=================5 eBook Joint Venture Marketing Tactics!=====================
From:Larry Dotson

1) Give Away Reprint/Resale Rights

You could give e-zine publishers an e-book which
they could sell and keep all the profits in exchange
for an ongoing ad in their e-zine. When they stop
selling it, they can stop running your e-zine ad.
Maybe only do it for a small number of e-zine
publishers at a time, so it doesn't get saturated and
they start turning your deal down. If they only want
to run your ad once, you could always include some
of your ads in the e-book.

2) Give Away An Advertisement

Create a directory of fr^ee e-zines in e-book format.
In it, list the free e-zines of publishers who have
agreed to advertise the fr^ee e-book on their web site
and in their e-zine. When you build up a large number
of participating e-zines, this will give the larger e-zines
an incentive to give away or advertise your e-book.
Of course you will have your own product ads in the

3) Give Away Customization Rights

You could ask e-zine publishers to advertise your
fr^ee e-book in their e-zine. Tell them that the e-book
can be customized with their own web site links. This
deal will help increase their traffic and sales. Of course
you will have your own product ads in the e-book too.

4) Give Away Your Expertise

You could ask e-zine publishers to give away your
fr^ee e-book. They might accept, because they can
use it as a bonus for people who subscribe to and
read their own e-zine. This would increase the number
of people who would see your fr^ee e-book ad and
your other ads in inside it. Tell the e-zine publishers
this would also help to keep their subscribers loyal.

5) Give Away Information Archives

A lot of e-zine publishers don't publish their archives
on their web site. It's extra work and takes up a lot
of web space. You could offer to archive an e-zine's
back issues in a fr^ee e-book format on your web
site in return for the e-zine continuing to run one of
your ads. Or just have them mention the archives
can be downloaded at your web site because your
product ads would be there anyway. Or you could
have them give away the fr^ee e-book in their e-zine
because your ads would be in it.

Subject:I am broke now and I still don't have my site getting any traffic

Hi Jeff and Others,

I read a comment there are "billions of web sites".
I recall thats not true, infact I read an article
last week, which said this year would be like 10,000,000 registered
domains. Of course some of these
have multiple sub-domains for free host pages, but
still its alot of competition. Theres on average
2 million new domains or so coming on to the market
each year.

So yeah thats more competition, but also hopefully
some more buyers of your own products and services.
Search engines charging $200 plus to a listing must
be rubbing hands each year.

Anyhow, Im sure we all started out the same way and
make the same mistake. Wasting money on bad advertising
or gimmicks. Making others rich like Mark J and Mikie
baby. (but good to see some wising up finally)

Ive been running my web site for 3 years.. not living of it , but
certainly learning from it and enough
to keep it running and offering great services.

Networking with others that come and use your site
is good business, some become harden supporters and
also keep buying. Become great affiliates as well.
But eachcyear I have to say, even though previous
year on web was the hardest to earn, that the income
is still increasing a little each year.
Until you come up with a great new product or service
that takes off and finally earns enough to live off
or become rich.

also theres traffic and useless traffic.
although all traffic is good to PUSH up your
ranking (as a higher rank you get more engines
linking to your site and your site shows up more in searches, if youre
indexed with them, so I believe??? - which I have to say is true as my
rank has been increasing each year and Im seeing more and more google and
yahoo searches linking to my pages.)

Anyhow Ive just recently launched my new site
based on my other AD services,
which offers a varied mix of traffic and its FREE to
post as long as meets the TOS agreement. e.g. no popups
so Feel free to check it out. Already its ranked 26,000 in 4 weeks and
over all got 420,000 visitors
it even sends business adlandpros way,

you can also join as a paid member for a low monthly
fee and use the special slot to promote your own sites
continously to the free traffic coming, and earn
from referring as well and selling AD space on your
own page. Its a new Idea anyhow and a few love
what Ive put together.

The thing is you have to find a advertising method
that suits your needs (not one method will work entirely or forever, you
will need a combination of methods (and new concepts just out can benefit
as well as alot attract to them like magnets)
and also watch your bandwidth costs if promoting your
page as some system produce much traffic (even if its
most useless non-buying traffc).
(but many good hosts offer 5 to 20GB bandwidth for $10/month anyhow thats
more then enough for 1 persons site)

Subject:I am broke now and I still don't have my site getting any traffic

I have to laugh at people who
say "I am broke now and I still don't
have my site getting any traffic."

Perhaps if people would actually have
a real business and put that business
on the internet, they would see some
sort of results.

Most, on a whim, want to put anything
on line and sell it. Well the internet
users out there are not stupid and
they aren't going to buy just anything,
especially if they cannot even find you.

Also, maybe they should study and learn
how to set up HTML code, meta tags,
take some marketing courses, learn the
secrets of the search engines and
actually pay for a real URL and stop
using free sites to conduct business.

It really does take time, energy, work
and learning. It is a non-stop learning
and marketing process. You cannot just
put up a site and expect miracles.

Also, it does take a few bucks to get
started and any of these "no money down"
plans or shoestring budget ideas really
aren't the way to go.

Invest in your business and stop taking
the cheap way out, obviously it is not

The last thing I would like to ask is this:
Do you have a product or service that
people want? Is it new? Is it fresh?
Is it in line with your competitors?

Remember, on the internet, the competition
is a click away.

Subject:I am broke now and I still don't have my site getting any traffic

Hi Jeff,

Just so you know, you are not alone what you're going
through, there are hundreds if not thousands of people
have experiences this at one time or another during
their online marketing life.

What you need to do is have a plan and take baby steps
towards profitability.  For example:

1.) Optimized your page for search engines.  Geoff Dodd
has provided some excellent tips in previous issue
of Adland Digest. Create a file using Notepad and
save all of your tips and articles in this subject,
that you can find and name it" SE Optimization".

2.) Submit your site to search engines for free. You can
go to or, you may have to link
back to them in order to use their service. Do this
every month, mark it on your calendar.

3.) You need to raise cash.  Find any ebooks that you
have bought in the past and sell them to your
subscribers for cheap, you can call it " the gurus
lied to me" SALE! If you don't have a list, use
the traffic exchange programs, post to as many
bulletin boards and newsgroups as you can.  You can
    open an account at and
click on the email ads they send you till you have
$2-$6 then you can send a solo ad to 500 people.
Once you have $20 or so in your stormpay/paypal
account, you can participate at those randomizer
    program to earn more cash.

4.) Build traffic thru reciprocal links.  Find as
many similar theme site as yours and send them a
friendly note and ask them if they want to swap
links.  There are sites out there that don't rely
on search engines anymore because their traffic
comes from other website like, she's
getting about 1 million hits a month

5.) Find as many online newsletters that accept free
ads on their ezine and place your free ad on a
weekly basis. You can find ezine directories in
    any search engines.

There you go, you can copy that and save it on a file
so you can look it up from time to time.  I know this
sounds like a lot of WORK, but this is what it takes to
to get you out of the doldrums, and to succeed online.
Gurus out there won't tell you that, only from people
that have been there and done that.

Good luck to you Jeff.

I'm a newbie. I can't say honestly that I'm making
enough money even to subsist on in the real world,
but on the other hand, I'm not about to go under,
I'm getting exponentially increasing traffic, and
I'm having fun. When I started to get stuff having
to do with Mark Joyner, I had never heard of him
at all, and therefore I had no reason to think
for a minute there was any reason to fork over
the fairly large sums of cash he wanted for his
wisdom. By the time I started reading of his scandalous
track record, I had already determined that there
was no rational reason to have anything to do with
his business ventures.

However, I see in some of his writings, indications
that he is aware of an obscure but increasingly
important science known as memetics. His whole
"Mind Control Marketing," or whatever it is is
based on these ideas. To not fall victim to these
tactics, one needs to understand them, and most
importantly have a general attitude of irreverence
towards "Gurus". Also, this fad of refering to
various self replicating ad-systems as being
"viral" in nature, is really the emergence
of memetics on the scene. (See "Virus of the Mind:
The New Science of the Meme" -by Richard Brody

Subject:Mark Joyner: Protected by my Inexperience

Thanks for your advice. I have been in many different downline clubs but
personally, I joined The Free Agent Path because I like the company that
Mark Joyner has picked.

This is actually the first time that I trust him enough to follow his
leads. One thing that we all have to remember: you can sell just about
anything on the internet and with the products that focus on where the
major buying power (the baby boomers) is heading, the chances of success

The other different that I see is attitude. Other downline clubs that I
have joined have a forum posted full of confused dreams asking what was
happening but with The Free Agent Path, the attitude is totally different.
Look at Avon, Morinda and Herbal Life - they are sussessful companies
because they filled the niche.

It is true that Life Force International have been around for 20 years a
still carrying the same products but their market and audiences are not
even close to fully saturated - so far they are only reaching 5 countries
which mean more market would be developed. The key to be successful is to
catch the first wave and this seems, so far, like the first wave to me.

Am I going to join everything that Mark will offer? Absolutely not. Will I
take advantage of his system to build relationship and leads for my team?
Of course.

The fact that Mark Joyner could attract so many followers is not a small
matter. Look at his "Farewell Package" - how many people have blindly
purchased it without any knowledge of what it really is? Compare that to
buying tangible consumer products - which one do you think would move

The elements for success are there in this new venture and toward the end,
only the experiened networkers will profit - I hope sincerely that my team
would be on that list.

"A team is as strong as its weakest link." I have every reason to help my
downlines and frankly, I think Mark should be glad that I am on his team

Ten months ago I know nothing about building a website.

After joined a few affiliate programs I decided the best way to promote
all these programs is to have my own website.

First I tried using software program to built my site, I found that at age
sixty and counting is that what I read doesn't sink in anymore.

So, I cheated. What I did was save some of the sites I come across that
look like they might be suitable for my site and take them apart line by
line and put all those little pieces together and here what I come up

Of course, there has been many, many changes.

My site now rank #1 with Google and I am also featuring Goodle ads on my
site, hopefully make some money.

You are welcome to take my site apart. I recommend my 'buddies' page, it
quite basic actually.

I admire you wanting to do this and I will offer some help in the form of
hosts that offer online Website builders. These are very easy to work
with, for anyone. And if you have everything you want on the site, most of
the hard work is done.

I use, they have a Trellix builder that is the best I've seen.
Easy to work with and makes a very professional site. If you can copy and
paste, point and click, you can build a Website, either a one pager or
more. And their costs are very reasonable.

There are other hosts that offer online builders if you care to look
around. Just try a search with the terms "Website hosts online builder"
and see what you get.

I wish you all the luck in the world.

Clicking around your site, I found that most of the pages have only a few
navigation links to choose from. If I want to look at several pages on
your site, you force me to go back and forth between the pages I want to

Please, do your visitors a favor and add navigation links to most if not
all the pages on each page. If someone goes to one page and that doesn't
have what they want, do you really want them to have to go back to your

A Newbie's Story
ByPaul Penafiel

How did I ever get myself involved in Internet

I asked myself that every single day, as I struggle to
find all the right answers to all of my questions how
to succeed online.  I've been online now for about 3
years trying to find ways to make a passive income
online on a part-time basis, but for some reason, time
and time again...I fail.

What litte savings I had, I spent it promoting programs
like Cookie Cutter, Alladvatange, Roibot, Startblaze,
Secret of the Big Dogs and Get Paid To Read Email
programs.  My downlines was as large as 2,000 members on
some of them but did I made a lot money, hell no,
didn't make any profit at all. I was spending more
money than what was coming in.   What really hurt me
the most was when you have worked so hard to build your
downline and only to go up in smokes in matter of days
because the program owner decided to sell his business
to someone else or the program was either a an outright
scam or the program has lost its appeal no one wants to
join anymore or it's too expensive to run the program
so they have to shut it down and my favorite excuse for
the program to shut down is because it's simply getting
far too many spam complaints.

But that's just the tip of the ice berg of the problems
I was dealing with. Once you have build your downlines,
you have to teach them how to recruite because 90 % of
them doesn't know how, plus the 10 % percent that knows
how to recruit quit because they have found another
program to promote or are just not motivated enough to
stay with your programs or the worst yet, the program
doesn't not allow you to contact your entire downlines.

I mean it just never ends, all the obstacles you have
to overcome.  I consider myself lucky because I haven't
lost a wife, kids, a family, a career, close friends, a
house, self respect or my valuable life.  The stories I
have read over the years are heart wrenching, and
depressing enough to make you puke yours eyes out.

Folks! I am not kidding you, there have been so many
lives ruined because they were told they can make a
fortune online overnight.

Now, I don't mean to upset you with this story but it
must be told otherwise there will be more good, honest
people falling for the same lies, hypes and scams out
there that I was subject to, even now they are

I can't really explain it, but there is something
inside of me that keeps saying, "you must keep going,
don't quit", and you know what?  I won't. I have
invested too much energy, time and money already to
stop now.

I know it's out there, and I will find it no matter
what it takes, no one can stop me except myself.  I
have learned from my mistakes.

My biggest regret was not starting an opt-in list that
I can call my own or something to be proud
of, but it's like everything else, it's never too late.

Wishing you great success.
