By the time you receive this issue, the Olympic flame will be lit in the Athens Olympic
stadium and the athletes will be starting to prove what they are worth. Proving their worth
is not a privilege and duty given only to athletes, however. Each and every one of us has to
prove what we are worth every day, completing in our own private Olympics arena called
"life". Proving ourselves starts early in life and never stops. We must prove we are good
students, then good breadwinners, good parents, good spouses, good and wise elderly folk.
The stakes are high all the way, the hurdles sometimes insurmountable, it is not rare that
one of us stumbles and falls and is either carried out of the "field" or manages to pick
him/herself up again and continues, panting, to the finish line.
In the arena of life, there are no gold medals, no wreathes of olive branches - only the
knowledge that we have fought the good fight, ran the good race and given all we could.
Yet we can still learn something from the world's great athletes that will be competing for
the ultimate prize over the next couple of weeks. We can learn that it takes unwavering
dedication, hard work, and the iron will to keep on going if we are to achieve our goals.

P.S. As I was preparing this newsletter, a terrible shadow fell upon the Athens Olympics as
two of our best athletes are under investigation for not presenting themselves for doping
control tests and subsequently becoming involved in an accident. Everyone here is still
waiting for the final decision of the Disciplinary Committee right now and agonizing over
it. Still wearing the rose-colored glasses I put on last week, I believe that there will be a
logical explanation for everything that happened. On the other hand, I believe firmly in
drug-free athletics and in the exemplary punishment of anyone trying to "improve upon
nature" for the sake of competition (although the effort to "improve upon nature" is not a
phenomenon limited to sports!) The jury is still out, let's hope for the best.

I want to thank all of you who read, responded and commented on my post.
Each of you had valid responses, and I greatly appreciate your candidness and your
feedback.  A lot of you have given me something to think about.

I will be updating my reports as I continue to investigate the different mlm programs,
home-business opportunities, etc., that are out there.

A lot of your responses, as I have said, are valid and definitely have potential to be
expanded upon further.

Allow me to give you all a compliment, if I may.  In my opinion, you all would probably
make for a fantastic "master-mind" group for any company you chose to associate
yourselves with.  You all have a talent for cutting to the chase and expressing what you
have on your mind.  And I appreciate that.

Hi Cindy,

Let's see if I can answer your questions.

Yes, I strongly recommend the 5-Star rated traffic exchanges.  These ratings are based on
100s of hours of surfing, tracking the hits, and my dealings with the support of the
exchanges.  Have I missed some good traffic exchanges?  Probably.

I cannot speak to the quality of MPAM.  I have never been a member.

Lead Capture pages work the best.  Again, they must be short, simple and to the point.  The
idea is to capture email addresses to send them details of your service/product/program.

Most of my coffee downline came directly from traffic exchanges.  I used the company web
site, but that was at the beginning and the page will become less effective with time.  Your
pages must be fresh and usually are only good for 45-90 days.

Traffic exchanges must be surfed on a regular basis.  Of course, the more time you spend
surfing... the more effective the advertising results.  A person should set aside a regular
time to surf each day.  It is important to spend the time... be it 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours
or more a day.
Make a schedule. surf exchanges 1, 2 and 3 on Mondays; exchanges 4, 5, and
6 on Tuesdays, etc.

Most affiliate program sites are only good for a short time.  After seeing program XYZ's
site hundreds of times, a person is probably not going to spend any time on it.  You're better
off making a Splash Page or a Lead Capture page for your affiliate programs... make it
personal... post your name, photo, or something to set it apart from all the others.

A Splash Page is usually a quick hitting page and you link your join page or affiliate page
to it.

The first (and only) thing I could find wrong is the url you supplied. You
typed:

www.chandlersbooksnthings

Is this a .com? When I tried that, all I got was a template of some sort with none of the
fields filled in.

As a result, I don't know anything about what you are selling, how you are presenting it, or
what you are doing at all. Give us the complete url and maybe you will get some answers.

I had this site "rejigged' by a mate of mine, about 2 months ago, and am now averaging
about 1 signup for my free offer a day. But sales of my home study course are only
averaging 3 a month. I know from my experience many people [maybe not on this site], are
interested in this topic. I am in a traffic exchange, but don't seem to be getting anything out
of it. Have dabbled in webrings. Bought various "get instant' people to your site services. I
have just started a mini e-news group, I have a go at most things, that I think might help.
Am I missing something so obvious to other people and not me? My site is
www.blueribbonoptions.com .  I almost forgot, I also am in google adwords and overture
PPC. My site rated around 1.2 million on Alexa, last month. So I am getting a reasonable
number of visitors, just not a reasonable number of sales. Any comments greatly
appreciated.

Every human being who reaches the age of understanding of the purpose of money wishes
for more of it. But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, planning
