Let's face it that I have been a member of
the Freestore club for about 1 year now,with almost 13,000 associates.
However,the so called computer soft ware,only places all my members
generated by the traffic I buy from all other sources,including
adlandpro,on the right side only,thus benefiting the owners.The only
traffic they would place on the left side,is guaranteed members that I
would purchase from them. But we all know that most of the so called
guarantee downlines,are worthless,or unmotivated people.The Freestore
administration tells me that my upline is making money,but they are not
able to show me who my upline is,up to date. So I assume they are my
upline,with about 1500 gold members and nearly 5000 silver menbers,it's
heart breaking to hear that they built my site only by their EMM
technology.But the question I am asking is,how many other sites are able
to generate at least $100,000.00 USD monthly,without the site owner
actually building it with other resources,free,or paid?

Well, you beautifully laid out the basic theme of EMM. And it's correct,
most people can't sell... and Marketing, Especially Network Marketing, is

I think we've had this discussion before and some will argue that you can
be taught to sell. And there are certainly hundreds of books, tapes and
classes that teach Selling. But can the average person who gets into
Network Marketing learn to Sell?

No, and that's the truth. They don't have what it takes and they don't
want to learn, they've been sold a bill of goods. They've been sold on the
idea that it doesn't take any work at all or very little. And that's a

So, what is EMM and how does it take the selling part of the business out
of the picture for the normal person? It does it by doing one thing very,
very well. It builds a relationship with the person going through it, and
it offers a simple plan that anyone can follow.

Through a series of E-mails that go over the past and the future of
Network Marketing, EMM tells people why normal MLM fails 95% of the time
and then goes on to offer a solution to that problem, EMM. It's a classic
sales technique, identify a problem and then solve it. EMM does this very

being marketed with it? No, you can do the same thing yourself with any
program you are in and have similar results. It's what I have done with My

Let's face it, if every person who was approached about a Network
Marketing program joined and purchased whatever the product or service
was, a Lot of People would realize the dreams on all those Websites. But
the fact is, most do not join or buy.

EMM or a system like it can help, but it still takes work and time and
most likely Money to succeed.

Here's a dirty little secret of the MLM World. It may not be a true secret
in the sense that every MLM owner knows it, but it's nonetheless true.

No matter what the product, service, pay plan or marketing plan, most of
the people who start with any MLM will fail. Why? Because most of them
were sold on "Getting In" because of the Money someone said they would be
making. Sometimes going so far as to tell them they'll be making all this
money without doing any work.

Let's face it, would Joe down the street buy an autoresponder if there
weren't the promise of making a ton of cash from it? Of course not, Joe
has no idea what an autoresponder is or why he'd need one. But someone
sold him on the Money to be made.

I've said this time and time again in the things I've written and I'll
keep saying it till I think it's sunk in enough. Which means, I'll be
saying it forever.

Never Join something or Buy something because of the Money someone says
you can make if you do. ONLY Join or Buy something if you truly want the
Product or Service being offered.

And NEVER Market that Product or Service using the "Money to be Made" as
your main reason to buy it or "Buy In."

The why of this is simple, Most people can't sell, most people fail at MLM
no matter the Product, Service, Pay Plan or Marketing Plan, so if you
Market just the Money to be made and that Money doesn't show up, which it
won't 95% of the time, all the Hard work you did to get those few people
"IN" will be for nothing. They will drop out and you will lose out.

If you want to make money through affiliating with some Company or
Program, Sell the Product or Service first, the rest will follow. Market
that Product or Service Retail and build a customer base that way.
Depending on the Company and what they're offering, one Retail sale can
set you up for residual income for years to come. Many Retail Sales with
the right Company will set you up for residual income that may even
replace a normal full time income. But it's going to take time and work,
are you ready for it?

Sell the Product or Service, Not the Pay Plan or the Marketing Plan.

every assertion on your part in being forthright about the subject matter. question is this:  What type of matrix do you use as a benchmark
to determine how many visitors attend a site and how many do business at
that said site?  That latter striking more closely to the reality of the
matter...which is the bottom line for every virtual merchant and business
person.  Don't you think?

All this selling of "selling" is like trying to herd the wind into a
corral. Here is a very recent experience of mine that says a lot about why
these programs can make a lot of money and why, in the end, it is wasted
Start with my business. Nothing to brag about. Not even paying its' own
way yet.
But I'm not mortgaging my home to buy into a program that will get my site
into the six-figure ballpark. I just "fired" my sales partner for buying
into Jim Daniels' plan.
Why? What's wrong with Jim Daniels? Nothing is wrong with his plan except
the price tag, and what my sales partner did when she bought in, which I
think is what a lot of failed internet entrepreneurs do when they buy into
these plans: They stop thinking. They stop taking responsibility for their
own decisions.
My former partner told me she bought the plan BECAUSE she saw it in a site
I recommended (Bob McElwain's, therefore I should
accept it. There is a lot in common between Daniels and McElwain, and
McElwain is now in fact pushing the Daniels plan hard, alongside his own
I pointed out to my former partner that McElwain says a lot of what
Daniels says, but he only charges $30 or so for his books, which is a fair
price. I pointed out that "affiliation", which is the type of business she
and I planned to build together, "affiliation" is just another word for
"commission". If you sell a product, the company gives you a cut of the
profit. Very simple concept. Therefore a good company will not charge you
money BEFORE you sell its' product. If it has faith in its' own product,
it will wait for your code to come in on the sales sheets and then pay
you. I invited her to sign up for the NO COST affiliations I had found,
and she never signed on. Never even LOOKED at the programs.
I asked her why not and she told me this: "Jim Daniels has made a lot of
money at this. He knows what he is doing." (translation re whether I know
what I'm doing is obvious) So I rose to the challenge. "OK, " I said, "put
a link to the Jim Daniels program in your site and I'll sign up and sell
his program if you'll get signed up in my programs."
After she paid $150 for his book, she did not know enough to sign up as a
affiliate to earn a 40% commission off selling the same book to ME! In
fact, she had been so DAZZLED by his sales presentation that she had
bought it without speaking to me in spite of the fact that I ALWAYS look
for the affiliation policy BEFORE buying and get signed up for the
commission FIRST!
And that right there is the problem with these high-powered sales
programs: people think that because they have bought the IDEAS of the
selling gurus they are ENTITLED to success. They don't know enough to take
the simple steps the gurus are actually telling them to take. They don't
think they should have to do the work because they BOUGHT the program

I have been nibbled by piranhas.

the company's main problems are:

i believe has a serious attitude problem and is severely lacking
the intelligence to distinguish between an option mailing
with working optout links, and what's commonly know as spam.
(or he just doesn't care)

the company and some die hard users(losers) have a "nazi"
like attitude to any sort of email.

everyone knows that spam can be a big problem, but often
these company's blow it out of proportion for quick profit.
they cause financial disruption to company's who have
invested years of hard work.
they send thousands of unsolicited complaints to hosts/isps.

there needs to be a balance or a monitoring authority put
in place to monitor the activities of these sorts of company's.
otherwise the internet will no longer be the free place it
once was.

if you are fedup with these companies taking away our freedom
of speech and our rights to create a legitimate business
and want to keep your internet a free place, email your isp
and lobby them
to use an alternate spam filtering system, one that actually
checks a message to see if it is spam, and checks for
unsubscribe links!

How Optimization can Supercharge a Website

Having a website is an important part of any businesses image. I once
worked with a fellow who would issue credit to new accounts based solely
on whether or not they had a phone number listed in their local phone
book. Today the website is providing a similar amount of credibility.
But, if that is all your website is doing for your business, you really
aren't getting your money's worth. If your website is nothing more than
your brochure in an electronic library, only people who know where it is
physically located (your URL) will be able to find you. That is why the
Search Engines are such a critical part of making your site useable.

Search Engines are like the card catalog of old and make it possible for
people to find your site without knowing your URL. There are thousands of
sites out there that have not been submitted to, or found, by the major
search engines. If you are one of the thousands, then this can make
finding your site extremely difficult. The first thing you need to do is
go to any of the search engines and search on the name of your website. If
the search engine can't find you, then neither can your potential
customer. If the search engine does find you, do another search based on
your product or service to see how high you appear in the listing. Most
search engines have a counter at the top that will tell you that they
found x thousand sites matching your search requirements. If you are in
the top 5 or 10 sites then you need read no further, but if you are
further down the listing the rest of this article will be of interest.

Search Engine robots scan the code of your website regularly.  They look
for Meta descriptions, Meta tags and/or the keywords in the copy to
determine the location of your site in the listings they produce. The more
of the keywords they are looking for that appear in the places mentioned,
the more likely your site will be in the top listings. Ideally, you should
have a Meta description, Meta tags and use keywords on every page on your
site. This provides more relevant search results and better content for
your reader. It also increases the specificity and makes the likelihood of
being found that much better.

A description Meta or title tag is hidden in the code on each page of your
website and most search engines place a high level of importance on
keywords in your title tag. These descriptions should include one or two
keyword phrases. Some engines even go so far as to use the description as
a site summary on the results page. Hot Tip:  Unless you are General
Motors, don't use your company name as the first few words in your title!

Each web page also contains Meta tags or keywords that are hidden. These
keywords should total no more than about 1000 characters and should be
duplicated as much as possible in the copy on the specific page.  Keywords
should generally relate to your product or service, those who need your
service and the benefits your users will receive from using your product
or service.

Determining your keywords is not as simple as it might seem.  You must put
yourself in the shoes of your prospect by thinking about the information
they are searching for on the internet. Most of the search engines have
some kind of a keyword look up tool that will allow you to try different
words or combinations of words to see how many times a particular word or
phrase were searched on in the last month. Words that have tens of
thousands of hits are often way too broad and will result in low web
ranking and little traffic. Words or combinations that are more specific
will likely have traffic figures in the hundreds or low thousands and be
more likely to produce meaningful results both in getting your website
positioned and in click thru activity which should be a precursor to
actual direct contact.

Doing the research, adding the Meta descriptions, Meta tags and sometimes
rewriting the copy on your web pages is a slow, time-consuming process,
but it can pay big dividends in making your site more accessible to your
prospective customers. The Cannon Advantage website was completed early in
the fourth quarter of 2002. By November I started thinking about how to
drive traffic to my website. At that time I was generating fewer than 4
visitors per day. I started reading and experimenting and was able to get
the average number of visitors up to over 22 visitors a day. The site was
still not even on the radar scope on Google and every search I tried led
me to believe that no one would ever find the site. It was then that I
decided it was time to bring in some professional help and the results
have been incredible. In about six weeks time, the average number of daily
visitors is now up over 190 per day. A Google search will find me
frequently in the top web ranking on a variety of multi-key word phrases
and the numbers are continuing to improve.  For website success, it's
important to gain a position in the top two or three pages for your top
key words.

The following are some of the rankings that the Cannon Advantage website
has achieved:
#1 of  3,910,000 for product market management
#1 of 2,370,000 for strategy for new product and new market
#1 of 1,990,000 for advantage of training and development
#1 of 1,070,000 for analysis of product life cycle
#3 of 766,000 for best practices audit
#1 of 1,960,000 for product marketing strategy
#1 of 738,000 for marketing focus lost
#1 & 2 of 477,000 for product life cycle marketing management
#1 of 308,000 for marketing strategy speaker
#2 of 3,240,000 for product management analysis

The search engines are always changing and these not be the same results
you will get when this is published, but we should show up near these
positions even then.

Is this all it takes for a successful web marketing strategy?   No, there
is no set "formula" that fits every business. The Cannon Advantage site
uses a mix of strategies including a small, very efficient, Pay-Per-Click
PPC campaign on Overture and on-going submission to category specific
Directory Listings. If you're selling a product, perhaps the best
ecommerce solution includes an online store shopping cart or E-Bay linked
back to the web site. An internet marketing plan needs to be fine tuned to
your unique criteria based on goals, target audience, market focus (local,
national, international) and category competitive environment
