I hope you are all enjoying your summer! My own vacation is almost over… we are
just waiting for the painter to finish painting our condo in Athens so we can go
home. I was talking to an internet friend tonight who lives in Philadelphia,
U.S.A.
only a stone’s throw from Wilmington, Delaware where I spent my youth and he was
telling me about all the changes that have taken place in the area. I bet I
wouldn’t
recognize it now if I went there.
We are used to changes in this part of the world. Buildings change, scenery
changes,
life itself changes every year. Personally, I like change. My husband hates it.
I was wondering… how do YOU handle change?

Do you seek a mentor?
=================
For a long time, when I started out in online business, I tried to be fiercely
independent. I researched and studied and tried to reinvent the wheel. And I was
failing miserably. Then, I heard that there were successful people willing to
mentor
others and help them along. I should have thought… “Wow! Someone to actually
TELL me what I should be doing?? Let me at him!” Instead I pooh-poohed these
offers as s’cams.
One day, someone whose opinion I valued highly, led me to a group of such people
and I went, still dubious but with an open mind. And I came out, thinking…
“Wow!”
So I started listening to what these people were saying… and realized that I had
been
doing the wrong things all along. No wonder I was barely making ends meet!
My question for the day: Do you seek a mentor… and more important, do you
follow his/her advice?

Re: Do you ask for help? A reply ...
From: Kenneth R Sword Jr
I think we put too much on ourselves as we have "grown up" but the fact of the
matter is we are still growing and will continue to grow to the very end.
A simple timeline of life tells it all.
I'll call this "The Diaper".
At birth everything is new. Vibrant colors and all kinds of sounds. Wow, a world
at
my .... zzzzzzzzzzz!(as we fall asleep).
One thing at this point in life we do not pay attention to is the diaper
changing we go
through.
Then comes emulation. We try to mimic everything that is around us.
We learn to crawl and then walk and say our first word. All innocent so far.
But what the future holds will not be pretty.
We want to touch everything and that has a tendency to make "parents" mad at
times.
This leads to learning an emotion we don't like - fear. Got your hand slapped or
at
least a stern voice that made you think the devil rose out of your mama.
Somewhere in here we learn about the potty so we don't need diapers anymore.
We continue with growth and learning through pre-k through 12th grade.
Besides an education of being able to regurgitate answers from text books we
learn
to lie, cheat, how to manipulate, be disrespectful or we learn to watch others
do this
knowing that it's not right.
So some have learned values and others not during this period of life. But, one
thing
does come up through all of this. We learn we are not alone and that we do ask
for
help. Whether to get through a tough science project or just laziness, we all
have had
our reasons to ask.
Now we look at something else that raises its head - Pride.
There are those that know their limits and there are some that have too much
pride.
"Won't ask for directions to the closest water fountain if they were dying of
thirst".
Too much pride.
Young adult time. College or Military or not, one thing is sure. They have all
of the
answers.
Now it's time to strut your adulthood accomplishments. You’re 22 years old. How
long have you been earning wealth? Oh, you are not saving yet because of your
expenditures.
Now we reach the 30's. My, my. Two jobs, wife, 2 or 3 kids, two cars and bills
that
never end. Now you're feeling real stupid. Why didn't I start saving 10 years
ago? So
you start a penny or nickel jar.
Oooohh, the 40's. You're moving up from all that dedication of hard work but,
you
feel there is more. You look into other fields of interest. Maybe a career move.
Maybe you go back to school to make that career change. You find life more
comfortable now and are able to concentrate more on the family (now the kids are
almost grown). So you learn what's happening in their lives and you have no clue
what they are talking about. You don't recognize the language.
So you need to learn how to communicate with your kids and about their fashion
and
what is important to them.
You have past your 50th birthday 4 years ago because life is flying by you. You
feel
dumber than ever. So you start asking "where, what, how, when ...."
It's takes you a several more years to absorb what just happened and you are
facing
retirement. You say "Not so soon". You can't believe it.
Then one day you and your spouse are at your child's house to have dinner with
their
family. A lovely meal and conversation but you seem vague with a few details
from
time to time. That's ok.
It's time to go. It's late and you are about to leave. To your embarrassment
your
grandchild points out you spilled your drink. But where they are pointing isn't
from a
spilled drink.
Aarrrhhhh!! Incontinence. Now you are going to have to learn all over again how
to
use a diaper.
See, you are never too old to learn. As for the help, I bet you asked your child
to go
to the store for you. Didn't you, wet pants?

Re: Asking for help
From: Cathy Wagner
Hi Amalia,
I am pleased to have an opportunity to read today's digest. This is the busiest
Summer I've ever had!
To answer your question, I always ask for help...now. :)
I used to just plod along on my own, trying to figure out what works and what
doesn't, boy is that the long route! Today, I ask for help with a lot of things,
from
parenting to business. It's amazing how much aggravation can be cut out of life
by
simply asking for help or advice from someone who's already been through it.
Have a Profitable Day,
Cathy Wagner

I Really enjoyed this Article and How True it is. This is Something that I and
Many
need to Implement into Our lives More Often. I Recently Posted a Forum that kind
of Touched on this subject. Not to Overwhelm Yourselves and Not to let Past
Failures get you down.
Sometimes we can Overwhelm ourselves with Too Much in our Personal Lives and
Business Lives and You Must Take a Step Back and Let some things Go. It is
difficult to do sometimes. I know that I Overwhelm Myself with Too Many
Affiliate
Programs for instance. I have made some changes, Thanks to some Great Advice
from Friends here at Adlandpro, and it Made me Feel Lighter and More Organized.
Took a lot of Stress off of me.
I still Have Much Work to do on My Website but Now I feel Like I have a Starting
Point. I did not before. Thank You again for this Wonderful Article. I Hope that
More People will Take Your Advice.

A RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
From: Gerri D Smith, AdLandPro Gold Member
Copyright 2005
"Desire is a tremendous force, and must be directed in the right channels
(to work).
- Florence Scovel Shinn
Take one cup of Desire,
Mix well with a heart full of Passion,
Shake in a tumbler of Willpower,
Add a full cup of Thought.
Stir in a full cup of Commitment,
Slowly add one heaping spoonful of Planning, Ideas, Capital, and Fun
Add to this a pinch of Faith (about the size of a mustard seed), and stir
all until well
blended.
With lots of Action, you will soon start to see the results of your Effort
and Hard
Work.
If your success doesn't come true the first time, start the recipe over
again - this time
with more feeling. Discovering what you need to do to make the recipe for
success
work, places you at the threshold of where you wish to be. Listen to the
voice inside
of you. Trust the source that comes from a Higher Power. He knows all of
your
wishes, your dreams, your ideas, and your plans for fulfilling them. You
will be
guided by the wisdom of the ages.
To do this you must start from a new point of action. Get rid of all doubt,
confusion,
and fear that prevents you from succeeding and reaching your goals. Then you
will
no longer react to the negative things in your life, and will live with a
purpose, and
go forth with a confidence that increases with each successful event. Then,
many of
the negative and disappointing events that happen will have no affect on you
or the
choices you make.
Pay attention to the guidance you receive. Your "inner ear" will lead you to
the right
choice and in the right direction. If it's something you desire now, go for
it. Fearing
to make that commitment will make you miss the opportunity - and it may just
be the
opportunity of your lifetime.
For the "Recipe for Success» to work for you, you must really feel it and
practice it
daily. Find something that you are committed to and make it happen. If it's
to invent
the next cure for a stubborn disease; if it’s to build the next
architectural empire; if
it's to become more wealthy then you can ever imagine, then take that deep
desire
and do everything you can to make it happen.
Feel free to change the "Recipe for Success" in any way you wish. It's yours
to
amend so that it fits your desires, your goals, your dreams, your life. Make
it
important enough to change your life. If you're in business become aware of
how you
conduct yourself with your clients, associates, employees, your vendors and
suppliers. Measure their performance based on the way you interact and/or
react to
them.
If your performance is negative and critical, change it. If it's positive
and uplifting,
keep doing it. Try not to confuse or frustrate others. Try not to let them
confuse,
frustrate or anger you. Be aware of your feelings moment by moment. Do you
show
anger? Doubt? Fear? Are you judgmental? How can you control your thoughts to
be
positive and upbeat. Knowing how is the first step to knowing yourself. This
leads to
empowerment - and to success.
Can you do it? Can you actually take this step in faith?

=================== Training Article ========================
Surf Smartly, by Mrinmoy Majumder
============================
Internet is a place to find something – be it Information, Money or
Relaxation.
But it is not easy to find the desired, adequate and reliable information in
a flash.
Suppose we need some information about soccer .What we do ?
We use some search engine. Most of search engines will give you thousand of
results. Now you have to click the links. More than 60% among them will be
irrelevant (you can get a link to a place named after D. Soccer) Then check
whether
it has the information you are searching. It takes nearly 15-20 min for an
experienced
net user and more than one hour for a novice to get the correct web page.
Even if you find a suitable web page you can not believe it... Is the
information given
in the site reliable?
How can you find that the site is not a s’cam?
It’s nearly impossible for a novice to catch a scam/unreliable site.
Experienced users
can try.
Now scam sites generally have:-
1.They distribute hidden spyware, multi pop ups or popunders.
2. No 's' after http. Or no lock sign in your browser.
3. Huge amounts of animation
Even if they have s and doesn't distribute spy ware etc., you can not say
the site is
safe until you use it. A good site often turns to a worst one especially
when they are
expected to deliver. As for example: The 'surf 4 cash' sites. When you ask
for payout
they give you : no response.
Availability of the site is another concern. There are many sites which do
not last.
Due to lack of funds they vanish. Suppose you bookmark a site. But when you
need
information from that site say -the match result of the weekend EPL matches-
you
cannot access the page.
There are some very good and reliable sites in net. The problem is, you must
use a
site thoughtfully and for a long time to see whether its really good. Is it
possible?
So there are various link pages in the net which claim to guide you to the
most
desired and faithful sites. But 'four of five' of those will lead you to yet
another
s’cam. So-called experts can also lead you to s’cams. Actually, they earn
money for
this. So they never test it. But they can also be cheated by those sites.
So who will you believe? How will you believe?
There is some techniques.
1. First, you have to clearly define your question. Suppose you need
information
about soccer. You must clearly define the type of information you want.
Like; you
want simple FAQ or News or Historical data.
2. You want to buy something or read or earn or download??
In summary – you must define your desire clearly.
3. Now ask your friends about your question – they will give you the
addresses from
which they have profited or they promote or the most popular ones.
But often these are reduced to dumb scams. The shorter and smarter way is –
if you
are looking for....
1. FAQ – go to encyclopedias, dictionaries
2. Books and Magazine – Search for 'library' or 'collection' in any search
engine.
3. Company – go to Yellow pages
4. Products – go to Yellow pages
5. Software – search for 'full downloads' in any search engine.
4. If you want to earn something- first search for “s’cams” then visit
forums, chat
rooms and try to find out the most common programs.
There are some sites that can help you in your search.
1. http://www.wysn.int.tf – This site
will ask you questions and guide you to your
desired information.
2. http://www.gjgj24.edu.tf – Its
manual search engine. You can ask real people.
Anyway, always remember that you must use a web page thoroughly before
coming
to any conclusion. Don’t believe in what other say, believe in your
experience.
