Dear Bogdan,

A few months back I remember reading about your success story
contest and thinking that I would submit when I qualified. Then last
week I read it again and thought... I'll wait another month or two
until I qualify.

Then today it hit me. What am I waiting for? I'm a success story
right now. So, I'm submitting my story today.

For ten years I've tried to find something to do from my home to
help my husband learn a new trade or business. He's a carpet
layer and he simple cannot do this forever. We live paycheck to
paycheck and for the last two years I have not had a car. He
currently drives a huge bread van to work.

Because of my own physical disability I can't get a job away
from my home... Thus I decided to do something on the Internet.

Things finally shaped up this year for me when I realized what
was needed on the Net, which was the fact that so many people
want to start a web business, but they are very lost as to how to
do it properly.

As I began helping people by answering their questions on message
boards I realized I had found my nitch. I decided to create a website
for newbie net marketers.

I opened May 1st and within the month I had right around 200 people
sign up to my newsletter. These people came from my posts to
one particular Internet forum as well as word of mouth. I didn't post
advertisements, I helped answer posts from newbies. Usually the ones
that said, "Help! I'm a newbie!" ;-)

>From the vary first issue of my newsletter I began receiving such
wonderful thank you notes from my little group of readers. I would ask
them if I could use them as testimonials for my website, but had to
stop as they continued to roll in almost daily and still do.

I was really amazed at how much my newsletter seem to help people.
Just about the time when I would think, "Oh, is this article good enough?"
or "I wonder if anyone needs to know this?" I'd receive another email
thanking me for those articles. Even some of the simplest tips were
getting great responses from my readers.

By June, I began to see people posting nice things about me and
recommending my website to others on the message boards that I
frequented.

One day I can't remember if it was in May or June, I received an email
from someone that truly brought tears to my eyes. One of my subscribers
had asked me for help on their website, and just after he sent the email to
me he had intruders come into his home and beat him to the point of
hospitalization.

When I received his request for help, I had the time that day so I went
to his website and took a peek. His site was really a mess. I had no
idea how to tell him, I didn't want to hurt his feelings, and I simply had
no idea where to start, so instead I decided to fix it for him.

Then around a week later he emailed me and told me what happened to
him and how what I had done had made him feel so much better about
the human race. This experience touched me deeply and I still feel
I received the better gift in helping him, then he did from my help.

With his permission I published his email experience to me. I had
three publishers request it for their own ezines.

As time has gone by I continue to receive thank you's from my readers
daily. Recently, I've had several people tell me that I was developing
a reputation for being a sweetheart... <blush>

More things are cropping up. I've never advertised that I create websites,
but over the past month I've had 5 requests and earned over 1000.00
filling these request.

This past week I've had several webmasters contact me for various
things, telling me that they would like to recommend my website to
their newbies and asked me if I create websites or have web hosting.

I've even had people asking me when I would release my new ebook
on building a business on the Net, as they are anxious to buy from
me.

Building a business on the Internet is a lonely business in the physical
world. Each day I must work alone and push myself to meet deadlines.
What I find that drives me are the wonderful email responses and
thank you's from my readers and people who visit my website.

These responses I get range from a simple, "thank you" to some of
the most endearing ... too embarrassing to share... responses on
my style of writing and what I write.

This to me, and I would think to anyone, has got to be worth more
than the financial gain I know I will soon have. I've never felt so well
thought of, loved, and cared about, aside from my personal friends
and family, than I do from my Net business.

Within a year my husband will be able to go back to college and
try something new. In two months I will have a car. I've not had one
for two years. It's been ruff having to rely on others to get around.

So, even though my original goal of getting my husband out of
his carpet laying business is a year off, and my new car a few
more months, I feel my Internet business is a smashing success.

I love what I do and it's very hard to take time off as I love to open my
email box and see all those lovely responses from my readers.

So, there you have it, my little, although hard to talk about myself
in this way, success story. :-)

Warmest Regards,
Chrisi Darrington
