I would like to thank all the people that responded to my post both
directly and through this news letter. I am trying to follow up on all
the ideas before I make any decisions. First I will respond to the news
letter replies. First I will reply to Mike Fisher who suggested I take
a look at viralvisitors.com. First I would have to mention that nobody
is forcing you to put your link after the main domain name. It makes me
wonder if your post is not just another plug for your program. (not to
say it isn't a good program ). Also the exact procedure of how the
system works is not very clearly laid out. I get the impression you
have to go visit sites. This is really apples and oranges here.
I do
not want to go anywhere. The program I am speaking of simply brings up
a different site every time you open your browser window which I do
every time I want to check my mail, in other words no extra work then
what I do now. I also do not want to subscribe to another news letter,
I am full up!! I would be interested though in how the people are doing
that signed up below you and use the free service NOT the paid options
(did I say I was cheap lol). Seems to me most of the free opportunities
that offer paid upgrades are not as effective as those that only offer 1
free program that works the same for all.
I would like to also thank Debra Glinsey for here response. What I do
not like about the Auto Hits program is you have to leave a browser
window open and there are very few details at there web site to really
spell out what is going on until you join. Did you really check out
what I was talking about Debra? There is no clicking with the program I
suggested and no browser windows that have to stay open. It is the
same browser you open up anyway just to get on the internet, just a
different page each time. ( I am basically lazy ) .
The other part of my offer that has not been discussed here is the
organized approach of linking to the ones that sign in under you!!!
This structure was just as important a part of my idea as is whatever
program we use. I will not go over the idea again but will instead
again ask those that may be interested in a cooperative effort to check
out my original post in letter#267.
Keep in mind I am not signed up to anything yet and am making no money
or credits of any sort by bringing up this idea. I just believe we can
generate a lot of passive traffic easily without a lot of requirements
by checking this out in addition to an organized approach to it.
I have had a number of concepts sent to me directly however most of them
require a lot of action on my part or opening my browser 30 times or
more a day. ( sounds like cheating to me ). The program that I
suggested will cancel you if you try to use the system in that way.
This makes the views worth more to me. A lot of the others smell to
much to me like ffa pages, basically ineffective.
Any ways I am going to wait out a few more letters to get your responses
and see what you all have to say before I make my first move. Thanks
again for your responses and I look forward to some more discussion
about this idea.

Hi Bogdan,
Firstly, I too will join with the others in 'singing your praises' and say that
I too appreciate being able to converse with yourself and other like-minded
persons about topics common to all or most of us.
I have already written direct to Sherrie but I am not sure if it got through.
Sherrie, I have visited your site and will say it looks good, is not cluttered
and is easy to navigate. The only criticism I have, it is a small one and PLEASE
take it constructively, and that is that the title "Northern Beauty
Sources" is
a little misleading. I was expecting to find a sight where ladies could go to
find information and links about health and beauty.
I too am in a similar position to you, Sherrie, in that I am trying to start up
a business on the internet. I am a FULLY QUALIFIED PRACTITIONER in AROMATHERAPY.
I have invented several very, very effective treatments for some very common
complaints. I am a 'one man band' at the moment and have tried these as much
as I was able. The success rate on my 'jewel in the crown', my Arthritis
treatment that I call ARTH-RITE, is 98%. I say this figure purely because
nothing is perfect but EVERYBODY here, who has used it has had relief from the
symptoms. Anyway, that is what my main product is but I have lots more on my web
site. I will explain a little later.
What you have to offer, on your site, IS very handy (especially for you guys
living in the USA - I am in Australia). My first suggestion is to REGISTER the
NAME YOURSELF!. You have got it up for grabs to anyone? It is a good name -
secure it quick!
Then I would offer, up front some FREE things. For example - use the search
engines and find some Health or Beauty (both if possible) companies that will
allow you to put their links on you site. You particularly want ones that will
pay you every time someone clicks through from you. Already, to your customers,
you are offering something free to them as the Company pays you.
Next, you may be able to source reputable articles on health and/or beauty tips
that you will be able to put on your site and change every week/fortnight or
month - depending on how often you want them COMING BACK! Are the magic
words -
coming back. This is what you want. If you give them something INTERESTING and
FREE, that is changed regularly, they will keep coming back. (of course, you
make it clear at the start of the piece that you do find new and interesting
articles and that you will change them weekly/fortnightly or whatever you
choose).
I have been working the net for eight weeks, up to 12 hours per day, just
looking for and checking through every advertising site that I could find. I am
NOT saying that I have found ALL the best ones but I have selected what I
consider are the best, at least for me. I am not putting down any of the others
in any way whatsoever, but I had to cut the number down somehow - I couldn't
join all of them!
I know this will sound like a blatant plug for me but if you want to cut down a
lot of the work for yourself, go to my site and check out the links that I have
got there.
I am sure that Bogdan will agree with me (I hope you do, Bogdan) but don't limit
yourself to just one site. Obviously ADLANDPRO is right up there at the top
along with another particularly good one called RoiBot

).

G'day Bogdan,
I'm writing to you from Sydney again, and was interested in Roy's request
for links to his site.
I'm looking for links myself for my unique Reverse Classifieds only
site, but got confused reading all those words on Roy's site. I think
he would be better having his own link bar/column for all the services he
offers.
Good Luck Roy with your site, but I would also like to know how I can
get links to my site, as now that it seem that the major Search Engines
rate sites on the number of good incoming links.
As I said, my site is unique in that I only place ads for things people
want to BUY.
We have well over 300 ads and I'd love to have a few links to good
sites whose visitors I might be able to attract, but the sites I've looked
at pertaining to my 46 categories all have their own ads so it's a catch
22 situation.
I'd love to hear from anyone who reads this great newsletter who might
be able to help.

Is there any way it's possible to advertise your home business on Internet
classifieds without getting a deluge of spam in response? Everytime I post ads
for my business, I got anywhere from 20-80 messages with people sending me their
opportunities unsolicited, and often including snide remarks such as "I bet
you
don't
write your own ads" (as a matter of fact, I do)or "Your opportunity is
no good,
try us for $$$". Politely asking for serious inquiries only or asking
people not
to send me their opportunities without my permission does n good.
Having to wade through all these messages in my inbox is interfering with
responding to serious inquiries and is a nuisance.
Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Seven Rules to Writing Irresistible Subject Lines

What makes a terrific subject line? The answer is "it
depends." A great subject line for a message going to one
group would just not work with another. The closer you are to
your readers, the more subtleties you can incorporate. For
example, most Americans think that marketing to Canadians is
pretty much the same as to Americans. But did you know that
no Canadian bank teller has ever cashed a check? In Canada,
check is spelled "cheque."
There are also subtle regional differences in the meaning of
certain words or the words used to describe the same thing.
In Pennsylvania, a "pocketbook" is a woman's handbag.
Being
from the West Coast, to me a pocketbook is a paperback book
that goes inside a purse, not the purse itself.
Don't be surprised if it takes you more time to write the
subject line than the entire message. After all, if your
readers don't get past reading the subject line and delete
your message unread, then even if you write like Shakespeare,
it doesn't matter.
Another key point is to write your subject lines as If You
Were Sending A Message To A Friend. Whenever it looks like a
sales pitch, most readers would rather not read it.
And so, the challenge is...
How Do You Write An Inviting Subject Line That Does Not Appear
Like Hype Or SPAM?
Your subject line has to get past the "spam" filters.
Both
the ones built into the mail programs and the filters in the
viewers' minds. Although your message is not spam and is
simply being sent to your opt-in list, if it "looks" like
spam, then the viewer will never even get to the pearls of
inspired wisdom in your message. Your email will instantly be
deleted to the cyberspace garbage dump.
Here Are 7 Rules For Writing Great Subject Lines:
RULE #1: Touch Their "Sweet Spot" By Connecting With Your
Readers On An Emotional Level.
Your subject line needs to connect with your targeted viewers
so well that they can instantly appreciate that you understand
their needs and situation.
RULE #2: Your Subject Line Needs To Contain More Value Than
Hype.
Advertising techniques like a screaming used car salesman on
late-night TV or a barker at a state fair are not very
effective for convincing people as they scan through their
email messages. Focus on believability and content.
RULE #3: Forget "Mass" Marketing.
Your subject line needs to be written as a message to the
individual viewer. If email arrives with your name on it,
then you will not be as quick to delete it. Maybe it really
is something you requested. It could be the newsletter you
recently subscribed to.
By adding the name in the subject line, the reader pauses just
that extra instant. That should be all the time you need to
pique their curiosity and get them to open your email message.
Use a mail program that allows you to send personalized
messages in the subject line.
RULE #4: Avoid The Use Of $$$, ***, ALL CAPS And Other
"Shouting" Symbols.
Spam filters on mail programs such as Hotmail can be set to:
Off, Low, High, or Exclusive depending on the degree of
filtering desired. At the low setting, "... most
incoming
email messages will be delivered to your Inbox." At the
Exclusive setting, the only way anyone can send you an
email is if his or her address is already in your Address
Book.
Words like "sex", "free," and symbols such as
dollar signs in
the subject line may also filter out your message.
Here is some spam from my Hotmail account. My filter, set
on High, filtered out all the following spam:
- global exposure we do the work 1106e
- New Fruit Discovery Cures Most Ailments +
- You need my help???
- Stop Searching Start Earning 7434
- Let the Government MAKE YOU RICH...
- Reduce Your Monthly Debt Payments up to 60%
RULE #5 - Keep Your Subject Line To 60 Characters Or Less..
Long messages get cut off and so the viewer will not be able
to see the entire line. Keep the message simple enough that
the viewer "gets it" instantly. A
"perfect" subject line

During WWII, one of the greatest ads ever written was one word
and an address. That word was, "nylons." Due
to the wartime
rationing, nylons were in great demand. Is there some way you
can persuade your readers to take action with just a few
words?
RULE #6 - Just Like A Big Mac, The Subject Line For Your
Newsletter Should Be The Same Every Time.
If you are sending email to your opt-in subscriber list, your
subject line must be consistent and recognizable (and ideally
personalized) every time.
Now that you have read the six "rules" there is one more
rule
you should know about. It is RULE #7 that states:
"These
Rules Can Be Bent and Broken." When it comes to writing
compelling subject lines (and all advertising for that
matter), the only way you will really know for sure is to
TEST.
