The Secret to Making Money With Online

IntroductionI am assuming that you are reading this article because you are interested in making money online, generally, and on the forums specifically. I trust that the information contained herein will not leave you disappointed-if it does, then you have not followed my instructions completely...you CAN and WILL make money via the online forums if you follow my simple strategies and guidelines.
Granted, it may take time, but you can generate a sizable income off of the forums alone. Now, I don't recommend this approach in isolation, a well-rounded Internet marketing platform will include forum marketing, affiliate marketing, perhaps a product or two, Google AdSense and AdWords, opt-in e-mail, e-zines, etc., just to name the most popular (and most effective) income generation strategies utilizing the web.
Now on to the strategies...
Secret #1
The first secret of forum marketing (and Internet marketing in general) is this-There really are NO secrets! The advertising strategies utilized on the web in Internet marketing are, essentially, the same strategies that have been used by offline advertisers and marketers for decades (with slight variations in application no doubt). The idea is that you want to catch the attention of your prospective customers and clients and no one word sells a product better, arguably, than "SECRET." So, if there is a true secret, then the word "secret" is the secret!

Of course other words are equally powerful at attracting and capturing the eye of your potential clientele, and you should choose these carefully when considering your ad and then, when an effective combination is decided upon, you should utilize them liberally. Bear in mind, especially with forum advertising, that you only have a limited number of characters available for your eye catching subject line, so here especially, your preliminary "pitch" should be well thought out and constructed. The goal is to get people to read your actual forum post(s), and with a sub-standard subject line your post will, more often than not, be passed over. To follow are some words and phrases that work very well in such limited advertising space on the forums, drawing customers in by pricking their curiosity:
-"Secret"
-"Limited Time Only..."
-"Special Offer for Forum Members Only..."
-"Internet Marketing Guru Reveals..."
-"Brand New..."
-"New and Innovative..."
-"Make Money TODAY..."
Etc.
Be creative and, as you meditate on your product or service, try to relate such words and phrases to your product/service and create an ad that stands out. For an ad to stand out, it must be different (if only slightly) than other ads on the same forum that you are advertising on. It must also be bold. Think of your subject line in terms of fishing-it is the bait! Ask this question of your ad-What would it take to motivate you to purchase it?
I suggest visiting the forum or forums that you intend to advertise on and look for two things prior to actually constructing (and definitely prior to posting) your ad. 1) Notice the ads that catch YOUR attention. 2) Now, out of the ads that caught your eye, observe the number of times those particular ads have been read. Ignore those for now that have only been read several times and single out those with the highest number of reads. Pick 3-5 of these, write down the subject lines that both caught your attention and have the highest number of reads, and utilize these ads to guide your own ad construction. Success is patterned after success.

4 'P's of a Customer Generating Social Marketing Strategy

Social marketing per-se has a history of nearly three decades with the exception that it was used differently when compared to the modern age of the Internet. An effective social marketing plan should be evolved with the right marketing mix and account for the uniqueness of products and the environments where they work. Here are 4 important components of your marketing strategy: 1. Product
The product, in a social marketing context is generally not a tangible item (it can be at times though). Often it is a practice to improve life, or urge people to do things that they generally don't - like eating more fiber, conserving water, doing exercise etc. The core values of the target audience are taken into account and the social marketing plan is evolved similar to a commercial marketing plan.
2. Price
The emotional or social costs often override the monetary cost and the effort should be focused on reducing these emotional and social costs like embarrassment, time, deprivation (from something usually enjoyed) social disapproval etc.
3. Place
It is important to remember that the time available to communicate your message is very short almost similar to the aperture of a camera. The target audience needs to learn where and when they can act on your message and that needs to be communicated in clear and simple terms.
4. Promotion
The target composition in a social marketing plan can be vastly different from the commercial marketing approach. Therefore, the social marketing plan should be tailored for the typical audience segment.

Common Technical Questions
Is there a way to find out the name, phone number and email
addresses of those who had a look at my ad. I have their IP
address. Is there a way I can follow that to the person?
Unfortunately you cannot legitimately capture someone's
email address simply because they visit our site or
yours. Imagine what would happen to internet surfing if
you or I were surfing someone's site and because we
visited the site they would have our email address or
contact information.
Responses to your advertisement are email messages sent
to you when a visitor to our site clicks on the heading
of your ad. When this happens, our visitor is redirected
to your site. At the same moment, message is sent to you
(if you selected this option) just to let you know that
you had a visit to your site.
This option helps you to analyze effectiveness of your
advertising. Those messages are sort of simple hit
counter to your ad when you have no other more
sophisticated tools to track your responses. In some
cases when the user who clicked on your ad is our
registered user, your confirmation email will contain a
link to contact this person.
The solution for this is when someone visits your web
site, you could have a capture page or email capture
box, you could offer them a free catalog or e-doc and
they would have to leave their email to get it sent.
This would give you a way to follow up, remember to let
the viewer know that you will not provide their info to
a third party.
