What is your “holding power”?
======================
Now, now, get your mind out of the gutter!!!! LOL This is a SERIOUS
publication!
Let’s get down to business:
I’ve read that 90% of all people who quit their online marketing efforts
quit just
before they would have actually succeeded.
How about YOU? What is YOUR “holding power” and how would you know if you
should stick it out or move on to something else?

Re: Does your family support your online efforts?
From: James Pendleton
Ahh it feels good to be back at AdlandPro. My 2 cents are being inspired by
the
tidbits. And yes! Robert I remember you!
My wife has always supported my web efforts after I looked up from the pc
after 2
solid years of teaching myself the web. (Laughing out loud!) Then I told her
about my hosting venture. With a frown she said hmmmm… well ok.

Re: Does your family support your online efforts?
From: Rudolph Burgzorg
Yes and No. I happen to live in a small Island and the majority of people
are
sceptical of anything new. I have been on the Internet for 7, years and I
have
not been able to get family members, friends or other people to buy into any
program
- not even Reality Millions!
----------------------------------------------------------------
I must tell you that I was on the Internet for 7,long years trying to find
a GENUINE Program. Quite by accident I found RM five months ago but I still
had
my fears and doubts until I saw PAUL CANNARIATO's Testimony.

Hello Amalia,
For me the Internet means Exploration - exploration
of Knowledge,of Investments, of life and living.

I have been asked what is the best way to make your money work for you.
Let us face facts – we are all sceptical
about innovative ideas. Invest as little as $10.

Hello Forum Members,
My #1 Priority is to raise $1,000,000 through online Investments to build a
Unique
Shelter here in the Bahamas for the homeless.
The objective of my Shelter is not only to provide a place to sleep and a
meal or two
but to give the Homeless a new beginning on the troubled Highway of life and
living.
I am involved with an Investment Program that is helping me to achieve the
required
capital. In the next three years I should be well on my way.

Re: your comments on my site
www.ockertworld.com
From: Brian Ockert
Thanks to everyone who reviewed my site. Robert Lee’s initial comments set
me
back a bit because I did say my site was just a place to advertise my
affiliate links
and it was initially set up to use on start page exchanges. - But your
reaction, Robert,
certainly made me think how careful you have to be to post to groups like
this. And
quite right too. Down right adverts should be frowned upon and that was
certainly
not my intention. Anyway - no hard feelings - your second post had some real
good
advice and I will try and use it as soon as I can.
Everyone else’s comments will also be taken into account as soon as I have
time –
Thanks guys - much appreciated.

Re: Response to Bill Cox
From: Russ Wilson/Webintel
Bill:
I completely concur with your estimation of the current market scene on the
WWW.
It has taken me longer than I had hoped to finally get a toehold on the WWW.
I went through the same trials and efforts as any other newbie. I joined
first one then
another affiliate program seeking success. I slowly with a lot of effort
built my list,
only to find that I was giving my leads away to the owners of the affiliate
programs I
had joined.
Each affiliate program I joined seemed to cost me more, and more money with
darn
little income. Each of course had an “upgrade” that promised wealth, but
delivered
“dust”. It got to the point where all I did was promote someone else’s
program, to
my leads so that they, the program owner could ‘cross promote’ to my lead.
I finally got lucky, I responded to one of the thousands of emails we all
receive, and
found a real business I could own, promote, and prosper from before I
completely
burnt out as so many before me have done. Of course, my business cost me
money
to own, but I more than make that money back and now I’m just glad that I
hung in
there.
Be persistent, persist, and persevere.

Re: Teach your team members to do as you do.
From: Gary Mutton
Bill I understand exactly what you are saying, and in the main you are
correct, but
there are ways of encouraging you members, downline (I hate that term,
downline.)
to be active and replicate your success.
I started marketing on the internet 3 years ago, I spent a lot of time and
money on
worthless affiliate programs that offered you tools and email or back office
training
material, but no real time one to one or one to group training.
Well I did not learn how to replicate the success of others, I did not have
a clue how
they did it, and as for getting your members / downline to be active, it
just did not
happen, and that made me feel like I was scamming them, they paid to join
programs
I was promoting then made nothing.
I stopped promoting affiliate programs as I had a hard time coming to terms
with the
fact that, I am responsible for recruiting people of which most will lose
their money.
Then I see a offer of real time help from a group called AIM Co-Op. it is a
FREE
help group for marketers by marketers, and I mean FREE there is no cost ever
for
membership just a requirement that you are active and offer help and support
to other
members that may need it. The help I have received from all the members has
been a
Godsend.
AIM offer help and training in 3 ways, there are Voip conference room
meetings 3
times a week of which one is a General Marketing training session, by our
trainer
Jim Clary. One is a presentation meeting for members of AIM and guests and
the
other is a General discussion meeting. And via Yahoo Instant Messenger, this
enables all active members to be in contact with each other in real time, so
there is
always some one you can contact for help at almost any time.
And also on the AIM home website there are written training material and
contact
details for help, also there are lots of tools for members to use as they
wish.
You will of course also make new online friends, as I have, all are more
than happy
to help in any way they can. I can honestly say that I am not alone anymore,
I am not
wondering around the internet wasting my money and time as I did for two
years.
Our trainer Jim Clary has taught us the correct way to market, and is most
useful
advice is to set yourself realistic goals that you can achieve each month.
The goal that is most relevant to you and me Bill is. Teach at least one new
member
a month how to replicate and do what you do. This may not sound like a lot
but
consider. If you are in a 4x4 downline program, you teach one a month how to
market successfully, in four months you have you first matrix line filled,
you have
your first four, but this is not just four recruits.
You have taken the time and trouble to teach them to do as you have done,
so you have four active members that can recruit and teach four each how
to market, and the four that those four recruit will be able to do the same,
so within a
year, you will have a powerful organization of active members.
Any one wishing to have the same help I have had, please contact me via my
web
form, this is a php web form so it prevents my email address being
harvested. But if I
receive serious enquiries I will respond with my contact details.

Re: Response to Bill Cox
From: Sharon Bray-McPherson
Dear Mr. Cox,
I found your post in the last issue of the Digest interesting because it
reminded me of
where I was when I started building an online business in 1998.
In my opinion the problem you are facing with getting your downlines to
perform
can be found within your own comments:
"I started out just being an affiliate of one company and when I wasn't
producing
enough there I expanded to more opportunities to sell other people's
products."
I remember from my own experiences first starting out that if a program
didn't
perform within a few months I'd move on to the next "latest and greatest"
opportunity.
The reason was that I actually believed the hype found all over the
internet, T.V. and
in magazines claiming you could earn big bucks within a short period of
time.
Before I knew it I was an affiliate for over a hundred programs - none of
them
producing anything.
I don't blame my lack of success with those products on the program owner or
affiliate manager, my lack of success was because I was spread too thin and
could
not devote the time or effort to properly market the programs. In all
honesty I admit
that I expected the money to start rolling in much more quickly than it
actually
does, and when those expectations didn't come through, I was gone.
I also learned that I couldn't sell all things to all people, so I selected
a couple of
niche markets and narrowed my affiliate choices to a few top-paying products
and/or
services for each niche. This allowed me to concentrate more closely on
target
markets, which started resulting in sales.
I hope that my experience gives you pause to re-think your statement...
"There will be no field that I will leave out, if there is a product out
there for sale, my
people will be selling it."
Sincerely,
Sharon Bray-McPherson

Facing and Conquering Adversity
From: Rebecca Beasley
If you think that running a business means smooth sailing and never a
problem, just
endless streams of money coming in, you are so sadly mistaken. But there is
hope.
And if you learn to face your problems and to find solutions on your own
without
constantly whining to your upline, you will succeed a lot faster that you
would
otherwise.
A problem is nothing but a test of your faith. It's a test of your ability.
If you can't
pass a small test how will you be able to pass a big one when you have
several
hundred or even thousand people depending on your and looking to you for
support?
Sometimes you have to get offline and actually use a pen and paper and think
through your problems and find ways to solve them without involving a lot of
other
people. For one thing, if you involve too many people it can get even worse,
and for
another thing you might wind up having to pay for it.
Sometimes all you need to do is wait and problems resolve themselves, but
usually
it's something minor that with just a little bit of brainstorming you have
the inborn
ability to come up with a way to fix it. And even if you're not quite sure
how to go
about the technical end of it, you can seek help for that.
Challenges are meant to make us stronger and give us higher self esteem and
boost
our confidence. When you meet those challenges and take it upon yourself to
not go
around asking "how, why, when...etc...” Figure it out for yourself. Read up
on the
subject, take a course. Take the time to better your own knowledge, it's
well worth
the effort and you will then have a much stronger attitude and more ability
than
before.
Education is a must. Don't overlook it. Get it while you can and while it's
free.

It's never a hill for a climber.

Site Reviews Please
From : Judith Tramayne-Barth
I have two sites I would like to have reviewed. I completely redesigned my
site at
http://www.agoodread.com and I would
like to know if it can be improved.
Especially my Book Club page.
The second site is at
http://www.mysteryread.com where people can download free
mystery books. It is already getting attention but my concern is bandwidth
and
paying for it.
Do you think it is appropriate to put up a donate button from Amazon and
explain
the money would be used to pay for the additional bandwidth for this site?
Thank you in advance for your reviews and comments.
