Greetings All

Welcome  270 new subscribers who joined list since last mailing.

                             ----===(*)===-----

Recently I received this letter from Chris Gibson, one of very long
users of Adlandpro.

Bogdan,

I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much I love your service - you may
not know that I have been in marketing over 13 years and since I market
primarily on-line I  heavily use Adlandpro's banner program - and I can tell you
after tracking this for 4 months I can see that when I do not have impressions
running I see a 30% reduction in sales - that is how effective your banners have
been for me! Not to mention your customer service has been outstanding - it's a
pleasure to have your link code on my site - but I just wanted to let you know I
am recommending this to all my downline affiliates as the most effective banner
advertising around.

Sincerely,
Chris Gibson

<---->

When I asked Chris If I could use his letter as unsolicited testimonial, here is
what he answered.

<------>

Hello,

I absolutely do not mind at all! I take marketing very seriously and I really
try to help people avoid things that do not work - your banners absolutely
work - I get 4% - 5+% clickthrus on them ( I use adland pro banners you provide)
and when I release my ebook on ad writing you all will definitely be
recommended - as you are on my websites - people who promote affiliate programs
are missing out not using your service and network - I know these are strong
words but as a marketing professional on-line and off - I know value - you have
really helped me build my business in a very short time - I got some of my heavy
hitters from response to those banner ads. Feel free to use whatever you like!

I agree with Steve Hartung, when he said, "Invest your marketing money in new
technology searchengines and directories!" I have become disgusted with the
bigger search engines and directories changing the rules "midstream". I too
chose to invest in a smaller search engine and directory, I decided on
http://www.searchpost.net .   This is a paid per click search engine, however,
the beauty of it is YOU decide on what you are willing to pay per click.  I'm
not the best at explaining things, so check it out for yourself, but basically
you bid on words that people search for, and then IF they click on your link,
you pay.  Can bid as low as $.01 per click, see for yourself and I hope it helps
others with their advertising needs.

If you remember, I am not happy with Overture.  I think it is safe to say that I
am not alone.  I was just flipping through channels and the business news said
AOL announced that they were dropping Overture and go to Google.

Hooray!, It still pays to be nice to your customer!  If you are a follower of Dr
Ken Evoy, this is great news because Google loves pages that are built with his
site buildit program.  If you build a quality, key word focused content page
with site build it and use the analyzer, it will rank well on google.

I am certain that any quality, key word focused page that actually contains
useful information will rank as well on Google regardless of where it is hosted.

Who wants to pay $15 and up for a domain and
$24 for "reliable" hosting a month, just to sell and
promote one product? I know I wouldn't, if that was
me.
-->

This I understand, a good way to make more money is to lower your cost.
So when I see you talking about spending (24*12) +15 = $303 you're paying
WAY too much for hosting...  to start domain names are 8.95 at places on
the internet today. (at godaddy.com if we can tell/say that.)

The price for good affordable hosting is as low as $35 a year for 50 MB
(that will hold more than a few hundred pages).

This I know, that is what I charge per year, and I am not the only one
in that price range, (I wish I was).  I have "reliable" servers, a solid
business and business plan. I co-locate servers in a major ISP for about $300 a
month per server and charge $35 for a customer a year. So I must have 8.5 new
customers a month to pay the server. That's how it started, as of January I am
running 3 servers and had 120 new customers that month. I work out of my home,
so I don't have an office and I have been in business, going on 3 years now.  I
do have limits on my service and it can be out grown, but if you out grow it you
should be making lots of money and can afford a more costly hosting set-up.

So if you're not looking at what is currently available on the internet and
paying $303 and not $44 your overhead may be too much.  And for new business
paying 5 times to much for something is one way not to make it.  You must keep
aware if you're going to keep up.

Thanks

People don't think a website all in plain text looks good. So how they figure
eMail looks any better in plain text I fail to see. True plain text doesn't even
allow italicizing or boldfacing words, nor using special characters.

The big online/Internet firms now use HTML newsletters and personal eMail. So,
if the smaller firms, including Adland Digest, don't get on the HTML bandwagon,
they'll be left behind in the dust! As for problems, before clicking an HTML
link or graphic, one can put the cursor over it, and it will show what the real
destination is.

Subject:HTML or not?

Hi Bodgan, Hi Adlanders

I enjoy the digest for about 2 years now and I read each
and every issue.

It doesn't matter for me, when you need to split the
issues - I will read them because I like the great
newsletter.

I use hotmail and so the digest does not appear as an attachment, but in
case this changes, I would open the attachments, because I know, it is the
newsletter I'm waiting for all the week :)

Also your questions about html or text - personally
I prefer text because most times I simply copy and paste
my emails into my word-processor and format it
to a font and fontsize of my choice to be able to
read it with fun. Doing this with a html email most times the links get
lost...

About the non responsive subscribers - personally I would
be happy when I have had that responses to my newsletter I tried to publish
last year. Are we lazy folks? Me too, it needed several requests before I
took the time to
write this response - lazy people like me need several requests.... :)

However, I congratulate for your great publication - keep it going

Sincerely
Christian Schneider

Hi Unknown

I have not been impressed with the leads, as they are not very responsive or
are they well screened, when you get a e-mail on the
list like (Jon Doe support@hotmail.com) it is evident these have
not been filtered at all. 25% of the list I got were bad addresses.

I have since found a couple of more targeted and reliable sources.

generate income for you and the other is your own lead generating business:

Unknown,

I  have  been  a  Leaders  Club  member  for  a  number  of  years  and
recently  began  using  email  leads  and  using  GlobalGroupSend.

Leaders  Club  leads  come  from  generic  advertising.  The  responses  to
their  ads  receive  info  on  Network  Marketing.  To  work  these  leads,  you
must  make  an  initial  contact  to  confirm  that  they  are  truly  looking
for  a  Network  Marketing  opportunity.  Some  may  already  have  found  what
they  were  looking  for; others  may  have  lost  interest  and  still  others
won't  even  remember  that  they  requested  information  in  the  first
place.

Once  you've  made  contact  with  interested  leads,  you  must  send  a
series  of  follow-up  letters.  It  takes  communication,  commitment  and
consistency  to  succeed  in  Network  Marketing.  If  you're  not  getting  a
good  percentage  of  positive  responses- change  your  heading.  And  keep
testing.  And  if  you  are  a  member,  you  should  be  listening  to  the

Subject:HOW TO STOP BEING IDLE.

Hi Bogdan,

Here's a bit of help for those sick of being booted
from their ISP's.

POWERTIP... HOW TO STOP BEING IDLE.

Ever get sick of being cut off from your ISP when
your machine has been idle X amount of minutes.
Here's one way I found to combat this situation and
earn click thru credits.

Simply join an automatic click program.  You provide
your favorite $$$ earning url then when you start
work on your computer just open it up. Generally you
will earn 1 hit for every 2 shown.

Yes now you can answer the phone, write an email, grab
a sandwich without the ISP automatic shutdown Gestapo
booting you. Very Handy if reading Bogdan's Adland
Digest.

Voila end of ISP shutdowns and earn credits.  A good
one I use is at this url...
http://www.trafficharvester.com/cgi-bin/register.php?r=BlueRaven

It is very fast, changing screens every 20 seconds.

Good luck!

Subject:I have a warning

Hi All Ezine members

I have a warning about 911hits.com, mytrafficblast.com
as you might of read in previous ezine about other
members problems with orders with them.

My bad experience with 911hits after I upgraded my lifetime
membership to the PRO one for month I lost my original
lifetime account and the admin /support never reply back
to my emails or enquires as one would expect the PRO account
to expire back to previous account status!!! but it didn't happen
so the ibill company they use has got sick of them too
(and me and maybe others complaining about such issues) and
not responding to their clients that ibill.com issued the pro upgrade refund
but means now I'm without my lifetime membership
where I used to get the odd lead from NEWBIES joining their
safelist as they have been around for a few years now
and many affiliates promoting their sites. Every week
I used to email 1000 new members and get 5 to 20 visiting
my offer, so in that respect they have been useful for
any business OPT-IN emailing with the odd sale!

So be warned if you have a lifetime membership and upgrade
for a trial period you too will loose your precious membership
and get no support from the webmaster.
Especially if you're like me that bought the lifetime membership years
ago and since had a hard drive crash or lost paper proof
of the original lifetime membership, Not that they contacted me
about original receipts even!!!

also, I've just released a new web site some of you might be interested
in. ReferralSWAP! and don't forget you can post your TEXT AD free

happy marketing

Answer to Debbie Mayo-Smith:

My experience in using one (and only one per visit) pop-up asking visitors
to subscribe to my newsletter is great - 150% more subscribers the first month.
Sure many have pop-up killer software installed but not the majority I think.
At least test it - and as long as it is possible to subscribe from your website
also
then you should be covered.

Yes a chapter is necessary because my native language is not English,
so I want to know if the book is full of special words and slang
or is written in English I can understand. Which chapter is not essential.

A content list - yes please - before I buy a paper book I always look through
the list and would like to continue to so online as well.

I like your site easy to navigate and clean nice colours.

Yours in success
Susanne

Confessions of a Recovering MLM Junkie
ByBill Nieporte

Okay, I'll admit it.  I am a junkie.
Well, let's make that a recovering junkie.

 Yes, I was addicted.
 Hallelujah--I am now in recovery!

Nope--I was not addicted to dope or crack...
 I was an MLM junkie.

 Here's my list of MLM/HYIP drugs--er, I mean "programs."

 MarketKing
 GoldMind
 International Wealth Connection
 International Downline Club
 Total Promotion
 Prosper Club
 WTPowers
 Legacy Foundation International
 Load Your Wallet
 Income-Ventures

I know there are others--many others.
-->I just can't remember all the names.  :(

Am I writing to put down or denegrate any of these
 businesses?
Nope!  Not at all!  Not a chance.

My point in writing is to say that "I" became way out of
 focus.
In the process I was running the risk of ruining my
 reputation.
I guess you could say I was feeling a bit guilty.

It's not that I lost grocery money and my wife got made.

Nope!  I am what many might call a "heavy-hitter."
I have a BIG list of friends who follow my suggestions.
I have option list of people who trust me numbering 50,000

(They trusted me more prior to my addiction).

Listen, I can ALWAYS make money.

That's the real source of my guilt.
I was making money--but it felt like blood money.

I can always make money PUSHING "programs"-------
 -->but I can't always help others make money--least not
 everyone!

Eventually somebody joins one day too late--
--and they are mad at me cause it was their grocery money.

They want to succeed--but they can't.
They are smart people--dedicated and motivated, BUT:

They don't have list I have.
They don't know how to market.
They don't know how to write a good sales letter.

So I looked over my list of "programs"--and started to
 remember.
I remember the article I wrote a couple years ago.

Here's the title:   "Don't try to be my "sugar-daddy!"
 Get it now at...
 mailto:sugardaddy@infogeneratorpro.com

 Yeah--I didn't want or need a sugar-daddy.
I could MAKE IT by earning it.
A honest days pay for an honest days work.

But the programs I was PUSHING were making me
 look like a **sugar-daddy**.

"Join my matrix quick and get my spillover!"
(But I never could produce enough for everyone!)

"Join now and your downline will grow like magic!"
 (Yeah--and disappear just as quickly--poof!).

What I offered appealed to the lowest common denominator!
Guess what?  I always got it!

Oh, I made money--but lost friends and hurt my reputation.

Okay, I'll admit it!  I fess up.
I tried to become what I hated...
 I tried to become a sugar-daddy...

My intentions were good.  (Really!) I thought I was helping
 people.

In fact, I thought there were probably fewer people in MLM
who  tried to be as helpful as I was endeavoring to be.  My
 intentions  were great.

But you know what they say about the pavement on the road to
 hell, don't you?

 --paved with good intentions.

Here's the bottom line:  You can never help people succeed
by  offering them a new and creative way to be lazy and wait for
somebody else to do it for them.

 In fact, you cheat them.

So I have narrowed my focus considerably.  Maybe you should
 too!

I promote what I own (my affiliate program and products).

I promote ONE main MLM (one that I can respect for its
integrity, honesty, respect, and great payplan). I have have joined
with a sponsor with whom I can provide tremendous professional
 upline support.

If I join any other "programs"--> they are for the products
More than the income potential.  They are things to help me build
My main business (autoresponders, leads, traffic generators,
 etc.)

Now I have a business plan I can work PROUDLY...NO GUILT AT
 ALL.

So what the lesson?  Is it to join me in my business?

 That's be great--but that's not the point!

The point is that you should get focused.
Stop joining and promoting everything under the sun.
Fluttering about will not get you anywhere...but FOCUS will.

Join ONE solid business with a great sponsor and
give it at least one year of your undivided marketing
 efforts.

Have a never quick attitude.  You'll be amazed at the
 results.

=====================Joke/Thought of the Day   (1)===============

Water - Coke This is really an eye opener....  Water or Coke?
We all know that water is important but I've never seen it written down
 like  this before.

 WATER
 1.  75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.

 2.  In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often
  mistaken for hunger.

 3.  Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

 4.  One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost
100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

 5.  Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

 6.  Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could
significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

 7.  A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory,
trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a
 printed  page.

 8.  Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer
by 45%,  plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50%
less
 likely  to develop bladder cancer.

: and now for the properties of COKE
 1.  In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of
Coke  in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

 2.  You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in
 two  days.

 3.  To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and
let the  "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean.  The citric acid in
Coke
  removes stains from vitreous china.

 4.  To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminium foil dipped
in Coca-Cola.

 5.  To clean corrosion from car battery terminals:
Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

 6.  To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the
 rusted  bolt for several minutes.

 7.  To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan,
wrap the  ham in aluminium foil, and bake.  Thirty minutes before the ham is
finished,  remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a
 sumptuous  brown gravy.

 8.  To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of
greasy  clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.  The Coca-Cola
will  help loosen grease stains.  It will also clean road haze from your
 windshield.

 For Your Info
 1.  The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid.  Its pH is 2.8.  It
will  dissolve a nail in about 4 days.  Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium
from  bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

 2.  To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must
use the  Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive
materials.

 3.  The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of
their  trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?
