Alec,
Some nice pictures you have there. Your first mistake is submitting anything to
FFA pages and most free classified sites, not Adland of course. All you are
going to get is Thank you's and offers to look at or join some opportunity or
other. With a site like this, you are much better off, visiting other Art sites,
and asking to exchange links, after you have made a Favorite Links page of
course. And Alec, get some Meta Tags on that site, it's all set up for them, all
you have to do is add them.
I do have a question though, what are you trying to do with this site? Other
then showing off your work and promoting Register.com that is. If you hope to
sell a painting, make the offer on the site.
As far as talking with people online, look for message boards that are about Art
or painting, and join and get to know the folks posting there.

Well, I can see by your comments you have made up your mind about GP. You have
taken all the wonderfully unbiased information on the Scam site and forums and
wrapped yourself in it. Lawsuits filed, money owed, Alan 2 feet from doing jail
time. That's fine, while you are wallowing in that negative wonderland, I will
be using the GP Portal site and earning while I do it. Sure, not everything is
there yet, but more is being added almost daily. All members, free and those of
us crazy enough to have paid into this are now earning a little something using
the site.
Funny with all the legal stuff you talked about, you would think the site has
not changed in months or has gone bye-bye. Instead of adding content, tracking,
the Shopping Mall and the rest. You would think after all this time, no one
would care. To bad you can't get into the Message boards right now and read
about all the excitement the non-caring members have. These are Happy People.
Have mistakes been made, Yes. Has it taken WAY to long to get this Baby off the
Bottle, YES. Will we have all the things we were told about right away, No. Will
most of them show up as we get further down the road from Launch, Yes, most of
them. Can anyone join GP for Free and earn, Yes. Do they have to spend money to
join the Premier Members, No. Will everyone who joins GP Make a Ton of Money,
No. But will they earn for their site usage, Yes. Will they earn more if they
invite some friends to join for free, Yes.
Gee, the Service Activation Page Just went live today (7/9/02) and I notice I've
even earned some cash for the little I've run around. Not much yet, but it's
better then what AOL pays me. Will I earn even more as my downline gets going,
Yes. And more and more stores are set up at the Mall, Cool. Oh well, just keep
reading the stuff on that site and forum.

Hello Adlanders,
First let me explain I have been on the Internet for 3 years
and a subscriber of this newsletter for almost the same length
of time so I am not a newbie. Yet, I find myself in a new
"situation" and need advice.
It's not about marketing as I definitely paid my dues with 16
hour days, 7 days a week to learn how to do this. In fact, I
ended up with a product which allows people to "market smarter
not harder" because I had zero dollars to invest for
advertising, etc when I started.
Quite a few of the people who have purchased my product (i.e.,
1350 "Useful Link" ebook and other non-fiction ebooks I've
written) would like to offer them from their sites and thus
want to become affiliates.
And this is where I draw a blank and need advice. My attitude
was "who needs the headaches" but as more requests come in, I
need to address this issue.
So I guess what I'm asking is for fellow Adlanders to go to my
site at http://www.agoodread.com and
check out if my products
are:
1) Really something that could make money for affiliates?
Because if it's not a win-win situation for both parties I
don't want to do it. I am a firm believer in "sharing is the
key to all our success" and anything that goes against this
principle, I don't want to do.
2) If you're answer is yes to the above, I need advice
(explanations) on how to do this in the most ethical manner.
In other words, how you set up your program and/or which
companies you use to keep track of sales from affiliates.
A detailed account of the pros and cons of affiliate programs
would be deeply appreciated. If this takes away time from what
I love "writing, painting and marketing on the Internet" then I
really don't want to be involved. On the other hand, if having
affiliates is easy, makes money for the other person and
requires very little time, then yes, maybe I should be doing
this.
I will leave in your hands to help me come up with an answer.

Hi Rendon,
Before I get into the topic. I want to mention that
last week on the McLaughlin Group, there was talk of
United State turning into a police state because of
the new Patriot Bill being signed into act. Which
means the U.S. Government can snoop into your personal
or business online activities.
By the way since they introduced the internet in the
first place. ByA. T. Rendon mentioned in a recent
article that the person(s) who find a solution of
elimination of spam will go down in history as a hero.
On the topic of undeliverable mail. The main culprit
falls entirely on the people who subscribe to ezines,
newsletters, safelists etc, etc. then use
anti-spamming software, filters, and blocks. Or Just
plain stupidity by signing up with too many ezines and
safelist with no means to maintain their email box.
End result, a full box.
The person being made a hero that solve the spamming
problem sends up alarm bells on the grand scale. Since
I keep up to date on religious programming. Could that
person indeed be the anti-Christ? Is this the only
reason the Governments turn a blind eye about the
issue until this person emerges.
I suppose some God fearing people could get upset at
me since I mentioned "anti-christ". Well what does
that have to do with spamming! The person will
consider him of her a saint when they solve every
problem that plaqes us today

Karl,
Karl I am truly sorry for all that I am about to say. I am sure you are fine
person who is trying really hard, but....... You don't have a site here, you
have a Banner Barn. The Home page took so long to load I could feel my hair
growing. And then you added a popup to the mix. Then you try to tell me you are
some kind of Marketing genius. And You've got .gif's and Banners, and Buttons,
and scrolling text, and popups all over and pop under's too.
This site should be titled, "TheWayNotdaGo.com"
Then you go on to talk about a Business Plan and on one of the other pages I
visited (I gave up with all the Banners and junk, after 4 pages) that You have
been building Websites for 2 years, and one of them gets 10,000 hits a day? I
would hate to see your other sites. They must be something completely different
if they got that many hits. Question, how many people really visit your other
pages, how many really get passed the LONG Load time of the Home page? I can't
believe anyone hangs around a site like the one I just viewed. I can't believe
anyone even waits for the Home page to load. DSL or Cable maybe, but not most of
the rest of us still on dial up.
And there is an Award Logo toward the bottom of a VERY long list of small
banners on the left side of the page, when there is NOTHING on the right or
center of most of the pages after you scroll down, just a LONG list of banners
and that Award thing. That in and of it's self tells me that Website design
Awards are not worth even thinking about.
Sorry to say, this site deserves the Award for one of the Worst Marketing site
on the Web. Not the worst, I have seen worse.
And keep the same back ground for all the pages, helps the load time. Not that
load time is anything you even thought about when you plastered this thing
together.
I think, somewhere under all the banners, scrolling text, popups and junk, you
may have an idea. I am not sure, but I think there is one there. I am not a
great fan of Paid to read E-mails or their programs. Almost no one is going to
make anything doing that unless they build a Massive downline. And not many are
able to do that.
Karl, other then the affiliate stores on your site, you have ONE real business
opportunity, and that is Cognigen. IF you WORK that it will pay you FAR more
that all the Paid to read E-mail garbage on your site. My own opinion.
The good thing, at least you went to some text links on one of your pages. Thank
the Lord. You really need to take a good course in Web design and think about
what makes people stay on a site and come back to it. If I never visit your site
again, I will die happy.
Maybe I am out to lunch on this, maybe I am wrong in my believe that this is one
of the poorest marketing sites ever. And maybe the sun won't come up tomorrow.
Maybe all the Banners, .gif's, scrolling text saying "see you all after
Labor
Day" got to me and I am over reacting. Maybe..........and maybe I just won
the
Lotto.

As for Robert's opinion about the site update I disagree. Personally, as a
visitor, I like to KNOW I'm visiting a site that is being CURRENTLY
maintained. I've visited sites that make offers that I'm interested in,
and
then I see the site was last updated in the year 1999 - I quickly move on,
quite sure, I've just stumbled onto a site that is no longer being maintained.
Maybe I'm wrong to do so, but as a consumer, I need this confidence.
If you're selling products or services at your site, I feel the site update date
is
very important, for it gives your buyers the confidence to know, they're
purchasing from someone who is actively running and maintaining their business.
This is simply an opinion from my consumer point of view, so I try to make
sure, as a business owner to meet that and provide my customers the confidence
that I seek as a consumer.
This is just another angle to consider the site update date.

Hi I notice that you were looking for a site review.
Well here it Goes.
First I like the site and the design. On the paid to
get email part. Not many of them are worthwhile to be
in. The Hits 4 pay and email Pays U are great. I would
keep them. The Get Paid 5 times is good. I would get
rid of interboss and emailpartner because they
garbage.
Who wants those nickel and dime anyways. not me for
instance. It makes me wonder if the site was worth the
time and effort you put in. As I look every day at
other sites hosted at shopping malls. Not many are
making anything at all.
I would seriously think about adding something more
realistic besides paid to read email.

I think Robert Lee will have more to say on your site then I do, but for the
record, it is a very nice clean site. Loads quick and everything is laid out
clearly. One thing I noticed that maybe you could have changed is the links.
Every time I clicked off the Home Page the links on the left changed to
something different. If I wanted to check out the cost from the "How it
Works"
page, I had to back up and that's is not a good thing. You should make the links
on the left the same on all the pages.
The other thing I noticed was the reference to this being a site for Kenyans to
meet other people. One thing you have to remember, the Web is not in this or
that country, it is everywhere. The Web and your site and service are World
Wide. I know you go on to say it is open to all, but I would not restrict it at
all. Maybe reword that part so we do not feel like we are not going to have any
benefit if we are not from Kenya.
Just my own thoughts, I wish you good luck with the site and the service.

Nice Looking site,
I don't know why you would be having trouble with the Search Engines. I see the
Meta Tags are there and in the right place. I am not familiar with Galaxy Malls
and how their set-up works, but the site looks great. Clean and comforting. I
clicked on the links and all the pages seem to be set up very well. Some take
longer to load then I would like, but not that long.
The only concern I have is the lay out of the Home page. You have the Special
Report E-mail request right up near the top. I would move this down. You want
the visitors to read more about the product and it's benefits before you ask
them to send for the Report. Move that down the page. Also, there is a lot of
white space toward the bottom of the Home Page that I don't see on the others.
Move everything up to tighten the whole look.
I am not sure, but maybe one of the reasons the Search Engines are having a hard
time with the site, is that request form up so high on the page. They read left
to right, top to bottom and that form may be leaving them cold. Get your
information in before that form. The information that includes more of your
Keywords. I don't know for sure, but it might help.
For what it's worth, I would move the Report request down the page, after your
text information, and tighten up the lower half of the Home page so there is not
so much white space in-between things. And if you can think of anymore Keywords
to add to the page and the Tags do it. Then resubmit the sit and see what you
get.
You have done a very nice job with the site other then the little things I just
pointed out.

Here is my honest opinion:
-your site looks like a talmesh-balmesh of buttons, that have nothing to do with
each other
-you don't tell your visitor what your site is about
-I don't get what Home, Apparel, Art, Auto, etc. have to do with Internet
Marketing System
-the colors (yellow on grey) are hard to read
-you have way too many colors, and it gets tiring
-you have too many pop-ups and pop-unders
-your pages have different backgrounds (not a good thing when you want people to
remember who you are)
