I think one of the reasons for the increase in porn
spam is the Klez worm. I was having porn sent from
my email account and thought someone was using
my address.

It turns out Klez attaches to your email and starts
using it to send spam.

Hi Bogdan,

>As I've said before,  the US Constitution with it's right to

>and in my opinion is the cause of ALL Spam.

I have to say I disagree with this comment, because the U.S.
is not the only country that believes in Freedom of Speech -
as we do as well, in Canada. However, Andy has made a
valid point about all of: "email harvesting programs and mass
mailer Companies were BANNED there would be no spam".

That is true enough and why is it that these domains can be
registered in the first place? Including all Adult related sites.
Clearly, there needs to be some kind of registrar regulations
put into effect or a place where a person can complain to
someone about registrars or web hosts that allow this sort
of thing to go on. Because there are several hosts and ISP's
that outright ignore your complaints due to the "Almighty

Spam Cop is NOT the answer NOR are any of the other
Anti- Spam Facists handling this problem appropriately
or effectively. A lot of spam could be elminated with proper
education given by ISP's and host's - of which the majority
do NOT currently do. They simply tell you NOT to spam, but
if a person does NOT know what on earth Spam is - HOW
are they supposed to know that they are NOT supposed to
be doing it?

Tighter security on free email is also a possible solution.
I am certain that most of you have by now, have seen or
have had to click on a "security link" to confirm an ezine
subscription or membership into a program. Why not use
this same security to tighten up free email account usage
and at the same time log the person's I. P. Address?

Although, I am well aware of software that can disguise a
person's I. P. Address, certainly every spammer online
does NOT have that "capability" available to them. Surely
Yahoo, Hotmail etc. can afford to implement something of
that nature.

I have a anti-virus software from and it is free and
better than Norton, in my opinion.  I would not use Norton again if someone
poured it on me and yes I bought and gave it away.  This program stooped virus
that Norton didn't.  To test it against Norton I had them both on the system
just to see how good it was and now it is the one I use.

This program may be free but it is the best anti-virus software that I have ever
used.  It updates automatically, you do not have to go to the site for updates
nor pay for them, you set it for the time that you want it to scan your system
and you can also set it to scan incoming and outgoing mail.  They also have a
paid version but you still can update automatically and FREE.  I have never like
it when you buy software and then have to turn around and pay for the update all
the time.  Just my 2 cents worth.

From:Robert Lee
Subject:Robert Lee's recent site reviews

Hi Bogdan and all,

I have been a reader of Adlands Digest for a very long time. I have always found
a great deal of useful information in the weekly digest and have endeavored to
help others create an income online without having to go through countless
hoops, shattered dreams and wasted effort. All of that must start with a website
that has content, that promotes products not income ventures (MLM) and is
something that one can call their own, regardless of what others may think. I
have personally decided that the best way for people to earn an online income is
to be an affiliate and create a website with compelling content and let someone
else sell the product, you earn a commission for the referral. Of course, if you
have a product and some business acumen, so much the better. But if you want to
start out and have little money to begin with, affiliate programs are the way to

Now I know that all of the MLM'ers out there will say that this is what they do
as well, but it's not the same. Affiliate programs don't force you to purchase a
product to resell. Or ask you to say that you have the product, have used the
product and endorse the product without you ever having purchased or used it.

My reviews are my personal opinions of the websites that I visit. I earn my
living doing exactly that, reviewing websites and their services.

I noticed that in the last issue there were some replies about my reviews. Some
positive, some negative. Maybe you see my reviews as harsh, maybe you think that
I am a horrid person for being so outspoken for something that is "your own
creation". So be it.

Just ask yourself, "If an experienced webmaster sees this (the review request)
as "just a cheap ploy to get us to visit your site" you would need to as
yourself why does he see this?

Ronald said in the last digest:
Robert I am hurt and appalled that you would accuse me of such a cheap stunt. I
spent months writing the ebook I researched many personal
development strategies to teach people how to pull themselves up by their own
bootstraps and show them how to change their lives. I identify with the newbies,
allowing them to join for free as an affiliate or by purchasing the ebook
package earning commissions six levels deep. This is my creation! Robert someone
has to create the programs we see and join, not everyone is an affiliate trying
to get free exposure. I am the creator and founder. My blood, sweat and tears
went into the creation of this program.

Before I officially launch I want the opinion, of the Ad Digest Subscribers.
Opinions that I value and highly regard. Does it appeal to them? Does it have
value? what else does it need? What can I do to make it better? I am the creator
and founder and I am asking for your help.

Ronald, you hide your website behind this url:
The first thing that it tells me is that you have an affiliate site that has a
very bad web address, maybe a geocities or freeservers free web site? Something
that needs a forwarding url to seem professional. Even though this is not
actually the fact, it is the result of how your site url appears!

And I noticed that your site is designed by "Synergy Interactive Marketing" at
Is this also your own website? Do you work for these Simcoweb people? Why is
there no other information about yourself, your services etc at

It must be, since you designed and created all of the information at So I also took a look there, looking for information of
you, about you, etc (which, by the way, was sadly missing from your web site. I
have to ask myself why?), we have seen many other MLM sites that hide the owners
identity. All for purposes that become crystal clear, months after the last of
the checks have been cashed. Although your  "6 levels deep" ebook sales may earn
someone somewhere a few dollars, I have my doubt about the possibilities of your
program, and this is the forum for me to comment about your program/ebook.

Ronald, if your true goal is for us to evaluate your program and/or product, why
not supply is with some of your chapters? Where are the samples? I do not stand
corrected by you.

Here are a few of your web site claims:
Learn to create a business with a wealth building mindset
Learn to foresee what others will do before they do it.
Learn AMillionaireMind problem solving techniques
Learn to stay focused and eliminate distractions
Learn to keep your cool even when others are losing theirs.
Learn to lead by example, attracting others to follow you easily and
Build strategic alliances with those that work as hard as you do.
Learn to research businesses that you take into consideration
Discover how to apply the power of positive attraction.

All possible beginning with the purchase of your $29.95 ebook.

It sounds suspicious to me. Just because I personally don't recommend any MLM
programs doesn't mean that some people can't make money from them. Usually the
first joiners and insiders, but that is besides the point, right Ronald?

But your comments as illustrated above seem to be repeated throughout the web on
several different MLM websites. They all speak with the same tongue, which means
that such compelling text does attract people and separate them from their money
so they can begin traveling the "road to riches!"

You are listed at:

Well Ronald, how well did the "Million Dollar Emails" sell for you?
Should I even bother looking for a site review request for this older version of

all of the Adlands Digest for future reference!) and didn't see a review

At least your research for your current product found a great title.

Ronald, you have received my review of your website. You have my opinion and now
have the option of affecting the opinions of more than 25,000 other readers of
the Adlands Digest. I am sure that we all look forward to your response.

William added this about the review I did for his website:
Sorry Robert. But I offer much more than affiliate programs. There's free
classifieds websites, viral marketing plans, downline building programs, and
other affordable internet businesses. It seems he don't like affordable money
making opportunities to say the least. Either way, it is a good ideal not to
blow too much smoke.

END Quote.

William, I have only one question for you: Out of all of the programs you list,
all of the affiliate programs you have links to programs you encourage others to
purchase, which single one of them has earned you any money 'that you yourself
have purchased and used'?

I look forward to your answer. And as far as your web design goes, it is still
awful. Go to and get yourself a domain name. Go to and at least get the free hosting package.

Then spend a little time and figure out how to make "compelling content" on a
website work for you.

Well, sorry to all the Adlanders out there that had to read through this post.

But I hope that you have learned a little that will help you to earn a lot!
There is no hope for many people that turn to the Internet as an possible income

us to voice our opinions, to look to our fellow marketers for advice, opinions
and yes, even scathing web site reviews. If you want to hear only good things

good things about your website, design a good one. If you want to hear great

Mr. Lee,  were you blessed at birth with all of the necessary skills to succeed
in online business?
I think you are forgetting that we 'all had to start somewhere' as Rikie stated
in the last issue.
A site review is just that - a review. It isn't a license to provoke anger and

I propose that Mr. Lee  submit HIS site for review. Considering his extensive

Hi all.  I am requesting a review for a site I am creating for my mums.
Currently it can be seen at .  It is just a
forwarded url for now as I am working on it and have not gotten her
domain set up yet however that will be done soon.  The feedback am
looking for is regarding ease of navigation and help at reducing the
size of the graphics.  Also I am curious as how the site looks on
different platforms and resolutions.  I have Netscape and I.E however I
have not tried the site on a Mac or Web T.V. so if any of you are using
that any feedback would be appreciated.  As far as a shopping cart goes
I think for the time being to keep the cost down for my mom I will
probably set her up for Pay Pall until we add some more products and
kind of get an idea of the response before she shells out the 80.00 or
so a month it is going to take to add the full e-commerce capabilities.

I have notice by doing searches on Yahoo for this type of site that the
metta tags don't seem to make as much difference on the search results
as does who you are linked to.  I think for her site, hand crafted web
sites would be good for linking.

Also I know there has been some bad comments made about frames however I
like the functionality in this particular case.  Also I am going to add
in the header with the tag <noframes> tag a complete code for the page
without the frames.  Not that I am really concerned about browsers that
don't use them however I am looking to have the code there for the
search engines.

Any comments appreciate.....even yours Robert! :-)

Good copy on the Home Page. Talk about the quality of your products. The value
and pride that comes with ownership of this product.

At first I thought you might change the links to more normal quick loading

some good copy with a reasonable use of key words on the Home page would help
with your Search Engine listing.

You have some beautiful products and if you had a link page, I would love to

Hello Binod,

As for a business website with carpets and such,
your site looks ok.
I just have a few things to mention, and maybe it's
something beyond your control, but it annoys me

1. It is slow - not just slow, but slow slow... :)
The images loads very slow and for some reason
the "preload images" does not work. The images
which should be replaced when you do the
mouse-over-thing, are not pre-loaded.

2. Perhaps a further explanation are needed
in the page where you offer the visitors a
business opportunity - something about what
they can expect and what's in it for them.

3. Use META TAGS keywords. Just in case
that you add your links to any search engine.
Some of them still use the Meta Tags, and
could they bring in a few hundreds a week,
that'd be worth some too.
A good example would be in your business
opportunity page - the keywords there could
give you visitors that wouldn't come around
unless they searched for "carpets, wool etc.."
and there by give your site a bigger exposure.

Well, I hope I wasn't to cruel on you :)

Kind regards,

Kim B. Juul

Maybe I'm trying to be all things to all people, but I do have my reasons for
designing the site the way I did. At any rate, I would love to get some opinions
as to the site, and it's over all appeal and the information contained on it.

END quote

John, you're right, you are trying to be all things to all people. Find one or
two programs and go for it.
There is nothing wrong with offering a diverse amount of content to have a forum
to advertise your affiliate programs, it can be what draws traffic to your site,
but stop joining so many different programs!

I'd bet that the reason you are having such a hard time redoing your website
from earlier versions is because of all the affiliate programs you currently
advertise for you don't know which are earning you anything, if any of them are
earning you anything at all!

Navigation on your site is inconsistent. It should be top and bottom, not just
one or the other. Or right side and bottom, or left side and bottom.

Happy selling!

Hi Cathy.

I have to say you have a good thing going. It's real affordable compared to
other internet businesses that cost over $500 to start. The one good ideal that
will make the most difference  is to offer weekly confrence calling to your
prospects. Also it could be used as training calls for everyone who are members.
Keep up the good work .

Hi John,

Nice website. Well, on the Cash Evolution page. Switch your banner to a text
link and that will be more effective. I myself already join that program a month

Hello Bogdan,

A few weeks ago you ran a website review request for
me. Mr. Andy Sparks took the time by responding to
my review with very valuable advice that I followed.

I want to thank both of you for your help. I'm still
working on it but there is such a big difference by
knocking out all the stuff I had on the left side of
the page. Andy was right, unnecessary distractions.

Warmest Regards,
Debbie Paul

Hi Ronald,

I see that you have registered My main question
is if AMillionaireMind is your creation:

Why are you using,
a redirection URL?

Also, don't add miscellaneous links to the
right side of your website and below.
Your main focus needs to be on selling
the ebook.

After the initial purchase, you now have their
contact info. This is when you ought to send them
additional information, including how the links
would benefit them.

God Bless,
Yoon Ho Um

Want A Successful Newsletter? Apply The 5 "P's" ...
By Mike Merz

Online newsletters/ezines number in the hundreds of thousands, and
the total is ever increasing.

How can, and will, you compete?

If you want your offering to stand out, plug it into the 5 "P's" formula ...

Purpose - Are you giving your target market what they want?
Make sure that you provide fresh content, updates on newly released,
related resources, etc., geared to the specific needs and interests of
your subscribers.

How do you find out what they are? Ask them (polls, respond requests)!
You may also want to look at your industry's "heavy hitters".
Subscribe to, and study, their offerings.
Applying the techniques that work for them can help you, as well.

Personality - You simply must develop your own style if you're going to

This is of extreme importance.

Lose the hype, and interact with your subscribers as if you were
talking to each one honestly, personally.
This will help build a bond of trust, and aids self branding.

Personalize -  I'll say it again, as it's worth repeating ...
Interact with your subscribers as if you were talking to each one,
personally! Use name tags, if this is an available option,
whenever possible (I prefer "first name" only. Having first AND last
looks too automated). If it isn't, you may want to change your delivery
method to a service that allows them.

Participation - Build interest by featuring member responses.
Testimonials, question and answer feedback, etc.
Showing peer involvement will help fuel interest, spur interaction.

Punctuality - Try to maintain a regular delivery schedule.
Not only will this reflect your dedication to professionalism, and
organization, it gives your readers something planned to look forward
Helpful Hint - Run an article, or free course, *series*, whenever
possible. This will give your members even more of a reason to read
the next, and subsequent, issues.

Well, there you have it.

Match your newsletter up to the 5 "P's criteria, and I'm sure your
subscribers, and you, will benefit from the results.

To make your newsletter everything it can be, from content to building
a bigger subscriber base, I recommend Paul Myers' Amazing List Machine

Good luck in your ventures.

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

You are driving along on a wild stormy night. You pass by a
bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

 1. An old lady who is about to die.

 2. An old friend who once saved your life.

 3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose, knowing that there could only be
one passenger in your car. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once
actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old
lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or
you could take the old friend because he/she once saved your life, and
this would be the perfect chance to pay him/her back. However, you may
never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no
trouble coming up with his answer. Think before you continue reading.

He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old
friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and
wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our
stubborn thought limitations (think outside the square).
