What’s YOUR story?
==================
Let’s get a bit more practical today. We are all involved in online business
for one
reason: to earn money and improve our way of life, right? That’s a nice,
broad goal,
and we all start out full of enthusiasm, try to learn the ropes, and go out
into the wide
world with stars in our eyes… Some of us seem to do much better than others.
They
make TONS of money. Others are not so lucky. They either barely make ends
meet
or they fail altogether and give up in disgust.
I would like to know YOUR story. Are you a success and how did you do it?
Or if you are still struggling, why do you think that is?

Re: Passionate
From: Eva Marie Farrell
Hi Amalia,
Yes, I agree with you that we should be passionate but it takes a lot of
courage, and
perseverance that also includes time and efforts in order to pursue our
goals. I only
work on the program or business that works for me that's my passion.

Re: What Are You Passionate About?
From: Monique Bizzell
I must be really passionate about design. I've been putting in very long
days,
sometimes 30 hours straight with the new tools I've developing for something
I
became passionate about - affordable marketing tools that produce results
for you
and give you the tools to quickly determine that.
When was a programmer I worked crazy hours, I have a need to finish
yesterday to
move on to the next tasks, but there are never enough hours in the day.
I have to remember to pace myself, but it's so easy to get lost in what
you're doing
that time doesn't exist.
I didn't have the finds to buy a RAD tool, so I've been piecing together
open source
tools and today I finally have a RAD that will work for me to develop the
front and
back end on my pc. I find some good remote development tools but they went
via
my server and it was eating my bandwidth up to produce the pages.
I had to install my on server with db and code compiler on windows. I
finally got all
the apps to speak to one another via my login and the first site development
tools
wrote too much verbose code over a odbc layer and to edit all those files
would slow
me down, but I found a solution and now can build my applications and much
sooner
than the other ways.
I get to write the code, test it online without touching my bandwidth and
all the tools
are completely free. That's several thousands in saving on software alone.
If you haven't been in the open source arena latest you really should check
out what
they are offering now-a -days.
Sorry to ramble, but I psyche about getting this programming environment and
being
able to work on my applications.
Thanks,
mb

Re: What is Your Passion?
From: Yvonne Finn
Well, I could say my passion is people.
Not the whole wide world in general, but the one on one interaction between
everyday encounters.
Please don't get me wrong!
I am not interested in gossip "or getting the dirt" on anyone.
What I mean is how I can make a positive difference in someone's life, on an
immediate basis. I enjoy being of service, whether supplying information or
actual
hands on help.
People, who are actively seeking to improve their lot in life, are my
passion!
I am a tireless cheerleader, an eternal encourager, a sounding board I don't
see how
you can help someone succeed, without succeeding yourself!
That's my passion!
Have a passionate day, week, life!

Re: Are YOU a salesperson - True as far as my Kids are concerned, but that’s
it.
From: Gary Mutton
Yes Cathy, I would convince My kids to chose the snack I want them to have
but
then they are kids, and my kids at that.
Where any one else is concerned, I truly am not a sales man, so that is as
far as that
goes. I will inform somebody of a product or program I like but if they say
to me
thanks but no thanks, then I will simply say, "OK then" and leave it at
that, I can't lie
and will not try to persuade them, I feel like a scum bag if I were to try
and persuade
people to spend money on something that they have already told me they don't
want,
so end of story.

Re: RSS
From: Monique Bizzell
RSS is exciting to me. I very new and I like to understand things from a
technical
angle first and here's a good link for that:
http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss
It's an easy read.
I got a free toolbar tool via Effectivebrand.com.
You can config the toolbar to whatever links, even html code objects and add
RSS
feeds, offer a link to download your tool bar and the toolbar user can get
your RSS
feeds even without an aggregator because one is built into the toolbar if
you choose
that open.
You can setup your account to easily send feeds.
I think it's a very neat tool to use.
Also I found a few RSS directories to promote my RSS.
Tripod blogs offer an easy RSS and you can config the pages almost as much
as any
html website tool.
Some things for others to try.
Thanks,
mb

Re: Ken's Response
From: Rebecca Beasley
Hi Ken...you are very right.
That is most people's reaction when someone punches them in the mouth, and
it was
meant to be a drastic example.
My point is, that to every action there is an equal AND/OR opposite
reaction.
I don't know all the technical terms for this, but a huge jet plane for
instance has fuel
the propels extremely hot air out the back (or whatever) and that backward
propulsion can push this huge piece of machinery forward and up and get it
high
enough in the air for it to fly faster than the speed of sound.
That's an opposite reaction between the huge jet and the fuel. But they both
work
together to do the task that needs to be done to make the jet fly.
(Forgive my non technical explanation)
Two people can have a total disagreement about any given subject and it can
turn
into a knock down drag out fight, or they can continue to talk things out
and find out
they agree on more than they disagree on.
It's all in how you react.
I've had several occasions in pm's and emails to realize that the written
language can
be taken the wrong way and cause a major disagreement just because someone
has
misunderstood you… they've had a certain "tone of voice" in mind that they
put with
your words.
Maybe they're skeptical, maybe they're suspicious because they've been taken
so
many times by unethical marketers, and it's not what you say but how they
take what
you say. And you might not be thinking along those lines at all, but
whatever you
said, or however you said it, whether you intended to offend them or not,
you have to
deal with trying to clean up the mess.
You can keep trying to be diplomatic and apologize for what they think you
meant of
you can get bent out of shape and ruin all your chances for any future
agreements
with this person.
How you react makes all the difference.
But the equal and opposite part comes in when you react in a positive way to
a
negative response. It works every time. Even if they don't follow your lead,
you
know you've done the right thing. Also they're more likely to come back some
day
than not and say... you know... I've been thinking about what you said… and
I have
to admit, I was wrong about you.

Reply to Ken Re: Positive Thinking
From: Cathy Wagner
Hi Ken,
Actually my mentor uses a very simple "nuts and bolts" approach to changing
thought patterns. Mostly, it involves physically writing specific
affirmations to
penetrate your subconscious faster and monitoring your thoughts and speech
(with
her help) to eliminate all negativity. She also focuses on gratitude,
tithing and some
visualization once you've gotten past the basics. It's a gradual process
that doesn't
promise instant results (although some have reported this,) but rather
produces long
term, positive habits that are designed to stick with you.

Cathy

Re: HYIP by Paul
From: Mike Sullivan
Greetings,
As to your statement that PIPS was first HYIP, no, far from it, and
technically, it is
not a HYIP. As you have done, so have many who saw the same sad results with
most MLM land deals, we looked elsewhere.
I research everything, and HYIP's have been around for years, but sadly, 90%
are
indeed scams, or as some will say, ponzi's. Does this mean you can't make
money?
No, it simple means most are short term earners, and most often with any
short term
HYIP, there will be losers.
Funny thing is, the percentage of losers in HYIP arena is no different than
that of the
MLM industry, so to say all HYIP's are scams is the same as calling all MLM
deals
scams. There are a few which do earn the stated claims though trades, forex,
stocks,
arbitrage, debentures, whatever, but they are far a few between in my
experience.
First, unless you can identify principals, office location, history, bank
references, and
normal due diligence, don't waste your time or money, for surely if this
most basic
information is absent, then it is surely a ponzi or scam. Do not invest in
anything
you cannot see, touch and contact, and this means do not invest in an
internet only
based HYIP.
I have seen hundreds come and go, and few will last more than a few years,
even the
best managed ones, so investor beware. Look at HYIP's as you would any other
high
risk venture. In my opinion, and as a gambler, both in business and casinos,
I put
HYIP's in same high risk category. Never risk more than you can afford to
lose, this
is as simple as it gets if you consider a typical HYIP.
As to reference to PIPS, although it is considered a HYIP by many, it is far
more
than a typical HYIP, and to explain would take more space than I have here.
I have
been in PIPS from start, and it has far exceeded my expectations, as it has
for
thousands of others, but does this mean it will be here tomorrow or next
week? NO.
It simply means I checked it out, spoke to CEO and all support staff,
visited offices,
contacted bank and licensing offices for region, and then took a leap of
faith. (g)
Well, the rest is history, PIPS has created more wealth than any other
business I have
ever researched, and continues to do so this very day, three years later. I
have lost
more in the stock market than I have with HYIP's, so in my opinion, if you
are
invested in stocks, then you are the perfect candidate to research HYIP's
and in my
experience, there is little difference in risk if you do your due diligence
first.
Again, never invest what you cannot afford to lose, but as any wealthy
person will
tell you, no risk, no reward. Look at all the people pumping billions into
lottery or
gambling, with poker tournaments exploding worldwide. This is no different
than
investing in HYIP's, so chose wisely and you will have far better odds of
hitting a
winner with a HYIP than with gambling and you need no experience, just chose
wisely.
Good luck, Mike

Cathy Wagner web site review.
www.onestopinternetbusiness.com
Cathy you have a great looking site.
Not crazy about the frames for the index page ... but it works with a Google
P/R of
4/10 !
Navigation: excellent
Color scheme: excellent
Load at 28.8 is 16 sec great!
Your site is content rich! As far as me believing it? Well I have read so
much hype
on the web for so many years I don't believe any of it. Helping others is a
great
concept.
I looked at it as a newbie and your site says you are very credible. It says
you have
credibility. That is what counts! I am sure you are already doing well with
it. Keep
up the good work!

Hello Cathy,
I love your site!
Anyone who knows me, know that I don't "gush". However, you site and the
copy
really "speaks" to me. For me that is exactly how a site should be, clear,
straight-
forward talk. Tell me who you are, what you do, with as little wandering and
waffling as possible.
Let me make some choices, which is what you do so, eloquently, on your very
professional and well organized website.
What you offer is a much needed service that will never be exhausted as the
number
of Internet business seem to grow exponentially, everyday.
The colour choices and your picture adds to the credibility of a very
creditable and
credible site.
Your prices are more than reasonable. I have seen some that were "highway
robbery"
that did not offer half or what you do.
Cathy, I wish you wonderful and sustained success with

P.S There is a typo in the last paragraph entitled "How Much"?
The last sentence should «your persistence" not "persistance".

Hello Vaughan,
Humor is indeed a necessity as so many of us are over-worked, over-stressed
and
over- serious. Speaking from personal experience, I know the importance of
"lightening up" whenever I can.
You site is well written and yet conveys the whimsy that you intended and
promised.
I especially enjoyed the "Throwing In The Towel" article.
As well, this is a mostly adult content and you made sure to say that,
clearly and with
humor.
I wish you a long run with
http://whimsicalwayz.com/ and I will be sure to check in
often.
We can all benefit from more laughter (sometimes it's the best medicine!)
