Greetings All
Welcome 490 new subscribers who joined list since last
mailing.
----===(*)===-----
We have started initial design of new advertising
system which will use browser features to conduct searches,
meaning that user won't have to go to any specific search
engine to find information. Typing of keywords directly in
the browser location filed will find relevant information.
In order for this feature to work, owner of the browser has
to download a very small plug-in which will install on
the user's computer and then enable user to make searches
directly from the browser.
As you know, no matter how good is the system, its success
will depend on how many people are using it.
My question to Adland Digest subscribers is what kind of
incentive should we offer to our affiliates in order to get
the highest possible amount of downloads and maybe enable
their earnings based on searches during the time plug-in is
installed on computers of users referred by those
affiliates.
I welcome any suggestions. Bogdan Fiedur

=====3 Ways To Make Your Prospects Feel
Comfortable!=======
From:Larry Dotson
1) Answer Their Questions Ahead Of Time
Include a FAQ on your web site or via e-mail on an
autoresponder. This will give your customers extra
convenience without having to contact you. Of course
there are some questions you can't answer by using
Frequently Asked Questions. You will get questions
that you never thought of, but you can just keep adding
them to your list.
2) Make A Good First Impression
Create a good first impression. You will not be able
to sell very many products if your visitors think your
web site looks unprofessional. Use crisp graphics,
attractive color combinations, a readable text size,
even spacing, even margins, bold headlines, indent
benefits, etc.
3) Tell Them About Your After-Support
Tell your audience what kind of support they will
get after they buy. It could be free consulting, tech
support, free servicing, etc. This may also answer
some of their buying questions ahead of time.
People don't want to buy products without knowing
you will be there to help if they have problems.

Katheryn Labosky writes:
Your tone to me, though, Robert, is somewhat
"combative" (in my opinion), and I'm really not
going to turn this into a "combative" public
discussion, as it is not the way I do business.
End quote.
Katheryn... really, me... combative? Never!
I do, however, take to task those that build themselves up
while tearing down others through untruths, invalid
statements and inaccurate reporting. You, my dear, have
managed to do all 3 in two simple messages to this digest.
Let's start with the most obvious:
I am not, never was and most likely never will be, a member
of your
newsletter. I was simply responding to what you had posted
in a prior
digest. Don't blame me for your short attention span and
forgetfulness
about your posts here. They are all archived and all anyone
has to do is go back 2 issues and see what you've started.
Katheryn, "FDIC" means "Federal Deposit
Insurance Commission" and is meant as a way for the US
government to protect investments, such as term deposits,
savings accounts, T-Bills, etc, from being lost through poor
investment choices by the bank/lender institution.
Why on earth would PayPal need to be FDIC? They do NOT
accept deposits, as an investment. They provide a means of
transaction only. And if you don't like what they did to
your account, you complain to your credit card company and
go from there. No need for the US government to require FDIC
under these circumstances.
Do you understand? Katheryn, if you are going to complain
about the way someone does business, you should understand
what and how they do it first.
You next statement about PayPal needing "more
regulation" falls on it's face, because you obviously
know little or nothing about the current
regulation status of PayPal and other such transactional
businesses.
And just because you can't understand a TOS (I'm not
surprised) doesn't mean that they are more likely to be bad,
but you always have the option of getting a legal opinion
from someone you trust, since your own understanding is
limited, as you stated.
Again, I ask that you rethink what you have stated earlier,
apologize and get past this.
You are free to have your opinions, but please, only share
them when they are grounded, very well grounded, in the
truth... and not your imagination and limited area of
expertise.
Opinions are fine for web site reviews, many have read mine
and been mortified/grateful and/or a combination of both.
Opinions based on false information needs to be corrected...
as soon as possible. We all have a right to the TRUTH, not
someone's misguided
opinion.
Katheryn, please take the time to go back and read the
entire posts of the last 2 digests that have brought this
about.
Here is combined relevant information.
http://www.stupidnewbies.com/digest-1.htm
Then do more research about PayPal, FDIC and such. I'll be
happy to
provide more links, as I did in my previous post, to help
you properly
research this topic.
You only get things right once, but a lie lives forever!

From:Amalia Sotiriadou
Subject:Mailing purchased emails
Hi Jack!
Following up with your leads is an art in itself, and a very
long chapter
in Marketing.
Before you even start following up with your leads, you
should analyze
them first:
1. What did these leads double opt in for?
2. What sector are they coming from?
3. Are they newbies or pros?
Just some of the questions you should be asking. There may
be more.
Since these leads were "purchased", they probably
did not sign up for your own specific opportunity - so they
are what I call "generic leads": People that may
have said they are interested in making money online- and
are probably still searching a way to do it.
You will not get very far by mailing ads to these people.
Like all of us,
they see hundreds of ads a day and they dismiss ads easily.
What you have to do, is enter into a process of
"relationship building".
Since you are talking about 100-200 people, use an
autoresponder. Write a series of letters, the first one
introducing yourself, explaining where you got their address
from and what you are all about. Avoid advertising your
opportunity on the first letter. Follow up with 8-10 letters
gradually letting people know more about your product and
why THEY need it. If you can, lead them to some good, free
resources, or just show them where to download a free ebook
or three. All this must be done gradually and in the space
of perhaps a month. Most autoresponders allow you to send
"drip mail" Use this feature to let your leads
know that you care about them and that you want to help them
succeed.
As I said, this is a long chapter in Marketing and I can't
fit everything
in here! I hope I gave you some pointers and things to think
about.

From:Peter Green
Subject:Mailing purchased emails
In reply to your Post Jack, before you purchase your leads
it is always a good practise to have follow up messages pre
written to send your leads.
Depending where you purchase your leads from has a bearing
on how you treat your leads or a better choice of word would
be prospects. There are a number of Online Companied who
have auto-responders and are set-up with the follow-up
E-mails so as soon as you purchase your leads they are
placed in the "system" for you.
Then when they have received this set number of E-mails you
then add your own E-mails to sent to your now Prospects.
If you are attempting to work hands on with your leads you
will need to have your own system in place. My own system
consists of sending the first E-mail out individually to
each lead. Then using an autoresponder or in my case I also
use a mail merge software package which I use to send out my
Weekly Internet Marketers Ezine ~ The INDEX ~. This software
inserts the name and any other personal details of the lead
into a pre written E-mail. (This takes the same time as an
autoresponder.)
One TIP is to add your own Name and E-mail address once or
twice in the list of leads so you will know that the list
has all been sent your
E-mail.
To build a relationship with your Leads you MUST do a
Follow-Up series of E-mails and avenues of continuous
contact. Just a hello E-mail with NO links to go to is
generally the one where you get their interest so they will
watch for future information, or they will request removal.
In the Follow-Up for those who have not opted-out, you need
to provide them some reward.
So, at this point, we will "Tell Them" that you
are going to give them a
couple FREE GIFTS.
"Marketing 101" is Building a Relationship, it's
an "ART", and it takes
time to do !
The letters are designed to offer a little more information
for your Leads urging them to get signed up as FREE
Affiliates, build up a relationship, and introduce people to
the business that is neither aggressive nor demanding.
REMEMBER:
"Put yourself in the frame of mind of the LEAD"
How would you react to what is sent ?
Place yourself in this mindset and success becomes the norm.
Treat your leads as you would want to be treated.
You need to send your first E-mail to the leads as soon as
possible after you receive their information.
By reading the postings you will learn heaps. One posting
mentions about having people in your upline who are good
marketers and or good at recruiting people.
I have found both but it has taken some soul searching. You

Subject:Mailing purchased emails
Hi Jack,
I am surprised to learn that Instant Internet Empires does
not explain how to
send mail to your list.
Nine out of ten internet marketers today will tell you that
you must have
software to send messages to your list, but not me. I am
going to tell you
exactly how to mail to your list without any kind of fancy
or expensive
software. This works perfectly well for any small to medium
sized list.
1. Open your mailing list or database in Excel or some other
spreadsheet
program. Just let the program open the list anyway it wants
to. (If you don't
have a list compiled, you can paste individual addresses or
even, lists of them as plain text by using the Paste Special
feature. Be sure to create one long column, that will make
it easy to sort the data alphabetically and check for
duplicates.)
2. With each piece of information in it's own cell, you can
delete all the
columns that do not contain email addresses and save it as
something like
emailtext so as not to get it confused with your mailing
list or database. Then, using Word or another text document
program, open the file you just created in Excel (be sure
your "Open" window displays All Documents) and you
should see a long list of email addresses in a column.
3. Go to the Edit menu and click where it says Replace. You
will get a small
window: click where it says More on the bottom right of that
small window, then again on Special at the bottom of the now
expanded small window. From the Special menu select
Paragraph Mark (this should go in the Find What field) and
Replace it with a comma, then click the Replace button. Let
it replace them throughout the entire document and you will
have a long, run-on sentence of email address separated by
commas.
4. Send as Fast as You Can Copy and Paste! Now, copy the
addresses in chunks of twenty and paste them into the Bcc
field of your email message (more than 20 can get your
message flagged as SPAM). Be sure to insert line breaks
after each chunk of 20 as you mail to your entire list by
only copying and pasting!
Once you have written your message, you can finish your
mailing in less than 30 minutes, even if you have a list of
1000! Be sure to save this document and add new addresses as
you collect them.
Have a Profitable Day,
Cathy Wagner

Subject:eMail Spam
Bogdan said in his Adland Digest intro:
>I regret only that because of unscrupulous marketers who
produce
tremendous amounts of spam, email is losing its power
comparing to what it
used to be 3-4
years ago.>
The reason most adults online today see unsolicited
commercial eMail as
Spam is because, besides the amount, and its repetition,
whenever they
want to buy something, they can do a web search, go to
Yahoo! AOL, MSN,
Adland, etc. and very easily find what they want to buy. So
we see no
need, and have no desire to receive most unsolicited
commercial eMail!
As for myself, I see virtually ALL unsolicited eMail from
strangers as
Spam. If they indicate they visited my website (which may be
a lie) and
offer something to enhance it, I probably won't report it as
Spam. But for
nearly all stranger eMail I do!

From:Tony Logue
Subject:No hype, just honest advice
Cynthia Holmes, in Adland Digest issue 343 said, (condensed
for time)
--> Pick a good company, ethical, established.
--> Make sure it has a product that is exclusive and in
demand.
--> Make sure you have an upline that has earned some
money and has tools
and resources for you to duplicate them.
--> If you are quite sure you've picked a good company,
focus on it to the
exclusion of all else.
--> Make a simple website about you and how great a
sponsor you would be
and offer some useful information for people looking for a
biz opp and
promote that. This is called 'relationship building'.
All of these are excellent but there is one key element
missing, and it's
the primary reason most people don't succeed, not only
online, but offline
as well. That is a constant stream of people to talk
to, or in sales
jargon, *leads*.
You know the drill, you sign up in a new program, get your
product, you're
all excited, and wham...you've talked to your friends and
family, they all
rain on your parade, and before the first 30 days is up,
you're a
statistic. One of the 95% who fail, and now you're one
of those people
who talk about how terrible network marketing is and they're
all just
scams and schemes.
The truth is being successful with any endeavor takes
"mental toughness".
That ability to break through the wall of success and
achieve your goals.
If it was easy, everyone could do it. The thing that
keeps you going is
really understanding the "why" of what you are
doing. Why did you start
this? What are you hoping to achieve? A new
house? New car? A little
extra money for a vacation? That's what to focus on.
Also, have fun. If it's not fun for you it won't last.
What makes it
fun? Having a team of people that you are working with
to provide leads
and support to help you achieve your "why".
Not some recruiter that
signed you up, took your money, and moved on. We've
all been there.
After 25 years of searching, I finally am part of a true
team of people
making a difference in not only my life, but others as well.
What a blast. The sad thing is that there are so many
people online and
offline that just want what's in it for them.
I haven't read a lot of the Adland Digest until this
morning, and I must
say this is a great eZine. One of the best I've seen,
and I plan to spend
a lot more time learning and trying to offer help any way I
can.
Keep up the good work.

Subject:Plan Of Action
One of the best ways that I promote is participating
in disscussion at
internet marketing or business forums. You can gain great
credibility
online and meet new friends that you know are reliable. You
can go to any
search engine and type in free internet marketing forums and
you will get
tons of sites that show up. You can get great exposure from
these also. I
have surfed through many business forums, added a few tips
that might help
people, and get a whole bunch of responses of people telling
me that they
have applied a few of my tips and see results.
I am in the making of developing my own internet
marketing forum that I
will have full of information that will help you succeed.
About 95% of the
content or others will post, will be for free. I have always
been
slightly sketchy about paying any money(I still haven't
spent any money,
but have been making money on the web!)That's why I want
people to achieve
some sort of success before they decide to consider products
or resources.
Going through many forums, I have come across a topic
called "Plan Of
Action" It was written by
Valerie Underhill (ceo/editor AGPCommunity Ezine
http://www.agpcommunity.com)
In it she discusses a highly effective plan of action that
discusses how
to get results using free advertising. Everything from click
exchanges to
free ezine ads. She outlines the most organized way to do it
and if you
apply it you will see results. What intrigued me about it
was that
everything was free and so organized. I have used her
organization
concepts to keep me up to date. Very highly effective plan
and you can

Subject:Where I should "throw my money"?
OK, sorry for the cheesy subject line.
Here's my dilemma. I am neither a webmaster, although
I put together a
website/online store, nor a marketer. Yet it seems
that any site I go to, surf,
click, etc., all relates to one of those two subjects.
I need to be able to market to people who are surfing to buy
products.
Does that mean that the ONLY option for me is the Search
Engines?
I've gotten, via clicking and surfing, hundreds of visitors
to my website
(gift items). But none stop long enough to browse.
I've tried even using
some of the marketing tricks: adding a letter as
introduction (instead of
a cool java entryway, or whatever it is called) and putting
my picture
there, and using "I" instead of "we" so
that it is more personal.
I've spent small amounts of money (not over $25) on
advertising with
various places (the one for $25 ripped me off as I never
received anything
that they said I would). But it seems that those
routes don't work for
me.
The only thing I can think of now, is that where I should
"throw my money"
is to the search engines, optimization, etc. Is this
correct?

Subject:Chat spam and abuse
Hi subscribers.
I realize that this topic has been brought up for some time.
According to
my knowledge. Allot of chat rooms have been overrun with
complete stupidity
and anyone who has been the major chat rooms of AOL and
yahoo knows what I
am talking about.
Every time I go on these yahoo chat rooms. I just get
flooded with chat
spam to such extent that it is getting so tiresome that its
not worth
chatting with friends in the room. Not only that, other
chatters are
getting completely disgusted. Believe me. The business and
career chats
are just chock full of uneducated people that spam the room
over and over
again.
There are a number of chat rooms that been taken over by the
porn
merchants. Then again. People are also getting spammed in
private and
instant messages. This dilemma has been going on for a year
now with yahoo
and its just getting worse. Yahoo seems to be doing very
little to solve
this problem.
The problem I find most disturbing that most chatters are
hell bent on
using foul language that is uncalled for. It goes to show
you that many do
not review the rules of chat rooms. The fact is that there
is a right way
and a wrong way to promote an opportunity via chat rooms and
spamming chat
rooms is not the right thing to do.

Subject: http://www.clickthebest.com
Hi Bogdan and Adlanders;
I would like a review of http://www.clickthebest.com
before anyone gets
excited; it is a pay-per-click search engine that runs from
a script so I
can't do much about the navigation. I would like the
members of the
Digest to look at how I have attempted to target the search
engine toward
real estate and related subjects.
The plan is to target, real estate, mortgage, insurance and
home repair
professionals as advertisers and Home Owners/Buyers as
search customers.
All new accounts begin with a $10 balance so advertisers can
try before
they buy.
If you remember, I opened a thread about starting an
Internet community
and offering paid services to the members. One of the
things that paid
members will receive is advertising credit on http://www.clickthebest.com
I have some other features and benefits in the works
and I think my
real estate community will be really good when it is done.
The community
is at http://www.snappyads.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi
I will get a good domain
name for it when I am ready to charge for membership.
I would like some feedback about the real estate community
as well.
Click the best.com has been up about a month and currently
has an Alexa
toolbar ranking of 266,963. I doubt that I will pay
for Yahoo inclusion.
I will try to do well in Google and get in the web page
results.

Product Review: Mark Joyner's Farewell Package
ByTerry Dean
Overall Opinion: Highly Recommended
I was impressed. And if you know me, you know that
doesn't happen very easily.
I paid for the Mark Joyner Farewell package when it was
first
offered.
I've been in this business for over 6 years and have earned
millions online personally, but I had to jump on the offer.
There was so much invaluable code in this package that
something would have had to be wrong with my head to miss
it.
This source code allows you to create your own products, run
an affiliate
program, set-up a membership site, and so much more...
I received my package a few days ago and opened it up
immediately.
Several parts of it immediately took me by surprise.
Most of the time when you read a sales letter you expect
that they may be hyping it up a little. "OK,
their product may be good, but it probably isn't quite as
good as what they're saying." So you take it all
with a grain of salt.
But the package I received actually excelled over the sales
letter this time.
The sales letter is a good one of course, but his package is
actually much
better than the sales letter represents.
You can see the sales letter here, but as I said, it really
doesn't do the offer
full justice:

In fact, here are 3 reasons why this package is the best
purchase decision I've made this year (and I buy a lot).
1. Besides including all the source codes that he promised,
he has included
extra surprise codes.
I looked through the CDs immediately and noticed several
programs and source codes that Mark didn't even mention in
his letter.
There are even little additions in each code that will
easily multiply the
results and sales anyone will get from it. Mark
definitely knows how to run his business and how to get code
developed for maximum profits.
If you use only one of these codes, then you will have
gotten 10 times your value from the package.

2. The audio interviews are worth way more than the total
cost of the package.
I had looked at the audio interviews as the "free
bonus" Mark was using to add a little additional value
to the package. I was wrong.
I've listened to 7 of the interviews so far...
These interviews are brand new. They were created
specifically for this package and include many steps,
strategies, and techniques Mark Joyner personally gives you
to use the source code to maximum advantage.
Mark handpicked the people interviewing him on these CDs to
make sure he had the cream-of-the-crop. In fact, he
turns the interview around several times to actually pull
never before revealed information out of the person doing
the interview.
The CDs are done so that some of them are on a basic level
to get a beginner started. Other ones are so advanced
that a pro like me was actually taking notes with plans to
implement those techniques soon. No matter what level you're
at, there is definitely something for you in these
recordings.
Even if you were drop dead lazy and never used a single
source code, you would still get way more than your money's
worth with these interviews.

3. You get to take part in a private support community to
network and work
together with other users.
This is never once mentioned in the sales letter, but he has
actually built a
support community for all buyers.
You'll find developers who can help you modify the code, top
marketing experts, and a place to network with others.
I don't have any idea why Mark never mentioned this in the
sales copy. It easily doubles or triples the value of the
package.
To put it simply...you are not alone when you buy this.
You instantly become a member of a closed door community who
are striving for success online together.

And I'm not the only one who has been impressed with the
package so far. I've corresponded with Mark personally
and he shared some of the other rave reviews that have come
in already...
Donna Knight of sitehits.com said, "After examining
only part of the source code, I've seen lots of previously
unrevealed gems. I really believe this package can
make my company at least a million dollars with only a
fraction of what's included ..."
Lan Turner, the CEO of Gecko Software (geckosoftware.com)
said, "It has already saved my company hundreds of
thousands of man hours of my own companies' development
time, in being able to implement the tools and services he
has provided. Having this information handed to us as Mark
has done will propel my own company forward by over a year
..."
Here's what Bill Hibler of rudlreport.com said:
"My package arrived yesterday
morning and I haven't had much sleep since then. I bought
this package for the software, plain and simple.
This is just a license to print money as far as I'm
concerned.
I was interested in the recordings but assumed these were
old interviews just thrown in to sweeten the pot. Boy, was I
wrong! When I heard you refer specifically to the Farewell
Package in your interview with Chayden Bates, I knew I was
getting fresh information."
Mark is only selling 2,000 of these packages total and with
all of his partners
they are moving fast. So check right now to see if the
sales letter is still
up. If the sales letter is still online, then you
haven't missed your
chance...yet:

=====================Joke of the Day
(1)===============
An eccentric philosophy professor gave a one question final
exam after an entire semester dealing with a broad
array of
topics.
The class was already seated and ready to go when the
professor picked up his chair, plopped it on his desk and
wrote on the board: "Using everything we have learned
this
semester, prove that this chair does not exist."
Fingers flew, erasers erased, notebooks were filled in
furious
fashion. Some students wrote over 30 pages in one hour
attempting to refute the existence of the chair.
One member of the class however, was up and finished in
less than a minute.
Weeks later when the grades were posted, the rest of the
group wondered how he could have gotten an A when he had
barely written anything at all.
They found his answer consisted of two words: "What
chair?"
