1) Build up the number of people who join your free

could always end it after you have a 1000 or so

people to make up for your loss.


2) Negotiate with e-zine publishers to get free or
discounted ads by letting them join your affiliate
program and earn commissions on the ad you run.
You could also offer them other incentives like a
free product, a reciprocal e-zine ad, a membership
to a business club, etc.


3) Create offline affiliates to market your product.
Have people sign up at your web site to sell your
products through "house parties". You could have
people taking their laptops to parties and selling
through their affiliate links. They will get paid just
like they would online.

I like to comment on the "What do you need to know about being an
affiliate marketer?

First you need to know a lot of things, but I will only talk about few of
them.

* Before you can market your affiliate business successfully, you need a
proper understanding of your affiliates programs, for examples, what are
your products and services, how will your customers,affiliates, benefit
from them, what is the compensation plans for the people involved in the
business, this is true because, people don't want to work for nothing!

In-order to be successful in any affiliate programs, other people have to
join your business and they too have to promote the affiliate programs to
other people.

It is very necessary for those of us who are involved in the affiliates
programs, to buy some of the products and services regularly, because this
is the way money is generated, if you or nobody buy from your business you
will not earn money, period!

You need to advertise your business so that you can recruit people will
help you take your business further.

Jim, you get pretty lucky that you didn't get tricked into many of the run
of the mill affiliate programs. I think its comical that these people get
involved just for the money and don't realize the program that they just
joined it complete garbage.

I have looked over many affiliate offers for quite some time and I find
either the offer expires at midnight or something, and the plan is just
over worked with the market saturated. Plus the pay structure is
unrealistic. Personally I would not promote or sell programs that have this
offer expires at midnight and rehash the same offer day in day out or
similar tactics.

Well it really doesn't make alot of sense with these programs saying you
can make a ton of money in 60 days or less. Alot of these marketers claim
that. But to be honest. Nobody ever believes that crazy story. thats been
tried and it failed.

John, I would not trust him period. He has made it clear that he only
cares about his wallet. Just look at his track record recently. His
Cashevolution and Seasilver scandal, and his latest stunt was his
retirement package. Well I talked with quite a few people and some of them
are still in the land of being brainwashed by him. As for me He has
nothing to offer in a way of legitimate or even ethical marketing
programs.

Cynthia, I highly doubt that this will be end of the scandals revolving
around the Joyner programs. I sure hope that you pointed out to your kids
about the scam scandals about his recent track record. I believe that he

Thank you for the compliment. I am quite flattered.
You make me blush. :) I have been online as a mentor
with a target of Newbies for about 6 years.I share info
with then without the hype and fantasy that you see
all over the web. This allows them a better experience
over time as they advance in their learning. I have been
blessed by meeting and inspiring many. I love to see
the light bulb turn on. They come , they learn and then
go on their way on their new web adventure. I still
here from some from time to time and they share
their progress with me.Even during my 1 year positive absence from the web
with my site. I keep human to
human contact be it a new contact or old.

So as I extend my appreciation I will add one more thought on web traffic,
web marketing and the quests there of.

I have been through all the anxiety and pressured rush
and hype that abounds on the net and the work involved in learning about
building web sites marketing and generating traffic. You might say I am at
peace with my web site and my web existence in Cyber-Space. :) Do I sell?
Sure I do but I have never made it a life or death situation. It has never
been my main priority.

I think that fact in it self has made me successful. What constitutes
success? My success is in my own mind and the results I have achieved in
helping others. My own confidence in myself and my abilities. The success
has nothing to do with making tons of money. That is my success! Knowing I
have given that one small tip that helped. Hearing that thank you for you
help I can do this or that now that I know how. The old saying of if I can
help that one person. Well I have multiplied that
one into many! It is what I enjoy doing because of my love for people.

For others success means how much money they have made from the web and
their web product. It is their driving force. They at least know to do
this they need traffic. Yet traffic does not necessarily mean sales. The
sales copy is the component that generates a sale. If it is not a cut
above the rest that over saturates the web their quest for sales will
fail!! If their concept or Idea is not original or unique against the many
that over saturate the web their concept or program will not fly!!

As new people come on to the web to market or just to
have a personal home page or web site. They to will
go through a natural cycle of or syndrome of I want
web hits to my site! How do I get visitors! Or I now have this program and
I want to make money right now! They will  then jump into the frey and try
to get it done.

They think that site, that is a insignificant drop in the water bucket of
cyber space will be instantly seen by millions and the money will start
rolling in. Ha! Fat chance!

Many will fall into the traps , tricks and a level of
frustration. When all their hard work yields little or
no results. Or not the level of results they would
expect due to all the hype,  and not knowing the true
reality of the nature of the net, and the mentality
of the internet surfer. A concept or program has to be
something the web surfer wants. Something viable
he or she can use. Something with true value in the
mind of the individual. The individual will say: Ahh I can use this or
that. Then they will buy it!!

I have been lucky with all things purchased on the web. Money spent has
been all good. Only ripped of once and the loss only $40.00 :)

To adlanders that are new web marketers :  If you have made a web
purchase. Ask your self. What made me consider this? Then ask your self
what made me buy it? Then look at your venture and compare. Put yourself
in the web surfers shoes. Will they consider it? Will they buy it.

In order for this to work you must be completely honest to yourself when
you answer these questions. If your honest answer is: No one is going to
buy this crap! Do not despair. Just re-do, re-vamp, re-work until you find
the answer. When you can say Hmmm.. I think I would at least consider
buying this product.

Knowing the ways of the internet and World Wide Web
is very important. Knowing the mentality of the average
internet surfer is critical. In other words how the  individuals that are
sitting behind the millions upon millions of computers and surfing the web
think.

What are they doing when they are on the web? Are they
looking for information? Using the search engine? What search terms are
they using? Are they listening to music? Where? Are they downloading
music? Then how and where? Maybe they are looking for specific software
programs. Which ones  and for what purpose? Many love the different areas
of web messaging and communication. Be it chat or voice. A very small
percentage are web pros that weld the power of the web but they are just a
viable target as the newbie or intermediate webmaster or mistress.

There are many other questions one should ask themselves about the average
web surfer. In other words web demographics! Capturing such data is
possible by looking for it on the internet itself! It takes time and study
but it can be time well spent.

Mark,

Devasish Gupta's response was really good about that you will need to
spend time and/or money. Probably both. His recommendation of Ken Evoy's
site is very good. Ken was on of the first internet marketers.

I would further recommend becoming an affiliate of Evoy's as the affiliate
area has some of the best training you will get for free on how to market
on the web.

What an interesting idea for a business. I never would have thought of it.
I hope it goes well for you. Now, on to the review:

Not to much to say here, the site looks great though somewhat hard to
navigate around in. You might think of adding a "Site Map" to help people
get around better. And the basic navigation links are all on the bottom, I
would think it might be a good idea to place them on the side or top as
well. Also, your picture links on the pages other then the home page,
might do better if you included the label on each page without needing the
mouse over. If I hadn't moused over them, I might not have realized they
were links.

Also, when I first got to the site, I was unclear just what it was you
were selling. At first I thought it was chocolate. But then once I got
into the site, I realized it was fancy wrappers for chocolate. Maybe
something on the main page about that would help. Also, there is next to
nothing, text wise, on the home page for search engine spiders to read.
And your meta tag description doesn't even mention chocolate or candies.
You might want to make some adjustments there.

I see you have a catalog, and that's good.

All and all, you have a neat little business there and a nice site. I wish
you lots of luck with it.

You Only Lose If You Quit

I received an email from a man who told me that his family
would all leave him if he got involved in another home
business opportunity! Apparently, he had failed in a few
attempts at home business, so the family had this man
labelled as a loser. Sound familiar?

I cannot understand why your family would disown you because
of your wanting to set up a business to provide for them.
Just because you have failed in business, that does not make
you a loser! Many of the wealthiest men in the world have
failed many times! Most of us have heard the story of Abe
Lincoln, who failed in about everything he tried, until he
became the 16th president of the United States.

I have failed in many of my business ventures, but the
lessons I learned from those experiences are invaluable to
me. I have earned more in one week than many people in the
US earn all year! If I'd quit years ago, I would probably be
working 40 hours somewhere for a lousy $300 or $400 per week
right now. With my home biz, and the Internet, I can make
that much or more if I work or not!

In many businesses, including any good home business, you
only lose if you quit! Think about it. In many home biz
opportunities today, you have the possibility to earn more
than many doctors, lawyers and other professional people
earn! It may take you a few months or even years to get
there but how long did those professionals have to go to
school to get to the large incomes? YEARS OF STUDY AND BIG
TUITION CHECKS - MUCHO $$$$$$ !

I have a good friend who has been in networking over 20
years now. In the first 18 years, he barely scraped by.
Finally, he got with the company that was right for him. All
those years of experience PAID OFF BIG! He now is the top
dog in a very popular nutritional MLM company, and earns
over $300,000 PER MONTH! This is not some hyped up story,
because I actually have seen the man's checks. How many
professional men would like to make that kind of income? If
he would have listened to everyone telling him he was
wasting his time, he never would have gotten there.

If you have been involved in the home biz industry for any
amount of time, no doubt you know folks who make incredible
money. Sure, there is a lot of hype but, there are a lot of
true success stories as well. What if my friend had worked a
40-hour per week job all his life? Just over broke, right?

One woman we know of made over $400,000 last year selling
other people's products with online Free Affiliate programs!
The opportunities are endless for anyone with a creative
mind who is willing to work.

With the Internet in the picture, we have not even seen the
start of the types of income that will be generated online.
Online networking is where mail order MLM was back in the
60's - its infant stages! For those who have taken the time
to do their homework, and/or get with someone who has, the
sky is the limit!

If your family and friends make fun of your business, smile!
Many others before you have dealt with the same thing. One
day, if you have the right product or program, do your work,
and stay consistent, those folks will just have to eat their
words.

I love to run into ones who at one time spoke to everyone in
my county and told them what a "fool Doug West is" for being
involved in that "no-account business", that I should "get a
real JOB!" Now, I do not believe in a showy display of one's
means of living by any means, but in a small area, word gets
around when you are doing pretty well financially. Those
good old boys with the real jobs... they'll start to wonder
what would have happened if they had started their own home
biz way back when.

Things come back to ya' sometimes. Let people talk - because
they will anyway. Just remember -
YOU CAN'T LOSE UNLESS YOU QUIT!
