What is DUI Evaluation(s) and how this work

DUI evaluations are conducted by law enforcement officers in Georgia. Evaluation is a process of evaluating the driving skills of the driver suspected to be under influence of alcohol or drugs. The officer will ask questions about the driver’s history, conduct a field sobriety test. Finally, the officer will conduct an eye examination with a ‘penlight’ and look for pupil size and reaction to light.

The process is not as simple as it sounds, as many factors can affect the outcome of a DUI Evaluation. For example, if the officer conducts a field sobriety test and suspects that the driver might be under influence but doesn't have enough evidence to prove it, they may try to solicit information from other drivers or passengers to confirm their suspicions.
