-------------------------------------------------

My name is Chris Gibson and I want to SHARE some vital information rather than
"sell" you today.

I want to tell you that at one time I used to post my messages to all the FREE
Classifieds and FFA pages - just like you are - and I discovered, just like I
bet you are discovering, that they just do not work -all you get back is mostly
junk. I must have bought every GURU's manual on advice on how to make this work
and I did this for over a year and made 0 dollars for all my efforts -I wanted
so bad to be able to say I was winning in my business but I, like very many, could
not.

NOW, I am able to market so effectively that I want to share my tactics with
you. You know, word about my success with this is even getting widespread. I
wish I could get everyone who has lost money or spends hours a day trying to
make things work to just be open enough to read this. You just need to find out
what I did.

=================Thanks For The $22,426.80!!=====================
From:Toney Marshall

Hello Bogdan!

Please forgive me . .because this "Thank You" is long
overdue!

Allow me to get right to the point.

In May, 2001, I submitted a Poem to you, entitled
"COMFORT ZONE".  You instructed me to add a Signature
Block, which I did, and here's what happened:

You published my Poem in Issue #242 (May 14, 2001).

1.  I was immediately contacted by your subscribers
who had Ezines, and Newsletters of their own,
requesting permission to publish my Poem in
    their Publications as well!

2.  Without marketing, promoting, or soliciting ANYONE,
    I sold 18 of my best-selling "How-To" course,
    SuperMarket Magic, at $69.95 ea. (plus $15.00 S & H)!
These were sold thru the link in my Sig. Block.

CONCLUSION:

a.  The ADLAND DIGEST Subcribers are EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE!!

b.  For the Beginners out there, let this be a lesson in the
power of "Signature Blocks"!!  I would encourage anyone
to add a Sig. Block to all their outgoing emails!

BUT THIS ISN'T EVEN THE "TIP" OF THE ICEBERG!!

Bogdan, once a month I religiously submit my website,

http://www.groceryguru.com/toney

to the Search Engines, using the "FREE" version of
WorldSubmitter,

http://www.worldsubmitter.com/?toneyem

In the month of May, 2001, two INCREDIBLE things happened!!

1.  My Grocery Guru website (above) EXPLODED into the #1
position on every MAJOR Search Engine!!
    (KEYWORD: "groceryguru")

2.  Your Issue #242 EXPLODED into the #2 position on every
    MAJOR Search Engine as well!
    (KEYWORD:  "groceryguru")

Bogdan, there are literally thousands of SuperMarket Magic
Distributors (my "How-To" Course), and because of my Search
Engine placement, I immediately started receiving ORDERS
($84.95) from THEIR marketing efforts!!

WE HELD THE #1 AND #2 POSITIONS FOR AN AMAZING 9 MONTHS!!

In May of this year, I stopped to tally up the results of
this one-year phenomenon...and guess what??  Over the
course of a year . . I AVERAGED 22 ORDERS PER MONTH, AT
$84.95 PER ORDER, FOR A TOTAL OF $22,426.80!!!

If you were to go to Google, or Yahoo right now and do
a search you will find that, 15 months later . . .

WE'RE STILL LISTED IN THE TOP 10!!  (KEYWORD: "groceryguru")

In all honesty, Bogdan, I am a full-time entrepreneur, and I
have made a true, six-figure Income in each of the 4 years
that I have marketed SuperMarket Magic.  However, the extra
$22,000+ that I got from this allowed me to purchase a brand
new PT Cruiser . . CASH MONEY!!

CONCLUSION:

a.  There are many long, drawn-out, complicated maneuvers
that others would tell you to use in order to get
placed in the Top 20 on Search Engines.   But NONE OF
THEM are guaranteed to get you there.

I am "proof-positive" that "LINK POPULARITY" is the fastest
easiest, most hassle-free way for the Little Guy to
    get there!!

b.  Never underestimate the POWER of Search Engines!

Bogdan, thanks once again for publishing my Poem, "Comfort
Zone".  Also, thanks for the $22,426.80!!  I also know that
you should have received "mad traffic" for your issue
#242.  I hope you were able to convert some of them into
faithful subscribers for Adland Digest!

Take Care!

Subject:Universal Language?

Hi Debbie and fellow Adlanders,
HOORAY FOR DEBBIE !!!!!
Thankyou Debbie for making this point so eloquently.  In the few short years I
have been on the internet I have been 'constantly' annoyed by having to correct
spelling mistakes in every ad I post in my ezine and constantly niggled by the
blatant 'Americanisation' of every site.
I was taught at school and at home the importance of speaking correctly and at
the same time I was taught the English language.  There is a reason it is called
ENGLISH.  I personally am in Australia and although we have certain
colloquialisms to our everyday speech I still feel that I am obliged to use
correct English in my ezine and on my site.  I know that if I am reading someone
else's site and the English is poor, it distracts me and I soon depart.
However, I do acknowledge the part the American nation and it's people have
played in making the internet what it is today.  I just wish they would remember
they didn't do it ALL and that their population is only a small percentage of
the World's population.
In other words,....... Hey you guys!! remember the rest of us visit here
sometimes too! :-)

Free Store Club

Thanks for your review GingerMarie. I too had joined
EMM/Free Store Club (just as a free member) and was
impressed with the initial email series. I wondered,
"Hmm maybe they have  new approach worth checking out."

But looking at it further, they tell you they are different
from MLM, but they are really the same. I love
MLM/networking and don't appreciate that they will add to
the bad rap legitimate MLMs have to constantly counter.

Besides, their site looks homemade. Mine looks a bit
homemade too! (And it is!) But for $50/month, I would
expect much better. I almost stayed in it because a web
marketer I respect got in under someone making $20,000
per month there. But she came to the same conclusion and
we have both cancelled.

Hi Bogdan,

Being interested in promoting freestoreclub
I am grateful for this revealing discussion on
it's merits and demerits - currently demerits only.

But reading through the discussions it struck me
that such incisive revelations could also end up
stopping a program from going the wrong way
and actually end up improving it if the company
itself were made aware of the discussions about it.

There is every possibility the original honorable
intentions may have got diluted or delayed and some
constructive criticism is all that's needed to correct
the situation. (too optimistic?)

I thank Bogdan for allowing this discussion, and
thanks GingerMarie Douglas-Geracitano too.
I like freestoreclub's info and would want to see them
succeeding genuinely and I hope future responses will
help them. Of course I would like very much to hear
from the company itself.

Can this be arranged Bogdan?

Sincerely,

Jerome Dsouza.

Hi Bogdan,

RE: FreeStoreClub....  continued...

How FAST The Internet develops and evolves...
and companies adapt and correct themselves!
I was reading the Adland Digest... (where I had
said that my FreeStoreClub commissions had
been 'rolled over' into $10 'hosting payments'.....)

At that precise moment, there was a cheque /
check from them waiting in my mail-box, plus a
Company Update email that said:
FreeStoreClub has added two new, experienced
support staff to answer customer queries, is now
planning to translate its material and sites into
many languages, and also that it now offers the
InterCash debit card as a way of paying commissions.
A visit to the site will show that they are running new servers.....
Things change..... A bit of faith and persistence
will pay off with this opportunity now as they seem
to be digging in for the long haul and the Global
reach:-  (bet they'll translate into Chinese?)

Oh, how 'the innovators'  (GP, CE, FSC....)  are
the ones that get the brunt of the destructive noisy
criticism!  I say, 'just give them time to prove
themselves....'    Give 'em a fair go mate.

Outsiders looking in.

All these comments from people that don't work the
program. Interesting, but all one sided..
I haven't experienced any of the so called problems
these readers have.
Maybe if they had actually upgraded and become
affiliates and worked with it they might have a better
insight.
This is not an overnight get rich quick deal. It takes
time and effort like all other worthwhile programs to
make money.
I'm making money with EMM.
I presently am receiving 5 new signups a day on my
smaller side. It is growing on its own.
My strong side is growing by a hundreds a day.
To all people I find in my down-line I send them this
information page to help them market.
http://www.sdcowboy.net/info.html

All the odd names are handles people wish to use
instead of their own names. Mine happens to be
spendit.
I have personally sponsored over 70 people into this
program and my down line has grown to over 100,000
Since March 1.
Like any  program I help the people that come into my
group.
My sponsoring efforts have helped thousands of people.

I'm presently building everything under a disabled
lady in Colorado that I have never met. I think this
is one of the best programs on the Internet, for
people new to making money on the Internet.
Its not real complicated.

As for contacting the company I've never had an
trouble. They have even called me on the phone and
given me a number to call back.

Its been paying off. As for the products. Many people
buy here and then resell on ebay. I have enjoyed the
quality of the products I have bought.
I don't think there is anything better out there, for
people who actually want to work with it.

You can sign up for free, take the 7 day free
marketing course and then decide to upgrade to an
affiliate for as little as $10 if you wish. If and
when you get serious about marketing this you can
upgrade to Gold to make more money. Or you can
downgrade to just the free member status if you so
choose.
There is no risk that I can see.

But then I'm on the inside (where the money is)
looking out.

Subject:CASHevolution

In an attempt to create even more fuss for the
CASHevolution program Mark Joyner created
a 3rd party due diligence report attached to a
CGI script which he then told all his downline
to promote heavily.

They do this using an affiliate URL which looks
like: http://www.aesop.com/ce.html?quickpro

The mail you receive tells you to sign up and
then replace the affiliate ID at the end with yours.

So how effective is it?

It could be very effective but not so much for those
who are using it. I shall expand...

It's no secret that many people will trim an affiliate
URL back to stop their unknown sponsor from
earning money off their backs. If they do that you
would end up with a URL that looks like this:
http://www.aesop.com/ce.html or this:
http://www.aesop.com/ce.html?
Either way it is interesting to see who gets the
credit if you follow it through to sign up.

Another fun game to try is to be a non-member
and replace the affiliates ID with anything at all,
perhaps your own name:
http://www.aesop.com/ce.html?adrian

Click on it and watch what happens!

Amazingly you appear to become a member
even if you aren't ...but don't be fooled because
follow it all the way through to sign up stage and
you will see who is really going to get the credit.

I suppose if you keep on sending out the URL
to that report the only question remaining is
DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?

Sincerely,

Adrian Elman

Subject:CASHevolution

Strange that nobody has mentioned the New Zealand
Commerce Commission's warning to CE about them
being in breach of 4 laws including running a pyramid.

While Craig Mayo is getting his 'wordsmiths' to revamp
the site it should be noted that no matter how much
one alters the wording the program remains the same.
Therefore it will not escape the wrath of the Commerce
Commission.

In the US, the SEC are also hot onto CE, not because
they are a US based company but because their client
base in the US is supposed to be marketing investment
advice as the product. All affiliates will be required to
register as Dealers (the company acts as the broker),
if and when CE actually begins to offer specific advice
or recommendations on investment opportunities.

To date, CE have made no attempt to register for the
sale of securities in NZ even though they are aware of
their obligation to do so.

As to Mark Joyner not recommending anything illegal
because of his revered reputation, one would imagine
that he would have enough experience to have known
they were running a pyramid operation, and yet his
promotions did not quieten down until the Commerce
Commission confirmed that.

People will follow Mark Joyner into whatever he signs
up with, partly because of the hype he uses to present
an opportunity with, and partly because of his fame as
one of the longer standing internet marketing gurus.
Nobody could consider they were being manipulated
and yet Mark's signature proudly boasts "Author of
Mind Control Marketing" -- Forgive me if I smile.

It may well turn out that the owners of CE will get their
program to conform with the law but until that time all
affiliates should be wary of the methods and language
they use to promote this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Adrian Elman

All of a sudden they disappeared and I have only 1 left, who has not paid.

Like a dummy, I paid my membership again for this month and got to
thinking about it and decided to cancel my membership the next day.  I have
written many emails to Cash Evolution asking to cancel and to please credit my
credit card.
This has been going on for about 8 days now.  They keep saying they will
do this, but nothing has happened yet.

I am very disappointed in Cash Evolution.  Where did my downline go?  I'm
sure they were in my downline in Build Referrals.  (It is hard to tell, because
there are no names, just email addresses).

<-->

You are not the only one this has happened to.

Strange things are going on with some members. Downlines which appear and
then disappear the next day. A friend of mine had 11 in her downline and they
all disappeared. CE also asked her for more money as they had not validated
her membership.

I am not sure if she is still a member, but if they do not fix it soon, she
will not be.

Here I am again,

Boy, a lot of you took me to task for my comments about CE last week. So, I will
make a few remarks and leave the CE discussion and the future of CE for History
to decide. No, that doesn't mean I am quitting CE, I am just getting tired of
all the back and forth.

Laurence,

I agree with you in that FreeStoreClub could be some kind of scam, or at least
not going to be anything like what they talk about it being. I am staying as far
away from this one as I can get.

There are lots of stories about Companies that were once thought to be solid
investments, that tanked for a lot of reasons. I don't think it's fair to rank
CE with Enron and WorldCom. Let's give them time to build themselves into a
Multimillion dollar Company and mess up the books before we stick them with the
Enron label.

I hope to be on that Winners Podium with you, fellow millionaire trainee.

Robert Lee,

<<I am shocked and dismayed to hear this from you:>>

I am sorry you are so taken aback by my comments. I guess I missed your report
on the ScamReport.org from Issue #298. I fail to see what the problem is with
how young this site is. Everyone has to start sometime. I guess that means they
are a shill for CE. Oh what a World...

I know, Robert that you call them as you see them, and so do I. I just see it
differently then you do, that's all. I think CE is worth keeping an eye on and
being a member of, at least for the time being. I have been developing my nose
for garbage programs quite a bit since the days way back when I was defending
SkyBiz. That one opened the eyes a lot.

As for Mark Joyner, he will always be keeping his eye out for interesting
programs. So do I. I just don't join all of them. I have no interest in the
latest ISP MLM, that VIP thing. To risky for this old horse. And that internet
phone booth thing that was so HOT a while ago, VERY BIG Risk, far too scary.
And asking for Way To Much Cash from people like little old me.

See, I don't join everything. As for CE, I think it's too early to tell how it's
really going to go. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for now, as my
downline grows. But they sure had a rocky start, I will admit that much. Let's
just see what happens.

Remember, I was one of the fools defending SkyBiz, a longtime and many lessons
learned since then. You maybe right to warn people of this program, but you
could be wrong.

William,

I just prefer to get my information from sites that don't try to Kill a Company
just because they think they are the saviors of the Internet. And sites that
continue to poke fun and call people names who have joined something and believe
in it. I will not give any ground when it comes to the WWSN and it's owner.

To all of you who disagree with me and other defenders of CE, I say, let's give
this a rest. Let's just see what happens as they get further down the Internet
Road. I respect your opinions and we will leave it at that.

Take care all, and keep having fun,

John Olson

Shirley Musser wrote "All of a sudden they disappeared

Shirley, I may shed some light on what happened--the
downline management services/ ad co-ops/downline
builders/downline clubs came.

Confessions are good for the soul! And I watched what
was happening and had seen a similar thing happen
on a smaller scale in Permaworld. Being in a synergistic
group of some sort can really help maintain a momentum
in a downline group.  I joined through my BuildReferral
sponsor and several other good upline people there
and I 'thought' I was in a good group. Then my sponsor
joined Pure Investor,( but is still in CE).

So I joined my husband under Phil Wiley who was
personally phoned by Mark Joyner. Phil is not an MLM guy,
but very good with his miniwebsiteprofits.com e-book.
Strike out there. Mark Joyner is now at the TOP of everyone's upline
so it doesn't matter, we are all in his group.

Well, finances being finances, and as Cash Evolution doesn't
YET have a rule about, 'if you quit you have to wait X
number of days/months/years to rejoin', I quit both positions
and rejoined with, what seems to be so far, the better
of the downline groups. (Lekkerst.biz)

So, a lot of good people like you lost people because
of people like me who jumped ship. Actually, with the
spillover generated, I could have stayed and I'm sure
it would have grown, but it is HARD to compete with
those downline clubs if you are advertising to the
internet home biz opp crowd and don't have a big budget.

This issue is a big one and it seems that either you need
to MAKE the system or JOIN a good system or SELECT A
SPONSOR who is helping their group get recruits or have a
BIG BUDGET. It seems with online MLM's, that is the way
it seems to be evolving. We all can do better helping each
other -- and being selective as to who we join under, as it
is, afterall, a business decision!

From:Adrian Elman
Subject:Will the Going Platinum debate ever die?

My dear friend and long term client Robert Olver said
"I am making money already, just as promised."

With all due respect Robert, you have an earnings ticker that
says you are earning but you have yet to see a single check
for the activity taking place in your GPC downline.

It's well known that Alan owes a kings ransom in unpaid debts
and court orders so GP affiliates pay will have to come after
the existing creditors. And with the interest on the amount
owed to High Properties outpacing the incoming revenue, it
may be some time before Alan will be physically able to pay
his affiliates.

Yes I know he has proposed a payment plan for you guys as
he did for his creditors but he never paid them so how can you
be sure that he will keep to the agreement he made with you?
Dell supplied him with computers ...he didn't pay them. High
Properties supplied him with his offices ...he didn't pay them.
His staff supplied him with their labor ...he didn't pay them
either, and he welched on the deferred payment agreement he
made them. All of these entities supplied him with something
and didn't get paid. What have YOU supplied him with? What
makes you think you have the right to get paid before all his
long term creditors?

In my opinion you are only making money when you bank it.

Robert continued:
"And as to the $25 Sparks once paid to GP; all he has to do is
ask for it and it will be refunded. How can you have a scam when
you can get your money back simply by asking?"

That's an interesting concept indeed. I bought into Platinum
Rush, one month later he had not delivered on anything he
had promised so I saw no point in paying out $25 a month
for nothing more than the privilege of paying for his children's
riding lessons. I mailed GP and asked them to close my
Rush membership and return me to free membership. Their
response was "I'm sorry but you have to wait 60 days before
we stop debiting your card. That is written in our policies."

Apart from the fact that this clause was illegal because a
customer may close his account at any time he wishes,
there is also no excuse for a 60 day period of notice on a
digital product. Furthermore they were unable to supply
any product so their refusal to stop debiting my card came
as the ultimate slap in the face. Consequently I charged back
the $25 I had paid which immediately put a halt to any future
debits from them. They left me with no alternative Robert.

Their response was to cancel my membership entirely
costing me the 8000+ I had in my GPC downline and as
Jon Chiusano told me a few days ago, 4000+ in my Metal
Round. Whatever happened to their decree that Going
Platinum was a FREE community with no obligation to
pay to be involved?

When I mentioned this to Jon Chiusano he replied
"Accounting would be happy to allow you access once
again as long as they get a letter from you stating that in
the future instead of doing a charge back you will go
through proper channels to cancel a payment. Charge
backs cost the company money which is why your
account was suspended. If you had gone through proper
channels by cancelling with GP there would have been
no fees and you membership would not have been
suspended."

I told him how I had gone through proper channels and
been refused. I also told him to forget it. I am not going
to write an apology for having stopped them from stealing
my money. Naturally, he did not reply.

I understand that you and many others wholeheartedly
believe in Catelan and his opportunity. My experience
tells me that you are dealing with someone who is less
than honest. I wish you the best of luck anyway.

Regards,

Adrian Elman

I usually just read this ezine but felt compelled to
jump in on the debate about GP. I have to agree with
Ben that the bbs developed a very loyal following of
members. It is that community spirit that kept us
going through the bad times. A lot of us do feel like
family.

We developed this sense of family largely because of
the delays and bad times. Like any family history
there are the good times and bad. You rally around
someone having a hard time. You make your relative
laugh when they are feeling blue. We each had times of
doubt but someone would pull us up and help us to go
on. If GP had launched the very first time and
thousands of people had started jumping on the
bandwagon immediately, I don't think the 'family'
would have developed in quite the same way.

I think the loyalty expressed by the core group of
members that signed up for the platinum rush and
stayed during the delays are largely responsible for
the company continuing to work towards launch. It
could have died in the aftermath of 9/11 and the
dot.com failures.

I have learned a lot about networking from my fellow
GP members. This all came about from the GREAT idea we
call Going Platinum and their community.

After reading your last newsletter, I decided to write to you, maybe you

message.
Then, I received two emails that said" Here is you IE 6.0 patch. I wish
you would enjoy it".
...
<-->

Hello Gloria,

These emails are associated with the Klez Worm virus.
This virus has many shapes and forms, actually, I believe,
about 12 separate files that are out on the internet.

They act in a series...changing and destroying certain files
in succession...one of the first is your Norton anti-virus
software...even though you may be scanning...it probably
already has *excluded* itself and therefore is undetected.

I received the very same emails to start with...then it became
*porn* oriented...and the email that wiped out my computer
was not as an attachment but rather a sneaky new thing called
a *pop-up* email! You don't have to necessarily *open* an
attachment now-a-days!

I blocked and deleted, in succession, all of the emails. (all
had the similar *from* characteristics)

One sure way to tell if you have this virus...it will effect your
*start up* files. Hit CTL+ALT+DEL so that your *Task Manager*
pops up.  How many programs are running? Any unfamiliar ones?

If you are receiving error messages from programs like
Word or are having problems shutting down now...you
more than likely have it.

I tried everything...even downloaded the program that
is suppose to get rid of this particular virus...it did not
work. This virus effects a windows based .exe file that
cannot be removed...the files name is Winkxv.exe and
will have to be manually removed. Switch to *Safe Mode*
and see if that helps.

The only good is that this virus does not effect your
actually files...just your program files. I took my
computer in and had it re-vamped...all programs,
including Windows, removed and reloaded. I did
not lose one of my document files...only a couple
of old programs that I wasn't using anyway.

Hope this helps. It was a nightmare for 3 days!

Subject:Advertising On The Web

Hello Miss Ariyo,

Here is some additional info to add to the valuable
advice from Elizabeth Piotrowski, who correctly
stated that ..."the best way to use free classifieds for
advertising is to own your own classifieds site."

However, there is a FREE alternative, where you can have
your own classified ad site with all the advantages, but
without the stiff monthly charge. Visit:

http://aolms.freeffas.com/taxtorpedo

Miss Ariyo, anytime you advertise on the Internet
you must have a method of tracking the effectiveness
of your ads.

It's nice to submit to 100,000 websites, or even
1 million, but the real question is are any of these
submissions producing any clicks???

And if so, how many and which ones???

You MUST USE a tracking URL to know for certain
which of your ads is producing results. Fortunately,
there are still a couple of FREE ad trackers you can
use. The first is at:

http://www.bestfreewebtools.com/index.php?user=taxtorpedo

This program offers a FREE rotator, but also a FREE ad
tracker. There is no referral requirement to take advantage
of the ad tracker. VERY EASY TO USE.

The second choice is the "Stealth Ad Tracker", which is
part of a FREE marketing system. It is no problem if you
join this program just for the ad tracker capability.

When you go to the URL below, click on "System Overview"
in the left column.

Then, click on "Stealth Ad Tracker" in the left column.

Visit:

http://www.referralware.com/home.jsp/18989302

Using an ad tracker takes the GUESSWORK out of your
advertising efforts and will make you much more
productive.

Hope this info helps.

I got this from a Wallstreet Journal, July 11. There is a
new program that "...shifts the burden of effort to the
spammers, by requiring them to get your permission to
deliver the sapm. If they don't ask for permission, or if
you refuse to grant it, their spam messages are blocked
and never appear in your mailbox."

It's easy to create the lists of accepted senders from
Outlook Express or Eudora and easy to add new ones.
It works from your computer and someone not in your list
will get a message asking what the email is about and if
a real person is there and really wants to get through,
they will answer this, if it is spam, it will bounce
back to oblivion and you will never see it.

Sounds cool, I haven't tried it as I have a Mac, but maybe
I will join one of those laptop matrixes soon....   :)

Andy,

I think you're making a harsh judgement of ezine
publishers.

1. Do you really think they can affect spam?

2. Do you really think they're money grubbers getting
rich selling ads?

Walk a mile in their shoes before you condemn them.
Most ezine publishers aren't getting rich and to tell the
truth the hours they put into their zines and the hassles
and flack they put up with, probably works out to less
than minimum wage.

I'm an ezine publisher myself, although I accept no
advertising. So other than sticking up for my fellow
publishers I don't fit into your scenario.

Maybe they didn't answer because they didn't feel it
was your place to run their ezines.

There isn't a week that goes by, that I don't think of doing
away with my zine.

It's not fun to put work into your zine and then get hit
with some of the Jerry Springer attitudes you have to
deal with.

Try it and see if it's the easy road to riches, you seem to
think it is.

2.  The possibility of balanced legs is not in my favor (and who gets all that

3.  This was nothing more than MLM by another name (claiming not to be).

It got me for $50 but no more.  I've decided from now on it's only real

Subject:Regarding advertising

Hi Bogdan;

I hope you and your family are well.  I have been receiving email from
individuals that say they have reviewed my site and they can make it much better
for search engines.

Am I the only one that thinks it is self-defeating to send an email asking for
business and claiming that you are great with search engines?  If this guy was
so great, why does he need to email me?  Wouldn't he be so busy with the
millions of people that have found him in the search engines, due to his
expertise, that he wouldn't have time to bother with me?

High search engine ranking is the Holy Grail of Internet Marketing and the only
way I have seen that makes any sense is content.  If you write a key word
optimized page that actually says something or helps the visitor and is directly
related to what you want to sell or promote, then search engines are happy to
rank your page.

The goal of search engines is to deliver good content and relevant search
results.  Therefore if you write a page or a site that contains content about a
specific subject and not just a bunch of links saying "buy this", you and the
search engines are going to get along fine.

So many people want to know how to beat the system, it is much smarter to learn
how the system works and use it to maximize your results.  Luckily or
sorrowfully depending upon your perspective, there are so many terrible web
sites that it is not that difficult to make a major improvement in your site's
ranking.

In order to know that you have improved, you need to know where you are.  I use
the Alexa toolbar from http://www.alexa.com, they are an Amazon.com company so I
trust their downloads and I really like knowing the ranking of a site when I
arrive.  Like the guy in the email, I mentioned earlier, I knew he was clueless
immediately upon arrival at his site.

The only person I have found that I know has the search engines down cold is Dr.
Ken Evoy.  I have been using his sitebuildit program since it launched a little
over a year ago and much of what I know I learned from his free training and
from building pages with his tools.  He offers free training for people trying
to make money with affiliate programs and how to work with the search engines.
http://buildit.sitesell.com/967andy.html

Just in case you are wondering if Dr Ken's free training actually works, go to
http://www.google.com and search for buying with owner financing.  This morning
I was #1 and #2 for that search.

Subject: http://www.giftgalaxy.itctv.com

Michele,

Well, I have spent sometime on your site and for the most part I think you have
done a fine job with what you have. But here a couple of things that bother me.

The Home page seems kind of bare to me. I mean I like blank space and all that,
but there is just a bit too much here. Also, I only noticed that the pictures on
the page were links by accident. And I was not sure what would happen if I
clicked on one. Later I found out. But could you please tell us what they are
and what will happen if we click on them.

And here is my one more thing. In several places on the site, you aligned the
text to the right. Now in some cases this looks okay. But most of the time on
your pages, it just adds to the blank spaces and makes my eye work overtime to
read it all. If I were you, I would try and change that.

Also, when you can, get your own domain name, your own dot com. The search
engines will take you more seriously then. Another one more thing, Maybe you
could add some more of your original content to the site, stories, thoughts
pictures. You have made a start with your "About Us" page and "Fun & Facts
Galaxy" and Galaxy Today" pages. I would take it even further, and give us
information, maybe about some of you products and how they relate to stories,
movies or TV shows.

But for now, I wish you luck.

=====================Site Review Response  (2)===============
From:John Olson
Subject: http://www.freeisp-cheaplongdist.com/

Judie,

You had me going there for a while. I was sure this site was an affiliate copy
cat site and you were just trying to get your opportunity in front of all of us.
It took a while to find out that the site is yours and that you built it. You
did that good a job. Very professional too. Straight forward presentation of
what the products and services are and how we can benefit by using them.

In looking and reading over your copy on just the Home page, I found some odd
things. A lot of little things that should be changed. (I am sure my site has
them too.) But it would take to much time to go into them all here. So, this is
what I think you should do and you will see them yourself. Sit down at your
computer and read aloud all the text on the site. You will hear and see the
things I am thinking of. That is the easiest way to proof something, read it out
loud. And really look at the words. After you think you have found everything,
read it again. You just might have missed something.

You said:

<but I just don't want people to do the business I am
<also  interested in  customers who need low cost Isp and long
<distance service.

Judie, you have written the site to appeal to someone looking for a home
business. It is not directed at some normal person who needs low cost or free
ISP service. If you want to attract those people then your best bet is to make
yourself a doorway site directed at just the people who are looking for that
service. Or you will have to redo the site you have now. Either way, you have
some thinking and writing to do.

One thing I really like is that you are leading with the product, and not a lot
of hype over all the money we are going to make with this. That's refreshing,
thank you. I always like to look at what the product or the service is when I
look at an opportunity and I leave out all the "This will make You Rich"
garbage. If the product or service is good, then I keep reading.

As for those little things that need correcting, start with your opening
paragraph. Read it aloud. You will see what I mean. Then go on from there all
the way through the site.

I wish you luck, it sounds like an interesting program. I may have to look in to
it further.

Take care,

John Olson

=====================Site Review Response  (3)===============
From:John Olson
Subject: http://membres.lycos.fr/jaybeesgold

Jason,

Why are you requesting a review of a site that is not ready? I clicked on a lot
of your links and a goodly number went to pages with nothing or very little on
them or sites that were not there anymore.

And PLEASE, do not have all of your Links open a New Window. I do not like
having 30 pages open on my browser. If I was not reviewing this site, I would
never have gotten past the first few New pages. I am all for keeping people on
your site when they click a link, BUT for Crying Out Loud, the navigation links
on the Left Are Not taking people off your site. Change that!

Your site opens with a request to be a member. OF What? IF you are going to ask
someone to pay your $25 to be a member of something, tell them what the heck
they are getting for that money, and don't stick that information on some other
page for goodness sake. And you had better come up with some good reasons we
should trust you.

Jason, you did it again, with your advertising page. You get us there and all
there is a form to fill out to submit an ad. But why should we do that? Where is
the ad seen and by how many?

I am not even going to get into the colors on your Home page, but purple and
green? I could be sick.

Jason, I am sorry, but I see no reason to visit your site, let alone give you
any money to join whatever it is you do for people who join you.

Go back to the drawing board my friend and lay out what it is you want this site
to be about and how you can tell people what it is about. For now, I would never
send anyone there for any reason. It is not ready. You have a lot of work to do.

Start out by telling us who you are and why we should trust you, why we should
send you money, what we will get for it? What qualifications do you have? What
have you done? What is your background?

Jason, I wish you luck, but please redo this site, or just forget it.

John Olson

=====================Joke of the Day   (1)===============

TRADE OFF

A sales woman is driving through the Reservation toward home when she sees
an Indian woman thumbing a ride on the side of the road.

As the trip had been long and quiet, she stops the car and the Indian woman
gets in. After a bit of small talk, the Indian woman notices a brown bag on
the front seat.

"What's in the bag?" asks the Indian woman.

"It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband," says the sales woman.

The Indian lady is silent for a moment then says, "Good trade."
