Secrets=====================

Bond With Your Readers
1) Create a bond with your visitors by bringing up
likes or dislikes you have in common with them in
your ad copy. Just make sure you do your research.
For example, you could say, "I hate it when you have
to wait in line for a long time at the drive-through."
Another example, "I really like it when I have extra
money to spend."
Keep Your Reader's Attention
2) Use a lot of headlines and sub-headlines on your
web site. This will hold people's attention and keep
them at your web site longer. Sometimes people
don't have time to read a whole sales letter. This'll
allow you to sell to people who are skimmers. Plus
it will get the reader's full attention at the same time.
Convince Your Readers
3) Make your testimonials more powerful. You can
have people include pictures, handwritten signatures
and normal net contact information with each
testimonial. Other ideas would be to have people
produce an online audio sound bite or video clip of
themselves, home or cell phone numbers, proof of
their credibility or authority, etc.

Subject:Internet Marketing
Dear Rick,
I don't think your question should be "Who is telling the truth". They
are
ALL telling the truth. The various forms of marketing or advertising on
the net work - to a certain extent. That means that you can't rely on a
single form of advertising to hand you customers over, you have to find
the combination that suits you and your product best and work at it
consistently.
You don't say if your site is your own or not, but even if it is not, a
good idea is to make your own website even if you are just an affiliate.
Work hard at getting a good spot in the Search Engines. These will bring
you targeted traffic and interested customers. I get thousands of hits
from the various forms of advertisement to my sites, but most of my paying
customers come either from my own opt-in lists or from the Search Engines.
I have found that most advertising methods - start exchanges, safelists,
guaranteed visitors or whatever - will bring in people that will sign up
for a FREE offer. They may or may not become paying customers eventually.
That is not necessarily bad. If your free offer leads these people to your
opt-in list and you do a good job of gaining their trust, you will convert
many of them to paying customers IF your product is worthwhile. Work at
it... persistence usually wins the day!

Hi Rick,
I wish you had included your URL so that my answer could be more specific.
I can tell you, on a general basis, a good way to tell who is telling the truth
is by really listening to what they say. Anyone who tells you this business is
easy, or that they can guarantee you overnight success with minimal effort, is
full of it.
It is not ok to troll for email addresses and SPAM them, you can be shut down as
quick as a flash. Safelists are not all they are cracked up to be and many
traffic exchange users are just interested in credits and not looking at your
page.
The truth is, internet business, just like any business, takes time and effort
to create and maintain. Once you have an excellent product you need to
constantly monitor your advertising results and your web site performance while
you continue to look for every new way to promote your offer.
You must build your own opt-in email list and it is work. Competition for
subscribers and buyers online is fierce and you will have to provide an awesome
product or truly helpful information in order to get people to give you their
email address. It takes time, but remember, when the "gurus" talk
about email
advertising as the best form of internet advertising, they are talking about
mailing to their own opt-in list. In every case, someone who has asked for your
information or offer is far more likely to be receptive to your recommendations
in the future than someone who needs to keep their safelist email account clear.
I suggest you put your site up for review here. Many of us offer marketing tips
and advice; you could get several different points of view and perhaps start
there. Be sure to ask for marketing recommendations with your review request,
you will probably get several replies.
Have a Profitable Day,
Cathy Wagner

Hi Rick,
The Internet is like a "Sea" of great ideas and oppportunities. The
only
problem is it can be so overwhelming compared to our lone small boat when
we first get started its easy to sink!
So I could rattle off a perfect plan for you, and I know what basically
needs to be done, as I have mentioned in previous postings. But one
significant factor would be, what is the product? Being in Advertising and
Marketing for 30+ years, I wouldn't dream of giving you specific advice
without knowing the product. It seems that is what you need as you have
already waded thru and tried several things. So what is your product? Who
is your market? Lets start there, then we can see what the best method
would be to get people to your site. Feel free to email me personally
anytime.
Kind Regards,
Holly Klaus

Dear Mr. Rick Flowers
Reading your article has brought quite
a few thoughts to mind. Like you I have
also read a lot of material, subscribed
to numerous 'free online courses'... which
at the end offered nothing but sales pitch.
I am sure you can relate to this.
The truth is the only way you will ever
get your traffic up is by getting a better
rating in search engines. With all respect
to adland. Ads alone will not give you the
kind of traffic needed in this business.
Real targeted traffic comes from search
engines. Period!

Hi Rick;
Here are two things that will be of great benefit to you in building
targeted traffic.
If you are not yet an Adland Pro Affiliate, you are missing the best
advertising you will ever find. I have been an affiliate for quite
sometime and take my word, it is good.
http://www.adlandpro.com/partner.asp?ref=16277&pg=af
Yes, that is my affiliate ID in the URL, you get 50 ad displays per month
for each new Affiliate you recruit and that is regardless if they ever
make a sale.
Your next place to go is,
http://www.sitesell.com/967andy.html
DR. Ken Evoy is the king of search
engine optimization. I use his sitebuildit program for 967andy.com and I
have excellent Google ranking for real estate related pages. You don't
have to buy anything, He gives free training that is better than 99% of
the paid training on the Internet.
Good luck on the Internet, You are in the right place to learn.

Hi Walter
I can recommend a program for you. Try Mailwasher.
http://www.mailwasher.net There is
a free download for
POP3 and a $29.95 version that supports Hotmail,etc.
this has been recommended here before, and I thought I would add my
recommendation. it is not an affiliate program and I get nothing if you
buy it. I use it and I can tell you it works

Peter Fry,
You said you were building a charitable website and need a payment system.
Both Paypal http://Paypal and Amazon allow you to
take donations on your
site with handy button and form generators. Also, Clickbank.com makes it
easy to take cc payments if you need that kind of service.

One programme after another is great. The hype on the Internet is
fantastic. Problem is you can't get sellers to buy from sellers! There are
ways to get your message across and I'd be happy to send to a URL or two
in this regard. Also I'm interested i the one you are promoting...just
curious...and I'll discuss this with you also

Subject:Advertising/Marketing
Hello! I really need some sound advice.
Recently, I've released a new book. It's a collection of short
stories/poetry that are all tainted with either science fiction, fantasy,
or horror. This is not mainstream literature...my marketing needs to be
targeted.
I need to advertise and have tried a few optin mailing companies, but I've
been very disappointed with the results. I can't even tell if the
companies actually sent out any emails for me.
Advice, please! Does anyone know of a company I can trust or of a program
that really works?
I appreciate your time.
Best Regards,
Nora Weston

Subject:StartBlaze sold off?
Hello AdlandPro-ers,
I haven't seen this come up yet, but I noticed that StartBlaze was sold to
"OneWorldLine" <http://www.1worldline.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi/SB104337/>.
I
think it's interesting that Startblaze, which was a free (or low-cost)
traffic generator, was sold to a company that is offering a free downline
club. With all of the traffic exchange programs out there, it would have
been nice if they had sold it to someone who was going to continue with
the original intent.
On the other hand, because I referred so many people to StartBlaze, I am
now in OneWorldLine's "Top 500." I wonder what, if anything, this will
accomplish in the long run?
Anyhow... Just curious about everyone's opinion of the whole situation.

I have been successfully selling my Unique Patrols 'Info packet" and
"Handbook" online for a few years. I have a great 'hook' in my ad
"Want to
make money with your airplane?" and I am getting good hits and am placed
well in search engines. I have been tweeking this page so much now, lol,
that I feel I need to hear what others think about it...to hear some other
perspectives. I'd like some feedback on my presentation and your 1st

Thankyou
