particular). But
I don't have to go there now, I can send Money Order
online and I hope all the rest of Neties
(international, that is) who transact businesses on
line may find this new payment option I have
discovered.
There is now an option in payment services available
and I think it's good.

Dear all,
I created the following to generate new leads for my downline.

I have been quite successful with getting daily leads, but some of them are
wasted because the persons who
fill up the form did not provide their email
addresses. I would like to know whether there is any
script that makes it mandatory for an user to fill up
ALL fields before she can submit her form.
I use Bravenet form processor as I do not have cgi
access with my web host. Thus, the script will have
to work with Bravenet.

A little information on the site. It is a home and office coffee service and we
sell all national brands of coffee and ship it world wide and I want to make
sure that this is plane and simple. I want to make sure that everything can be
found easily and pages load fast and the content is what it is intended for but
not more than it should be. I want to make sure that it will hold the potential
customers interest and give them enough information but not to much so that they
will want to go to the product page and buy. All comments are greatly

I think your concept is good but it doesn't have "legitimacy" in that there are
no details about you or your company.
Next to your photo you should have something like "Hi I'm Adriana and can be
contacted here at........................" which would have your phone number,
email address ( live ) and street address.
You should also let prospective clients know if your prices include shipping
throughout the USA and Canada or wherever - remember your site can be seen by
anyone anywhere in the world.

First, Adriana, you are to be congratulated for a site typified by graphical
beauty, simplicity, ease of use
and common sense: especially in the
'budget option -gifts under $30.' range.
Secondly Adriana -a question: Are you
running a Links page and requesting some Reciprocal Links?? To satisfy the
Search Engine gods you need close matching of keywords and like-themed
sites on a permanent links page. They
will count and examine the incoming links and assign your link-popularity....
I guess you know all this, but you have
chosen a very competitive field:
Consumer: gifts. And you'll need every
factor working your way. There is a new
service available for managing PPCs -pay
-per-click SEs ALL from one site:
Keyword Gold Card. They say, pay $25
and get up to $600 credit .. hmm, user
pays eventually.....I've yet to fully check

product 'on the side' literally :) -such as
an eBook on flowers, home decoration
and design..... design software.. what
do you think?
Your site is VERY good. It just needs

Doorway pages targeted to key-phrases
and HEAPS of incoming links to keep
Mr Google smiling.

I admire the considerable amount of work that
obviously went into creating your websites.
I found a problem common to both websites.
The QUALITY OF THE IMAGES was very poor. By
that I mean the resolution, crispness, definition,
and lack of detail was poor.
Your gifts don't look very appealing as a result.
This is a technical problem, and since I lack
expertise in this area I don't know exactly what
steps you should take to correct this.
The IMAGE OF YOUR GIFTS is the strongest selling
point on a website like yours, but in this area
you are very weak.

EVERYONE is experiencing slow sales right now.
Considering all of the world events that have hit
America during the last two months, we are lucky
it is not much worse.
America is at war. This makes for an uncertain
economic environment no matter in what part of
the world you might happen to live.
But that should not keep us from moving ahead
while doing everything we can to improve, expand
and increase our sales.
Here are a few KEY tips to "Cash In Big" right now:
1. Have A Sale.
Just dropping your price is not always the answer.
Review your sales records and see what is NOT
selling for you right now. Then drop the price
and let ALL of your customers know about it.
Set a time limit to make it important to act now.
2. Re-Package Your Produce or Service.
Take those slow moving items and give them new life.
Re-Package your product or service to give your
customers more value for their money. We have had
excellent results by bundling multiple ad exposures
and dropping our per ad cost to less than half.
Yet our average per customer sale is about $100.00
You can maintain a good rate of return at a good
average per customer while the customer buys
a product or service at greatly reduced prices.
Everybody wins!
3. Add A Bonus.
Everyone loves to get more than they expected.
Give your customer a pleasant surprise by giving
them something totally unexpected.
You can also use this technique by telling the
customer, BEFORE the purchase, exactly what
extras they can expect.
The bonus can either close the sale for you or
provide your customer with such a positive
experience that they plan to make future buys.
Take America Online as an example.
They recently released version 7.0 of their famous
software disk that allows you to log onto their service
for a full 1000 hours and/or up to 45 days. They just
keep making it so tempting that you have to try it.

when it comes to Internet Access. We did compile
